From the " do not think mainscream media will get behind Trump" department - Online headline/story: "Trump wraps up the last of his rowdy 'Thank You' rallies in Alabama * Trump ran through a list of the states he had won, boasting about his improbable victory, criticizing the polls and pundits who had cast doubt on his chances, and repeating his usual criticisms of the "very dishonest" media that covered his campaign. * Trump also praised the Electoral College system, which handed him a decisive victory over his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, despite her substantial lead in the nationwide popular vote." -- "usual criticisms"..."handed him"... "her substantial lead"? ... Good grief.. I guess Journalism schools no longer deal with professionalism, objectivity, nor researching facts. Trump nailed problem issues, worked hard and smart across the Nation, and her overall "popular vote lead" was all accounted for in ONE state!.

Let's parse California's "popular vote" for a second..Hellary got nearly 3,3 MILLION more votes than Trump.. over a 1,2 Million of those plus votes" came from Los Angeles County ALONE. Throw out Los Angeles County from the state total, and Trump WON.. In fact,Trump won 25 of the 58 counties in California.

---
You  know, if Jill Stein challenged California's "popular vote" based on citizenship, and voter ID, in Los Angeles County alone, Hellary's "popular vote" win would probably be a myth.

---
Obama says America is respected more now than 8 years ago..I agree...only the "respected more" has been acquired only since November 9th following Hellary's concession call.

---
Obama doesn't need to worry about Trump destroying his legacy...Michelle has pretty much done that with her first and last public appearances..the first one when she said she was proud if America for the first time in her life, and now she says she has no "hope".. she pathetically..and inadvertently and single handedly  reminded the world of the failure of her husband to create hope for America's future.

My bride and I were in Atlanta in late October, and again last week.. one of my key alerts to where our economy is heading is the number of big trucks are on the Interstates. October's impression wasn't encouraging, but last week big trucks were heavy going into and out of Atlanta.. I cannot remember when I saw as many of the big trucks,, Hey, Ken Nugent,, you're about to get busy..

---
Ironic, isn't it, that while Democrats are trying to blame..to pin..all the political e-mail releases on the Russians, WikiLeaks principle Julian Assange denies any collusion with the Russians.

---
Amazing...reality still hasn't set in for Democrat spinmeisters that as soon as the Electoral College casts their votes today, their jobs are basically over.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poll: A majority of Republicans think Trump won the popular vote" -- It really gets me that liberals are clinging to their claim that Hellary "won" the "popular" vote when reality is her whole advantage is the vote number from California alone. The other 49 states popular vote total favored Trump.

---
Maybe the Democratic Party leadership committee is really made up of vampires or undead..don't laugh.. have you noticed whenever they look into the mirror and point their finger-of-blame, they never see their own reflection.

---
I do declare..Saturday, we rode on Whittlesey Rd from Whitesville to Veterans and there wasn't a single orange barrel lining the street. Of course, it could have been a college prank to remove them ..

---
Good grief..with 80 Bowl games this season..160 teams...how did Grambling vs North Carolina Central get scheduled against each other?. It had to be intentional to schedule 2 "historically" black schools. To boot, it was for the Historic Black Colleges and Universities National Championship..Please.. let's move forward as a nation. When there is something good to share, it's better when shared with everyone!

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE * Darr’s defense of Shah was his undoing" --
After all the dust settles, there's really only one issue going forward.. can Tompkins run the Sheriff's Office/Jail on within the budget constraints offered by Mayor TomLYINGson? It was the primary campaign issue regardless of what is implied/printed in his L-E story.

---
L-E headline: "Now is time for conversation about parking deck in 1200 Broadway block" -- Good grief.. has the writer not traveled by car and stayed at an Atlanta hotel? If you have a car, you're going to be hit with a $34.00 +/- "valet parking" charge per night. Of course the hotels coming are going to build parking facilities for their guests. As for other public parking, let the merchants take on that challenge and build a garage.. It's what our family store and other Broadway merchants did in the 1960's. You can see how ill-fated the public sector has been for managing garages properly by seeing that the 900 block garage has gone "free" because operating it was an expense, not a positive revenue source, for the City.

---
L-E story: "When the state of Alabama executed Ronald Bert Smith Jr. last week, he became the 20th inmate put to death in the United States this year. *  No other lethal injections are scheduled for this month, meaning Smith will probably be the last inmate executed this year in the United States. As a result, the country is poised to end 2016 with its lowest number of executions in 25 years." -- And liberals wonder why violent crimes are growing.... The death sentence.. carried out with in 2 years of it's issue, is what will get the attention of street thugs... and the more public such executions are, the more impact at discouraging violent crimes. Assaults on police officers should carry mandatory death sentences now that so much info can be gathered from security and dash cameras, whether the officer is killed or not..and would be effective with officer videoed acts of intolerance or power abuse being met with zero intolerance.

Super_LIV's L-E "soundoff": "American voters have just elected someone who has no experience, major debt, unscrupulous business practices, legal difficulties, no morals … the list goes on and on. These people want to brag about their choice?" -- Wait a minute.. shouldn't this have run following the 2008 and 2012 elections... and after the DNC nominating convention?

---
Random thought: "The 13th Amendment to the Constitution declared that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." Formally abolishing slavery in the United States, the 13th Amendment was passed by the Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified by the states on December 6, 1865." -- Will someone please post this on Theresa El-Amin's FB page.. The same Amendment that abolished slavery (oh, and only passed because of the Republican Party) also kept such involuntary servitude for CONVICTED criminals ... regardless of race.

---
L-E headline: "PRESIDENTIAL TRANSITION * Trump’s Cabinet picks signal a major shift" -- Yeah.. a shift away from political hacks and cronies to a Cabinet filled with concerned and successful leaders willing to share thie success with all of America..

---
Booty Max.. one of those insufferable ads bombarding the TV air waves just in time for the holidays..any time I hear an ad promising the fast, easy, and fun way to lose weight, I wonder if it's being marketed by Democrats.

---
Demented LIV's L-E "soundoff": "A Maine detox facility is using cannabis to get addicts off opiates, and they are having success with it. Makes sense, as you cannot die using marijuana because it is not physically addicting." -- "not physically addicting"? Good grief.. then why do people commit crimes to get money to purchase it?

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "To the people who voted for Trump: Watch what you wish for, and reap what you sow. And so will we." -- Hmmm.. with a chance to "sow" success versus "more of the same, America chose to move forward rather than wither on the vine.

---
L-E headline/story "Harris Co. system on AP District Honor Roll * In fact, Harris County is the only Columbus area school system ever to be on the AP District Honor Roll. * Inclusion is based on three years of AP data. This year, the period is from 2014 through 2016." -- Hmmm... and our Superintendent has been here all those years...

There's a wonderful plea for passing "Marsy's Law" in today's Columbus L-E.. a number of victims/victims' families right are addressed. I can agree wholeheartedly with most of these rights, but I do think any "right to restitution" needs to be clarified.. who is going to be responsible for "restitution"? If victims/families of victims can get money out of the perpetrators, so be it, but it is not the taxpayers responsibility.
