From the "we coulda helped and maintained damage control" department - Online headline: "The FBI says it has hacked into the San Bernardino shooter's phone without Apple's help" -- Now what's Apple going to do?.. Since the FBI has done it, then it will be all over the I-net by summer, and Apple will not have happy customers.. betcha Wall Street brokers will be out on street corners "selling Apple".

Online headline: "Donald Trump adds political strategist to his campaign team" -- Whew.. it isn't Karl Rove!

Here's the latest affront to normalcy.. Gender Neutral/Transgender bathroom signs/designation. Look like the figure on the right is a guy dressed in drag who's gotten a little excited

Online story: "In a speech to a journalism awards dinner, Obama urged journalists to ask tougher questions of the candidates vying to be president. " -- Hmmm... like they did him? ZERO-bamageddon could move things a long way if he'd answer the questions about his college admission citizenship status and his Visa citizenship declaration in his youth.

Kanye West donned an Easter Bunny suit for a party for his daughter.. Surprise! Guess what.. it was not a black Easter Bunny suit. There's still hope for integration.

Can you believe Kerry is saying he's embarrassed about what Republican candidates are SAYING about foreign policy? Good grief, how about how embarrassing Kerry and ZERO-bamageddon's actual policy and deals have made American citizens feel! Now that's embarrassing!

Dems are trying to get Bleep Veep Biden to help Hillary with the white male vote. Why would he? I still look to see Biden "step in" by convention time to become the Dem nominee.

L-E headline/story: "Smith: McKoon cost CSU, Infantry Museum funding * Columbus State University and the National Infantry Museum lost funding in the most recent state budget because of the divisive actions of Republican Sen. Josh McKoon, according to a senior member of the local General Assembly delegation.
* “You can only stick a stick in somebody’s eye so long before enough is enough,” Rep. Richard Smith said late Monday afternoon. “They are going to give it to somebody who has been supportive. * “If Richard couldn’t get the House to sustain the position, whose fault is that? It’s not my fault,” McKoon said of the budget. “My job is to advocate for the budget position in the Senate. That’s the way it works. … This just sounds to me like Richard feels like he got thrown under the bus last week and now he thinks it’s my turn.”" -- sounds to me that Smith is only a "fair weather friend". Don't forget he sold us homeowners out, too, by voting "yes" on the tax thaw bill

Governor Deal vetoed the Freedom of Religion Act.. sounds like Deal has made a deal of his own. To boot, it is the same bill already in effect in many states, and how many companies do you know that moved out?

L-E headline: "The play that may have saved Golden Park" -- Good grief.. now what? Baseball at Golden Park is not in its future unless we want another AquaticCenter financial failure..and the structure is sure not going to improve with age (just ask the MCSD how neglect works on preserving old school buildings), so what next? Turning it into the site for the Civic Center (as I suggested in 1990) is moot, but boy what a grand site and a grand sight it would have been. It would have anchored South Commons to the downtown area via Broadway, and what a sight it would be coming across the Oglethorpe Bridge. Hmmm... what could have been......

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Pezold was right * In Florida I covered all counties in the state, and municipalities. The Sunshine Law covered fair dealings. Columbus selling land worth half a million to 3/4 of a million for $50,000 is outrageous! Pezold is correct." -- Well in a sense, it's poetic justice.. Pezold sold the homeowners out, but he will get a tax break when the Pezold Hotel get devalued and reassessed. On the other hand. if Pezold was "right", he'd have done the "right" thing, and followed through with the promise to expand, and had that parking lot all sewed up.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Congratulation to Mayor Teresa Tomlinson for proposing full funding for our world class aquatic center. Maximum usage is the issue. I pray our council will see the vision." -- Good grief.. how stupid is a person who supports operating a facility at a loss during the worse hours. Minimize the operational losses by opening at the best hours.. the few people who use it (and don't want to pay for their use) will adjust if it's important.

From the "liberal bias" department - L-E editorial cartoon: Pick the only
one who lives in a walled country:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
You can tell times are tough at the L-E.. The "Foreclosure Section" is now
Section C.. it use to be Section E..
