Online headline: "Harvard is dropping controversial seal" -- "Black Lives Matter", "PETA" and the "Clowns of America" will probably have simultaneous protests.

---
Why...other than for lack of real news to fill up space...do news networks conduct "if vs if" polls for president? If I wanted Cruz or Rubi-ZERO to win, and a surveyor asked me "Trump or Hillary/Bernie", I'd say Hillary/Bernie just to make Trump look weaker than who I was supporting. Do not believe these early "if" poll results.

---
Online headline: "Marco Rubio drops out of 2016 race" -- "drops out"? More like he was "drop kicked" out. Hey Rubi-ZERO, 3 out of 4 of your Florida Republicans wanted someone else!

---
The nation... and especially the Republican Party. is hungry for leadership...and that's why Trump has risen to the top.

---
Online headline/story: "US Secret Service manpower shortage as campaigns ramp up  *  the current figure of approximately 6,200 hopes to have 7,600 agents in its ranks by fiscal year 2019" -- Good grief... you'd think that 6,200 was ample, but and would be plenty if the Obama's took one jet on family vacations, and if Michele didn't take separate ones other times.

---
Oh... elect Trump and no one law abiding citizen will have to worry about government going after their guns, so it will be safer to walk the streets, and there won't be any need for extra Secret Service personnel!

---
Online headline: "KKK grand dragon endorses Hillary Clinton for president" -- Hmmm... musts been that picture of Hillary at age 27 with the Confederate flag in her office.or the campaign pin hubby Bill used when he was running.

NCAA March Insaneness? Last night Vanderbilt and Wichita State matched up in a feeder game in the 11th seed slot of the South bracket. Vanderbilt lost and will go home.. meanwhile, Austin Peay, UNC Ashville, Buffalo, Hawaii, and South Dakota state, the 16th, 15th, 14th, 13th and 12th seeds of that bracket are still in the tournament..what sense does it make to eliminate a 11th seeded team instead one of 5 yeams in its bracket that are ranked lower than Vanderbilt?

Have you seen the street markings on 10th Street as it prepares for two-way traffic again? Drove up it yesterday, and saw something incredibly "PC" and incredibly "STUPID"! There's a bike lane next to the curb, and parallel parking spots between the bike lane and moving traffic. Obviously, our designers/engineers have no clue to how life works.. Car drivers are used to checking for moving traffic when getting out of their cars from parallel parking spots because their doors open into the traffic flow.. but passengers are use to opening their doors without thinking about what could be coming up beside them. Woe be the bicyclists as passenger doors swing open as they try to ride by parked cars on the passenger side, And, mothers with children usually have their baby/child seats on the passenger side because it takes a while to strap them in or unstrap them. Most car doors will span the bike lanes making bicyclers move out into the traffic lane... hmmm..isn't that where bicyclists should be to begin with?

Online story: "The GA General Assembly agreed Tuesday to pony up the tax break on ticket sales the National Football League requires for cities that want to host a Super Bowl." -- Good grief.. give tlanta a break while the rest of the state gets stuck without its share of tax revenues.. Well, my response is that for the next three years, we will not shop or take a hotel room in Atlanta and pay that 5% overnight tax there.

---

L-E story: ": At a recent meeting of aquatic center stakeholders, Columbus Hurricane Head Coach Jeff Pishko said swimmers in Columbus are blessed to have such a facility, but that cutting back on hours will lessen its appeal. *  “This is certainly one of the top five facilities (in the state) for sure,” Pishko said. “But if we get cut back to 45 hours and word gets around, we’ll be very hard-pressed to get any kind of major event going into the future.” -- Well, aquatic center "stakeholders" step up to  plate and pay for your time! Besides,  even if reducing for normal hours for everyday use doesn't mean hours cannot be extended for events.. It's about reducing the losses of being open. Shutting down completely is an option that has to be considered.

---
From above story: " The city’s lightning policy is actually required by the state Department of Public Health’s regulations, which require public pool operators to close the pools when lightning is present, (City Attorney)Fay said. * Pishko said he managed to get the meet away from the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center, which has hosted it and does not shut down meets when lightning is present. Apparently, Georgia Tech is allowed to do so because, as a state entity, it can seek and be granted a waiver from the regulation, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson said. County entities have no such ability." -- Let me get this straight.. a state entity can be exempted from stata law and a City can't? This reeks! It's bad enough that CSU doesn't have to honor Columbus' Historic District protocol while small private businesses have to do so, but to favor a state facility by exempting a safety law is pure BS!

L-E headline: "Tickets for Elton John show to be released * Limited number of tickets to sold-out show to become available around noon Traffic and security delays expected" -- Wait a dang minute.. how can this be! WE scrambled to get tickets when they were first released, and had to pay scalper fees to buy them onlie, and the Civic Center has been holding out seats that may even be better than the ones we bought, and 200  other peple have been denied getting seats.. this is wrong and the Civic Center head's head should roll! Oh, and I still want the names of the freebie tickets the Civic Center manager can give to Council members and other favorites.

LIV's (Liberal Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": "People, people, people: Ted Cruz (yes, that one) has received more funding from Wall Street than Hillary. Check out the disclosures. Numbers do not lie." -- hmmm... "numbers do not lie"? Well where did this LIV get his/her numbers.. from Hillary.. like yeah,, she'd never tell a lie..

---
L-E headline: "Angelina Jolie: World has failed refugees" -- Good greif.. how many bedrooms in Jolie's house are not used.. what about her vacation homes? Let me select a few "refugees" to send to her homes to take in!  yeah, yeah.. Jolie is a "nimby" !

---
L-E's "Today in History" feature: " In 1935, Adolf Hitler decided to break the military terms set by the Treaty of Versailles by ordering the rearming of Germany." -- Hmmm you have to wonder if Kerry's family negoiated the Treaty of Versailles like Kerry negotiated the Treaty with Iran over neuclear bombs.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself, and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true.” — From “The Scarlet Letter” by Nathaniel Hawthorne, American author (1804-1864)." -- Good greif.. Hawthorne never considered the rise of Clintons and NERO-bamageddon!

---
L-E headline/story: "Columbus Council approves all three TADs *  Once a city or county establishes a TAD, revenue bonds can be issued." -- and the taxpayers are on the hook for the failures.. City and School serv ices will take a hit.

---
Oh.. I finally did get a response about whether Carver High School had a "S.T.A.R." student for this and last year.. Nope,, neither year.. it's important to note this because the MCSD has been trying to play up some AP Award given to Carver that is basically bogus.. The requirements of a student being named as a S=school's "S.T.A.R." student is, at a minimum, have a S.A.T. score that is the average or better.. not one Carver student met that qualification Carver was a :gem" when it was rebuilt with state of the art technology. This is what we get for our money as taxpayers. Vote out the incumbents on the School Board!

---
L-E headline: "NAACP investigates Waddell Elementary School bullying case" -- Hmmm... OK.. now is the NAACP also investigating students who bully teachers or student who bully their classmates by disruptive attitude/actions in the classrooms?

---
L-E headline: "Obama abolishes last restrictions on travel to Cuba" -- Wait a minute.. didn't the negotiations pend on noticeable improvements of the Cuban governments human rights abuses to its citizens before open travel would open?

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY CHILD SERVICES * Five ways to fix foster care" -- Ok.. I read the 5 ways, but noticed that none of those ways addressed irresponsible sexual activity.. and isn't this what causes most of the problems? Sex ED.. just another school failure.

---
L-E story: " The Obama administration said Tuesday it will not allow offshore drilling in the southeast Atlantic Ocean — a significant reversal from its original plan and a major victory to coastal communities and environmental activists who fought the proposal." -- Major win for coastal communities"? How.. 1000s of new jobs would have brought economic growth back in those areas will not happen.

---
L-E editorial headline/content: "Valley area prominent in 2016 ‘Georgia Counties of Excellence * There are 159 counties in Georgia, second only to Texas (which is a whole lot bigger, and apparently ran so short of names it had to dub one of its counties Deaf Smith). But only six of our counties were recognized by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia and Georgia Trend magazine as 2016 Georgia Counties of Excellence. * Columbus-Muscogee County is one of them." -- Hmmm... guess this punctures all Mayor TomLYINGson's claims that the "freeze" hurts Columbus.. Harris County.. most oft mentioned as the beneficiary, did not make "the list". Vote out the incumbents on Council who support the "thaw".

---

L-E headline: "Low gas prices drag down U.S. retail sales in Feb."  - How can something like low gas prices drag down retail sales? With cheaper gas, people drive more.. but we;ll see whether that theory holds water next month because gas prices have risen 20-30% the first 2 week of March. Retail sales should be booming if true.
