Online story: "The agency, under fire for long lines at airport checkpoints,
security miscues, high turnover rates, retaliation against whistle blowers and
lack of accountability for senior staff, has terminated one executive in the
past five years, according to data provided to NBC News by the federal Office of
Personnel Management. * By comparison, 6,889 employees who worked under those
executives were fired during that time. * That discrepancy became particularly
relevant this week, after TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger announced that he
had reassigned the agency's head of security, Kelly Hoggan. * Hoggan had become
a public face for the security lines crisis — and for deeper problems in the
agency. The House Oversight Committee last month questioned a $90,000 bonus he
received in small, hard-to-track payments even as he oversaw what the panel
called "significant security vulnerabilities."" -- " reassigned the agency's
head of security, Kelly Hoggan"? "REASSIGNED"! Good grief.. he should have been
publicly excoriated! What I really want to know is, "Who the heck authorized and
signed the monthly bonus/awards checks to Hoggan? He/she and anyone working in
the same office should be fired and named defendants in a class action law suit
by everyone who missed a flight because of TSA screenings.

story: "Donald Trump has highlighted his credentials as an outsider throughout
his 2016 campaign, but six-in-ten American voters say they're unsure about his
lack of military or government experience, a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal
poll shows." -- "unsure about his lack of military or government experience"? --
Good grief.. anyone who's mega-successful in a legal business has had as much an
education in how government "works", and is in better position to help
government make changes that will actually help other businesses grow. .. and as
for concerns about his military experience.. who'd be better .. a person who
actually loves our military and ots vets, or a tandem of politicians that have a
proven and documented record of "loathing" tour military?

Now that
its for sure that there was an explosion on board of the downed EgyptAir flight,
has anyone heard ZERO-bama or Hillary utter the words, "Islamic
terrorism"?

Online story: "A little-known fast-food chain run by
two former Costco executives is about to launch a rapid expansion, thanks to an
investment from Costco's founder. * The Organic Coup, which is the first
USDA-certified organic fast-food chain in the US, just raised $7 million in an
initial round of financing led by Costco founder and former CEO Jim Sinegal. *
The chain, which specializes in fried-chicken sandwiches and chocolate-drizzled
caramel popcorn, currently has two restaurants — one in San Francisco and one in
Pleasanton, California * The restaurant's specialty is its spicy fried chicken
made from organic, air-chilled chicken breasts fried in coconut oil." * "It's
the most expensive oil we could have chosen, but it has good plant-based fats,
no cholesterol, and it's high in Vitamin A," Welton said." -- Whoa.. put your
checkbooks back in your pocket.. selling organic, coconut oil fried chicken in
California is one thing.. selling such in the South is another issue in itself..
besides, who's going to buy organically sweetened ice tea and organically
seasoned collard greens? And what about organically sweetened
cornbread.....

Online headline/story: "Ohio students told not to
sing the Lord's Prayer at graduation had this bold response * the prayer has
been included in East Liverpool (Ohio) High School's commencement for seven
decades. But that tradition looked like it was going to come to an end this year
after the Freedom From Religion Foundation told the school to remove the prayer
from the program because it violates the separation of church and state. * "We
said, 'OK, we just won't do it anymore,'" school board President Larry Walton
told WTOV. "It was a decision made because we don't have a lot of money, and
we'd rather hire teachers than pay lawyers." -- "We said, 'OK, we just won't do
it anymore...we'd rather hire teachers to pay lawyers"? Good grief.. and what's
this (_*_) "teaching" about the 1st Amendment? Like Paul Harvey might add, "the
rest of the story" is that the valedictorian, Jonathan Montgomery. came onstage
to speak Sunday, he led his fellow students in reciting the prayer. Afterward,
the audience gave the grads a standing ovation. Oh, and this brings up another
issue.. the one in North Carolina where they want to eliminate naming a
valedictorian at all!

Online headline: "Navy veteran switched from
GOP to Dems to show his 'hate for Donald Trump'" -- Hmmm just another victim of
the ZERO-bama and the Democrat administration's Veterans' Hospital scandal...
obviously, this sole vet needs mental help... FAST!

You know.. it
must be a real frustrating thing for some scientists and agnostics/atheists...
to explain "life". that is...in the scheme of things, Neanderthals knew as much
as modern man as how to create "man" from scratch...

headline: "JOHN KASICH: It's going to be 'really hard' to endorse Donald Trump"
- Good grief.. I reckon so... he'd have been a shoo-in if he'd run against
Hillary and Bernie in the Democrat primaries.
---
Where is the
RNC/GOP? The RNC/GOP should be out discrediting Bush and Kasich (and any other
former candidate) for not honoring their pledges to support the Party
candidate.

Online headline/story: "Albuquerque cops injured as
anti-Trump protests turn violent * Protesters burned pro-Trump flags and signs
and threw rocks and bottles during a brief but tense confrontation outside the
Albuquerque Convention Center after Trump was finished speaking, and again later
as police tried to move crowds out of the area." -- Seriously.. do you want a
president.. in fact any politician who will reward violence like this by
promising more entitlement programs, or president who will arrest those
responsible.. for endangering the lives of working police officers and citizens
going about their work schedule?

Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Bob McDonald's Disney line wait comparison
was horrible. Disney patrons paid a fee to be there, our veterans "paid a
price"!

Hmmm... it appears Marshal Countryman will return to office.. now, who's
going to arrest him for misuse of taxpayer funds for charging his legal fees to
a CCG credit card?

L-E headline: "Columbus Council finalizes FY2017 budget" -- Surely there is
a law saying that Council cannot authorize a new budget that can only be
balanced by using money from the "fund balance". That money needs to be there
when emergency situations arise, not because of some project whim.

L-E headline/story: "GOP governors ask FCC to address illegal prison
cellphones * Ten Republican governors want the Federal Communications Commission
to give states more autonomy to apply technology that can stop prison inmates
from using smuggled cellphones." -- Good grief.. who's running the prison search
staff.. the TSA? Theoretically, not even prison staff members need a cellphone
while on duty.. they have access to an internal radio communication system, so
all cellphones.. whether owned staff, visitors, or lawyers, should be held at
the check-in gate, and returned only when they leave the grounds.

Of all the local races that ended with disappointment was the unseating of
Superior Court Clerk, Linda Pierce. Unfortunately, she did not recognize that
she's a pariah in the Democrat Party because she's locked horns with Mayor
TomLYINGson, and had no chance in the Democratic Party primary. She should have
declared herself an Independent or Republican and have had the election settled
in the November General Election..

All is not lost for big changes on the MCSB.. there was one outright win
for change (Vanessa Jackson), and there are 2 "for sure" runoffs in other
district races, and possibly in all 3 of them.. real change in the direction..
upward change... is looking good for the next school year! Way to go Columbus
taxpayers and parents interested in their children's education!

L-E headline/story: "American flag to fly in Broadway median beginning on
Sunday * You have probably noticed the large flag pole that has been erected in
the Broadway median on the south end of the 1100 block. * Right now, it’s just
a pole, but starting Sunday night when the 8-by-12-foot American flag is raised
for the first time, you won’t be able to miss it. * The flag is a project
funded by Big Dog Running Co., the Run Across Georgia and Uptown Columbus , Inc.
No public funds were used in the project, which cost about $7,500 including
donated materials and work hours. * Teeples, Columbus builder and co-owner of
Big Dog, is excited about the new flag being raised this weekend. * “This is
something we really wanted to do,” he said. * “This is Columbus and Fort
Benning. It is appropriate to have a large flag flying here.” -- Atta boy, John
Teeples! Say,, I remember that CB&T always had a flag flying on top of it's
Broadway building... is this no longer true? Why?
