Online story: "The Hillary Clinton campaign responded to a report Thursday that alleged Donald Trump violated the US embargo on Cuba nearly two decades ago. * "Trump's business with Cuba appears to have broken the law, flouted US foreign policy, and is in complete contradiction to Trump's own repeated, public statements that he had been offered opportunities to invest in Cuba but passed them up," said Jake Sullivan, a senior adviser to Clinton's campaign." -- Guess Hellary IS a typical Pelosi-Democrat.. she doesn't read  things before she "votes" on them. Further in the story (by design, I'm sure), but Trump's campaign manager stated, ""Read the entire story," she told the hosts of the daytime program. "It starts out with a screaming headline, as it usually does, that he did business in Cuba, and it turns out that he decided not to invest there. You have to read the entire story." Of course, mainscream media has moved on to lap up Hellary's next lie/innuendo.

I received an invitation earlier, but seeing the billboard yesterday reminded me of something I want to say now. Congratulations to Mr & Mr's Frank Brown being honored by with the Sue Marie and Bill TurnerServant Leadership Award coming up. The Browns are most deserving of this special recognition, but II'm passing on attending the presentation.. I really don't care to hear any more Kennedys speak on anything.

---
Online headline/story: "'Where are his damn tax returns?': Whoopi Goldberg relentlessly grills Trump campaign manager in fiery exchange * "Where are his damn tax returns? And why don't we know what he spent? Where is it?" Goldberg asked, claiming Hillary Clinton had been more transparent than Trump. * Conway said Golberg's characterization of Clinton as transparent was not true, saying she wanted to know what Clinton "was hiding in the 30,000 emails she deleted." * Goldberg moved the conversation back to Trump. * "What is Donald Trump hiding by not releasing that information?" she asked. * "So there is a 140-page financial disclosure form you can access," Conway replied. * "I want to know, since every other president has had to do it, where are the tax returns?" Goldberg shot back. "That's what I want to know."" -- " every other president has had to do it"?  Well, it's certainly not a requirement.. but people are curious.. nosy, BUT, WHOOPI, why aren't you interested in what Hellary did with her e-mails,, since it WAS a requirement to keep and turn over when she left office? If Whoopie is wanting transparency, she obviously is transparent about her lack of honesty in supporting what the people have a right to know about.

---
That"hit" Hellary made about the former Miss Universe during the debate got mainscream media titillated..
well, it may backfire on her.. She primed the pump to get that 20-year-old situation into the debate at the end, but what "fact checkers" found was that Trump was actually a "good guy" in saving the young woman's tit;e by not letting the organization fire her, Of course, the more the "fact checkers" "checked", the worse it got for Machado as a  criminal history has emerged.. Maybe Machado might want to sure Hellary now.

Who is Ann Hardman? She's the Democrat candidate for Clerk of Superior Clerk here in Columbus, but who is she? Yesterday, I was looking into her residency listed on her filings with the Board of Elections and found unusual "stuff" about it. Her listed residency belongs to someone else and there appeared to be a sale  of such, but was alerted by a local realtor, such sale had fallen through. Today, I ran a "google" and found her listed at another residence (https://nuwber.com/person/563a46bae0cd4806cb116478 )  (5035 Hawk's Ridge Dr) which is in our tax database as being owned by a NY firm (LC Strategic Realty, LLC 238 HOPKINS DR    WILLIAMSVILLE, NY 14221 ) or (8685 Sheridan Drive Williamsville, NY 1422) depending on whether you use our tax database or its website. Anyway. after more research, I found this website regarding her vocation - http://www.churchfinder.com/churches/tx/unknown/faith-worship-center-international/ann-l-hardman , and wonder where she can fit a full time job as Superior Court Clerk into her already full time jobs list. Her husn=band seems pretty preoccupied as well with "Mount of Transfiguration - Transforming Minds and Developing Champions - Pastor Norman Hardman - Opelika Alabama Church  (http://www.motchurch.org/)

Me, I'm writing in (actually "typing" in) for a better qualified candidate who can run the office full time.. Attorney Mike Garner.

Arcan Cetin...the Turkey Islamist shooter at that Washington Mall. well, it turns out he is not a US citizen but had voted in 3 elections. So much for the "honor system" in registering to vote..demand that photo ID and proof of citizenship be employed in every state for registering and verifiable government issued photo ID to vote!

---
A Congressional Committee wants to lower the boom on Wells Fargo's chief executive but why not Hellary as well. Both have committed criminal acts.

---
Went to a beautiful event yesterday..the 5th Annual Volunteer Faith Community and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon held at First Baptist Church.. it's an outreach program of the Sheriff's Office, Columbus Clergy, and the JAIL/SafeHouse Ministries founded by Chaplain Neil Richardson. Sheriff Darr was there..where was Mayor TomLYINGson?

---
Online story: "In response to a lawsuit filed earlier this month, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp has said that certain Georgians who had their voter-registration applications rejected in 2015 and 2016 will be able to cast ballots in the Nov. 8 presidential and general election." -- Wait a minute.. how can this be! Just yesterday it was disclosed the Washington "mall shooter" who was not a citizen of the US was allowed to register and vote in Washington elections during the last 3 voting cycles. Proof of US Citizenship and GA residency MUST be demanded!

L-E headline: "PEACHTREE MALL * Alleged gang members indicted in mall killing" -- Whoa! Wait minute we don't have gangs in Columbus.. Mayor TomLYINGson said so! .. Oh...... hmmm, she also says we can keep our "tax freeze" if we like it.. and vote for her idea to repeal the Constitutional Amendment that guarantees all citizens are treated equally and fairly.

You know.. I'm beginning to understand her insistence of building that $244,000.00 toilet on the RiverWalk.. she needs a place to flush her promises down.

---
L-E headline: "CHATTAHOOCHEE RIVERWALK * RiverWalk public art poem dedicated" --  I'm sure it will be an enjoyable sight,, and site for years to come, but I do have a question.. were the steel letters made in the US, Columbus, GA preferably.. say Golden Foundry, or were they made in the China facility that makes the Char Broil Grills that used to be made here in Columbus?

---
TomLYINGson Informed Voter's L-E "soundoff": "If you are enjoying the low property taxes you have and have no concern about new homebuyers, you are probably a Republican." -- Well, if you are promoting a "YES vote to repeal the protective Constitutional Amendment, you have either figured out how you will make money off of other people's misery, or... or.. either work for or fear repercussion of Mayor TomLYINGson.

---
L-E headline/story: "McBride Elementary receives national award *  One school in the Columbus area is among the 329 in the United States to be named a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School. * McBride Elementary School of Fort Benning is on the prestigious roll call U.S. Secretary of Education John King announced." -- Wow, until the second sentence, I thought maybe Columbuis had an elementary school we just hadn't know about.. Congrats to Ft Benning.. Hey MCSB.. next time you're looking for a new Superintendent, maybe you should look closer to home than Florida.

---
L-E headline: "‘The Price is Right Live!’ is coming to the RiverCenter * Tickets for “The Price is Right Live!” at the River-Center for the Performing Arts go on sale today." -- Oooops, my bad.. thought Hellary was gathering her Foundation donors for one last session while she's still in the running.

---
L-E story: "Columbus Council on Tuesday approved spending about $300,000 in Home Investment Partnership Program funds to help poor people afford a place to live. * Neighborworks Columbus Inc. will partner with the city to help low-income people get into decent, safe, and sanitary housing in Columbus." --
And what are these people going to do when the tax freeze is repealed and they get hit with annual tax increases they haven't budgeted?

---

L-E headline/story: "Executive resigns amid ‘TSYS 20/20’ changes * Shlonsky’s resignation comes with TSYS carrying out a major restructuring called “TSYS 20/20,” with the company not disclosing the number of job cuts taking place across the company. Employees were notified about two months ago, with the restructuring expected to be completed at the end of the July-September quarter." -- Hmmm..Maybe TSYS execs might want to renege on voting "YES on the repeal of the FREEZE amendment.. a lot of the "downsized" employees won't be able to take annual tax raises on less stable jobs.

In his first at appearance at bat in his first baseball game as a professsional.. and on the very first pitch to him, Tim Tebow jacked it out of the park.. but as far as I'm concerned, Tim Tebow has always been a "home run hitter"!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Bernie Sanders' 'Most Loyal Republican Friend' Gets Behind Hillary Clinton" -- Good grief.. calling a loyal friend of a devout Socialist a "republican" is about as insane as calling the Democrat nominee "Honest Hellary".

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Gary Johnson Struggles To Name A Foreign Leader He Admires" --  Stop throwing Johnson softballs.. ask him what his parents names are...and  "Mom and Dad" do not count.

---
I'm curious, with all the immunities the FBI has given to Hellary's staff but with no cooperation, why hasn't the FBI rescinded such and brought them in for questioning as cohorts in crime?

---
Columbus' Mayor TomLYINGson has no leg to stand on when to go after Sheriff Darr on the budget "overruns". Sheriff Darr can produce court and federal mandates responsible for  the millions it takes to run his office, but Mayor TomLYINGson can produce nothing for the many more millions she has taken out of our fund balance previous Mayors were diligently responsible in building but her personal whims and follies.

---
Hey, give Trump a break on his debate strategy...he's keeping his powder dry until the 3rd one and will fire away when he sees the "whites of her L-eyes".

----
Hellary is advocating "debt free" college. Good grief, has she told the different teacher unions that they would have to work for free? On a more serious aspect, it's pathetic that we have students that think this is doable..

---
From the "flip flop" department: How is it the Republican labeled representative of the 133rd District  in Muscogee County is teaming up with Democratic Party Mayor TomLYINGson in support of raising property taxes on all Columbus citizen? Sadly, he's running unopposed in November.. obviously the Republican Party didn't anticipate his "treasonous" departure from party ideals, and the Democrats knew, so the party didn't run someone against one of its own. John PezOLD needs a new name.  A fitting historical one.. and ___OLD one.. I got it .. Benedict ArnOLD. When you vote this time, whether early, by absentee ballot or on Election Day, write in ""Benedict ArnOLD" if you live in  the 133rd District.

---
Another write-in vote that can be done county wide is in the Clerk of Superior Court race.. Mike Garner has the background needed to be in charge of this vital office.. that of a career as an attorney. The otherwise unopposed Democrat candidate does not..

---
Why is this house still listed under it's previous owner who lives elsewhere now?

http://qpublic7.qpublic.net/ga_display_dw.php?county=ga_muscogee&KEY=182+001+018

According to "Zillow, this house was sold on April 9, 2016 for $950,000.00.

http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/235-Cascade-Rd-Columbus-GA-31904/76537937_zpid/

What's more, it's actually "pertinent" as this was the address Clerk of Superior Court  candidate Ann Hardman still lists this as her qualifying address.

---
L-E "headLIE/story": "Muscogee County delivers record SAT performance * The 2016 SAT scores were released on Wednesday. The Muscogee County School District’s composite score is its highest to date." -- Good grief.. calling it an all time record based only on the years when the 3rd part was added (and BTW, many schools do not consider the composition aspect as it's not objective) is pure deceit! But what's most revealing is the drop at the crowning school of the system. Columbus High.. have the political correct practices of the MCSD administration started deteriorating the one crown jewel? In addition, 5 of the high schools had a drop and it would probably been 6, had Jordan even had enough students who took the test.

---

TIV's (TomLYINGson Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": "A soldier lived next to me and after seven years he moved. He paid a total of $27,000 in property taxes. I paid $2,000. I thanked him for his service." -- As bad as the L-E is at screen obviously false info, this pretty much takes the cake. and the L-E owes this community a search of such drivel and publish the name of the writer and show the tax digest for his/her property and what the next door neighbors paid. According to the Muscogee County Board of Assessor's web site, a home paying $27.000 in taxes over 4 years with a Homestead exemptiom would have to be valued at around $275,000.00 so the L-E should be able to find the info reasonably quick. As for the writer.. whatta (_*_) for gloating!

Wednesday, September 28, 2016

Online headline/story: "FOX News host in hot water over Clinton comment * Brit Hume raised eyebrows during the first presidential debate after he made an unexpected remark about the Democratic nominee.
* "She looked, I think, for the most part, she looked composed, smug sometimes, not necessarily attractive," Fox News host Brit Hume said after the first presidential debate." -- Huh? I thought the very same thing,, but what I thought was "unattractive" about her were her words and rhetorical ideas.

---
Speaking of Hellary.. did you see the pictures of her leaning over to touch people's hands after the debate.. one particular shot taken from a quarter angle showed a small "box" in the small of her back with a cord running up her back.. she's already been caught wearing an earpiece earlier this year and now wears her hair

--------------------------------------------------------------------

From the "I am being screwed by TomLYINGson's existing  property tax" department : Interesting.. Jacy Jenkins, the writer of a letter to the L-E who wrote in favor of "Thaw the Freeze" lives in a split use condo/business building down town. Businesses occupy the ground floor and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors are condo-residences. What's interesting is that owners on the 2nd and 3rd floors are taxed at a millage rate of 41.25, while residences of the 4th floor, such as Jenkins are taxed at a millage rate of 48.24. Quick math says Jenkins would save 17% if his/her millage rate was the same as his 2nd and 3rd floor neighbors In fact, if his/her millage rate was the same, he'd have saved $427.00 annually! His/her attention should be focused on saving him/herself taxes rather than siding with Mayor TomLYINGson.

---
81,000,000 and still counting...that's the first report of the number of viewers that tuned in for the debate. That's 13,000,000+ more than any of the 2012 debates, and reflects the high numbers that came out to support Trump in the primaries. I guarantee these 13,000,000 are not on the call lists for all the standard polls the networks spout.

2012 debates indicate that more and more people are tuning in for Trump. These people are not on the polling lists that are being used.

---
Hellary said she made a mistake about her use of a personal server. Excuse me, that was not a mistake, it was intentionally criminal, and her asking for acceptance was pretty lame..She said she had taken responsibility for that, but we all know she's done nothing like that. She's blamed others and made excuses which have not flown with the American public.

---
Online headline/story: "Angry Charlotte residents call on mayor, police chief to resign in wake of shooting * Angry Charlotte residents verbally lashed City Council members for hours, complaining about what they called unaccountable police officers and civilian leaders who have failed to force change as the city marked a week of protests since a police officer fatally shot a black man." --  Good grief..how about charging whomever paid the out-of-state rioters/looters with obstruction of justice, destruction of public and private property, assault on police officers, plus a financial losses..private and public.

---
L-E story: "Darr has overspent his budget every year since taking office in 2008, totaling about $10 million in overruns. Tomlinson says it’s a matter of poor management on Darr’s part. Darr says it’s a matter of the city chronically underfunding his office, making it impossible to carry out his legally mandated duties without breaking his budget." -- Good grief... "the proverbial pot calling the kettle names....." -- How about an FORENSIC audit of TomLYINGson's destruction of the FUND Balance to pay for her non-revenue producing/neutral follies!

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "As a Christian man, I pray every day that Trump doesn’t become president. Hillary can be a cold queen, but at least she’s not a sleazebag." -- I guess we should call in Bill Clinton to get his definition of what a "sleazebag" IS... obviously this "soundoff" writer is a misogynist for calling Hellary a "cold queen", and whether "he" is a Christian or not is in doubt..

---
Amazing..."THAW THE FREEZE" claims citizens are not paying enough taxes and making all homeowners, especially new ones, pay more, will make out-of-towners clamor to move here...NOT!

---
The one thing Mayor TomLYINGson hasn't addressed in her "excuses for" list of why she thinks Columbus "isn't growing" is the miserable state of the MCSD..

---
L-E headline/sory: "Woman admits to throwing hot grits at boyfriend *  A woman allegedly threw hot grits at her boyfriend while he was holding their 10-month-old boy Sunday in a vehicle on Cusseta Road, according to testimony in Columbus Recorder’s Court." --  Wow! Can't you see the lawyers leaping in to file suits against whatever fast food restaurant served up grits "hot"?

---
L-E headline: "Opponents of school takeover challenge ballot language" -- If there is any referendum that needs rewording it's the local one on repealing the tax freeze Constitutional Amendment we have.. I suggest: "Do you want to keep the Constitutional Amendment that protects your property taxes from being run up annually by wasteful politicians?"  That's something to vote "Yes" about. too. Now, I also encourage all to vote for the "school takeover" referendum since our local system wants no change in the "rubber stamp board" even though the school test scores are miserable.

---
L-E headline: "Deal rolls out 3-step plan for police training * The governor believes training will improve police techniques, but Georgia NAACP expresses skepticism." -- Hmmm then why doesn't the Georgia NAACP roll out a "2-step criminal training" program.. "Drop the weapon and obey all the police commands". Everyone would benefit!

---
L-E headline/story: "Judge orders girls’ bathroom access for transgender student * In a decision Monday, Judge Algenon Marbley ordered the Highland Local School District in Morrow County to treat an 11-year-old student who is biologically male but identifies as female “as the girl she is.” That includes calling the student by a female name and female pronouns and giving the student access to the girls’ restroom." --  Well let's parse Judge Marbley.. appointed by Slick Willie Clinton...Chairman, Board of Directors KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) Columbus Charter School (2006 - Present) ... had to resign from Ohio State trustee on ethics grounds...couldn't find "spot info" on whether the judge has any children in public schools, but we should ask whether his ruling affects "charter schools" since he is a board member of one.

saying it all... wordlessly

Online headline: "Anchor grills Trump over 'false claim' in fiery dispute * Debate moderator Lester Holt confronted Donald Trump repeatedly on his claims that President Obama was not born in the US." -- You know.. In the scheme of things that this nation faces in the future, it was pathetic that Holt determined this was a worthy question America needed further conversation about. The whole issue was one brought on by the Democratic Party in 2008  by not requiring all candidates provide such documented proof of eligibility that met Constitutional specified requirements.

---
Trump won..

---
Our mayor in Columbus, GA is on an assault of what has been the best "checks and balances" plan ever devised to keep politicians from being wasteful. (though it's not a guarantee when a mayor like Mayor TomLYINGson has access to previous mayors diligence in maintaining a responsible "fund balance"). In 1982, Columbus citizens voted for a GA Constitutional Amendment that set the purchase price of their homes as it's taxable value until it was either major improvements or sold. Every homeowner was treated the same.. Even the US Supreme Court agreed it was Constitutional because it was fair and available  to EVERYONE. Mayor TomLYINGson says it has slowed our growth so it needs to be repealed and has set off on a crusade to do just such. Well, since she became mayor in 2010, our population has grown from a 2010 Census report of 189,885 to a 2015 ( "County Totals Dataset: Population, Population Change and Estimated Components of Population Change: April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2015". Retrieved July 2, 2016.)  estimate of 200,579. That my friends is a growth rate of 5.6%.. Her arguments and "facts" don't hold water..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscogee_County,_Georgia

---
Online story: "A CNN/ORC poll found that 62 percent of viewers thought Clinton won vs. 27 percent who thought Trump did so. That’s the most lopsided result in CNN’s data set, which goes back until 1984, except for Romney smoking Obama 67-25 at their first debate in 2012. Of CNN's respondents, 34 percent said the debate had made them more likely to vote for Clinton while 18 percent said it had made them more likely to vote for Trump." -- Hmmm.. when 18% of CNN viewers says watching the debate made them Trump supporters, Trump won by a landslide.

---
Yesterday's Houston shooter was an attorney.. named Nathan DeSai, and he was garbed in Nazi gear, I'm trying to figure out why mainscream media has not already labeled him a right-winger Trump supporter.. I guess it's because there may be info indicating otherwise.

---
Remember last night when Hellary stated that violent crime was down? Wonder if she missed the newest FBI report that was released  yesterday? Maybe she was holed up "getting  prepped" for the debate. An way, here's the online story :"Violent crime in the United States increased in 2015 but remained far below peak levels of the 1990s, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said on Monday as presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump prepared for a debate that is likely to focus on public safety. The murder rate rose 10%." -- Guess Lester Holt, NBC's anchor and debate moderator didn't notice the story either... yeah, right..

---
What is leadership when Hellary says se needs her husband to run the economy, and the debate moderator to fact check? Doesn't she need those skills to be president? Somehow, Lester Holt "forgot" to ask her about these.

---
Fox & Friends interviewed some Hofstra students yesterday morning. One was holding up a "Bieber for president" sign.. Steve Doucy asked her if she realized that Beiber was born in Canada and is not 35..either condition prohibiting Bieber from being president of the US. She looked dumbfounded. ... Common CRAP Curriculum?

---
It's as amusing as it is amazing that political pundits and analysts don't understand why Hellary is neither the predetermined winner projected 2 years ago nor rising in the polls. The reason is simple..all the people who will vote for her have already given up on maintaining their morals about her ever telling the truth.

---
Hellary did exercise one bit of good judgement last night.. she did not use a "lift" behind the lectern to give her more statue.. Guess someone finally realized that it would have been a Lord Farquaad moment straight out of "Shrek".

---
Online headline: "Ga. Rep. Hank Johnson Introduces Voting Protection Measures" -- Guess Hank doesn't want too many voting machines in one corner of the polling place so it want tip over....

---
Online headline: "Kennesaw OK’s $28M city budget" -- Hmmm.. one of our neighbors with a population of about 33,000.. Hmm that's a budget of about $848.00 per person.. compare that with our current budget of $263,000,000.00.. with our population of 200,000 that comes to $1,315.-- per person. Tax revenue is a problem here, wasteful spending is THE problem here.

---
Yesterday afternoon, I actually switched channels.from Fox to MSNBC because I cannot stomach Juan Williams defending Hellary as a legitimate American patriot. At least on MSNBC, the staff is honest about her dishonesty, and their complicity.

---
L-E headline: "Clinton, Trump clash over economy" -- I reckon so.. especially if you compare track records of Trump's businesses and the US National Debt. Of course, I'm surprised anyone at the L-E stayed up late enough to actually have this in today's issue.

---
Possibly the best "L-E "soundoff of the year: "The “motto” for Columbus is “What Progress Has Preserved.” Don’t you think we should change it to “What Progress Has Done in Attracting More Orange Cones and Barrels”? -- heh heh heh

---
Possibly the second best L-E "soundoff" of the year: "If the mayor thinks she can run the jail on the budget she has given Darr, why doesn’t she go over there and try to run it with that same budget and still follow all of the mandates they have? -- she won't though, because she'd lose control of our "Fund Balance" check book.

---
L-E headline/story: "Council to vote on internal audit of sheriff’s office" *  A resolution authorizing Internal Auditor John Redmond to perform the audit states that he should begin “at the earliest possible time.” *  At a council meeting in July, Darr agreed to an audit of his office, but he said he would prefer an outside auditor, such as Albright & Fortenberry, which regularly does work for the city. *  At the time, Councilor Mike Baker, a certified public accountant, said he would agree to the delay, but he would ultimately side with Redmond performing the audit, regardless of Darr’s objections. * “Whether you’re talking about government or private business, you don’t get to pick your auditor,” Baker said." -- I have as much confoidence in City Auditor John Redmond .. perhaps even more, than Mike Baker, but..no, BUT, in this case which is fueled by Redmond's boss to be done at election time reeks of "style over substance".. and even Mayor TomLYINGson's "style" smells like a rat. I also think it's unfair to Redmond and the taxpayers. Also, shame on Glenn Davis for being TomLYINGson's "dupe".

---
Before the early voting starts locally, I think Mayor TomLYINGson should post her personal Foundation's 2015/2016 local donations. Past results have favored organizations that side with her on issues.

---
Another thing for sure is that Mayor TomLYINGson is not interested in whether the "freeze" is "fair" to new home buyers, because she mentions nothing about simply balancing out revenues by raising some old tax rates and lowering the new ones. She simply wants to "stick it" to old home owners and new buyers alike.

---
L-E editorial headline/content: "Milestone for literacy and learning *  Even before retired Aflac executive Warren Steele was involved with any large-scale childhood literacy project, he was mentoring and reading to school children. * “What I saw,” Steele told the Ledger-Enquirer’s Lauren Gorla, “was that those kids were already so far behind in third grade and definitely by fifth grade, I realized what I think was a need to get to them sooner.”" -- Accolades for Warren Steels! Now, why is not making sure every 3rd grade student can read  not the first priority of the MCSD.. No testing improvements can be expected if students cannot read at their level, and if they are behind at the end of 3rd grade, there's little chance they'll ever catch up.

---
In a Letter to the L-E Editor today, one "yuppie" writes: "As a young professional in the area, I have a heart for healthy and sustainable growth in our community. This broad vision includes attracting and retaining talent. * One deterrent continually identified, from residents and visitors, is our inefficient property tax system. We place a huge "unwelcoming" tax on new home buyers. 75% of homeowners subsidize the 25% with higher and disproportionate property taxes for the first 14 years they own their homes. The freeze is essentially a Ponzi scheme that takes 14 years to reap the benefits! *  Bottom line: We are placing a huge, unnecessary tax burden on new homeowners, and they are buying elsewhere because of it." -- Well, in lieu of a report showing Columbus grew 5.9% between 2010 (when TomLYINGson became mayor) and 2015, so where is this yuppies argument? To boot, housing property taxes will not only NOT go down, they are guaranteed to go UP for all new buyers, and yes, as soon as a suit is settled in court, the writer will lose his/her "freeze" as well. Seems like the mayor has served up her best Kool Aid to her friends.

has a better argument against the millage rate he/she is paying.. The millage rate on such property is 48.24 versus   the millage rate of 41,25 of another owner in the same condo building downtown

Online headline: "Golf legend Arnold Palmer dies at 87" -- Forever live the king! What memories I have to reflect on forever,, but the most unforgettable one was in 1963.. Dad took me and a friend to East Lake in Atlanta for the Ryder Cup matches. Wish I still had the hat he autographed as I stood dumbfounded in his presence. Arnie was the "Ted Williams" of golf. I still have my 1957 Washington Senators scorebook Ted Williams signed.

---
I cannot put this any more succinct than this fellow BCer and retired local quasi-government icon:

Like your tax freeze? You can keep it!
Like your doctor? You can keep it!
Want premiums to go down? Support OBama Care!
Want your taxes to go down? Support the thaw!

Does any of this sound familiar? The Mayor, like Obama, has been a liberal democrat all her adult life.  Spend and build bigger government at the expense of tax payers.

---
My dad use to talk about how he was mesmerized by my mom's "doe eyes". I guess Bill Clinton was mesmerized by Hellary's "dough eyes".

---
Here's a question that should be asked our legislative delegation "If a county wanted to set up a new property tax system where people who already owned their homes would be frozen at this point and new buyers would not, would such a law get out of committee?"

---
It's sorta like pouring salt into a wound to see any W.C. Bradley Company executives/owners supporting the "THAW' initiative based on stagnant job growth since W.C. Bradley Co. sent it's grill manufacturing jobs overseas to China.

---
Hope the local GOP pulls the welcome mat out from under Pezold's feet. Remember him swearing he was voting to put the THAW initiative because he thought he should have a chance to vote on it? That's a far cry from being a sponsoring supporter of it.

---
Hey..put "Sully" on your spouse-date to-do list...

Online story: "Police pleaded with the public for help identifying a gunman who fled after killing four women and a man at a Washington state mall Friday night. * As authorities determine a motive, they said Saturday that there was no immediate evidence the attack was terror-related." -- "no immediate evidence the attack was terror related"? Yeah.. tell that to the victims' families!

Update..Shooter caught/named: one Arcan Cetin — an immigrant from Turkey — is a legal permanent resident of the United States and lives in Oak Harbor, according to police. He was arrested in Island County last year on a case of simple assault. Islam is the largest religion in Turkey according to the state, with 99.8% of the population being automatically registered by the state as Muslim, for anyone whose parents are not of any other officially recognized religion. -- Yeah, tell me again there's no link to Islamic terrorism .

From the "if we can't help Hellary, then we must make Trump seem equally bad" department - L-E "headline: "Clinton, Trump look to overcome weaknesses on debate stage" -- Good grief.. is the L-E trying to make it look like Trump has as bad a past as Hellary? Name me one successful business venture .. for that matter .. a successful political outcome... that has Hellary's name on it...

---
Hellary trying to get a "stand in" to "play" Trump in a mock debate is another example of her lack of good judgement.. Trump is unique.. and to coach someone to emulate Trump is an effort in futility and a waste of time and energy.. none of the traits we need in a president.

L-E story: "The Sweet Home Cafe is the main dining area of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum for African American History and Culture. The executive chef, Jerome Grant, said the food served will also tell a story of the African-American experience. * The Agricultural South station features what is considered traditional soul food: chicken and waffles, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, barbecue chicken and candied yams. " -- Talk about perpetrating stereotypical images... remember how mainscream media excoriated Fuzzy Zoeller  for joking that when Tiger Woods' "Masters' Winners" entree would be "Fried Chicken and Collard Greens"?

Now I know what I'll order when I visit.. Fried Chicken and Collard Greens! Yum!

From the "let's pistol-whip Sheriff Darr" department - L-E story: Council Agenda: "Authorizing and directing the internal auditor of the Consolidated Government to conduct a special audit of the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office in order to assure that the financial interests of the CCG are protected. (Councilor Glenn Davis)"  -- Excuse me, but why wasn't such an audit performed before Mayor TomLYINGson started her attack on Sheriff Darr's budget? Doing so probably would have vindicated Darr, and saved Columbus taxpayers 100s of thousands of dollars that have been spent on legal buddies of the mayor. An, of course.. the eklection being less than 6 weeks away would have nothing to do with the timing.. Shame on Glenn Davis for being TomLYINGson's "dupe".

From the "desperation archives of liberalism" department - Online headline: "Clinton expected to win first debate as her lead narrows" -- Have you seen the predicted numbers network wonks are making for the expected viewers? 100,000,000 plus... we're talking numbers that swamp the Superbowl!  Let me tell you, it won't be Hellary supporters bringing these kinds of figures to the event.

From the "events KaeperPrick wasn't invited" department: The National Museum of African-American Museum of History and Culture had it's opening ceremony on Saturday. This is why he rightfully wasn't invited:

Why do we LET our mayor/council try to be business operators...I'm talking about the Aquatic Center. Why is it open on week day mornings when people are working and kids are are in school, but closed on Sunday afternoons when whole families could enjoy it.

FRom the "Hellary feels she can "bait" Trump into panic" department - Online story: "Responding to news Clinton-allied billionaire Mark Cuban would be attending the debate at the invite of her campaign, Trump posted "If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him!" to Twitter." -- Hellary and company "took the bait" and pretty much choked on it.. and later Trump's crew added.. "just kidding". Does Trump know how to "one-up" and disarm a situation!

---
Online headline/story: "Clinton is winning upper income voters *  A new poll from Bloomberg Politics shows Hillary Clinton besting Trump among voters with annual household incomes of $100,000 or more by a margin of 46 to 42 percent." -- Other than it's a "BLOOMBERG Poll", what does it say to middle and low income voters about who has their backs?

One of the activists to "Thaw the Freeze" built a huge new home on his wife's historic property which was assessed at $1.8 MILLION..He fought it in court and the assessed value was dropped $600K to $1.2 MILLION saving thousands of dollars per year in property taxes...and now he wants everybody else to lose their protection, as most people don't have the resources to hire a team of lawyers.

Online headline/story: "Mexico hit by surge of 5K Haitian, African and Asian migrants on their way to the U.S. *  Mexico's National Immigration Institute said the migrants entered the country between Sept. 21 and 23. It did not break them down according to country of origin, but recent trends suggest the majority are likely from Haiti. *  The institute said that none of these Haitian, African or Asian migrants have requested permission to stay in Mexico. "Up to this moment, the institute has not received any requests from these foreigners for refuge, asylum or regularization, because they have expressed that their desire is to reach the United States."

The migrants cannot be sent back to their home countries, so Mexico gives them 20-day temporary visas so they can cross the country and get to the U.S. It said the Africans came mainly from the Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan and Nigeria." -- Guess the Mexican government is practicing its "matador" moves as it waves them through with a red cape! Seriously, who can not want a proper wall built on our Southern border when Mexico makes no effort to accommodate refugee needs?  To boot, the trek from Guatemala to San Diego is over 2,500 miles and Mexico "generously" gives them a 20-day temporary visa.. We ain't, Trump ain't .. the bad guy in this picture.

L-E's "Thought for Today": “The world cares very little about what a man or woman knows; it is what the man or woman is able to do.” — Booker T. Washington, American educator and author (1856-1915). -- Hmmm.. Trump 1, Hellary 0..

I do believe that Rory McIlroy had  "a moment" yesterday.. faced with needing at least a birdie, possibly an eagle to tie/win the FedEx Cup Championship, despite being in a bad lie and other less than favorable conditions to go for the green on his second shot over water to the par-5 18th, McIlroy pulled out a utility wood and gave it a go like Phil Mickelson.. Rory just became a crowd favorite for the first time in his career.

Online story: "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama on Friday vetoed legislation allowing families of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia, a move expected to prompt the U.S. Congress to overturn his decision with a rare veto override, the first of his presidency. * Obama said the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act would hurt U.S. national security. " -- "would hurt U.S. National Security"? This coming from ZERO-bama.. the man who bowed to the Kong of Saudi Arabia.. the man who flinched when Syria's ASSwad kicked "the line drawn in the sand" into his face,  the man who releases KNOWN terrorists from GITMO, and the man who wants to bring in 100s of thousands of jihadist into our country under the premise they are "refugees".

Online headline: "Officials missed bombing suspect's big red flag in 2010 * A year before he became a U.S. citizen, the man accused of setting bombs in N.Y. and N.J. published suspicious posts on social media that were never vetted." -- Must have been the same FBI investigated Hellary and didn't make any charges.

Soapbox Moment: About the "THAW the FREEZE" referendum on ballot in Columbus this November.

The US Supreme Court upheld the "tax freeze" because, and only because, it applied to EVERY homeowner EQUALLY.

No court will support the "grandfathered freeze" because new homeowners will not get a "freeze", and therefore will be discriminated against.

From the "oxymoronic headlines/story" department: "Conservative newspaper endorses Clinton after 100 years of backing Republicans * The editorial board wrote, "Our country needs calm, thoughtful leadership to deal with the challenges we face at home and abroad. This is "calm, thoughtful leadership"?

Gunsmoke"? How can any list of great TV not have these 3 classics in the Top 20?

From the "killing  an ant with a baseball bat" department: "Online headline" "NFL plans to be stricter with one aspect of the gameThere are a lot of causes for concern in football, especially when talking about helmet hits and concussions, but this area is apparently also out of control." -- Good grief.. the NFL is talking about "touchdown dances in the end zone"! All the NFL needs to do is put in the TV contracts that the cameras cannot linger on post-TD "moves"  following TDs The NFL should also clamp down on TV cameras from zooming/focusing in on post-tackle "strutting".

---
Online headline/story: "Chicago Mayor Emanuel unveils 3-part plan to curb bloody violence, pleads for support * Emanuel’s plan is comprised of enforcement, investment and prevention. *  The enforcement part of the plan includes adding 970 new police officers to the force, promoting hundreds of police officers familiar with the streets to sergeants and lieutenants, seeking more federal help to assist in crime-fighting and supporting a bill that would ensure repeat gun offenders receive the strongest sentencing. * Emanuel pleaded for Chicago to support its police." -- Hmmm.. unless Emanuel pushes for more death sentences for gun crimes with set appeal times, none of this will work.. especially when ZERO-bama is letting drug criminals out early ..

---
Record numbers of viewers are predicted to watch the Monday Night Debate between Trump and Hellary.. one such prediction is for over 100,000,000 viewers.. Wow.. imagine 100,000,000 viewers not watching the NFL.. and way more than most will be Trump supporters.

---
Will someone ask if Mayor TomLYINGson if she will guarantee that if the referendum passes, but a law suit court decision strips grandfathered "freezes" ... that she will personally  lead the charge on a new law that makes everyone's assessments frozen again.

---
Interesting....no DISTURBING! Did you hear that 70%+ of the protesters arrested in the Charlotte, NC riots were from out-of-state..that just confirms that the rioting and looting was organized to make sure the results were as the Democrats wanted them to look like.

---
You know, if I was a police officer and was giving orders to a person with a gun in his/her hand or in an unknown possibility, and said person was refusing to comply with my basic commands , I do believe my senses of self-preservation, my desire to go home to my family after work would be my first thoughts. I also believe that as a police officer, seeing a person comply with my basic commands would alleviate most of the tension, and the probability of a shooting situation pretty much would much dissipate....but, I would still remain alert to a changing situation... my wife and family... and partners in blue would be depending on me.

---
A Hellary spinmeister on Fox said she was looking for Hellary not to be something she's not during Monday's debate.. Oh, guess we won't have to worry about her trying to look/be honest and truthful..... but we already know that.

---
Hellary's "plan" to rape billionaires' estates to the tune of 65% is a smoke & mirror plan to evoke class envy. First, billionaires already have tax lawyers figuring out various trust options, and new laws to get passed to cover any missing links. Secondly, it's totally destructive to take funds that success has created out of the private economy and spend it on non-revenue producing programs and which is what would happen. Thirdly, the Clintons have already covered their arses via the multiple foundations they have created.

---
Trump just put the "spotlight in Hellary's eyes". His spokespeople just threw out that Trump hopes Hellary goes long on her answers as she tends to be self-destructive once she ends her memorized response and begins rambles on her own.

---
Hmmm.. it's somewhat ironic.. we know how a "spotlight" in the eyes of a doe or buck more or less paralyzes them.. same goes for Hellary when you shine a spoltlight on her foundation "bucks" or into her "dough-eyes".

It's amazing that the liberal media is at a loss in Charlotte as to why the rioters are turning on them too. What's happened is that mainscream media has "fed" this attitude so long, and cannot sustain it any longer, so they are being turned on by the monster it created.

---
As we look at the outbreak of turmoil in Charlotte, you have to wonder why mainscream media seems to yawn about the constant chaos on the streets of Chicago. Since ZERO-bama has taken office, there have been over 3,700 homicides in Chicago... that's nearly 25% more people killed than in New York on 9-11-01.  I can only surmise that it's so commonplace in Chicago that it's just accepted... Sad....

On a local note:

There is a referendum issue  being forced upon  the community by a less than forthcoming mayor. It involves repealing a GA Constitutional Amendment that protects all... ALL homeowners from tax and spend politicians. There is a movement (disclosure: I am part of it) to educate the local homeowners about the certain loss of such despite the mayors "promise". Here is a letter drafted by the committee leading the defense of the existing Amendment.

CITIZENS TO KEEP THE FREEZE
P.O. BOX 6815  *  COLUMBUS, GA  31917
September 12, 2016

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

As you prepare to cast your ballot in this election, please notice the last item on the two-page ballot.  That question is about the tax freeze that all homeowners in Muscogee County have had since 1982.  If you want to keep the freeze as it is now, a vote of NO is the only safe vote.

Some leaders are trying to abolish the freeze.  That effort is focused on two beliefs.  Some, whose taxes are too high, believe that their taxes will go down.  Others, who want taxes not to rise, believe they will be “grandfathered in” and thus their tax freeze will be safe.  Most likely, neither of those beliefs will prove to be true.

We are actually voting on whether to approve House Bill 1104.  It includes nothing about lower taxes. No promises have been made to lower taxes.  We are not voting on lower millage rates or lower taxes for anybody.  There is no written plan to lower taxes---just vague, general statements about a “fair” system. No new system is presented.  Homeowners should realize that nobody’s taxes are going down. This is about more money for the government, not less.

While the Mayor is promising that “if you have the freeze you will keep the freeze,” she will not have the power to keep that promise.  If the new proposal passes, the first home buyer after Jan. 1, 2017 will have standing to sue because he was denied the freeze, a benefit that earlier homebuyers have.  Once the issue is taken to Court, the Mayor will have lost her power to keep her promise.  The Courts will rule, and some highly competent lawyers believe the freeze will be gone for everybody.  This is true because the vote we are taking is actually a vote to repeal the Local Constitutional Amendment that provides our current tax freeze.  Once repealed, it cannot be re-instated.  Our current freeze was ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court in 2003.  The new plan will almost certainly end up in Court, and you could lose your freeze.  If you want to keep the tax freeze as it is now, please vote NO on the last item on the ballot.  It does not mention the words “tax freeze,” but that’s what it is about.

Sincerely,

Mary Sue Polleys, Secretary
Citizens to Keep the Freeze
Paid for by Citizens to Keep the Freeze, Charmaine Crabb & Tollie Strode, Co-Chairs   –    P.O. Box 6815, Columbus, GA  31917

My note: If you are a homeowner. or plan on buying a new or another home after January 1st of 2017, it will benefit you to not only vote "NO", but to send in a donation to the "Citizens to Keep the Freeze"  to help spread the word..a donation now, and your "NO" vote on November 8th can save you $1,000s in future taxes.over the years.

---
You know if Mayor TomLYINGson's premise were anywhere close to truthful, her "Thaw the Freeze" information site/page on FaceBook would be open for discussion by all Columbus citizens.. but it's not.. People, including myself, are systematically blocked from commentary on the propaganda they emit.   There's should be only one reason to block any Columbusite, abd that would be for anyone using inappropriate/foul language, but that's not what's happening.. unless.. of course, "the truth" is inappropriate/foul language.

---
Speaking of Mayor TomLYINGson promises: Remember in 2014 when Mayor TomLYINGson told us the River Road roundabout would start construction in the summer just after the end of May election? Just another lie, only now when it starts, the recent memorial spot for the Northside student will be destroyed.

---
I'm willing ti give Dr Lewis a chance to improve the school system, but I still want te MCSB to be in charge.. What I do not understand is why normally sane community leaders have elevated Lewis to a godlike status..He's been here but three years and has yet to produce notable results.

---
At this moment in time, why doesn't ZERO-bama direct the DOJ to stand forward and do a campaign advocating criminals to listen to and obey police orders when caught , and see how many needless death are prevented?

---
Speaking of local taxes, I went to the Citizens Center on a tax issue yesterday, but once I got there realized that I forgot a needed document, so I went home, but it was not a wasted trip. Remember when Judy Thomas campaigned on removing the prime "Reserved for City Department Heads" reserved parking spaces.. then flip-flopped on it after the election and gave those "perk spaces" back to them? That was bad enough, but yesterday, I noted it is even worse. IT's bad enough that the public has to drive by those spaces, but when one of the department heads lives in Alabama and is getting paid with our tax dollars but doesn't contribute her property tax dollars to our government is wrong! Why does she get preferential parking at out expense!

---
MCSB chair Rob Varner summed up the fiasco in the recent firing/resignation personnel matter. Varner said, "It's a shame, seems like a talented person." You know, it was up to Superintendent Lewis to remove all doubt about his nominations for leadership jobs. Varner, as chair, should have KNOWN the candidate was squeaky clean before he brought the ussue to the floor. You know, I'd really be PO's if I were Rob Varner for being "hung out to dry" by the person I was rubber stamping things for.

From the "politics produces strange bedfellows" department - Online headline/story: " Kasim Reed, John Kasich prepare for a post-election trade fight *  Last week, those preoccupied by the sight of Donald Trump finally bestowing citizenship on a sitting U.S. president missed something far more important happening only a few D.C. blocks away: Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Ohio Gov. John Kasich in a White House press conference, volunteering to push through Barack Obama’s final objective — a 12-country trade pact between the Americas and Asia. *  After Nov. 8, Reed and Kasich will become prominent members of “the forlorn hope” who will take on the anti-trade defenses erected by both Trump and Hillary Clinton in this misbegotten presidential campaign. *  But also consider the strangeness of the situation: Kasich, the GOP governor of a state without which no Republican has ever won the presidency, has placed himself directly astride Trump’s protectionist solutions for a broken Rust Belt economy. * Reed, in turn, is contradicting not just Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who decided to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership after she supported it, but also Jim Barksdale, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate. Barksdale has made “bad trade deals” the centerpiece of his campaign against Republican incumbent Johnny Isakson." --  Vote Trump.. maybe we'll get video of Reed and Kasich in bed together..

---
You know, Kasich's actions really underlines the anti-Trump stances of Romney. McCain, and Graham as pure RINOism.

---
Online story: "U.S. Rep. John Lewis called on the Obama administration to appoint election monitors in Georgia, Florida and potentially other states across the South in order to protect against unfair practices at the ballot box." -- Hmmm.. you know, I'd feel better if there were trained professional overseeing the ballot boxes, but not any appointed by ZERO-bama.. I would want to have any groups appointed to be appointed by the US Supreme Court rather than the President or Congress since the appointed Supreme Court doesn't have a dog in the fight.

---

L-E story: "Charlotte police refused under mounting pressure Thursday to release video that could resolve wildly different accounts of the shooting of a black man, as the National Guard arrived to try to head off a third night of violence in this city on edge." --  Would I like to see the videos... yes... would showing the videos actually resolve the situation.. NO.!  Last night,  I watched live interviews of protesters being asked about the protester being shot while in the middle of a protest group Wednesday night.. Two random subjects vowed the protester was shot by the police despite what ordinary common sense and logical deductions would dictate.. one of them even said a friend of a friend witnessed it and said it was a cop.  people hear what they want to hear, and if it doesn't fit their preconceived.. no DESIRED results, they just make it up..

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Tuesday’s “Tax Scam” letter proves why Columbus needs to lift the freeze. We have one of the highest tax rates because that is the only way CCG and MCSD can survive, thanks to the freeze.: -- Hmmm.. and this person has knowledge and proof that Mayor TomLYINGson has millage rate reductions on her mind? KoolAid must be taken off the menu!

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Unemployment is at 4.9%, lowest since Oct 2007; median income is up 5.2% since 2014, biggest improvement ever; and poverty rate has dropped 1.2 percentage points. And you worry about 100,000 refugees taking our jobs? -- Talk about a KoolAid overdose.. first "unemployment" is not 4.9%.. at best, 4.9% is the figure only of those unemployed who are not seeking work. Secondly, 100,000 refugees  coming in without jobs just screwed up the first figure error of this lamo.

---
L-E headline: "Jails are a costly psychiatric solution * BY ALVA JAMES-JOHNSON"  a worthwhile read ( http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODN/LedgerEnquirer/default.aspx ) -- Good article.. but what's new? What is a plausible solution? Incarceration seems to be necessary to keep the public safer, yet the situation dictates more personal responsibility to the individual and such family. Too often, problems are known/recognized at early ages, but either ignored or accepted as a trait of the individual.. Once again.. it's not a problem government can.. or should, solve... it's a societal one.

What out is going on.in Charlotte, NC.. A police officer, confronted by a man armed with a gun who would not drop it as ordered was killed. The next night, looters took to the streets, and yesterday morning, so called black 'leaders' were calling for a racist boycott of white businesses. If there was a boycott that needed to be called for, it would a boycott of looting and arson.

---
Curious.. have any of the black "leaders" (qualifier: mainscream media and Democrat Party approved black "leaders")  been advocates of "cooperating" with the police officers when asked to do something? Per the qualifier, Herman Cain, and Ben Carson do not count.

---
I tell you what, after watching last night's peaceful demonstration in Charlotte turn into a mob-ruled looting riot without provocation, it's hard to have any sympathy.

---
For the voters who haven't decided about whether to vote for Trump or Hellary because of health issues then they should consider the VP choices, and if anyone compares the readiness of Pence and Kaint to take over the Oval Office, Pence wins by a landslide.

---
Hellary says we need tougher gun laws so people on the "no fly" can't buy guns.. Excuse me, but if unvetted aliens were denied access, and criminal aliens were deported immediately, that wouldn't be an excuse Hellary could use to blame for her goal to eliminate our right to own and bear arms.

---
The fact that Hellary is practicing for 2 aspects of Donald Trump in the upcoming debate means that she doesn't know herself very well, and  is reason enough to deem her not fit to be president. I want my president to exude confidence, so our allies and enemies will know what's in store when they are tempted to undermine the best interests of America's future!

---
Again, You know, why would Hellary make it known she is practicing with 2 different aspects she could face with Trump in the debates? To me it says she isn't consistent nor confident in her abilities to make good decisions. Of course, when you are a two-faced liar, you have to have an alternate plan.

---
There are two issues in the "Thaw" referendum. You can vote "YES", and only if the courts uphold it will you get to keep your "freeze", but you also deny the people who eventually buy your home the same blessing. Or, you can vote "NO", and guarantee your tax freeze, and whomever buys it for their family in the future will get it also.

---
You know, demanding police officers be overly restrained in their actions when faced by an armed or possibly armed suspect will only result in deaths of more police officers and more bystanders. This is even worse than the rules of engagement our soldiers have in combat areas. This is why thugs ignore/disrespect police officers, and why terrorists don't respect our president.

---
Online headline: "Fox News scolds Sean Hannity for Pro-Trump video, will still air his town hall with candidate " -- Good grief.. then when will Fox scold Alan Colmes and Juan Williams for their unabashed defense of Hellary's lies and scandals?

---
Online headline: "Gary Johnson says 2016 will be his last presidential campaign" -- Gary who?

---
From the "Hellary forgot to add sleeping pills to her "free" KoolAid" department - Online headline/story: "Scarborough grills Clinton campaign chief: 'What are you here for if you can't answer basic questions?' * Mike Barnicle and Willie Geist grilled Mook on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" about what Clinton would do about the Syrian civil war, which has dragged on for five years with no end in sight. * Toward the end of the questioning, host Joe Scarborough jumped in and confronted Mook, saying, "We love you, buddy, but what are you here for if you can't answer basic questions?" -- Yes! Though it's more of a "won't answer" than a "can't answer" situation. Now if we can get Scarborough to do the same to Hellary, herself, plus ZERO-bama and Josh Earnest!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Overnight Bombardment On Aleppo Kills Dozens Of Syrians" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought HiffPOOPOO was reminding us of Gary Who's "Aleppo what?" bomb last week.

---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Transportation director resigns day after he was hired * School board chairman Rob Varner said he was told Wednesday John Lyles resigned because he “was not happy about the way he was treated by a couple of board members and the media.” -- Good grief.. Lewis must have actually looked at the guy's resume'. and even with Common CRAP Math, nothing added up..

---
Guess we should give Nancy Pelosi credit for the above hiring snafu.. liberals took her literally about passing things before reading the paperwork.

---
L-E headline: "Taylor County school board fires superintendent" -- Hmmm.. and not too long ago, the Superintendent across the river was fired.. hmmm, history does confirm the "rule of 3s" in similar events...

---

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "It is amazing how many times folks lie about the “Thaw.” Current homeowners will remain under the freeze until the property changes hands." -- One more lie coming from the TomLYINGson camp..

Online headline/story: "Trump calls first US debate moderator a Democrat; records show otherwise *
Republican Donald Trump may have gotten it wrong when he said the moderator of the first U.S. presidential debate next week between him and his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, is a Democrat. * NBC's Lester Holt, who will moderate the debate on Monday, is registered as a Republican, according to voter information on the New York State Board of Elections website. " -- Good grief... Lindsay Graham.. Jeb Bush.. are listed as Republicans.. but performances show otherwise.. Heck, Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson was A Republican, but we know otherwise.. Heck.. I am currently listed as a Democrat but that's only because I want to have a voice in the primaries so I can vote for the best Democrat in case they run unopposed in November. I'll believe Lester Holt is a Republican when he swears under oath that he voted for McCain and Romney in the past 2 elections.. and not until then...

---
Online headline: "Poll shows Clinton scandal still a huge issue for voters" -- Hmmm.. that poll must have been of normal people who were not "likely Democrat voters", because Hellary knows her base doesn't really care about her lying to them on anything... everything.

---
From the "this should settle it for independents/wishy-washy Republicans and thinking Democrats(well, there are a few)" department - Online headline: "Former GE CEO Jack Welch will vote for Donald Trump" -- Jack Welch was probably the best business person in the country when he ran GE.. Heck, I sold my stock in GE, and stopped buying anything GE .. including light bulbs, when Welch retired.

---
From the "caught commie-RED-Handed" department - Online headline/story: "CNN incorrectly reports Donald Trump advocating for 'racial profiling' * Donald Trump advocated for police to do more "profiling" during an appearance on Fox News Channel on Monday, and rival network CNN falsely added the word "racial" when reporting his quotes. * (Trump actually said) "Our local police — they know who a lot of these people are. They are afraid to do anything about it because they don't want to be accused of profiling," --  "CNN incorrectly reports"? INTENTIONALLY is more like it! What's even sadder is more people are learning about how CNN "alters the truth" on other news sources and blogs   than actually saw/heard the CNN broadcast.

---
There are stories out speculating Trump's tactics during the debate... good grief,, does anyone actually believe that Trump would tip his hand on his tactics after months of chastising ZERO-bama for always revealing to the jihadists what he's going to do and when? No.. Hellary won't know what hit her.. well... actually she will... it's just that it'll be the TRUTH, and that always is the hardest thing she has to deal with.

---
Child-impersonator Mark Cuban said, ""Mike Pence is on there talking about charity and how Donald Trump is so charitable and how he gives millions to charity," Cuban said. "And all you have to do is ask any of the charities he's donated to. That should've been the easiest softball in the world based on what the [Washington] Post has written. Nothing! Right?" -- Hey, Mark,,, why don't you ask the Clintons which charities they have donated to? Why.. because we already know... themselves!

---
Online headline: "Clinton slams Wells Fargo's 'outrageous behavior'" -- Hmmm.. first I was going to ask if Hellary was sending back any speech fees she received from Wells Fargo, but after a little research, it appears that Wells Fargo was about the ONLY bank that didn't pay her.. this probably explains why she's going after WF now.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Why President Obama Has Difficulty Garnering Respect Internationally" -- Good grief.. it's about time HuffPOOPOO "got it".. the rest of the world knew from the git-go when ZERO-bama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for something he didn't do, and then went on his "Apology Tour". Even I thought the HuffPOOPOO might catch on following ZERO-bama's famous failure to step up when Syria's ASSwad laughed at the "line in the sand" ZERO-bama "drew".

---
I'm pissed off! That Islamic jihadist who planted bombs in NYC and NJ is recovering, at taxpayer expense, in a hospital (rather than a terrorist compound), and has been given a figure he can post for bond! The NJ police should have shot to kill once he opened fire on them, and should he be treated as a terrorist, not a common criminal!

---
Hellary stayed in NYC to talk with world leaders yesterday morning, hoping to show that world leaders like her...of course they like her, they'd love having another president who will let them run over her.

---
Listening to ZERO-bama address world leaders in NYC made it seem like he actually believes he's created Utopia. Maybe Webster needs to.put his.picture as the example of "Delusional".

---
ZERO-bama also said: "And meanwhile, global capital is too often unaccountable — nearly $8 trillion stashed away in tax havens, a shadow banking system that grows beyond the reach of effective oversight." -- Hmmm guess that means countries that "over tax" industry.. (just the US?) have survived so what it demonstrates is that government is just greedy, yet the world gor=es on without the input of taxes on those "$8 TRILLION. Of course what he didn't say is that his administration has created more than that $8 TRILLION in additional NATIONAL DEBT since he took office!

---
Later he said, "So how do we fix this imbalance? We cannot unwind integration any more than we can stuff technology back into a box. Nor can we look to failed models of the past. " -- "nor can we look to failed models of the past"? Good grief.. all ZERO-bama's ideas are from "failed models".. socialism/communism, Saul Alinski/Bill Ayers,  and LBJ's "Great Society/War on Poverty"!

---
And finally, ZERO-bama said, "the United States worked with many nations to curb the excesses of capitalism — not to punish wealth, but to prevent repeated crises that can destroy it. That’s why we’ve worked with other nations to create higher and clearer standards for banking and taxation — because a society that asks less of oligarchs than ordinary citizens will rot from within." -- "asks less of oligarchs than ordinary citizens"?  Good grief..if ZERO-bama actually felt this, he'd fire Josh Earnest, after he had fired Jay Carney and Robert Gibbs, and he'd have already tried and convicted Hellary! (ZERO-bama would get off by pleading the 5th Amendment, then pardoning himself before he leaves office)

---
Following the FBI handling of the pre-Bomber Brothers act of terrorism, and the latest act in NYC/NJ, plus the lack of effort with Hellary, I want a new FBI administration and attitude. The only way to get that is by electing Trump. Vote Trump!

---
From the "run that by me again" department - Over 1,800 (Homeland Security is admitting to) illegal aliens set for deportation, have been given citizenship when they used fake names and info . And ZERO-bama's DOJ/Appeals Court judges say states don't have a right to demand proof of citizenship to register and vote? It's time for every state to invoke its 10th Amendment rights!

---
Hellary says she is the only candidate that has taken jihadis off the battlefields..
yeah, she has..unfortunately she brought them home with her.

---
The FBI says it investigated Rahami and found nothing out of the ordinary... yeah? What the FBI didn't say is Rahami is like all the others with jihadist connections, and that seems normal to the FBI.

---
Saw a folk art sign at Dinglewood Pharmacy when my bride and I went to lunch there yesterday..it was rather crude political art.. It read, "Beware of dog, it only bites Republicans". I thought it needed clarification, and if I had a Sharpie with me, I would have added, the dog's a bitch, and named Hellary.

From the "how about some clear info, L-E" department -- L-E story: "Students recipients of the REACH Scholarship, a need-based mentorship and scholarship program initiated by Gov. Nathan Deal, sign contracts Tuesday at the award ceremony at Muscogee County Public Education Center. * When she moved to the United States from Mexico five years ago as a third-grader, Alexsandra Casanova-Chavez couldn’t speak English, and the thought of going to college seemed to be an elusive goal. * Now an eighth-grader at Eddy Middle School, she speaks fluent English and is on track toward a college education. And thanks to a state program called REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen), she is one of eight Muscogee County School District eighth-graders who won’t have to worry about affording college if they keep meeting high standards." -- First, congratulations to Miss Alexsandra Casanova-Chavez  and her parents.. she/they have escaped the norm in the MCSD.. but... BUT. is the Casanova-Chavez  family eligible.. There seems to be a need to know whether the family is of US citizenship or legally on track to become.. if not, then there may be.. no would be a misuse of GA tax dollars. Hey, if the Casanova-Chavez   were from Phenix City, they would not be eligible unless they were paying the out-of-state fees (which I believe are over $9,000.00 annually, and that would seemingly make her ineligible for the "with financial need" portion of the qualifications).

---
L-E headline/story: "Drew leaving position as CSU police chief * (Drew said) "We have very much loved living in Columbus,” he said. “But Emory came at me pretty hard.” * In 2015, Drew’s position paid $101,414, according to the Open Georgia website that includes salary information on state employees. His title with the university is assistant vice president for campus safety." -- Good grief, no wonder our children's college tuition and fees are so outlandishly high! Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren's current salary is $107,000.00.. To me, if I'd been Emory, I would have gone after Ricky Boren instead of Drew and got more experience for probably less money!

---
The above abuse of GA citizens' money for education reminds me of a question I asked a couple of years ago when it was reported that Columbus Technical College had purchased new "pursuit vehicles", and I asked "why does Columbus Tech security need "pursuit vehicles"? To me, they should do well with golf carts and a portable battery  jump box.

---
L-E story: "In a bid to “Thaw the Freeze,” Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson said it is a regressive tax and slows growth while supporter Nadine Moore said it prevents the city from taxing people out their homes." -- "Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson said it is a regressive tax "? Does anyone need to know anything else why I refer to the mayor as "Mayor TomLYINGson"? Sales taxes, which treat every dollar spent the same no matter if a person has but one in his/her wallet or thousands available, are regressive, and  she has no problem supporting all of those...

Seniors, on fixed or limited income, should be the most diligent in calling her out on her claim that she can guarantee their "freeze" will be guaranteed. TomLYINGson has no say in what the courts will certainly rule within a year following if the "freeze" Constitutional Amendment is repealed.

---
What is it with the "together 2016/ www.buildingabettercolumbus.com" crowd? Today's ad in the L-E excessively praises Dr Lewis. Excuse me, but I think a Superintendent of the MCSD who has been on the job but three years and has no definitive "victories" should wait before "public exaltation"  begins.

---

L-E headline: "School board approves transportation director" -- Well 5 (enough to pass it) rubber stamped a Lewis recommendation.. two were absent and our heroes, Thomas amd Myers abstained for the correct reasons.. board members were not allowed to ask questions about questionable items on the resume'. There are no local businesses that would have hired any applicant that had as many discrepancies on his/her resume' as Lyles work history was reported by MCSD.

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Sales taxes are the most regressive taxes that can be levied.. they hit all consumers equally, so even the minimum wage earner pays as much as the wealthiest on any item that's taxed. Did you know that there are 5 states that have no sales taxes? Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. Georgia has 4% sales tax...my city, Columbus, GA has an additional 4% in separate Local Option and Special Local Option sales taxes. Even when the state of GA excludes taxes on food and medicine, our city still imposes those 4% in taxes. Our mayor, tells us we don't pay enough in property taxes so she's trying to remove a local tax freeze that fixes property taxes at the time of purchase that every home buyer has been given since 1982. She calls that progress. I call her Mayor TomLYINGson.

---
Online story: "H&M has reportedly pulled all of its plus-size clothing from stores in New York City. * A representative for the popular retail chain told Revelist the company has expanded its product line to include home goods and beauty supplies, so 11 stores in the Big Apple no longer have room for plus-size clothing." -- Hmmm.. guess H&M has seen Hellary in Armani + and Ralph Lauren + and don't want her to be seen campaigning in NYC in its clothing...

---
Online headline/story: "Scientists warn solar storm could wreak havoc in US * If such a blast strikes Earth, the wave of particles can bend and snap the magnetic field lines of our planet, trigger powerful geomagnetic storms, and randomly induce electrical currents throughout the world." -- Quick.. Where's Algore! Hey, SpaceX, send Algore to the sun to stop this!  One way ticket, of course.

---
Online headline: "US city voted the most affordable for a fun getaway * With cost-friendly hotels, cheap sightseeing and delicious dining options at a great value, this major city scored with travelers on a budget." -- Wow.. it's our own Savannah, GA. How come it isn't Columbus? What's Savannah got that we don't.. Hmmm.. maybe it's what Columbus has the Savannah doesn't.... Mayor TomLYINGson...

---
Online headline: "Trump suggests controversial move following bombings" -- Good grief.. look what has happened since political correctness STOPPED common sense logic of profiling... Look at any major US city and see the results of street crimes since our police officers have been handcuffed.

---
With the revelation that the slashing in MN, and the bombings in NYC & NJ are acts of Islamic jihadists should dictate our government should drop the political correctness stance and go back to selective profiling...except that if we start today, ZERO-bama's administration would be profiling patriots instead of jihadists. Remember laughinng at ZERO-bama's claim that "we are winninng the war"? Well, we aren't laughing now that we understand which side is his "we".

---
New Jersey needs to give its police officers more shooting training. That jihadist was captured... alive...Why? Since we can't use aggressive processes to elicit good information, so why not make sure he's killed if he challenges his arrest?

---
Online headline: "BREAKING: Hillary Holds Press Conference on NY Bombing, Blames it on Trump’s Rhetoric" -- Blaming it on Trump's rhetoric"? How about blaming it on lax enforcement of immigration laws!

---
With a tip of my Trump: "Make America Great Again" cap to a fellow BCer

The times are a changin'...or not..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
L-E headline: "Gov. Deal signs order prohibiting (gas price) gouging in Georgia" -- Good grief.. reminds me of the "WIN" (Whip Inflation Now) effort of President Ford back in the mid-70s..and it'll be inanely ineffective. Consumers best weapon is to remember which stations jacked up prices the most, and when the gas pipeline is reopened and prices normalize, then boycott the stations that "gouged" .
---
L-E story: "Columbus State University’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center is one of four sites in a partnership that has been awarded a $1.25 million NASA Museum Alliance Grant to teach high school students how to design and manufacture vehicles that could explore Mars. *  IMEET is part of the effort to land on Mars, which SpaceX chief executive officer Elon Musk predicted will happen by 2025, said CSU astronomy Shawn Cruzen, director of the Coca-Cola Space Science Center. * CSU’s $150,000 share of the grant will enable it to instruct 25 students and 15 teachers per year during the next three years in the Muscogee County School District." -- Good grief..while I am for encouraging our high school students to enter/expand their knowledge of science and technology, this excuse for a grant seems .. no .. IS pretty artificial.. with plans to complete an exploratory landing on Mars in 8 years or less, whatever the rover will be is already far along in design and probably being tested  as we speak.
---
L-E headline: "Columbus residents give input into state’s education plan" -- You know, there's only one way to improve the education system.. take the federal government out of it while making the local school board set and control the direction of the school system.. the best way to achieve this is to go back to an appointed school board. We should have 3 or 4 year terms for board members and an elected School Superintendent who is responsive to students' parents.
---
From the "well, so much for gender choice public bathrooms" department - L-E headline/story: "Man accused of secretly filming woman in Barnes & Noble bathroom *  After further investigation, Roberson learned that Bramlett was arrested twice before in connection with similar incidents. One of those incidents was reported to have happened in early April at the University of Georgia. * Police said they have yet to confirm whether Bramlett took any photos or video of the woman, but the victim’s statement and his criminal history were enough evidence to charge him. Judge Michael Cielinski ordered Bramlett held in the Muscogee County Jail under bonds totaling $10,500. * He was also barred from the Barnes & Noble for one year." -- What happened to "Strike 3!.. You're outta here!"? Perhaps a better punishment would be a mandated gender transformation surgical procedure... without anesthesia... and uploaded to You Tube "live".
---
From the "why doesn't the L-E have a headline proofreader anymore" department - "L-E headline: "For apathetic Dems, Obama offers himself as motivation" -- Good grief.. It should read, "For pathetic Dems, Obama offers himself as motivation".
---
Another from the "why doesn't the L-E have a headline proofreader anymore" department  - L-E "headLIE": "Immigrant wanted in NY-area bombings captured in shootout" -- "Immigrant"? The (_*_) is a radical Islamic jihadist who is now a citizen of the US. The NJ police need better gun training so these (_*_)s do not survive once hey open fire on a police officer.
---
From the "truth will set you free" department - L-E's "LOOKING BACK | Fifty years ago today September 20, 1966" feature: "Republican gubernatorial candidate Howard (Bo) Callaway, Republican gubernatorial candidate Howard (Bo) Callaway, Georgia’s lone GOP congressman, told 300 architects and engineers Monday the South is a stepchild of Washington and is not getting its fair share from the national government. He said the lack of a two-party system is the reason for the inadequacy. told 300 architects and engineers Monday the South is a stepchild of Washington and is not getting its fair share from the national government. He said the lack of a two-party system is the reason for the inadequacy." -- "Georgia’s lone GOP Congressperson"? Hmmm... 1966.. times of turmoil in the racial evolution era.. guess that means the rest of GA's Congressperson and Senators were DEMOCRATS! Oh, and Callaway lost the governorship, even though he captured the bulk of votes in a three way race, but was denied his victory in the GA House when the 188 Democrats (vs 17 Republicans) gave the governorship to Lester (Axe-handle) Maddox.
---
From the another "won't make the print edition "Letters to the Editor" section of the L-E" department: "You promoters of the Tax Thaw seem to be all fired up about new folks not having the "freeze", yet all of you will be keeping yours. This doesn't seem fair does it? How about your groups showing your commitment, plus all "Yes" voters voluntarily give up their tax freeze effective November 9th REGARDLESS of the outcome.
---
In spite of not watching any NFL games this year (week 2 just ended), it's hard not to know what's going on with the New England Patriots.. even without low-inflated footballs.. even without  Tom Brady in the line-up, the Patriots are 2 and O so far. What's the NFL and the other 31 teams excuse now?
---
L-E headline: "Hotel complex to include lofts, office, restaurants * Details of the AC Hotel in the 1200 block of Broadway emerged at the Uptown Facade Board meeting on Monday." -- Hmm.. and when will the Pezold Company start whining about the sale of property next top another of its planned hotels being sold to cheaply like the lot next to it's one across from the Trade & Convention Center?

You know, we do have to wonder if Mayor TomLYINGson will admit  that the Tax Freeze hasn't prevented the growth of the hospitality industry in Columbus?

Monday, September 19, 2016

HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "At least 29 people injured in explosion that shakes New York City  * Mayor Bill de Blasio said early indications were that blast was intentional.  * was being treated as a crime scene. *
But he said there was no evidence of a "credible and specific threat" to the city. "We do not see a link to terrorism," he added. " -- Good grief.. it was a BOMB! Not until you read deep inside the article do you see descriptions such as "found a pressure cooker nearby connected to a cell phone with wires attached" and "back of an SUV "totally blown out". Oh.. "Earlier on Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded near the route of a 5K race charity race in the beach town of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. No one was injured, but federal authorities are investigating the incident as possible terrorism." Mainscream media just will not mention jihadist attack.. period... in NYC,, NJ, for that matter, this close to the 1st debate.

---
Whoa.. another pipe bomb package was found in the Elizabeth, NJ train depot last night! Fortunately, 2 men saw the package in a waste can, and thinking it may have "value", took it out. Noticing wires coming out of it, they dropped it and called the police. Police took it and a robot tried to disarm it.. it exploded but fortunately, in a safe area.

---
Saturday, I went to a meeting of concerned home owners held at Carver Heights Presbyterian Church's Community Center. It was well organized, purposeful, and determined. Keep the Freeze transcends the political machine set to destroy the unity of the homeowners of Columbus. Take the time to read the information on Face Book. You know, if you want to give up the GA Constitutional guaranteed protection from higher taxes that the Democrats and developers want you to do, do be it, but make sure you understand the issue of whether you can keep your protected tax status while new buyers can't will be settled in court ..by a judge, and Mayor TomLYINGson's hollow promise won't matter.

---
Online headline: "China poised to become world's education leader * While the US leads all nations in educating international students, China is slowly catching up with the number of graduates rapidly growing." -- Did you see this... "the US leads all nations in educating international students"? Good grief.. why are our students in the MCSD not better educated!

---
HuffPOOPOO "headLIE": "Obama: Low Turnout By Black Voters Would Be 'A Personal Insult' -- "personal insult"? No.. more like disappointment in the last 8 years plus the thought of Hellary for 4 or more years.

---
I have yet to see the first Oregon uniform this season, but I feel pretty sure none will compete with those retro-40s LSU wore Saturday for the title of the worst uniform of the year.

---
Saturday, I went to a meeting of concerned home owners held at Carver Heights Presbyterian Church's Community Center. It was well organized, purposeful, and determined. "Keep the Freeze" transcends the political machine set to destroy the unity of the homeowners of Columbus. Take the time to read the information on Face Book. You know, if you want to give up your GA Constitutional guaranteed protection from higher taxes that the Democrats and developers want you to do, so be it, but make sure you understand the issue of whether you can keep your protected tax status while new buyers can't will be settled in court ..by a judge, and Mayor TomLYINGson's knowingly hollow promise won't matter.

---
Why would any parents who have made their home here, and raised their children here want to eliminate the tax freeze that made it possible? I'm voting "NO" so my children can raise my grandchildren here near me.

---
You know.. that good people donate to Trump's Foundation is a sign that they trust his judgement to do good with it . but look at the Clinton Foundations.. do we really think that is why despots give money to the Clintons?

---
Democrats..including Dinghy Harry Reid , are pointing at Trump as being te heaviest presidential candidate since Taft...wonder if he's seen Hellary's medical sheet? We know we can't ask Hellary because even honest women won't tell their correct weight.

---
Have you noticed how minimally Al Sharlatan and Jesse Jackson have been in the national news lately? Guess the Democrats don't want anymore negative exposure than what Hellary has provided on her own.

---
L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT * Trend emerges in changes at the top of city government * Since Mayor Teresa Tomlinson was elected, her administration has replaced 13 of 30 appointed director positions. Most of the hires have been local and most have been women. * BY MIKE OWEN * Tomlinson and City Manager Isaiah Hugley said that in the administration’s early years, still in the grip of the Great Recession, the city was able to hire people from outside that it might not otherwise have been able to attract." -- Hmmm.. guess the "tax freeze" didn't run off perspective job seekers...in fact, it probably looked real good to know that their taxes wouldn't go up each year knowing they would not be getting annual salary increases.

---
Instant repeat: "L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS CONSOLIDATED GOVERNMENT * Trend emerges in changes at the top of city government * Since Mayor Teresa Tomlinson was elected, her administration has replaced 13 of 30 appointed director positions. * Prior to that, Inspections and Codes Director Greg Coates, who was hired by this administration after the departure of Bill Duck, was subsequently dismissed for lack of sufficient credentials and replaced by John Hudgison. * Public Works Director Gary Stickles retired" -- Hmmm.. that flip-flop in the Inspections and Codes Directorship was not so simple.. first, Coates was promoted over a better qualified woman who subsequently retired  because of that, and the Stickles thing was tainted from the git-go as he was in charge of the landfill when millions of dollars in tipping fees were written off because of inadequate or missing paperwork and he got transferred/promoted. That, as the late  Paul Harvey would say, is the rest of the story...

---
L-E story: "Robert Wright felt immense pride and a touch of pain during a recent tour of the new National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall. *  As chairman of the blue-ribbon commission charged with planning the museum, Wright’s panel produced the 2003 report “The Time Has Come,” which laid out the administrative and creative vision for the $540 million (400,000 sq ft) facility." -- Congratulations, Dr. Wright! Hmmm A fabulous facility like this replete with it's grandeur presence and  historical treasures can be put together for $1,350.00 a square foot, yet our MCSD cannot have a metal building built on a concrete slab to be used as a wrestling/weight facility for less than $312.00 a square foot. Go figure... but please don't use Common CRAP Math!

---
I remember the times of "white lines" on buses.. my friends and I were so happy when the "line" disappeared. Until then, we were not allowed to sit on the back row of buses and press our faces against the rear window into weird presentations to the cars following.

---
I still want to know what's the real purpose of "Together 2016".. I know they have a website, but all I've seen the group do is  voraciously spend money on newspaper ads that must be keeping the L-E afloat. You know, the amount that obviously has been spent could have funded projects of real value.

---
Let's see, counting tonight's MNF game. there will have been 32 NFL games played this season, and noit one has been on a TV in my home..

---
You know.. if the NFL and the (_*_)s who are disrespecting our nation by kneeling because of what they claim is abusive treatment of blacks would show they are sincere in their convictions, it might make a difference.. Sadly when those (_*_)s take a knee, they are irreverent as well as disrespective.. Perhaps they complaints would be more understandable if they were praying for or country during the National Anthem.

---
You know, when ZERO-bama is out campaigning for Hellary, does he feel he's being the president of all Americans?

---
I don't won't another 4 years of our president bowing to foreign despots or turning a cheek every time it's slapped by 3rd World dictators. I want president despots and dictators are scared to upset.

---
Looks like Hellary has picked Casper Milquetoast. Even after the bombs in NY and NJ were linked, KAINT still tried to say Trump was overreactive. Well, I'm ready for leadership that doesn't roll it's eyes in political correctness.

---
NYPD Commissioner say he'll find out who planted the bombs and why . Who cares about 'why'...the only important thing is the bombs were planted  to ruin lives. Just find the (_*_)s and draw & quarter them!

---
NYC police officials are tight lipped about releasing any info about what they know about the bombing suspect(s). Seems they have figured out that it's better not to let the suspects know what they know. Guess the NYC officials have learned the public agrees with Trump about not letting your enemies know what you're doing or going to do.

--
Talking about the NYC and NJ bombings, Hellary said we have to wait and see what happened before making decisions...at least she didn't throw up some video as the cause .

---
Now early reports indicate that the bombs that exploded in NYC and NJ are linked. Hey Hellary, is that enough info?

---
Tim KAINT says it'll take the swapping of intelligence to stop ISIS terrorism. Well, that about eliminates any help from mainscream media and the Hellary camp.

---
We need Jack Nicholson interviewing Hellary! Can't you see Nicholson saying, "The truth? Hellary cannot tell or handle the truth"?

---
I'm not sure I'm comforted knowing the FBI is investigating the terrorist attacks in NY, NJ and MN. After the FBI investigated Hellary, and didn't press charges, and then revealed their inquiries were neither under oath nor recorded so we don't know what the FBI asked nor heard, how can evidence be gathered that will stand up in our liberal court system.

---
Why is mainscream media mystified at the excitement voters are showing for Trump..Let's face it, Trump is the first choice the American voters have had in political policies since Reagan.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "France Becomes First Country To Ban Plastic Cups And Dishes" -- Wow.. liberals world-wide celebrate...

---
You know, since mainscream media and Hellary are trying to paint Trump as an out-of-control, short-tempered maniac, how do they explain Trump's world-wide business success? Such success is not the result of instability.

---
L-E headline/story: "LEDGER INQUIRER * Does the Big Red D stand for demolish or delay? *  Alma said there is a house near her house on Calvin that has the Big Red D spray-painted on it, denoting its status as having been condemned and scheduled for demolition." -- I learned something from this article.. the big red "D" doesn't stand for Democrat voter registration office. On the other hand, it could also stand for "Democrat Promise" as it won't be kept .. at least not soon.

---
L-E "headLIE": "Trump supporters struggle to sideline ‘birther’ issue" -- Good grief.. the "struggle" is mainscream media trying to divert attention away from Hellary's lack of salability as a good choice for president.

---
L-E guest commentary headline: "It’s time for the Bushes to reject Trump * BY DICK MEYER * Scripps Washington Bureau" -- First, where's this (_*_) been hiding.. the most of the Bush family has already voiced heir opinions, but let me ask,, why would any Bush actually be for Hellary? She's lied about them since 1992,

---

Good grief.. doesn't mainscream media remember Bill Clinton being sent there in 2009.. instead of Secretary of State, Hellary? I guess, like the economy, Hellary thought Bill would be better at this than she would...

L-E feature - "LOOKING BACK | Fifty years ago today September 19, 1966: " Enrollment in Muscogee County schools reached 43,429 last Friday, to top attendance on the same day last year by 583 pupils. The increase was a reversal of a downward trend indicated in preschool registration figures." --  43,000 plus students in the MCSD? Why then, are the figures for students in local public schools stagnant between 32,000-34,000 for the past 26 years? Could it be changes in overall population.. let's see, the US Census had Muscogee County at 158,623 in 1960, 167,377 in 1970, 170,108 in 1980, 179,278 in 1990, 186291 in 2000, and 189,885 in 2010.. obviously (in spite of Mayor TomLYINGson's lies) our population is steadily growing, so why are there significantly fewer students in the MCSD? Or could it be that parents seek other ways to get their children better educated.. Vote Trump .. and see school choices improve.
