News out of Atlanta regarding Mayor TomLYINGson's assault on local taxpayers. The Senate has tabled it because of language being conflictory with constitutional issues. E-mail McKoon and Harbison your gratitude.

Online headline/story: "Veterans Benefits Administration chief suspended in relocation scam for allowing two lower-ranking officials to manipulate the agency's hiring system for their own gain. *  Deputy VA Secretary Sloan Gibson says acting VBA chief Danny Pummill will be suspended without pay for 15 days for his role in a relocation scam that has roiled the agency for months *   Pummill failed to exercise proper oversight as Kimberly Graves and Diana Rubens forced lower-ranking managers to accept job transfers and then stepped into the vacant positions themselves, keeping their senior-level pay while reducing their responsibilities * Under VA rules, Pummill can appeal his suspension to an independent arbiter. *   Rubens earns $181,497 as director of the VBA's Philadelphia regional office, while Graves receives $173,949 as head of the St. Paul, Minnesota, benefits office.  * Graves and Rubens were reprimanded Tuesday and had their pay cut by 10 percent. The two women were reinstated to their positions last month after administrative judges overturned their demotions." -- Good grief... no wonder our Vets are getting the "bum's rush". We need Trump.. all three of theses cretins need to hear, "You're Fired"!, loud and clearly...In fact.. The Public needs to send all the members of Congress' Veterans Affairs committees packing as well.

Online "headLIE": "Obama: US will do 'whatever is necessary' to bring Brussels bombers to justice" -- Yeah, right... all ISIS has to do is draw a "red line" in the sand, and ZERO-bamageddon won't even try to sneal across it.

---
The ISIS attacks in Brussels just reminded me of the situation I reported about last week. We went to Atlanta International Sunday a week ago to meet my daughter and her husband as they returned from Paris. We parked, strolled across the "bridge", and into the International waiting area. We met no security personnel. I could just as easily been a armed terrorist, and could have created immense havoc/chaos and escaped. Perhaps I was being watched, but without having any posted security personnel in that area left every other traveler/greeter in immense danger.

Well the Arizona primary and Utah caucus results are in.. Trump won Arizona with more votes and a higher percent that Romney got in 2012, and in Utah.. pretty much "Romney Country", even though Cruz won, in spite of Romney's spiel for Cruz, Cruz came up way short of the results Romney got there in 2012..

---
Interesting note in Arizona.. Rubi-ZERO came in 3rd ahead of Kasich, and Trump had 36% more votes than Cruz and Kasich COMBINED.

---
Interesting note in Utah...the "voter" turnout in Romney-ville was only 77% of the number that voted in 2102.. Guess Romney has lost some impact there as well.

---
The numbers in Utah were worse than the Romney caucus.. only 50% as many Dems turned out as in 2008, and Bernie beat Hillary 4-to-1.. Hillary only got 12,000 voters inspired to support her... and that was less than 25% of the number she got vs Obama in 2008.

---
Oh, and in the Idaho Democratic County Caucus, Bernie landslided Hillary,, again,, by a 4-to-1 margin..You know,, it's not so much that voters like Bernie... it's more like Hillary cannot get Democrats out to support her..

---
Online story: "In the wake of Brussells, former CNN host and outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has suggested it might be time to take Donald Trump seriously in the wake of Tuesday's terror attacks in Belgium." -- While it wasn't a full-fledged endorsement of Trump, here's a lib seeing the merits of Trump's plan to block Muslim immigration for what it is for.. our Nation's security.

---
Talk about leadership...all Trump has to do is mention what we all know.
that we don't get any benefit from the UN, and Cruz & Kasich are suddenly all for the UN.

Online headline: "Jane Fonda admits she didn't think she 'deserved' the same salary as men: 'My self-esteem was so low'" -- "didn't think she deserved the same salary as men"? She didn't, and still doesn't deserve American citizenship,!

---
Online headline: "Bill Clinton slams 'awful legacy of the last eight years', claims he was criticizing Republicans" -- What did I tell you..the Clintons just cannot live with themselves when they speak the truth and have to apologize profusely! Recently, Hillary did the same thing.. apologized for telling the truth about Republicans Ronald and Nancy Reagan. and now Slick Willie is experiencing his "truth remorse.. Bill knows that his legacy would have been even worse crap than it is if he had it not been going along with the Republicans when he was president.

L-E story: "Historic Golden Park, which the city was considering selling as surplus property, got a reprieve Tuesday afternoon, City Attorney Clifton Fay confirmed. * A deed restriction placed on the property around the time the stadium was built in 1926 prevents it from being used for any purpose other than recreation." --
Well, how about just tearing it down and making it a recreational green space until such time as the selling details can be worked out. Saving $80-$90,000.00 per year would be doing the taxpayers a great service. Regardless, when it.. and for that matter, when other "surplus properties" are sold, the money should be earmarked to the "fund Balance savings account.

From the "liberals always have good intentions" department - Online story: "California regulators may force a massive solar thermal power plant in the Mojave Desert to shut down after years of under-producing electricity — not to mention the plant was blinding pilots flying over the area and incinerating birds. * Ivanpah, which got a $1.6 billion loan guarantee from the Obama administration, only produced a fraction of the power state regulators expected it would. The plant only generated 45 percent of expected power in 2014 and only 68 percent in 2015, according to government data." --  Hmmm... looks like another taxpayer $1.6 BILLION is going to be incinerated like the birds.

---
Online story: "For 20 minutes Monday night, the Smyrna City Council meeting was taken over by protesters angered over the promotion of Smyrna Police Officer Kenneth Owens. *  Officer Owens has admitted to shooting Nicholas Thomas on March 24 last year, telling investigators he fired as Thomas sped by in a customer's Maserati at a tire shop.  * Owens claimed that he feared Thomas would hit a K-9 officer.*  Demonstrators believe the grand jury didn't get all of the evidence." -- "Demonstrators believe the grand jury didn't get all of the evidence"?  Hmm to cite Hillary.. what difference would it make to the demonstrators.. they were not assembled about justice...

---
Online headline: "Johnny Isakson: Georgia should leave ‘religious liberty’ up to feds" --
leave religious liberty up to the feds"?  The feds don't want us to have ANY liberty! Good grief.. whoever is running against Isakson has my vote! Gonna check out others and will let you know which one.

---
L-E story: "Columbus Council stepped away Tuesday from a decision on whether to approve a contract with a private pool operator to take over the aquatic center. *  Faced with a proposal to approve an $825,000 contract with a suburban Atlanta company, which would cut the hours of operation from 89 a week to 45, council voted to remove the issue from the table *   “I’m not going to vote for 45 hours,” Councilor Pops Barnes said. “I’m just not going to do it.” -- "I’m not going to vote for 45 hours"? Good grief.. then close the dang building altogether! It's not a choice of 45 or 89 hours, it's a choice of whether a facility can be useful and not a drain on the taxpayers. If there was a "need" for 89 hours, then the public users would be responding  positively and such would be an issue. Try it for 45 hours a week.. swimmers will adjust, and if an event is scheduled, let the sponsor pay for opening it up full time on the days needed. We just have too many Councilors who don't have to run businesses that understand it to be profitable to meet a payroll.

Not a good night  for Mayor TomLYINGson... no vote on the AquaCenter, no vote on Golden Park, and NO VOTE for her tax freeze!

---
L-E headline: "GEORGIA LEGISLATURE * Lawmakers pack agenda as end of session nears" -- How could the L-E run this story and not mention the status of Mayor TomLYINGson's "thaw" initiative? Word was out yesterday that the Senate version has been taken of the table becuase of wording.

---
L-E headline: "DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT * 7 ideas for Carmike building * Some see it as office space that could attract a large white-collar employer Some see it as a prime location for a hotel * Others see it as mix of office, retail, residential" -- Hmmm.. you know, all the "ideas" are good.. even feasible.. but you what's going to happen.. either the City or CSU will buy it and the building on 3rd Ave & 13th Street, and Columbus will lose another $94,000.00 in tax revenue.. Hmm.. better get Golden Park torn down faster.. City is going to need to cut the $80-$90,000.00 revenue losses pronto!

---
L-E headline: "Urban League closer to hiring CEO" -- Good grief.. not one word about the salary range or who's paying it...

---
L-E story: "Big companies are pushing back against proposed federal rules they say would require their medical plans to cover gender transition and other services under the nondiscrimination mandate of President Barack Obama’s health care law." -- "require their medical plans to cover gender transition"? Good grief! That's .. at best.. elective surgery (genital mutilation is more accurate).. What  next,,routine boob jobs and hair plug operations?
