While it is not what I would do..I'm dropping my issues with Trump appointing Romney as Secretary of State. rump's rose in the political arena has been a phenomena, and though I and most of my blog followers were behind him early on,  none of us really know how to second guess him. What we do know, is that Trump has been very successful in his endeavors, and we should respect his record of achievement enough to respect his vision of the future. Look at the turn around of Trump's adversaries as this campaign's "Apology Tour", only instead of seeing one like Obama did, we have old Republican politicians apologizing to America for letting Democrats almost get away with destructive mission.

IF Hellary were to win PA, and MI, and Trump wins Wisconsin, then they both would have 268 Electoral College votes (assuming those 2 Washington Democratic Party Electors do actually vote for Hellary), and the House (with an overwhelming Republican majority) would pick the president... advantage Trump.. but let's even be more analytical.. If Trump gets Wisconsin, and Hellary gets MI and PA, and it ends up in a tie  at 268.. Hellary will have to live with the fact that Maine's 1 Electoral College vote (out of 4) that Trump won will keep her out of the White House,, and Maine hasn't ever spilt its Electoral vote .. One thing concerning Columbus's revenues should be re-examinated..that's the property tax exemption of state and federal offices. Another thing 3 of the 4 have in common is that Columbus, Macon, and Albany overwhelmingly voted for Hellary.. Electing Donna Tompkins will not "solve" budget issues in the Sheriff's Department, and if she claims she can operate on what Mayor TomLYINGson doles out, then the Mayor has promised (most likely secretly) to fund the budget properly which is all Sheriff Darr has asked.  This should be revealed.. now.. as what TomLYINGson offered Darr will not be sufficient to meet the court/federal mandates for prisoner treatments, and failure for the Sheriff's Office to do so will result in much more costly lawsuits. Re-elect Darr.. and recall Mayor TomLYINGson, and Columbus' problems will pretty much disappear..

Birthdays... especially 80th Birthdays are special within themselves, but .. some 80th birthdays are even more special than others.. (including your own).. some are "Paul Harvey Moments". I went to one yesterday that, though I'm sure is not unique within itself, but pretty close. My uncle, Jack, celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday at a surprise gathering at one of his daughter's homes in Cumming, GA. A contingent of family drove up to be a part of the surprise and celebration.. Among the celebrants were Uncle Jack's 3 siblings.. his sister and two brothers... all of which are older than him.. We didn't just celebrate an 80th birthday.. we celebrated a lifelong family era 4 siblings.. all octogenarians.. and the "baby brother" is 80.. The 4 siblings have accrued 341 years between them, and the oldest brother turns 90 on his next birthday.. may we gather again in 2026 when "baby brother Jack" gets to 90!

The Founding Fathers. in their wisdom of their time and their vision for the future, understood several vital things.. The National Election of the President would be too unwieldy to be a "popular vote" as the needs of the individual states in terms of population and travel time, could not be centralized for a fast recognition of decisions the voters' decision. Though there would be a single "election day" (though some states now allow for extended voting times) to vote, it would take immeasurable time to for each state to accumulate the totals from around the individual states,thus basically making it near impossible for states, as units, or as a whole, from being able to schedule/advertise any sort of runoff if no candidate got a majority + 1 vote count. So, our ancestors decided that the Electoral College, with the number of votes being decided every ten years by a National Census, would be the better way.. and a the only way  that each state would have it's populations' voice heard. Otherwise, it would be like having Great Danes and Chihuahuas deciding how to divvy up bag of dog food.

On a local issue runoff: For Sheriff of Muscogee County.. Current Sheriff John Darr .. his opponent is openly supported by Mayor TomLYINGson, she supported the "THAW" referendum, and would vacate the lawsuit initiated to keep the Muscogee County Jail/Sheriff's Office's budget in line with taking care of the federal mandates which would put us taxpayers in jeopardy of federal lawsuits. Darr, on the other hand, has relieved the crowded condition, initiated programs to serve prisoners needs when they finish their sentences (programs on fatherhood, special needs of veterans, G.E.D schooling, and spiritual reconnection). Darr deserves our continued support!

Once again.. it is not Trump's place to decide whether the FBI continues its investigation that Loretta Lynch has repeatedly.. doggedly.. interfered with.. It will be the FBI, under a new Trump appointed  US Attorney General at the DOJ , which will make that decision, and the decision will be based on "rules of law" to insure not even Hellary can be above the laws of the USA.

Good grief..watching State vs Bama, and Bama stopped State on a 3rd down play, and the player who.made the tackle took off his helmet as he headed to the bench ..presumably so the camera would focus on him, but the referee didn't "flag" him.. A couple of weeks ago, UGA scored a TD against Tennessee with 10 seconds left, and a Dawg took his helmet off in glee, and the team was penalized 15 yards.on the kickoff, which put Tennessee close enough to throw a successful Hail Mary pass into the end zone. Consistency.. RES!

L-E story: "The (Muscogee County School)" board is expected to vote on the transferring of $410,000 from the Fort Middle School new gym project to the Kinnett Stadium expansion. The cost of the Kinnett project will be over the approximately $3.1 million budget and the Fort project is under budget. -- Whoa! Wait a minute.. that $410,000.00 is not THEIRS to shuffle around.. The MCSD guesstimated all of it's "projects (what else can you call it when no bids are taken), and each project should be contained by those parameters since none of the "guesstimates" was "low" (examples: various weight/wrestling rooms of metal/slab construction at $312.00 a sq ft). If a project can't be fixed for what was guesstimated, then that project should be altered/truncated to fit the budget, and any projects that are finished efficiently, then the unused money should be returned to the taxpayers via a shorter tax period.
