From the "is anybody else listening" department: United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley  listed its funding projects last week in a L-E story.. A total disbursement of $5,269,141.00 is stated.. Also stated is that "about 87 percent of the money raised during the 2015 campaign will go to fund programs and the rest will be used or administrative purchases.. Also stated is a total of "$7.1 million was raised in 2015".  Has anyone else done the math on these figures or is Common CRAP Math seeping into Bookkeeping 101? As I figure, "about 87 percent" of $7.1 million is about $6, 177,000.00... not $5,269,141.00 .. about a $907,859.00 difference.. where is that money going?

AOL headline: "Even Stephen Hawking can't explain Trump's popularity" -- Hmmm.. this is rather obvious in my book. drum roll, please... "IT's NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!" On the other hand, if a liberal like Hawking's can't explain it, why are the NYT, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS or NBC trying to do so?

Online story: "Former Attorney General Eric Holder is having a change of heart when it comes to Edward Snowden. Back in 2013, Holder told USA Today that Snowden's intelligence leaks led to a "healthy conversation" about the nation's intelligence-gathering activities but held that there was absolutely "no basis" for letting him off the hook. But on David Axelrod's podcast, The Axe Files, Monday morning, Holder showed even more leniency toward Snowden, saying he "performed a public service." -- Change of heart? Doubt it.. perhaps Snowden showed what he had on Holder and promised to release it if Holder pursued it...

You know.. what parent has not had his/her 4 year old dart off when an eye has been distracted elsewhere for just a moment, but what I want to know is how the Cincinnati Zoo Gorilla Compound was built so that a 4-year-old could get into it...there should be no circumstance where construction of a confined area could be breached by a 4-year-old.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Donald Trump And Hillary Clinton Are Wildly Unpopular. But Is This The Guy To Fill The Void?" -- Libertarian Gary Johnson? You know Hillary can't win if the HuffPOOPOO isn't excoriating a Libertarian candidate!

That bridge expansion on US 331 over the bay between Freeport, FL and the Gulf hiway...the new portion is finished...can we get them.to finish up on the Whittlesey Road expansion?

It's not just that ZERO-bama is cutting back our military strength to a number smaller than we had in 1940, it's also important to understand that in 1940, we had but 132,000,000 million Americans, and now we have over 300,000,000.

---
While watching ZERO-bama go through the motions of acting interested in the ceremony following the laying of the wreath, I couldn't help but wonder if he was thinking, "hurry up, I have a 12:00 tee time".

L-E headline: "Suspect in deputy shooting denied bond" -- That's a good first step.. the next one should be to deny him life!
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "In 1977, the trans-Alaska oil pipeline, three years in the making, was completed." -- Hmmm and 4 years ago last month, the widening project of Whittlesey Road began,, and it's still not finished.

---
Mainscream media obsesses over whether Trump can beat Hillary.. let's look at some pertinent data.. Hillary has been running for president for over 25 years, and cannot put Bernie in her rearview mirror, while Trump has been running for barely 1 year, and has blown the doors off the GOP-mobile, and about to catch up with Hillary... that, my friends, is the real data to figure this out.
---
L-E headline/story: "A lynching in Columbus: ‘Mystery’ mob leader known * Mayor Teresa Tomlinson has conceded it was a horrible thing, among many horrible things that happened back then, but says to apologize is to admit the city’s complicity in the matter and she is not willing to do that." --  Don't tell anyone that I agree with Mayor TomLYINGson, bur when she speaks the truth, I can do so.. the CCG does not have to apologize for events of 100 years ago... no matter how regrettable they were in retrospect..
---
Looking at the newly proposed budget, I notice there has been a cutback on Mayor TomLYINGson's attempt to damage the "Fund Balance" as much as her original request.. it's now down to $394.132.00.. you know.. in a budget of over $270 MILLION, you'd think Council could whittle away $394,132.00 and leave our Fund Balance where it is, and designate any surplus revenues to rebuild the Fund Balance.

Four of the 8 National "Seeds" in the NCAA World Series are from the SEC.. This along with football, makes the SEC pretty much the king of college sports.. Now, if we could get basketball up to snuff, we'd leave no doubt.. Oh! gotta add, "Hail State", as Mississippi State is one of the 4

Perhaps I was a little premature last week, but Jordan Spieth is definitely BACK! Whatta finish yesterday!

Take a moment in remembrance of brave soldiers who gave their all protecting the lives ..and freedom of Americans. Many in my family have served from the French-Indian War, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, and in the Global War Against Terrorism.. Two died in such service, my 5th great-grandfather, Col Joshua Fry,  the Commanding Officer of the Virginia Militia, in 1754 during the French Indian War, and 3-great-uncle, William Henry Kirven during the Civil War. He was captured at Lookout Mountain in 1863, shipped to the federal POW internment camp, Camp Morton, where he died of inhuman conditions, and was unceremoniously buried in a mass grave in 1864. Salute!

---
From the "truth is what we can get away claiming it is" department - HuffPOOPOO :headLIE": "Check out the latest Trump rally that turned violent" --  Good grief.. the.. no, NO Trump rally has "tuned violent".. just Democratic Party supporters have demonstrated violently at Trump rallies. Sadly, those folks are not for either Hillary or Bernie.. hey just want the "free stuff" the Democrats promise.

---
Online headline: "OBAMA: Trump’s proposals are aimed at getting 'tweets and headlines' rather than keeping America safe" -- The nerve of ZERO-bama! ZERO-bama is the first US president to leave our military and allies hanging as to if.. when.. he'll protect their backs.

---
Good grief.. the "Bern" has called Trump out as a "flip-flopper" because Trump correctly deemed a pre-convention debate between the two would not be appropriate.. Trump's right... and he should add an addendum that he will if Bernie can muster up the nomination. The Bern" also called Trump a pathological liar".. Hmmm.. isn't Bernie the one that gives Hillary a pass on lying, e-mails, Benghazi, and debate avoidance?

---
From the "things I learn looking up other things" department: Donald Trump's birthday is June 14.....how appropriate.. FLAG DAY... and for the first time in 8 years, we can raise our flags .. not just with pride, but EXCITEMENT!

---
HuffPOOPOO :headLIE": "America's Seniors Can Count on Hillary Clinton" -- The only thing America's seniors can count on with Hillary is losing Medicare at age 76...

---
One of my daughters gave me a Trump 2016 t-shirt for my birthday last month. I wore it on a walk on the beach at Santa Rosa yesterday. It was amazing the number of "thumbs up" smiles and comments I got from fellow vacationers.

---
As much as I love vacationing on 30a between Panama City and Destin, one community, Seaside, just went on my s*** list. The merchant community just went GREEDY! Every purchase we made was hit with an illegal 1% tax to pay for "Arts&Entertainment". When questioned, wait staff tried to comply with the merchants' request not to call it a tax..but a fee, but it's a tax..an illegal tax, because that group is not authorized to initiate a tax. I'm PO'd because we went there BECAUSE of the "movie night" and paid a premium for food that would have been cheaper elsewhere. I feel double-taxed. Next time, we'll just eat/shop elsewhere before we go, and each time after that until they stop charging that illegal tax.

---
Hillary just reconfirmed her lack of leadership.....again..remember when she said Bill, a man, was better qualified to run the economy? Well, now she responds to the State Department IG's charge that she broke the laws by saying "everybody else did it" so it's OK for her..A leader would have said "I'm going to obey the laws/rules!"

---
From the "liberals care more for style over substance" department - Online headline/story: " Killing of gorilla to save boy at Ohio zoo sparks outrage * The killing of a gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo after a 4-year-old boy tumbled into the ape's enclosure triggered outrage and questions about safety, but zoo officials called the decision to use lethal force a tough but necessary choice." -- You know, liberals would have like to have seen the 4 year-old shot... and would say it was a mercy killing so the gorilla wouldn't be traumatized by the 4 year-old and his parents screaming at it.

---
From the "liberals are grasping at straws" department - Online headline: "New 3rd-party 2016 hopeful becomes official nominee * The Libertarian Party formally selected its nominee for president this weekend, and many signs suggest he could have a significant impact on Election Day. * Candidate who could rock the race" -- Good grief.. it's Gary Johnsomn.. the same guy who was the Libertarian Party candidate in 2012.. and who garnered  .99 of 1 percent of the vote..

---
Online headline: "USWNT star Sydney Leroux is using Donald Trump toilet paper" -- Good grief.. no story here... just another lib wanting men in her bathroom..

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Why banning Kenya from Rio presents an Olympian dilemma" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought the ZERO-bama had threatened to pull the US family members could not compete because on "anti-doping"  sanctions.. Of course, the Rio Olympics have already shown the "anti-dope" policy doesn't apply to ZERO-bama.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "We’re Still Holding Out Hope For An LGBT Superhero On The Big Screen *  Twitter was abuzz May 24 when a hashtag asking Marvel Comics to give Captain America a boyfriend began trending. * "We hope that we can demonstrate to the studios that there is a huge audience for accurate LGBT portrayal on the big screen,” Shape History’s Mike Buonaiuto, who directed the trailer, told The Huffington Post in an email, “and it won’t deter cinema goers to buy tickets.” -- "won't deter cinema goers to buy tickets"?  Good grief.. maybe to 2% of the population, but what it will inspire is for parents to destroy existing Captain America clothing/paraphernalia they have already bought for their children, and put 1,000s out of jobs making such.

---
WRBL-3 story: "A Harris County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after being shot in the head Saturday evening. Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley tells News 3 Deputy Jamie White was shot just above the left eye during a traffic stop around 7:30 p.m. The deputy stopped an armed driver for speeding around Mile Marker 33 on I-185. * According to Harris County officials, after Garrett handed over his driver’s license, he pulled a pistol out and shot Deputy White above the left eye while he was having about 7-minute conversation with the front seat passenger.  Officials say after the deputy was shot, Garrett got out of the car, picked up his driver’s license and drove off from the crime scene. *  Harris County officials tell News 3 Garrett admitted to shooting the deputy during the traffic stop".

Garrett currently faces the following charges:

Aggravated assault on a police officer
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Obstruction (Felony)
Possession of a firearm during a felony
Fleeing and attempting to elude.

-- Hmmm.. a previously convicted felon.. probably out before his sentence term, using an illegally possessed gun committing a violent felony..AUTOMATIC DEATH PENALTY..

---
L-E headline: "Sheriff says deputy in fair condition after being shot in head" -- Hmmm.. pictures of Sheriff Jolley, and the (_*_) who bushwhacked Deputy Jamie White... but no picture of Deputy White.. hey, L-E.. how about the WHOLE truth!

---

"Get's it.. almost" L-E "soundoff": " The article which gave a detailed description of an indigent woman who has continued to drive and accumulate tickets without a license pointed out everything but her responsibility to take action for her crimes." -- It also points out why political correctness is a disease that rots the core of our legal system.. No one should be allowed to remain free for repeating irresponsible acts because they know a public servant doing the right thing will be excoriated by mainscream media. Repeated driving offenders.. like repeating DUI offenders should not only have their licenses confiscated, but also their car (whether it is theirs or one borrowed from a family member/friend). This will promote personal responsibility.

Online story: " Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday warned Romania and Poland they could find themselves in the sights of Russian rockets because they are hosting elements of a U.S. missile shield that Moscow considers a threat to its security." -- Good grief... Putin's "threat" ionly has merit to Romania and Poland because Putin know's Romania and Poland know that they cannot depend on ZERO-bama's word to be their ally.

---
From the "interesting things I run across researching other things" department.. 46 of our states have a "home ownership" ratio of over 60%... 4 states do not.. those 4 states are Hawaii, California, Nevada, and  New York. 3 of those states haven't voted for a Republican President since 1988 (or longer).

---
Online headline/story: "Lindsey Graham on the Republican Party after Trump: 'We either get smarter or die' *  Sen. Lindsey Graham characterized the crisis facing the Republican Party in grim terms Friday, saying the party needs to adapt or die after the 2016 presidential election." -- "get smarter...adapt or die"? You know, I agree.. but it's not with Graham's "feelings".. the Republican Party does need to "adapt"... to conservatism and what the voters are telling them they like about Trump, or it will keep the slow death perpetrated by RINO-ism of Lindsey Graham and his "buddies"... South Carolina could do us all a favor and make sure Graham is not "sent back to Washington" in 2020.

---
From the "media bias? what media bias?" department - Online headline: "Trump's San Diego rally draws more than 1,000 chanting protesters" -- Hmmm now try to find the number of the umpteenth 1,000s of Trump supporters INSIDE the Sand Diego Convention Center.. What's happening is the Democrats are actually creating short term part time jobs for it's voters because the writing is on the wall that Hillary will not win in November.  I'm still looking for a "coup" at the DNC convention and Biden on the ballot.. which is way too little too late.

---
Online headline: "Nathan Deal on why Georgia challenged the federal transgender directive" -- Good grief.. why does any politician have to explain why he's "doing the right thing"? Well, in Deal's case, it may be because he's done the opposite in recent decisions.

---
L-E headline: "While in Japan, Obama calls on the world to evolve" -- First ZERO-bama wanted to "transform" America, now he wants the world to "evolve".. Good grief.. doesn't this guy ever look at the a mirror and see that the world, much less America, "revolves" around him?

---
ELIV's (EXTRA Low Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": "   NY Court of Appeals justices should be indicted for squashing the $1.4 billion verdict against Bank of America. BOA paid huge bonuses for signing up unqualified homeowners, then bundled the “toxic” paper to foreign countries." -- Good grief.. if there is any blame to be spread around, it's at the Democratic Party,, start with Carter, then pile it on Clinton, Barnie Frank, and Chris Dodd.. those re the ones that threatened banks/mortgage brokerage houses with legal threats if any applicants, especially minority,  were scrutinized for credit worthiness.

---
L-E story: "Surveillance video shows T**** C. Y**** and T***** R***** McF***** standing alongside Xzavaien Jo**** on March 26 as he gunned down a man at Peachtree Mall in March, according to testimony Friday in Columbus Recorder’s Court. * Y****, J****’ 23-year-old sister, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Anthony Meredith, who police said was shot in retaliation for the death of an OG Crip gang member who was killed in November." -- Hmmm.. say.. how many times has Mayor TomLYINGson denied the existence of "gangs" and "gang violence" in our city?

Tell you what... I wish the world leaders feared ZERO-bama as much as ZERO-bama fears Trump.

---
You know..when Democrat protesters get louder, more violent, at Trump Rallies, it's basically caused by the internal Democrat polls out showing Hillary losing.

---
Online headline: "Obama calls for nuclear-free world in historic act" -- Good grief.. "Hail to the Chief" should be changed to "Send in the Clowns". Guess ZERO-bama will sign an Executive Order to put all our nuclear stock at GITMO so his ally Castro can make sure it doesn't end up in the wrong hands.

---
You know.. next ZERO-bama will just ask that the world just stop keeping score of atrocities, holocausts, and genocides... abortions/infanticides. too.. That way he can claim no one loses..

---
What ZERO-bama will not state is how many lives were saved by eliminating Japan from WWII, and how many wars have been averted when we had a president that 3rd World dictators worried that might annihilate them?

---
Online headline: "Couric slammed for 'deceptive' anti-gun documentary" -- "deceptive' anti-gun documentary"?.. Oh, so LYING about the truth is now just "deceptive"? Guess that makes Hillary a "Decepticon"..

---
The EgyptAir plane that exploded over the Mediterranean Sea brings up an issue that has been ignored..  It seems to me that since there are multiple recording devices (black boxes) on each plane. one such device could be designed to "eject" itself if  an exlposion, even a dramatic disruption occurs in flight. The device would have a parachute (and flotation collar if flying over water) as well as a transmitter. In fact, devices could be set to auto-upload to "the cloud" when =ever data is recordered to such devices.

---
Online headline/story: "MSNBC host grills Clinton on scathing email report * Anchor Chuck Todd aggressively questioned the 2016 candidate Thursday on the State Department investigation into her personal email server. * MSNBC's Chuck Todd grilled Hillary Clinton over the scathing inspector general's report released on Wednesday that determined she "did not comply" with State Department rules in using a personal email address to conduct government business. * The report "seemed to contradict many of the things you've said about the emails," Todd said, before asking Clinton if she accepts everything the report said as fact." -- Hmmm.. "grilled Hillary Clinton"?  Well. at least mainscream media are using her last name rather than just "Hillary".. Of course, the claim of grilling her is a partial truth (the worst kind) since Todd only did so with tougher questions... he stopped short od=f grilling her own her answers. Well.. it is a start...

---

Online headline: "House Republicans scuttle spending bill over LGBT provision" -- Excuse me.. two questions.. how does an "item" get into the voting version of a House bill without the Speaker's knowledge, and secondly,, how come people who have a problem accepting  the way God created them get special treatment/conditions versus us who have accepted God's gift and plan for us?

---
From the "seems we have a communication problem" department --   Online headline/story: "More than 40 Secret Service staff disciplined in data flap * Forty-one Secret Service employees found to have reviewed private agency records involving a U.S. congressman have been disciplined, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday. *  Representative Jason Chaffetz is a Utah Republican and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee." -- "data flap"? How about abuse of office.. the President's office at that, to try to waylay/destroy  an American citizen? Fortunately.. for America's future, ZERO-bama picked the wrong man to go after... unfortunately, not one of the 41 were fired.. guaranteeing that other Secret Service agents will do the same biding of ZERO-bama's staff if ordered to do so. We need TRUMP!

---
"Black Lives Matter"? "Blue Lives Matter"? "White Lives Matter"? How about "Common Sense Matters"?

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD * The Frank Myers factor: What’s at stake in runoffs" -- The "Frank Myers Factor"? This is not about "Frank Myers"... it's about returning focus on the children and the taxpayers and the community in general.. Columbus.. including "Frank Myers" will only benefit if the MCSB regains control of how the Superintendent's job returns to producing better educated students than is currently happening., and making sure the taxpayers are getting their money's worth. But, without Frank Myer's dedication, we'd still be sinking in mediocrity.

---
L-E headline: "Trump sews up delegates to seal GOP nomination" -- Game ON!!!

---
L-E story: "It wasn’t that off the cuff during a recent State of Economic Development luncheon when Bill Murphy took a slight poke at a forecast earlier this year by the University of Georgia’s Selig Center for Economic Development that Columbus would lose 1,000 jobs in 2016." -- Word's out.. Mayor TomLYINGson's wasteful spending and tax assault on homeowners has spread. sorta like "letting the demonCAT --uh.. Democrat...out of the  bag"..

---
L-E headline: "Two more suspects charged in Peachtree Mall shooting" --  Hmm... this is surely gonna make the new kid on the block,  "At Home" feel right "at home".... NOT!

----
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " A GQ photo shows (then) model Melania Trump posing in skimpy thong and boots, pointing a gun. Remember when Republicans complained about Michelle Obama's bare arms? -- Republicans complained of Michelle's "bare arms"? The real complaint was her being "bare" of "arms" and wanting law abiding citizens to be removedfrom the Constitutional right to own them..

---

From the L-E's "Today in History feature", we learn that the Golden Gate  bridge opened for "pedestrian traffic" today, and that vehicles were allowed to cross it the next day... hmmm..just typical Democrats in the White House/government lack of concern for individuals...foot/pedestrian traffic puts more pounds per square foot on construction than a vehicle, so the Democrat-led government figured that if the bridge didn't collapse under the weight of pedestrians, then vehicles could cross it safely.

---
From the "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot" department: Seems like architects have decided they can appease "green" people with a few dob[nations and some cosmetic greenery.. Two pictures.. one is a pic of two buildings trying to look like an ordinary tree, and the other is a cellphone tower trying to be a tree.. the cellphone tower is less than a mile from my home.

Online headline: "Trump abruptly fires his national campaign director * The GOP candidate terminated Rick Wiley after just six weeks on the job when he found out about the role Wiley played in a recent major fundraising flub." -- Yes! We need Trump handling the IRS, VA, DOJ and TSA "flubs"!

---
How about this as a radical strategy for improving the TSA screening problems... I suggest that only honorably discharged military personnel be eligible to be hired. They are patriots, well trained observers, and really understand the disappointments and frustrations of flight delays having had to get connections for well deserved R&R opportunities.

---
Why are those Trump Rally nrioters described as "anti-Trump protesters"? Let's face it, they are criminals once they throw a lunch, stone, or bottle, and they represent they failed programs of the Democratic Party.

---
Online story: "Chris Kyle, the U.S. Navy SEAL profiled in the movie "American Sniper," embellished his military record, according to documents uncovered by The Intercept on Wednesday. * Kyle (pictured on the left above) is considered the deadliest sniper in American history, and according to his autobiography he claimed to have been awarded two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars for valor. In actuality, he received on Silver Star and three Bronze Stars with Valor. * "It takes away from the legitimate heroism he showed," said a retired SEAL reported The Intercept." -- "takes away from the legitimate heroism"? Not in my book! If there's an important number to count, it's the number of American soldiers that are alive today because Chris Kyle, not some (_*_) like Bergdahl that ZERO-bama patted on the back, had their backs.

---
Online headline/story: "Check out the $5 Million mansion the first family will call home after Obama's presidency ends *  The home is located in the upscale Washington, D.C., neighborhood of Kalorama, and has plenty of space. *  The $5 million mansion is owned by Bill Clinton's former Press Secretary Joe Lockhart and his wife, a magazine executive. *  The Obamas will lease, but not purchase the house." -- "lease"? Good grief.. we taxpayers are going to get hit with major bucks to fortress-ize a leased house.. If you or I were "leasing", either the landlord would make the necessary improvements and jack-up the rent accordingly, or as tenets, we'd pay for the upgrades which become the property of the owner.. This sucks!

---
Online headline: "One fatality, three injured in multiple shooting at T.I.'s NYC concert" -- Yeah.. "Black Lives Matter"... but obviously not too much to each other...

---
Online headline: "Pro-life Republican's wife opens up about her abortion" -- Good grief.. when will Republicans learn this is not a legislative issue.. it's an issue between women and their spouses with God.. It's the relationship with God that matters, and His grace and mercy will be the final word.

---
Looks like Hillary is toast...the State Department has chastised Hillary for her e-mail issues and accused her of being uncooperative. It indicates that the upper Democrat policy makers have deemed her to be unelectable in November, and want to be able to draft Biden at the convention.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Clinton’s inexcusable, willful disregard for the rules" -- When the HuffPOOPOO turns its back on Hillary.. you know it is with the DNC's support, and Biden is lurking.....

Here it is: " http://video.foxnews.com/v/4902330548001/ultimate-trick-shot-golfer-chips-marshmallow-into-own-mouth/?intcmp=obnetwork#sp=show-clips " -- This is the video of Jordan Spieth's "marshmallow " shot at the Byron Nelson I mentioned last weekend.

---
You know, our Chamber of Commerce would probably be better off, and have an easier job of "selling" Columbus, if it returned the annual $1,000,000+ "gift" from the City ...if the City would use it to clean up barbed and razor wire fenced businesses that line several of our major thoroughfares... that and improving our schools' education image.

---
You know, having runoffs for the school board seats is exciting. Voters will turn out based on their commitment to a better education for our children versus organizations working to keep the status quo. Of particular good cheer is that none of the wannabe-returned-to-the-board candidates mustered support from the majority of their district's voters..

---

Did you see the local story: Free Summer Meals"? There are no free meals.. we are paying not only for the food, but to keep non-professional school staff on the payroll.

---
Why... WHY are thugs with arm-length rap sheets that kill people while committing a violent crime given anything other than the death penalty?

---
You know.. Bernie has "berned" through some $200,000,000.00 in the one year he's been campaigning,... very little..probably none of it his..in a way, he's the only honest Democrat of my lifetime.. he campaigns on spending other people's money by spending other people's money.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today, “I am never afraid of what I know.” — Anna Sewell, English author (1820-1878)." -- Hmmm.. Ms Sewell would be shaking in her boots knowing Hillary or Bernie could become the commander-in-chief of America..

---
L-E headline: "Environmental testing begins at historic Claflin site" -- Two questions: 1 - Who is providing the money for this aspect, and 2 - where can donations be made?

In GA's 3rd Congressional District Republican primary, there will be a runoff between Mike Crane and Drew Ferguson. Two really good choices, but I still support the frontrunner Mike Crane..

Senator Elizabeth Warren..a.k.a. "Pocahontas", says Donald Trump should be excoriated for buying failed properties at bottom prices, refurbishing them and making a profit.. Huh? What wou;d she suggest.. that successful business people ignore opportunities to make money, put abandoned properties back in use, and creating jobs for people to bring those facilities back to useable condition? Oh,, what "Pocahontas" doesn't mention is that she and her husband have bought distressed properties at rock bottom prices, updated them and "flipped" them for a profit...

Online story: "The agency, under fire for long lines at airport checkpoints, security miscues, high turnover rates, retaliation against whistle blowers and lack of accountability for senior staff, has terminated one executive in the past five years, according to data provided to NBC News by the federal Office of Personnel Management. * By comparison, 6,889 employees who worked under those executives were fired during that time. * That discrepancy became particularly relevant this week, after TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger announced that he had reassigned the agency's head of security, Kelly Hoggan. * Hoggan had become a public face for the security lines crisis — and for deeper problems in the agency. The House Oversight Committee last month questioned a $90,000 bonus he received in small, hard-to-track payments even as he oversaw what the panel called "significant security vulnerabilities."" --  " reassigned the agency's head of security, Kelly Hoggan"? "REASSIGNED"! Good grief.. he should have been publicly excoriated! What I really want to know is, "Who the heck authorized and signed the monthly bonus/awards checks to Hoggan? He/she and anyone working in the same office should be fired and named defendants in a class action law suit by everyone who missed a flight because of TSA screenings.

---
Online story: "Donald Trump has highlighted his credentials as an outsider throughout his 2016 campaign, but six-in-ten American voters say they're unsure about his lack of military or government experience, a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll shows." -- "unsure about his lack of military or government experience"? -- Good grief.. anyone who's mega-successful in a legal business has had as much an education in how government "works", and is in better position to help government make changes that will actually help other businesses grow. .. and as for concerns about his military experience.. who'd be better .. a person who actually loves our military and ots vets, or a tandem of politicians that have a proven and documented record of "loathing" tour military?

---
Now that its for sure that there was an explosion on board of the downed EgyptAir flight, has anyone heard ZERO-bama or Hillary utter the words, "Islamic terrorism"?

Online story: "A little-known fast-food chain run by two former Costco executives is about to launch a rapid expansion, thanks to an investment from Costco's founder. * The Organic Coup, which is the first USDA-certified organic fast-food chain in the US, just raised $7 million in an initial round of financing led by Costco founder and former CEO Jim Sinegal. *  The chain, which specializes in fried-chicken sandwiches and chocolate-drizzled caramel popcorn, currently has two restaurants — one in San Francisco and one in Pleasanton, California * The restaurant's specialty is its spicy fried chicken made from organic, air-chilled chicken breasts fried in coconut oil." *  "It's the most expensive oil we could have chosen, but it has good plant-based fats, no cholesterol, and it's high in Vitamin A," Welton said." --  Whoa.. put your checkbooks back in your pocket.. selling organic, coconut oil fried chicken in California is one thing.. selling such in the South is another issue in itself.. besides, who's going to buy organically sweetened ice tea and organically seasoned collard greens? And what about organically sweetened cornbread.....

---
Online headline/story: "Ohio students told not to sing the Lord's Prayer at graduation had this bold response *  the prayer has been included in East Liverpool (Ohio) High School's commencement for seven decades. But that tradition looked like it was going to come to an end this year after the Freedom From Religion Foundation told the school to remove the prayer from the program because it violates the separation of church and state. * "We said, 'OK, we just won't do it anymore,'" school board President Larry Walton told WTOV. "It was a decision made because we don't have a lot of money, and we'd rather hire teachers than pay lawyers." -- "We said, 'OK, we just won't do it anymore...we'd rather hire teachers to pay lawyers"? Good grief.. and what's this (_*_)  "teaching" about the 1st Amendment? Like Paul Harvey might add, "the rest of the story" is that the valedictorian, Jonathan Montgomery. came onstage to speak Sunday, he led his fellow students in reciting the prayer. Afterward, the audience gave the grads a standing ovation. Oh, and this brings up another issue.. the one in North Carolina where they want to eliminate naming a valedictorian at all!

Online headline: "Navy veteran switched from GOP to Dems to show his 'hate for Donald Trump'" -- Hmmm just another victim of the ZERO-bama and the Democrat administration's Veterans' Hospital scandal... obviously, this sole vet needs mental help... FAST!

---
You know.. it must be a real frustrating thing for some scientists and agnostics/atheists... to explain "life". that is...in the scheme of things, Neanderthals knew as much as modern man as how to create "man" from scratch...

---
Online headline: "JOHN KASICH: It's going to be 'really hard' to endorse Donald Trump" - Good grief.. I reckon so... he'd have been a shoo-in if he'd run against Hillary and Bernie in the Democrat primaries.

---
Where is the RNC/GOP? The RNC/GOP should be out discrediting Bush and Kasich (and any other former candidate) for not honoring their pledges to support the Party candidate.

---
Online headline/story: "Albuquerque cops injured as anti-Trump protests turn violent *  Protesters burned pro-Trump flags and signs and threw rocks and bottles during a brief but tense confrontation outside the Albuquerque Convention Center after Trump was finished speaking, and again later as police tried to move crowds out of the area." -- Seriously.. do you want a president.. in fact  any politician who will reward violence like this by promising more entitlement programs, or president who will arrest those responsible.. for endangering the lives of working police officers and citizens going about their work schedule?

---
Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Bob McDonald's Disney line wait comparison was horrible. Disney patrons paid a fee to be there, our veterans "paid a price"!

---
Hmmm... it appears Marshal Countryman will return to office.. now, who's going to arrest him for misuse of taxpayer funds for charging his legal fees to a CCG credit card?

---
L-E headline: "Columbus Council finalizes FY2017 budget" -- Surely there is a law saying that Council cannot authorize a new budget that can only be balanced by using money from the "fund balance". That money needs to be there when emergency situations arise, not because of some project whim.

---
L-E headline/story: "GOP governors ask FCC to address illegal prison cellphones * Ten Republican governors want the Federal Communications Commission to give states more autonomy to apply technology that can stop prison inmates from using smuggled cellphones." -- Good grief.. who's running the prison search staff.. the TSA? Theoretically, not even prison staff members need a cellphone while on duty.. they have access to an internal radio communication system, so all cellphones.. whether owned staff, visitors, or lawyers, should be held at the check-in gate, and returned only when they leave the grounds.

Of all the local races that ended with disappointment was the unseating of Superior Court Clerk, Linda Pierce. Unfortunately, she did not recognize that she's a pariah in the Democrat Party because she's locked horns with Mayor TomLYINGson, and had no chance in the Democratic Party primary. She should have declared herself an Independent or Republican and have had the election settled in the November General Election..

---
All is not lost for big changes on the MCSB.. there was one outright win for change (Vanessa Jackson), and  there are 2 "for sure" runoffs in other district races, and possibly in all 3 of them.. real change in the direction.. upward change... is looking good for the next school year!  Way to go Columbus taxpayers and parents interested in their children's education!

L-E headline/story: "American flag to fly in Broadway median beginning on Sunday *  You have probably noticed the large flag pole that has been erected in the Broadway median on the south end of the 1100 block. *   Right now, it’s just a pole, but starting Sunday night when the 8-by-12-foot American flag is raised for the first time, you won’t be able to miss it. *  The flag is a project funded by Big Dog Running Co., the Run Across Georgia and Uptown Columbus , Inc. No public funds were used in the project, which cost about $7,500 including donated materials and work hours. *  Teeples, Columbus builder and co-owner of Big Dog, is excited about the new flag being raised this weekend. *   “This is something we really wanted to do,” he said. *   “This is Columbus and Fort Benning. It is appropriate to have a large flag flying here.” -- Atta boy, John Teeples! Say,, I remember that CB&T always had a flag flying on top of it's Broadway building... is this no longer true? Why?

Online story: ".The head of security for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration has been removed from his position, according to an internal TSA memo on Monday seen by Reuters, after the agency was criticized for long lines at airport security checkpoints. *  Long security lines at U.S. airports this spring have frustrated travelers and caused thousands of passengers to miss flights. TSA has blamed the problem on a lack of security screeners and an increase in passenger volumes. *  Earlier this month, TSA said it would add screeners at the country's busiest airports." -- TSA agents could be doubled, and it will not help the situation.. if you multiply inefficiency by 2, you get twice the problems. The problems are about not improving methodology.. no private business can grow if employee efficiency level doesn't improve directly with experience.

---
Online story: "Virginia's Democratic governor, Terry McAuliffe, is under investigation by the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department over campaign fundraising, CNN reported on Monday, citing U.S. officials briefed on the probe. * McAuliffe was co-chairman of Clinton's 1996 re-election campaign and chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential bid. * The investigation is focusing, at least in part, on whether contributions to McAuliffe's 2013 gubernatorial campaign, including $120,000 from a Chinese businessman, Wang Wenliang, violated the law, according to CNN." -- Wait a minute.. CNN is reporting on something like this... and about someone who's attached to the hips of both Clintons?  Biden is waiting in the wings!

---
Online headline/story: "Scientists: Michelle Obama's nutrition facts label not based on science * Researchers say the first lady's latest proposal, which will cost companies at least $640 million to comply with, is not based on sound science.* “I am thrilled that the FDA has finalized a new and improved Nutrition Facts label that will be on food products nationwide,” Mrs. Obama said in a statement. “This is going to make a real difference in providing families across the country the information they need to make healthy choices.”" --"provide families... the information they need to make healthy choices" ? Good grief.. how can families of the future benefit if they are not taught how to read under the Common CRAP curriculum?  Besides, if American families were really overly concerned about food health issues, fast food restaurants and 5-Star restaurants would go completely  out of business.

Ironic isn't it... that Hillary's and Michelle's one big issue as First Ladies share a health issue, and both are flops.

---
From the "talk about ironic" department: - Online headline/story: "Planned Parenthood Sued Over Colorado Clinic Shooting *  The wife of Ke’ Arere Stewart, who was killed, and Samantha Wagner, who suffered a gunshot wound to her arm, accuse the clinic of being liable, negligent and of outrageous conduct in the suit filed on Friday in Denver District Court.

Stewart is suing for the wrongful death of her husband, and Wagner, who sustained a shattered and severed humerus bone, is asking for monetary damages to cover her medical bills and “permanent physical impairment.” * “It provided no signs, posters, verbal or any other type of warning describing the risk of physical harm, injury or death associated with entering (Planned Parenthood) properties.”" --  "no signs, posters, verbal or any other type of warning describing the risk of physical harm, injury or death associated with entering (Planned Parenthood) properties"? -- Good grief.. the fact that the clinic had a "Planned Parenthood" sign on the building shouts out that it is a house of death!

---
Online headline/story: "Parents are stunned after hearing a girl had sex with as many as 25 boys in school bathroom * Police have been notified of a bathroom incident that was supposedly recorded and distributed on Snapchat in which a 15-year-old girl had sex with multiple male students after school — and it could have been as many as 25. * The girl has admitted to having sex with multiple guys." -- Now we see why the Democrats want boys to be able to go into the girls bathrooms at public schools.... probably Democratic Party pre-election registration event to sign up 25 boys to become  Democrat voters in November..

---
Online story: "Back in 2013, a 16-year-old girl was viciously attacked and stabbed in a Target store in Pennsylvania. One shopper tackled the  man, grabbed a baseball bat and chased away the attacker which saved the girls life. * Michael Turner has been heralded a hero. But, Target disagrees. In fact, the retail giant is actually suing HIM for endangering their customers! What in the hell is wrong with these idiots?" -- Hmmm... I think I'll see if I can get a baseball bat kiosk near Target's bathrooms and rent them to women who want to use the bathrooms.. They'll be good for safety ..   Between this lawsuit, and recent bathroom issue decisions, I'd say Target has "struck out".

Online story: "Former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin has endorsed both Barksdale and his hat, which he’s attempting to turn into a signature symbol of his campaign" -- Hmmm..she endorsed both Barksdale and his cap...wonder in which order.

---
Online story: "President Obama lifted the decades-long U.S. arms embargo against Vietnam on Monday in an apparent effort to shore up the communist country's defenses against an increasingly aggressive China" --
So ZERO-bama feels Vietnam needs guns to defend itself from aggressive government actions, yet doesn't feel American citizens deserve the same?

---
Online story: "Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald on Monday compared the length of time veterans wait to receive health care at the VA to the length of time people wait for rides at Disneyland, and said his agency shouldn't use wait times as a measure of success because Disney doesn't either." -- Good grief.. other than Disney IS concerned.. and DOES monitor the in-line-waiting-periods of it's customers, Bob McDonald's comparison reflects his attitude, which, in my book, is... drum roll please .. pretty damn "Mickey Mouse"!

Oh.. and there's one other major difference.. Disney's customers are there because they paid a fee.. and our vets are there because they "paid a price".

Kim Jong Un says he doesn't want to meet with Trump...guess he figures Trump won't give him things like Slick Willie or Rodman.

---
Online headline: "A North Carolina school board has voted to drop valedictorians for creating what they argue is unhealthy competition among students." -- Good grief! Talk about dumbing down the educational process.. Competition .. especially  in classrooms versus athletic fields, is exactly what students need .. Universities scour the country to find students that seek to excel and recruit them specifically on their success in the classrooms.. What's really going on is a school system.. and ours is headed that way, that wants everyone to be equally illiterate so no one's feelings are hurt.  Vote for TRUMP!

Did you see the video of a vehicle going straight through a "roundabout" in Romania,  and literally "fly" through the air? They suspect the driver has fallen asleep or was inebriated and did not slow down. Now, imagine a logging truck barreling down River Road with a distracted driver and plowing through the proposed "roundabout" at the Bradley Park Drive intersection. Cars would look like pachinko balls bouncing arouns looking for a place to stop.

Went to the funeral of Neal Wickham yesterday. Neal was the guiding force in bringing the Pine Mountain Trail to light and fruition. I was getting dressed beforehand when I thought about the forest being Neal's true sanctuary..I kicked off my Weejuns, and put my tie, white shirt and navy blazer back in the closet and pulled out my khakis, hiking boots, and plaid shirt. I wanted Neal to be able to spot me quickly in the sea of neckties. Enjoy your perfect hiking weather, Neal.

---
Online headline: "Baltimore police officer acquitted in Freddie Gray death" -- Yes.. justice has been served in a court of law despite mainscream media trying to condemn and convict police officers in its public kangaroo court. There's one other aspect that's not going to be discussed in mainscream media because it would be "politically incorrect".. but if Officer Nero had been convicted of any of the charges, no Baltimore police officer would ever again get out of his/her patrol car to investigate a situation.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "So Hillary wants to put Bill in charge of the economy. What a great idea. The last president to have a balanced budget, a thriving economy and people working" -- Hmmm.. if Hillary wants to put the man in charge who last balanced the budget, she better tap Newt Gingrich.. Of course, by saying she thinks Bill is a better choice than herself at running the economy, Hillary has just cut the legs out from under every woman who has hopes of climbing the corporate ladder of success.  Hillary basically said women are not as capable as a man to be the CEO of anything.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today, “Responsibility educates.” — Wendell Phillips, American abolitionist (1811-1884)." -- Good grief.. with social promotions/graduations and entitlement versus pay checks being the platform of the Democratic Party, is there any wonder what the agenda of public education has become?

---
From the "talk about good..and .. bad..timing" department - L-E headline/story: "Big-box retailer At Home appears headed for Peachtree" * Construction work has yet to start on the 86,274-square-foot space left vacant since February 2006 after Charlotte, N.C.-based retailer Belk purchased the 40-store Parisian chain, rebranding some locations to Belk and closing a dozen others, including the one in Columbus. Belk turned around and sold the vacant Columbus space about a year later to Little Rock, Ark.-based Dillard’s for $4.4 million. Dillard’s sat on the property located front and center at the mall until selling it to General Growth Properties just before Thanksgiving last year for $2 million, according to city real-estate filings." -- You know, for Dillard's to bailout with a $2.4 MILLION dollar loss indicates that Dillard's recognizes a "sinking ship", at "At Home" has just bought in at the bubble collapse.

---
The L-E stock may become a "buy" soon.. what. with "Together 2016" buying ads almost every day, the L-E's bottom line must be getting pretty healthy.. Of course, if {Together 2016" says it is  looking for a project to spend money on and it looks like the L-E is that project.

---

We definitely need to replace the current school board members and get people on there who will take action to renew the information flow from the MCSD Superintendent and the Board/taxpayers. Remember Tony Adams... former head of the City's Parks & Rec Department.. the one who illegally set up a "city" checking account to run Nike funds into to run that "Blazers" basketball program? Well, if he'd been running such a program illegally under the protection of the MCSD, he'd still be employed because no information would have been given to the school board, and no audits would be run. Oust all the incimbernts! Depending on your district, vote for Shelia (not Cathy) Williams, Pete Taylor, Vanessa Jackson, and JoAnn Thomas Brown.

Online headline/story: "Hillary Clinton slams 'dangerous' Trump proposal * "Unlike Donald Trump, I will not pander to the gun lobby," Clinton said" -- Hmmm.. first, isn't it "pandering" to guns to be anti-death sentence for violent crimes? Secondly, wasn't using her own personal server a whole lot more dangerous to this country than law abiding citizens being protected by the 2nd Amendment?

---
Don't you think ZERO-bama's message of racial divide has been over the top? Well, as I was listening to the video speech by Hillary at the Trayvon Martin Foundation's Circle of Mothers dinner, Hillary must have been trained as a professional race card dealer.

---
Online headline: "Islamic State calls for attacks on the West during Ramadan in audio message" -- Hmmm.. sorta sounds like ISIS has adopted the same war strategy as ZERO-bama... announce ahead of time what your military plans are..coincidence?

---
Online headline: "Another political model has predicted Hillary Clinton will beat Donald Trump in November." -- Oooops.. thought being a cover girl on Vanity Fair has made Cait a political model.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Seagull Steals Potato Chips From Coffee Shop Like It’s Their Right" -- Hmmm and what is the difference from Democrat voters voting for more "free" government stuff?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Zookeepers in Chile Kill 2 Lions To Save 'Suicidal' Man Who Entered Enclosure" -- Rumor has it Hillary called for a ban on guns for Zookeepers worldwide.

Online story: "Mourad Laachraoui, the brother of one of the Brussels airport suicide bombers, keeps enhancing his Olympic taekwondo prospects after winning his third gold medal this year. *  Laachraoui was a younger brother of Najim Laachraoui, who blew himself up in Brussels in March and whose DNA was also found on the suicide vests of two men in the Paris attacks. " -- Hmm.. Brazil had better check his jock strap as well as his shoes for a bomb.

Online story: "Visitors at Yale University's 315th commencement will notice something new on campus this year — gender-neutral bathrooms in 23 buildings. * The school is promoting them on its website for Monday's commencement, complete with a link to a map showing where they can be found. * It is one of several changes made in the past school year designed to make the university friendlier to transgender students, staff and visitors, school officials said." -- Let's parse some numbers.. Yale has about 5,400 undergraduate students, 6,900 graduate and professional students, 4,500 International students and scholars, and 4,400 faculty members.  That's about 21,200 people.. The high end of estimates for gender confused and alternative lifestyle people is believed to be 3,.8%.. which means Yale might have 800  such deviants on campus.. that means Yale is telling 20,400 people they have to be tolerant of having perverts walking into the bathroom of their whim whenever they want to do so.  Two things jump out at us.. one is that parents are paying for the overhaul of the bathrooms when they pay for their normal students tuition..and secondly.. why are their so many (over 4,400) faculty members on campus ..

---
What has ZERO-bama done to our world-wide sense of pride and honor? We use to command respect in all aspects of our lives, but now even foreigners are dissing us in golf.. Irish golfer Rory McIlroy wore collarless shirts to the Masters and the TPC at Sawgrass, but is wearing a traditional collared  golf shirt to play in the Irish Open.

You know, the TSA is not very efficient..even by government standards..after so many years in existence, the TSA should be able to handle crowds today that are even bigger than they use to be.

L-E headline: "Here’s how two schools got off the state’s failing list * Georgetown, Rigdon Road elementary schools improved CCRPI scores by double digits" -- Excuse me.. these.. and eight other schools did not get on the "failing schools" list in one year. Let's hold off on the overreaction until next year when the next CCRPI results are published before claiming these two schools have been "cured".

---
How can anyone on the MCSB.. especially Pat Hugely Green be satisfied with the overall MCSD CCRPI score average of 66.2 when the GA average is 76.0?

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Two-thirds of our school board are correct — they can’t allow some trouble-making snoop to “stumble” across info they want kept secret, like financial mismanagement and incompetence." -- If there is no financial mismanagement and incompetence. then a forensic audit would be very reassuring to the Board and administration... and especially the taxpayers.  Why, then, are there objections to such by Board members?

---
What's happened to drug research? Greed has happened.. When was the last time you heard of a new antibiotic being developed to knock out a super-bug infection? When has a cure for anything announced this century? What we see now is companies developing treatment drugs that people will take for extended tome periods..perhaps for life and always with annual price hikes.

Donald Trump has to be Hillary's hero... mainscream media and Fox News will have him to excoriate  every day instead of examining  Hillary's scandals and flawed solutions she promises..

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Elizabeth Warren claps back at Donald Trump: Voters 'are smarter than you think' " -- Yes!.. and smart voters will not listen to the promises of Democrats... Go TRUMP!

---
You know.. minimum wage is not the issue that's holding back the economy... government driven inflation caused by wasteful spending and overprinting of money are the culprits.

---
Once again.. Trump beat the other Republicans and will beat Hillary because Trump, like Reagan, has faith in America.. Trump thinks positive about America's and each individual's future, and Hillary campaigns on the platform of knowing  better  how to control our lives.

---
From the "no matter how hard they twist it, liberals cannot get anyone to believe it" department - Online story: "Donald Trump scored the coveted endorsement of the National Rifle Association last week — an endorsement that means tapping into the group's almost 5 million members. * But Politico says not everyone in the NRA is sold on the presumptive GOP nominee. On Saturday, several members questioned the NRA's board over the endorsement, and at least one says he's ending his membership over it." -- Hmmm. he must be the ONE who was wearing a Hillary shirt, because  no one else in the NRA is f=going to vote for anyone assaulting the 2nd Amendment. I'm not a member of the NRA, but support gun ownership by law abiding citizens as guaranteed by our ... OUR... 2nd Amendment.

---
Online story: "Hillary Clinton responded Sunday to Mark Cuban's suggestion that he'd be open to serving as her running mate, and she seemed more than open to the idea. * "I think we should look widely and broadly," She told Chuck Todd on NBC's "Meet the Press." "It's not just people in elective office. It is successful businesspeople. I am very interested in that. And I appreciate his openness to it." -- Yeah.. Hillary IS interested in successful business people.. especially those that can... will pay her $250K speaking fees, donate to her Foundations, and have plenty left for redistributing to the the people who will vote for her.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "It’s too bad we are such a poor country that we can’t have a better health care system like rich Canada." -- Good grief.. as low as our students are scoring on standardized testing, they are brilliant compared to this "soundoff" writer...On the positive side, we won't have to build a wall on the Canadian border after Trump wins.. Canada will build one just to keep out the libs who have already said they will flee America if Trump wins.

---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Sometimes you have to be silent in order to be heard.” — Swiss proverb - Hmmm. sorta the inspiration of the Silent Majority that elect Trump in November..

---
You know, this is a year ..because the MCSB has only 1 at-large member,  only half the voters get to voice their opinion about getting changes on the school board.. I, for one, do not get to vote but in one local governance race.. my school district is not in the mix, my Council District rep is running unopposed so I get only to vote for 1 of the 2 "at-large" Council seats, and unfortunately, my choices are the incumbent who wants to lift the property tax freeze, and another lawyer like the Mayor.. Though I'm not whole-heartedly behind the incumbent, I cannot, in clear conscience, vote for any lawyer running for a Council seat.

---
Hmmm.. did you notice that the L-E has run the Council Agenda in today's (Monday) edition? Usually, this is run in the Sunday edition.. so people have a chance to voice their opinion or plan to attend the meeting.. the L-E is pathetic in being a watchdog for the community.

---
L-E story: "Hillary Clinton has a message for Donald Trump: keep on talking. * Clinton is just weeks away from wrapping up the Democratic nomination, and friends, aides and supporters describe a candidate unconcerned by what she expects will be Trump’s increasingly direct attacks on her marriage and husband’s personal indiscretions. * They say Clinton believes she can turn Trump’s personal criticisms to her benefit — particularly among suburban women who may be crucial to her hopes in the fall." -- Is there no shame in Hillary.. about anything? Doesn't she realize that "suburban women" are going to be more concerned about whether perverts are going to be in the same public bathrooms as they are or that perverse males will be in the girls locker rooms  at school?

You know.. letting countries "mail in" urine samples for the Olympics is at best an effort in futility.. one test of DNA will probably show most countries' "samples" come for one guy and one woman who aren't even on the teams.

Online headline/story: "Mark Cuban: I'd 'absolutely' consider being Hillary Clinton's vice president *
Mark Cuban told NBC's Chuck Todd in a "Meet the Press" interview set to air Sunday that he would "absolutely" consider being Hillary Clinton's running mate. * "Absolutely," he said. * "I know what Hillary's positions are," he said. "I can go to Hillary's website and there's spreadsheets, there's depth, there's analysis, there's details * "But the key would be that she'd have to go more to center." -- "she'd have to go more to center"?  -- Hey, Cuban, the Mavericks already have a "center"... besides, as much of a pathological liar as she is, what makes you think her website has any truth on it?

---
Online headline: "FDA makes huge change to food labels in the US: -- Whew.. it's just more nutrition stuff.. I first thought packaging was going to have to have Spanish, Chinese, French and Farsi versions as well, and food would have to be packaged in "blister packs" so there'd be room on the labels.

---
I think the majority of the MCSB members have lost sight of their purpose.. while it's the Superintendents job to run/administrate, it's the school board members' job to be leaders and give community direction to the Superintendent.. School board members not wanting access to all financial data need to be weeded out.

With the influx of planes crashing, and the propensity of planes being the target of terrorist, isn't it time for a better recovery system for planes' "black boxes"?

LIV "doubleheader" L-E "soundoffs": "A sheriff who can’t follow directions and a sheriff who can’t follow a budget — what a choice. Where’s Wyatt Earp when you need him? &  Chief Ricky Boren should mentor Sheriff John Darr or Mark LaJoye regarding ways to manage a budget." -- I'm actually glad to see Tompkins and LaJoye reinstated on the ballots and running in November.. it will give Sheriff Darr an opportunity to point out that neither one seems to know that the budget overruns exist because of federal/court mandates/'orders to inmate medical/psychiatric care.  And apparently, neither does Mayor TomLYINGson...

---
A Democrat spinmeister on Fox was trying to make a point that Donald Trump would be a disaster as our commander-in-chief....HUH? Trump..bad...compared to who... ZERO-bama...or Hillary ..or Bernie? Good grief!
_
L-E's " Thought for Today, “Being frustrated is disagreeable, but the real disasters of life begin when you get what you want.” — Irving Kristol, American writer (1920-2009)." -- Sounds like the basis of the Democratic Party excuse when the voters ask why they are still in poverty.

That "Together 2016" campaign is filled with mysteries,, what is it's real purpose.. other than spending beau coup bucks on newspaper ads .. One ad says, "The next chapter of Together 2016 is choosing a project that will be funded by our partners - ranging from beautification projects to promoting development and tourism."
I've been to the website searching for purpose"
:

but haven't really seen anything that warrants the activities going on except that "it" has set up a huge political base to campaign TADs and for voting the tax freeze out. Anybody know anything different?

Online headline/story: "Secret Service: Suspect shot at White House gate * The suspect was brandishing a weapon, and a uniformed Secret Service officer gave him "numerous verbal commands for the subject to stop and drop the firearm," said Secret Service spokesman Samuel Reed Jr. The officer shot the suspect once, and he was taken to a local hospital." --  Hmm.. it's OK for Secret Service agents to give a verbal order then shoot, but not for police officers patrolling high crime neigborhoods? Of course the rumor has it that man shot wanted to use the White House West Wing bathroom of Michelle Obama.

---
There are only a few issues that will be pertinent in November...safety from ISIS, safety in our neighborhoods, and whether soccer moms want perverted men going into their daughters'' bath/lockerrooms.

---
I think I know why Hillary is for open use of public bathrooms.. she wants to feel free to follow Bill into them to see who he's meeting.

---
Classic Hillary campaign literature:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

L-E guest commentary: "Time for just one Clinton in the 2016 race * BY GAIL COLLINS New York Times News Service *    Hillary wants to be the first woman ever elected president of the United States. The economy is the central issue in the campaign. The fact that she’s assuring voters that Bill will take care of it is … totally wrong." -- Whoa! Even the liberals are realizing Hillary's not "the smartest woman in the world" ... unless... Hillary admits that no woman is smarter than men.

Jordam Spieth is back! Forget the back-to-back good rounds at the Byron Nelson.. on the practice tee.. Spieth delighted the fans by teeing up a marshmallow and popping it up in the air with a lob wedge.. then.. ran out ahead turned around and made a diving catch of the marshmallow with his teeth!  That goes into my top five "no one can do that shot" category, and is a contender for a shot my late Uncle Hal Armentrout made at the Country Club of Columbus playing with my mom and dad. (Mother was Uncle Hal's sister).. After a miserable 11 holes of golf, Uncle Hal was down to his last golf ball as he teed it up on #12. Number 12 has a small pond about 25 yard in front of the tee. Uncle Hal "skied" hi tee shot straight up.. quickly realizing the situation. Uncle Hal dropped his driver and loped off at full speed to the edge of the pond.. reached out and caught hi tee shot before it hit the water.. more such tales in the future...

Online headline/story: "Cashed out: Koch brothers sit on wallets in '16 *  The Kochs originally planned to spend nearly $900 million on the 2016 campaign but have since scaled back their budget for the entire cycle to just $40 million, as part of an overhaul of their free-spending approach to politics." -- Heh-heh-heh... now instead of mainscream media whining about the Koch brothers backing conservatives, mainscream media will be whining about how the Koch brothers have cut off nearly a Billion Dollars from their political ad spendings which went into mainscream media pockets.

---
Online headline/story: "US charges ex-Marine said to bilk vets in Chicago hedge fund fraud *  Federal prosecutors in Chicago unveiled a criminal fraud charge against an Illinois man who authorities say masqueraded as a successful hedge fund manager, using his status as a former Marine to entice military veterans to invest with him." -- Semper Fi... not! Every Marine... retired or active should be provided a picture and given his name, address, and daily schedule.

---
Online headline: "New data reveals shocking trend in US school system * The government recently released fresh statistics highlighting a startling problem that's getting increasingly worse in school districts across the nation." -- " recently released fresh statistics highlighting a startling problem"? Good grief.. what rock have these people been hiding under,,,and we aren't just talking about test scores or re-segregation in Columbus, GA's MCSD!

---
Online story: As Democrats shouted "shame," seven House Republicans switched their votes and defeated a measure on Thursday meant to protect gay rights. * The vote was 213-212. President Barack Obama has issued an executive order that bars discrimination against LGBT employees by federal contractors * In the end, 29 Republicans joined 183 Democrats backing the measure, but it was not enough" -- You know.. there's too much interference in politics to not just "protect" the rights of less than 4% of the population at the expense of 96%, but.. it's an absolute shame that Democrats vote as a bloc which discriminates against the majority.

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department - Online story: "Louis C.K. can now add "Jeopardy" winner to his list of accolades. * The comedian appeared on the long-running game show Wednesday alongside CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and Washington Post journalist Jonathan Capehart. * Despite a rough start that saw him briefly hold a negative score, C.K. made a huge comback and successfully trounced both reporters." -- I knew it! Actually the nation knew it which is why CNN and WaPo ratings and profits are in the pits.. .. reporters for both are not picked for their smartness... just their liberal agenda.

---
Online headline: "Kanye West goes on 8-minute rant on 'The Ellen Show'" -- Fortunately, only 3 people saw it.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: " Obamacare Consumers Are Getting Tired Of Those High Deductibles" -- Hmm the natives are restless...

---
A Fox reporter criticized Trump for commenting on the EgyptAir crash before any confirming info was received. Hmmm...and where was this reporter criticizing ZERO-bama for commenting...pretty much convicting... the Boston police officers who confronted the Harvard professor, the Ferguson, MO police officer who shot Michael Brown, the citizen who fought off Trayvon, and vilifies Christians who oppose perverted men using the public/government bathrooms built gor women's use.

---
Remember that homosexual pastor who sued Whole Foods contending Whole Foods had written a "slur" on his cake? Well.. Whole Foods had a surveillance camera and counter sued. The homosexual pastor has withdrawn his suit and apologized.. but is that enough... not in my book.

---
Though attributed to Mark Twain, there is no written confirmation of such, but, regardless, this quote has to be the guiding motto of the Democratic Party and its campaign strategy: "It is easier to fool people than it is to convince them they have  been fooled"..

---
I'm going to repeat this from yesterday because we're down to the wire on early and "regular" voting day: "You know, it's not just amazing...it's dauntingly disheartening, that we have 6 members on our school board who are content to remain in a financial fog when it comes to knowing how tax dollars are being spent. Fortunately, 4 posts are up for unseating 4 of those 6 this month. Vote for Pete Taylor, Joann Thomas Brown, Shelia (NOT Cathy) Williams, and Vanessa Jackson. We deserve responsible representation!

---
L-E headline: "Clinton grapples with Trump’s ability to stay in spotlight" -- Good grief.. you'd think Hillary would be thankful for Trump's ability to draw attention to himself.. it keeps her scandals in the shadows.

---
You know.. driving around Columbus, it seems every stoplight is on the same sequence between movoing to yellow then red. It's a wonder that we don't have more t-bone accidents it intersections than we do.. When speed limits on roads are higher at some intersections, there should be appropriately more time for drivers to make the decision that they have to stop before the yellow turns to red.

---
From the "what is it with liberals" department - L-E guest editorial headline/content: "And millions just don’t care * BY ANN MCFEATTERS * Tribune News Service * It’s long been a tenet of this country that Americans believe in fair play. But millions are ready to elect a president who believes the rules do not apply to him." -- "millions are ready to elect a president who believes the rules do not apply to HIM"? Good grief.. Trump has basically just applied the rules of a success businessman as opposed to applying the rules of a successful politician, and people are excited, but it really points out that Democrats/mainscream media are more eager to elect Hillary who believes not only do the rules of anything do not apply to her, but she's also entitled to write/change any rule that will help her get elected.

---
From the "say it ain't so, Joe" and the "I really love Phil (fan)" department: "L-E story: " Phil Mickelson paid off a debt to a professional gambler with nearly $1 million that was unfairly reaped from an insider trading scheme, according to a federal investigation that led to two arrests but spared the golf great from criminal charges. * Mickelson, named as a “relief defendant” in a civil suit in the case accused only of profiting from the misdeeds of others, agreed to repay the $931,000 he made from a single trade in 2012." -- Oh, Phil.. don't become the Pete Rose of golf! Will we ever be able to assume Phil will call a penalty on himself again?

---
L-E headline: "Fort Benning may get almost $5 million to build hanger for drone-type aircraft" -- How appropriate.. a facility that suits the "drone" of BIshops rhetoric..

Latest from Hillary:

"Donald Trump just released a list of 11 people he'd vet to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court if he wins the White House.

The list includes extreme ideologues who, if given the chance, would likely roll back our progress in critical fights like marriage equality and health care -- and would do devastating damage to a woman's right to choose, a union's right to organize, and everyone's right to vote.

And this being Donald Trump, it should come as no surprise that not one of his choices is a person of color."

-- Good grief.. Hillary is in deep trouble.. she's thrown the "women's Card" and Trumped herself by exposing to women that she feels they should enjoy.. welcome.. having pervert men use their bathrooms, and by saying she's not as capable of running the presidency as a man (Bill), and now she's throwing the "race Card"... again... but blacks are going to start looking at her record, too, and see she and the Democrats have never kept their promises or got them out of poverty.

---
From the "how come" department: Talk about having my socks blown off..last night at church, a retired former MCSD superintendent presented a request for an audit of various funds as part of a look into the future to make sure we are allocating and using out available funds in the best manner... I thought.. how come  he didn't ask for a fund use audit of the school system?

---
There was an article about our school system showing a slide show of the "brightest" students talking about what they plan to do after college.. school officials took note.. and exception... that none of "the brightest" mentioned "teaching". Perhaps some of these "brightest" will return to teaching later in life when they can relate their experiences and successes to future students and motivate them to succeed.

---
You know, it's not just amazing...it's dauntingly disheartening, that we have 6 members on our school board who are content to remain in a financial fog when it comes to knowing how tax dollars are being spent. Fortunately, 4 posts are up for unseating 4 of those 6 this month. Vote for Pete Taylor, Joann Thomas Brown, Shelia (NOT Cathy) Williams, and Vanessa Jackson. We deserve responsible representation!

---
It really bugs me to see "Hillary for us" campaign signs. Nowhere can I conceive being included in Hillary's "us" category..

---
Passed on by a fellow BCer: Online story: "While arguing that Christians and other conservative have lost the “culture wars” in America, a professor at Harvard University insists that those with such religious and political views should be treated like Nazis for taking a biblical stance on today’s social issues. * Harvard Law Professor Mark Tushnet claimed in a recent blog post that Americans with a biblical worldview and others leaning toward the political Right have ended up on the wrong side of history and should be dealt with similar to the way Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germans were treated after losing World War II. " -- "should be dealt with
similar to the way Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germnas were treated after losing World War II"? Good grief.. I am going to start looking a the credentials of younger lawyers I use in the future, and a diploma that reads "Harvard Law" will be an automatic exclusion.

Online headline: "Proposed police department budget tops $40 million" -- Hmmm well, that's about 15% of the City budget,, and half of that comes from the Public Safety LOST sales tax.. considering the crime spree barrage we are experiencing, the budget should be $40 Million without the LOST specified funding.

---
From the "Hey, ZERO-bama.. is it Islamic Terrorism time yet" department: " Online headline: "Plane carrying 66 vanishes over the Mediterranean Sea * EgyptAir said flight MS804 traveling from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar over the Mediterranean Sea on Thursday." -- "terrorism hasn't been ruled out"... is one of the scenarios.. Good grief.. a plane drops out of contact.. and the air, without a peep, and there are some that speculate it could be something other than terrorism?  VOTE TRUMP! The world needs him, too!

---
L-E "headline": "More work, more pay? New rule extends overtime to millions * The annual salary threshold for companies to deny overtime pay will double White House estimates that the rule change will raise pay by $1.2 billion a year for the next decade  * Some argue that changes will force businesses to convert salaried workers to hourly to closely track working time" --  "some say that changes will force businesses to convert salaried workers to hourly"? You betcha boots it will.. titles will be stripped away,, promotions due to hard work and loyalty will basically disappear, and overall compensation will drop.. Liberal politicians have no clue as to what makes industry grow, and this just proves it.. Salaried personnel are such because they have a specified job to do, and hours in a week vary with that responsibility.. all these new regulations will do is penalize the productive personnel. Hell, how do small business partners pay themselves "overtime" when they are doing what it takes to to stay open and profitable?

---
L-E headline/story: "Man wanted in fatal Hodges Drive shooting was recently released from prison *  Most recently incarcerated in the Macon State Prison, Johnson was sentenced to serve 10 years on the theft charge starting March 23, 2011. He was released on Feb. 21 after the State Board of Pardon and Paroles commuted the remainder of his sentence," -- Hmmm.. another "early release" success story... NOT!  I think it's time that when a felon convicted for possession of a firearm is released early, the new victim's family should be able to sue the individuals that voted to release the killer "early" from a previous sentence.

---
L-E headline: "Symposium to feature ‘world-class’ business leaders * The second Bob Wright Symposium is scheduled for Aug. 18 ABC News Anchor/Reporter Byron Pitts will moderate" -- Yopu know, I applaud Dr. Bob Wright's quest to bring good examples of successful business leaders to town, but didn't the L-E just run a story on how segregation was reverting in our school systems?  Shouldn't examples of success be highlighted because of the content of their character that works for all people of any race?

---
L-E headline/story: "More than 65 cyclists turn out for ‘Ride of Silence’ *  Columbus City Manager Isaiah Hugley joined many of the riders dressed in colorful cycling suits and representing groups throughout the city for the 6 p.m. event at the Columbus Museum. With a police escort, riders quietly rode from the museum on Wynnton Road to 13th Street, Cherokee and Hilton avenues to Broadway before returning to the museum. *  Similar rides took place in other cities across Georgia. *  “We wanted to get people to understand the bicycle law and be treated as a motorist,” said Jason McKenzie, owner of Ride on Bikes on Broadway and the coordinator of a series of events for Bike Week" -- "We wanted to get people to understand the bicycle law and be treated as a motorist"? Huh? What the educational slant should be is that bicycles are legally vehicles bound by the motor vehicle laws, and riders need to learn them and obey them.. no sidewalks if you're over 12, and traffic signs/lights are to be obeyed. Oh,, and since bikes are vehicles, why aren't they registered, taxed, and tagged like motor vehicles? If you want to be "equal" you have to be equal in all aspects.

---
Why are we having early voting centers open for 3 weeks prior to an election date so 4,000 people can vote when they could just as easily requested absentee ballots and the taxpayers wouldn't be stuck with the extra  costs of of multiple early voting centers?

---

L-E headline: "U.S.-MEXICO BORDER * Repairing border wall a daily duty * Drug traffickers have smashed trucks into the barrier, trying to break through Workers selling passage to illegal immigrants cut holes in the fence to allow entry * Keeping California’s border fence intact is a $9 million-a-year job" -- Hmmm.. keeping the current fences repaired is a $9,000,000.00 a year expense.. hmmm sounds a whole lot cheaper than the billions we're spending on incarcerating, schooling, feeding illegal aliens each year. Now, let's get the fence completely finished and "wire it up" .. hey we can probably adapt solar panels and windmill turbines to give a jolt to anybody that tries to breach it!

There's no way Hillary can claim a victory in KY...she did get a less than 2,000 vote margin but only got less than 47% of the closed primary support. Look for the DOJ to get involved and Biden is chomping at the bit.

---
Hillary beat Bernie by less than 2,000 votes in Kentucky..and the Democrat primary had only 64% of the turnout of 2008 in which Hillary blew away ZERO-bama. This year, Hillary drew less than 47% this year's vote, .....and less than 46%  of the votes she got in 2008.

---
What's with the MCSD...a couple of months ago, the MCSB voted to buy an over inflated piece of property next to Columbus High from a Council candidate, and now the MCSD is allowing  that person to stake out multiple  political signs on school property.

---
Trump can/will win just by reminding women Hillary feels perverted men have the same right to use Ladies Restrooms as their daughters do, and that Hillary, "the smartest woman in the world" ,has admitted she's not as able as Bill, a man, to handle the economy.

---
You know, after nearly 25 years of Hilary campaigning to be president, if you're hesitant to support her, then vote for Trump.. after 25 years, in your heart, you know she's not worthy.

---
Have you seen Jim Barksdale saying he's planning on keeping and wearing his cutesy cap in Washington if elected... good grief...this is what happens when a Democrat actually makes a promise he plans on keeping.

Hey..help Barksdale keep a "cap" on it, by voting for Copeland, Coyne, or Knox  instead.

---
I'm getting tons of donation requests from the GOP/RNC wanting me to donate to the Senate fund...excuse me, but aren't these the same folks that tried their best to knock off Trump....and why do they think I'm interested in supporting this pack of RINOs? Me, I'll send my support directly to Republicans that actually agree with me..

---
Online headline: "2 dead people got married in China" -- Rumor has it they honeymooned in Chicago and registered to vote.

---
Online story: "George Soros is a resident of New York state and a wealthy political donor. But the Panama Papers show his money resides elsewhere. * Soros Holdings Limited was incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Soros Capital in Bermuda. And Soros Finance Inc. was set up in Panama. It's there that the law firm Mossack Fonseca helped the rich and powerful avoid taxes and hide their wealth. *  Soros is one of 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's biggest contributors, donating at least $13 million to her campaign so far." -- Didn't Soros say he was for paying more in taxes? Yeah, right..

---
Online story: "A group of 51 Muslim states has blocked 11 gay and transgender organizations from attending a high-level meeting at the United Nations next month on ending Aids, sparking a protest by the US, Canada and the EU." -- Hmmm... hey LGBT's .. Trump is right!

---
L-E headline: "Request for more access to financial records rejected * Board members Myers and Thomas convince only Cantrell in 3-6 vote *  They want read-only access to public information in business software system without having to go through an administrator * Opponents call defeated proposal an overreach and micromanaging" -- "micromanaging"?  Since when is having access to financial information "micromanaging" when the people wanting it are having to make decisions?  This is like Nancy Pelosi's evaluation of OOBamaCRAP on steroids... you have to pass things on the word of someone who doesn't want to tell you how much of YOUR money is being used... and how!

---
L-E headline/story: "School board joins city to establish TADs * TADs provide incentives to develop underutilized or blighted areas and generate revenue Columbus voters approved 2014 referendum to authorize this action * The Muscogee County School Board has joined the county’s other taxing authority, the Columbus Consolidated Government, in the local effort to establish a new mechanism for redeveloping certain areas." -- "to establish a new mechanism for redeveloping certain areas"? Good grief.. shouldn't the MCSB establish a new mechanism.. a WORKING new mechanism.... to redevelop certain areas in getting students educated successfully first?

---
L-E headline/story: ":New evidence shows U.S. schools are resegregating *   Poor, black and Hispanic children are becoming increasingly isolated from their white, affluent peers in the nation’s public schools, according to new federal data released Tuesday, 62 years after the Supreme Court decided that segregated schools are “inherently unequal” and therefore unconstitutional." -- Besides a movement by minority leadership to attain segregation in as many areas as they do... student segregation never was the solution.. Children function better in neighborhood schools as their parents are better enabled to participate in school activities. The real solution is.. and was.. is to make sure that every school's teacher/administrative and support staff is  reflective of a city's composition of people.. Students will learn more about matriculating into society by observing society working together for the common good.

---
Have you seen the direction of Brewers lately? We're bombarded with apple and lemon and other fruity concoctions but I think this one takes the cake..  Bellaire Brown’s alluring web of flavors shows why: toffee, caramel, milk chocolate and even a wisp of coconut." -- Good grief .. put some whipped cream and a cherry on top and you have the next Ben & Jerry's flavor of the month..and it'll go well WITH cake. Can't wait for Miller to make a "Lite" version... on second thought.. yes, I can wait to eternity on this.

L-E headline/story: "Residents may experience discolored water after break in 42-inch main
More than half of the city was impacted after 42-inch pipe at North Columbus Water Treatment facility failed Leak was isolated and water pressure returned to normal but there is no estimate on when repair will be completed *  Due to the break in the water main and change in water pressure, Burchfield said some customers are advised to flush their water for 10 to 15 minutes until the line clears if water is discolored.' -- Hmm.. and who's going to reimburse homeowners for the damages of contaminated water ruining water heaters, refrigerator ice makers, and washing machines? Oh... and is the Columbus Water Works going to reimburse homeowners for all the water used to flush out their whole household system? Not a chance!

Online headline: "Hillary Clinton slams Donald Trump's tax plan" -- Good grief..Hillary agrees with Bernie... this is about as close of an endorsement Trump needs for a landslide win!

---
Online story: "The tiny Vermont college that Bernie Sanders' wife used to run is going out of business — done-in by a $10 million real estate deal that she spearheaded. * Burlington College, which had been crushed beneath weight of the property purchase made in 2010 while Jane Sanders was college president, will close at the end of the month, the college confirmed on Monday." -- Guess Bernie has an answer for his stance on "Free College".... NO COLLEGE!

---
Online story: "Tiger Woods made an appearance at Congressional on Monday in the lead-up to this weekend's Quicken Loans National, which he hosts every year on behalf of his foundation. * With members of the media watching closely at a forward tee on the par-3 10th, Woods — hitting his first real shots for the public in months — dumped three consecutive ceremonial shots into the pond." -- It was probably his hat with "Vapor" emblazoned on it... should have had one that read "Vaporized". Anyway.. it's good that Tiger's back surgeries are allowing him to swing a golf club again.. Hope this is just a humbling beginning to a triumphant return to the Tour.

---
How refreshing...got a letter from Mike Crane, Republican candidate for GA District 3 Congressional Primary, thanking me for my support and donation. What was refreshing was that he didn't ask for more.

---
Hmmmm..looks like one initiative promoted by ZERO-bama is actually accomplishing the results desired. Black Lives Matter wanted to alter police procedures in cities, and BLM has gotten its wish..police don't run down criminals who flee, so crime has gotten worse.

---
You know, hearing ZERO-bama say "the truth is" when trying to express a point does not give me much confidence that what he's about to say is the truth.

---
You know, liberal spinmeisters are in a tizzy trying to label Trump as a pathological liar...huh...you'd think liberals be very comfortable with that..

---
Al Qaeda's online magazine sorta oughta tells its jihadist followers what will bring down the US...target US business leaders....hmmm as opposed to current US politicians? This should cement your feelings about how the world feels about our Democrat & Rino politicians.

---
Men should be concerned about Hillary being president..she ignored Bill's "bimbo eruptions", tries to ignore Bernie's continued campaigning, and only supports male perverts who want to burst into women's bath and locker rooms.

---
O'Hare Airport in Chicago has announced that flyers need to allow 3 hours for security processing before boarding their flights. ..Hmmm, combined with an easy hour it also takes just to get to the airport, the average domestic flyer from Chicago will spend more trying to get on a plane there than in flight time to most American destinations.

---
Why is Trump's personal dating life during periods when he was single a bigger issue than Slick Willie's "dating" when he was married and a governor and president?

---
Fox News..."fair and ballanced"? Since when is using former press persons of Kerry and Bush to discuss Trump "fair & balance"? Shouldn't one be a true supporter of Trump?

---
A well known Wall Street investigative analyst has parsed the financial statements of the Clinton Foundations, and raised alarming concerns of abuses that would bring reputable charities to their knees. Forget that only 10% gets directed to needy causes, but 1/3rd of distributions go to salaries of administrators. As a non-paid foundation principle, I'm angry at shenanigans like this. Even "Charity Navigator" has thrown up its hands at deciphering the Clinton financial statements.

---
An environmental activist group is suing to get the U of Nebraska to stop releasing helium balloons at home football games..The group insists the balloons are "flying garbage". Hmmm..wonder what they call the balloons their children want to play with?

---
You know, the NYT would probably hit Trump harder doing a piece on how successful and philanthropic he's been..Most of America would feel like the NYT was lying anyway.

---
You know, a simple solution to the Democrat created bathroom issue would be to mark bathroom and polling booths "Liberal" or "Conservative".

---
The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to support the views of the majority while keeping the rights of the minority protected..nowhere did it say 96+ percent of Americans should kowtow to the less than 4% who have gender issues.

---
Both Trump and Biden had family members graduated from U of Pennsylvania this past weekend.. Rumor has it there was a change-of-venue to accommodate two teams of Secret Service agents.

---
Finally got my Medicare card.. It's strange.. that I delayed "applyng" for it until now rather than when I turned 65 (4 years ago) so my youngest would be out of high school before her "old man" started collecting "old man" compensations, and now I am being penalized over a year before parts of the Medicare start for me.. You'd think that the government would be grateful I paid my own medical bills the last 4 years and would thank me for my patriotism.. but.. it's the ZERO-bama administration , so being patriotic is not a good thing.

---
L-E headline/story: "Terminally ill child molester sentenced to 30 years *    The circumstances are complicated by Johnson’s medical condition. He was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in October and it has spread, said his defense attorney. * . Johnson’s prognosis in the fall was nine to 12 months to live,(His attorney) said. * “His medical treatment, medication and transportation has cost Muscogee County more than $150,000,” (His attorney) said. “By entering this plea our goal was to save the county money and get him out of that system and into the federal system.” -- Good grief.. there is nothing this lawyer said that hides the intent to get the (_*_) into the federal system as quick as possible so a liver transplant can be initiated.. Hey.. Mayor TomLYINGson.. you too, sheriff-wannabe Mark LaJoye.. Sheriff Darr HAD to provide $150,000.00 for mandated medical treatment for a terminally ill, and rain-warped person.. and y'all want to blame Darr for the budget overruns.... pathetic!

---
L-E "headLIES": "Hillary Clinton: Husband Bill would tackle economy * Bill Clinton reigned over a strong economy during his presidency" Good grief.. Newt Gingrich kept the budget on track until he left office for the last two years of Clinton's administration.. after that, the mortgage balloon and stock market "bubble" florished under Clinton, and burst when controls were attempted under Bush.

---
Instant repeat: "L-E "headLIES": "Hillary Clinton: Husband Bill would tackle economy" -- Hey, Hillary.. haven't you just thrown women and your  "equal pay for equal work" campaign under the train? Not even elected, but Hillary is conceding she's not the one who can handle the job as president.

---
L-E headline: "Muscogee County School Board approves two principals * Amia Burnette coming from Atlanta to lead Lonnie Jackson" -- Good grief.. The MCSD and the MCSB just condemned their own practices.. no well run private organization would bring in outside management unless internal practices were a disaster..
Vote for new MCSB members  Brown, Shelia (not Cathy) Williams, Johnson and Taylor and get some real change for the good.

---
L-E headline/story: "Low-income high schoolers to get grants for college courses 8 For the first time, thousands of low-income high-school students in nearly two dozen states will soon be able to get federal grants to take college courses for credit, part of a program the Obama administration plans to begin this summer. * The Education Department says the administration will invest about $20 million in the 2016-17 school year to help about 10,000 students" -- Help 10,000 students? Well, if 100% of the money went for scholarships, each student would get $2,000.00... which wouldn't pay the tuition, much less any other expenses, for 1 semester! The reality is, like most government programs,  administrative expenses for the program will eat up nearly 80% of the available funds making only $4,000,000.00 which "gives" each
student about $400.00 for the year which want even buy their books.. Of course, if the students are like a lot here in Columbus, GA, they are use to going to class without any books..

---
L-E headline: "Blank says work on new stadium is on schedule" -- Hey, why don't we "draft" Blank for the head of the GA DOT.. it would be nice to hear someone say that the Whittlesey Road widening project were on any kind of schedule!

---

Hmmm... the economy in Columbus must be even worse than the L-E let's us know about.. remember when the "Foreclosure Section" was "Section E"? Well, now it's "Section C".
