Online headline/story: "Trump calls off Chicago rally as chaos erupts * The GOP candidate canceled an event on Friday night due to safety concerns after thousands of supporters and protesters became dangerously rowdy. * One of the organizers, N******* L****, 25, a master's degree student in public health at the University of Illinois at Chicago, said he was shocked they succeeded in shutting the rally down.
"I'm happy, I'm at peace because we came together as a collective," Lewis told Reuters. "This is the last thing we expected to happen, it shows the power of unity.": -- "power of unity"? What BS.. If anything, it shows the "power" of being a disruptive (_*_) demonstrating an abuse of the 1st Amendment!

Following the Chicago fiasco last night, I wasn't surprised at Rubio's response, but Cruz showed he's pretty much written off his chances. He had the opportunity to demonstrate his love of country, but chose to put himself before his country.  Until now, I could support Cruz if Trump didn't win the nomination, but Trump was not the boogie man in the Chicago demonstration.

How can our allies feel comfortable with NERO-bamageddon behind them not knowing whether he has their back, or may stab them in it?

What is happening on Veterans Parkway south of 13th Street? Un ungodly amount of money was spent to "pretty it up" by, as I was informed, the "best such designer in the country", yet yesterday I saw a block of it being basically dismantled.

Did you hear about the situation in Katy, Texas where the Katy Islamic Association bought 11 acres next to a pig farm, and now wants the pig farmer to move? Needless to say.. that didn't happen.. the farmer started having weekly "pig races" during Friday evening prayer sessions... The Katy Islamic Association.. wait a minute.. that's a little cumbersome to repeatedly type out, so I'll give it an acronym.. K.IS.MU.ASS.

L-E headline story: "How do TADs help develop blighted areas? * Atlantic Station in Atlanta a good example Council to consider three more Tuesday Those include Liberty District, Uptown, City Village *  Atlanta created a TAD for the site in 1999. Bond money was then used to erect a bridge across Interstate 75/85 to connect the development to Peachtree Street and downtown. In addition to environmental cleanup, the bond money also helped finance sewer lines, roads and sidewalks that helped attract investors and developers.
 *  The result is easily visible to people driving through the heart of the city on the interstate: a thriving 138-acre residential and commercial development that will, when the TAD expires, greatly increase the city’s tax base." -- "created ....in 1999"? "when the TAD expires, greatly increase the city’s tax base"? You know.. of all the TADs, this ONE was selected to demonstarte potential (versus tons that have fizzled and tax payers are still on the hook), yet not one number is proffered to show the amount spent, the bomnd liability nor.. nor when the increase in taxes will kick in and how much additional tax revenues will be.  For all we know, this could be another natatorium/Aquacenter bust!

L-E headline/story: "Should we keep Sound Off ? *  You may recall that several years ago we switched from an anonymous commenting system on our website to one that required contributors to be registered on Facebook. This has dramatically reduced the number of hateful comments on our site. * With Sound Off, we select which comments we run in the newspaper, and we screen out a lot of hateful ones. (Did I mention you should see the ones we don’t print?)" -- The "column" has always had great potential for exposing warts and highlighting exceptionalisms in the Columbus area. but the L-E has dragged it into the pits at time.. Some selections are so inaccurate. so devoid of truth. that one must assume that the "selector" is expressing his own political viewpoints but without filtering for actual fact based points.

L-E headline/story: "Wounded Warrior fires execs over spending *  Steve Nardizzi’s aggressive, entrepreneurial approach to charity work transformed the Wounded Warrior Project from a shoestring effort to provide underwear and CD players to hospitalized soldiers into an $800 million fundraising enterprise. It also led to his downfall. *   A lawyer by training who never served in the military, Nardizzi traded a career in the courts for one helping wounded veterans. He spent nearly a decade at the United Spinal Association before coming to the Wounded Warrior Project in 2006 with a corporate leadership style that catapulted the organization to the top ranks of U.S. charities.  * That success led to lavish spending — the group’s annual staff meeting in 2014 cost $970,000 — prompting complaints from employees, veterans and charity watchdogs about profiteering off veterans that emerged in reports by The New York Times and CBS News in January. *  On Thursday, Nardizzi and Chief Operating Officer Al Giordano were fired, the board of directors said, as the organization cracked down on employee expenses and strengthened controls that have not kept pace with the group’s rapid growth." -- I'm going against my policy of not using nefarious (_*_)'s names because no one should forget these two name.. Steve Nardizzi and Al Giordano. Have mentioned the high costs procurement and administrative costs associated with WWP in the recent past,so I'm glad to see this and the results. Now, why weren't GSA and IRS executives fired after their extravagant meetings/seminars were exposed?
