Online headline/story: "Trump lashes out at China after getting criticism
over phone call with Taiwan * "Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their
currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products
going into their country (the U.S. doesn't tax them) or to build a massive
military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don't think so!" Trump
said on Twitter." -- Yes! It's good to have a president that stands up for the
American Way.. The world already feels sanity has returned.
---
I support Trump recognizing Taiwan.. Doesn't mainscream media remember remember that Carter not only initiated this situation, he gave up the Panama Canal as well.. so we have no control over Panama in its dealings with China. And until Obama came on the scene, Carter had no competition for being the worst president in our lifetime.

Online headline: "Joe Biden: 'I am going to run in 2020'" -- Hmmm... OK.... but my question is: where... or at a minimum.. where to?
---
It would almost have been worth it to actually watch a NFL game to see KaeperPRICK get sacked more times than his output on yards passing in Sunday's game..but my integrity is more important than instant gratification

Jill Stein...whatta fraud...she says she'd call for a recount regardless who won.. Good grief..does Stein think Hellary supporters would have funded her witch hunt if Hellary had won.. and who does she think funded this one.

It's been 4 weeks since the voters rejected the assault by Columbus "Progressives" to remove the tax freeze...now, how many of those "Progressives" have gone to the tax office and voluntarily given up their Homestead Exemption and tax protection?
---
Good grief...Obama has invited Japanese officials to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial.. What is Obama doing...ending his term with another "Apology Tour"..sorta apologizing for our ships and men getting in the way of Japanese bombs?
---
California Representative Rohrabacher has been added to the list of potential candidates as Secretary of State. Rorhabacher has a penetrating, chiseled image which would serve our needs effectively. As it is, John Kerry is the current Sec of State, and his "muppet" look has been a disadvantage to American interests.
---
Liberals are the pits.. Trump's new tax plan may raise personal deductions to $15,000/$30,000 for single/couples,and libs are out with their doomsday message that it may reduce the number of people filing itemized taxes, and people may not be able to take their mortgage interest deduction. Good grief, as I figure out my taxes, I will compute whether itemizing or using the fixed deduction is best for us.

L-E headline/story: "CHATTAHOOCHEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * College and
Career Academy coming * The mission of the academies is to prepare students for
the workforce through relevant secondary and postsecondary career training. " --
"prepare students for the workforce "? Huh? Isn't this what high school is
SUPPOSE TO BE DOING ALL ALONG?

Good grief.. there are 80.... that's right 80 bowl games this season... not
80 teams going to a bowl game, but 80 bowl games.. 160 teams.. I guess most of
them are played so even coaches with losing records can collect that "bonus" in
the contract clause about going to a bowl game.. Too bad Hallmark will be
finished with its "Christmas Movie Lineup".. so we'd have something worthwhile
to watch during the Bowl season..between REAL bowl games .

Will someone please put Mayor TomLYINGson in the same room as Marshall Countryman and have them discuss what a "PPV" (Police Pursuit Vehicle) designation means on a Dodge Charger vehicle purchased by the City Manager.. It seems that Countryman has a better grasp of the basic equipment, but TomLYINGson has the sycophantic L-E reporting her version. * The mission of the academies is to prepare students for the workforce through relevant secondary and postsecondary career training.

From the Council Agenda..First Reading: "PROPOSED PILOT PROJECT PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN CCG & RUBICON GLOBAL, LLC: Approval is requested to accept a donation of consulting services and technology from Rubicon Global, LLC, for a Municipal Waste Data Pilot Project for services valued at $443,880 and authorize to enter into any appropriate agreement for participation in the waste data pilot project. The 12- month partnership will allow the city to test a suite of technological resources designed to improve residential waste and recycling systems." -- You know.. if donated "consulting services and technology" are worth $443,880.00, paying for them would eat up the Mayor TomLYINGson stated savings of once, versus twice, a week garbage pick ups. And since it still takes the Garbage Department 4 days, whether visiting every household once or twice a week, how are we saving the money TomLYINGson stated..

From the Council Agenda: "GREEN PLAZA (MONUMENT & REHABILITATION): Approval is requested to enter into a contractual agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the rehabilitation project for Mott's Green Plaza in the amount of $1 million. Under this agreement, GDOT will provide 80 percent of the Preliminary Engineering and Construction Cost ($800,000). The local match of 20 percent ($200,000) is budgeted in the fiscal year 2017 Capital Improvement Program under the TSPLOST Discretionary funds." -- Wait a minute.. I thought all SPLOST.. whether T-SPLOST or local city/school SPLOSTS were voted on to pay for estimated costs of SPECIFIC projects.. how does a "discretionary fund" exist?

Another Council request: "PROJECT FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT FOR INFANTRY ROAD & EXTENSION OF THE FOLLOW ME TRAIL: Approval is requested to enter into a contractual agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the new Infantry Road and the extension of the Follow Me Trail project in the amount of $1,500,000. Under this agreement, GDOT will provide 80 percent of the Preliminary Engineering and Construction Cost ($1,200,000). The purchase will be accomplished by cooperative purchasing via GSA federal contract." -- And what purpose are these "license plate readers" to serve?

Another questionable Council purchase request: "SUPPORT OF THE IASWORLD AND ORACLE SOFTWARE SYSTEM * It is requested that council approve payment to Tyler Technologies (Dallas, Texas) for the annual maintenance and technical support of the ias-World and Oracle software system in the approximate amount of $191,815. for the period covering Dec. 1, 2016 through Nov. 30, 2017. Approval is also requested to approve payment for the annual maintenance and support for subsequent years, including cost increases for all aspects of the system, which will be budgeted in the appropriate fiscal years." -- Tyler Technologies.. that's the company the Mayor hired to computer assess our properties.. Two things.. Why do we need an ongoing use of such services since 1- we have a paid Tax Assessor's Office and staff, and 2 - since WE beat the mayor's attempt at elimnating our property tax freeze, why would we need annual updates from a Texas technology firm when we have a city office that should do that?

Council even wants to purchase 3 new "street sweepers"... Heck, if the City ran a street sweeper on my street in the condition the asphalt is in, the sweeper would inhale everything down to the dirt base.
