From the "libs should be careful what they wish for" department - Online headline/story: "Governments Are Going To Lose $92 Billion In Fuel Taxes Thanks To Electric Cars * Governments get a ton of money from taxes on gas and fuel in general. Electric vehicles don’t use gas. As more EVs hit the road, there’s less gas getting used for governments to tax. * Under the International Energy Agency’s most ambitious scenario, in which 30 per cent of new car and truck sales are electric by 2030, governments are set to forgo $92bn in revenues from duties on road fuels." -- Don't worry.. though.. as soon as the next DIMocrat wins the Presidency, a new law will get passed that raises not only the gas taxes, but puts one on electricity as well, and soon enough only politicians will be able to afford to drive via another law that gives all politicians a fuel-furnished government vehicle to drive.

Online headline/story: "Highest-ranking Latina braces for backlash over Pelosi snub *
Forget Nancy Pelosi. The most endangered member of House Democratic leadership is its most recent entrant and the highest-ranking Latina in Congress, Rep. Linda Sánchez. * As vice chairwoman of the Democratic Caucus, Sánchez occupies the obscure No. 5 spot in Democratic ranks, a position deemed the “potted plant” of leadership by veteran lawmakers." -- "the 'potted plant' of leadership"? Good grief.. is that what the DIMocrats feel about Latina women?

---
Online story: "Handguns are almost three times as likely to be used in mass shootings as rifles, according to a new report from a gun-safety group that appears to cut against gun-control advocates’ push to ban some semiautomatic rifles. * More than three quarters of mass shootings from 1996 to 2016 involved a handgun, while just 29 percent of shooters used a rifle, according to the New York-based Rockefeller Institute, part of a gun safety initiative convened by a handful of mostly Democratic governors." -- Hmmm.. of course, this fact will not affect the DIMocratic mantra... that based on "facts" of what they can add to bolster their Machiavellian ultimate goal..

---
From the "bias, what bias" department - Online headline/story: "'Donald Trump effect' is hurting US bid for 2026 World Cup, report says * President Trump’s comments on African countries and the administration’s travel restrictions on some Middle Eastern nations are reportedly hurting the U.S. bid to host the 2026 World Cup. * Muslim-majority countries are also wary of voting for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada proposal because of the administration’s travel ban that affects some Middle Eastern nations, a former European soccer official told the newspaper." -- You know.. if the opposition is based on one great President's choice to "Make America Great Again", and more countries would prefer to play soccer in Muslim world, then let it be...Trump will continue to Keep America Safe!

---
Online headline/story: "New Starbucks training manual promotes 'becoming color brave,' speaking to customers 'one human to one human' * A 68-page guidebook and more than a dozen videos made up the majority of Starbucks’ hours-long racial bias training session on Tuesday, with much of the coffee seller's revamped curriculum focused on identifying racial prejudices, learning to be “color brave,” and respecting customers and their spaces" -- Hmmm... a 68 page guidebook... just to tell their employees what they could learn in one Bible verse... Matthew 7:12. Of course, most of America is waiting on Starbucks' Chairman Howard Schultz to apologize for excluding us from service.

---
Online headline/story: "'Roseanne' fans call for Bill Maher to be fired after he joked Trump is part orangutan" -- Hmmm... HBO.. a division of Time-Warner which. among other holdings, also owns TBS, which owns CNN.. Imagine that...

---
You know.. I have no inclination to use such a word as the "n-word", but I do think it's hypocritical... and discriminatory... and bigoted if it's use by one race is "OK" and by another, it's not "OK"

---
Online headline/story: "CNN reporter Jim Acosta blasts Kim Kardashian's trip to the White House: 'She shouldn't be here talking about prison reform' * CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta railed against Kim Kardashian-West, who was at the White House on Wednesday to talk about prison reform. * Acosta argued that Kardashian-West's visit illustrates what he called a "lack of seriousness" from President Donald Trump with regard to matters of policy, and some politically divisive issues. * She shouldn't be here talking about prison reform," Acosta said. "It's very nice that she is here, but that's not a serious thing to have happened here at the White House." -- "lack of seriousness"? Good grief.. basically, Jim Costa has just said Kim Kardashian is an airhead... Hey, Jim... is that because she's a woman, black, or married to Kanye... or is it just your male ego complaining that she gets invited to the Oval Office, and you get shotdown by Sarah Sanders?

---
10! ... Today is the 10th day of Zeph Baker's broken promise to have his Campaign Disclosures filed properly... Anybody have an idea where he's calling "home" these days?
---
From the "how about that" department - The CSU Cougars are in the semifinals of the Div II NCAA World Series.. they play Florida Southern this morning at 10:30 .. if you are a Columbusite, you can listen on Radio 540 AM... if not, you can go the the NCAA app and stream it live..

Clint Eastwood is 88 today..

We still haven't heard from any Councilors about the costs of the River Road roundabout, nor the overinflated projections for LOST/OLOST revenues in Mayor Tom-LYING-son's swan song budget proposals for Fiscal 2019, nor have we heard from MCSB members about the location of the "wrestling/cheer-leading practice building for Columbus High, nor why the MCSD is spending more on revamping two baseball fields AND on 8 metal buildings than it j[has budgeted for increased school safety..

Do I agree with the comment Roseanne tweeted... no... but how different was it compared to the blatant disrespect that ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN abide from their "comedy" and 'News" programs concerning the personal appearance of the President of the United States? Did ABC get indignant at NBC for alec baldwin for his depiction of Trump... not that I've seen.. have any of them taken issue with the way robert mueller has handled his Spanish Inquisition tactics? No...ABC seems to have forgotten the A-B-Cs of business...starting with making a profit for the shareholders.. I turned on ABC at 8:00 to watch "Roseanne" and saw ABC had "taken it's ball and ran home"...just switched channels to watch Last Man Standing which use to be ABCs' best rated show that now Hallmark is capitalizing on, and Fox is bringing back..

It's funny and ironic... almost TOO funny and ironic, that Valerie Jarrett brought up that this could be a "teachable moment"... and she was right... but, ABC ruined the opportunity by shutting off the conversation

Online headline/story: "NFL Players Consider “Sitting Out” Next Season If Kaepernick Isn’t Signed * a group of players are purportedly planning on essentially boycotting next season if their anthem-kneeling overlord, Colin Kaepernick, isn’t signed to a team. * According to the sometimes-reliable Shaun King, “several” “star” NFL players are considering sitting out this season unless former 49ers second-string quarterback Colin Kaepernick and fellow national anthem protester Eric Reid are signed to teams. * King reported Sunday that these same “star players” aim to get 25% of the league participating in their boycott." -- Shaun King? The BLM activist who's PAC funneled the wife of a Facebook co-founder's money to elect DAs across the country who pledged anti-police platforms. Bring it on, NFLPA! Hey, ABC... are you shutting down ESPN and ABC's Monday Night Football?

---
On another TV vein... I guess England is glad that the Hallmark Movie Channel did not produce the "Royal Wedding"... Hallmark would have had Meghan Markle ditch groom at the rehearsal dinner, and run away with the stable GROOMer.

---
Why is it that news stories about drug users being found dead or unconscious report it as an "accidental" overdose? Didn't the victims INTENTIONALLY ingest/inject the drugs?

---
You know, cable companies run a lot of their own ads while we're watching... Having had Knology/WOW in the past and Charter/Spectrum now, Spectrum's ads are a lot funnier than WOW's.

---
Saw a huge congregation of police officers demonstrating support for their fallen officer in Baltimore,,, the one recently killed when a thug literally drove over her. Well, where were the NFL players demonstrating solidarity over "police brutality"?

---
L-E headline/story: "Jury finds man not guilty in ex-wife’s 2012 slaying * Jury finds man not guilty in ex-wife’s 2012 slaying * A nearly month-long trial in a six-year-old murder case that tore a family apart ended Tuesday when a jury found Jarod Ingram not guilty of all charges in the fatal 2012 stabbing of his ex-wife Ciara Ingram at her Lakebottom-area apartment. * Tears fell on both sides of the courtroom as the verdict was announced – tears of relief from Ingram and his current wife, and tears of frustration from the victim’s mother, Sue Barrett, who flew from Indiana from Columbus to testify, and then made a second trip to be here for the verdict." -- Hmmm... Another jury fail...you know, Columbus may be able to cuts it's expenses on housing prisoners in the future... with juries able to be assembled in Columbus, there may be no future convictions for anything...

---
UGA just lost a quality quarterback who saw himself as the perpetual "scout team
QB... having lost Eason on a transfer earlier, and now the pending transfer of Stetson Bennett. I guess now Fromm and Fields will j[have to alternate as "scout team and starting QBs",, and the first team will have to pull it's punches on "scout team" QB pursuits...

---
You know.. America... and the world would be so much better off if mainscream media stood beside Trump.. as it is, mainscream media is standing behind him.. though not in support.. maybe we should get Sen Feinstein too make it illegal or journalists to own or but "pen knives"... it would cut down a lot of their backstabbing of the President.

Online story: "  Atlanta is trying to get a handle on the use of electric bicycles, which are proliferating in the city and presenting new threats to pedestrians when the pedal-assisted e-bikes are ridden or parked on sidewalks, trails and in parks. The debate is to begin Wednesday in the Atlanta City Council’s Transportation Committee." -- DOH! It's been illegal to ride such on sidewalks as it is.. Just enforce the laws.. make a new law that if  "rental bikes" are left on the sidewalks that they will be impounded. That will make sure the rental companies provide adequate spaces for customers to park them, and rental companies to hold renters  responsible for parking them properly.

From the "well, it woulda been some kind of poetic justice" department - Online headline/story: "Florida Police Officer Suggests David Hogg Get Hit by Car After Latest NRA Protests at Publix Stores * A Florida police officer is facing mounting backlash over a Facebook comment in which he seemingly wished violence upon Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg and other young gun control activists. The now-deleted post was in response to "die in" protests held Friday in the parking lot of giant supermarket chain Publix, which previously made large donations to the political campaigns of National Rifle Association supporters. * "Hope some old lady loses control of her car in that lot. Jus saying…..” Coconut Creek police officer Brian Valenti allegedly wrote on the Coral Springs/Parkland Facebook page, according to screenshots obtained by The Sun-Sentinel. * The comment was posted under a picture of Hogg and two other #NeverAgain activists standing in the parking area of a Coral Springs Publix store, where they had just finished painting body outlines in chalk to represent the 17 people killed in February " -- "Hope some old lady loses control of her car in that lot. Jus saying…..”? --- Hmmm... all this over what could have been a couple of "t-typos" He could have meant CAR(T) as evidence by his omission of the "t" to finish the word "Jus(t)".. but aside from this, does Hogg have 1st Amendment Rights and police officers do not?

---
From the "Thanks, David Hogg" department - Online headline/story: "Backfire: When Publix suspended political donations that included Democrats * Thanks to David Hogg, candidates who support the National Rifle Association won’t receive campaign donations from Publix — for now — but neither will NRA critics like Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Rep. John Lewis. * While Publix tilts decidedly right in its political giving, the supermarket giant has also donated more than $760,000 since 2008 to Democratic committees, including at least two dozen candidates for federal office at odds with the NRA. * They include multiple members of the Black Congressional Caucus, former Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Sens. Michael Bennet of Colorado, Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Patty Murray of Washington, Bill Nelson of Florida, and Ron Wyden of Oregon" -- Isn't the collapse of the "political correctness" syndrome awesome..now people can cut the string with DIMocrats as well.

---
One of our fellow BCers suggests a new name for the pedestrian/bicycle traffic bridge over Victory Drive.. he suggests the "Wait on Me" rather than the "Follow Me" Trail due to the interminable delays.. He sent pics of the construction site's eyesore 'bases", but I do have a question... no, more of a "CONCERN"... Will the actual bridge portion be one of those pre-fab, drop-in types like the one that collapsed on cars down in Florida?

Who wants to hear what Marco Rubio says on anything anymore? He's become nothing more than clanging cymbal in the same vein as Pelosi, Schumer, Graham or McCain.

You know, if you choose, you can still buy, OObamaCRAP Healthcare, but if you're smart, you can shop insurance policies that cover only what you want it to cover... and you won't get fined!

On a local issue.. we have a couple of runoffs looming ahead... Council Post 10 between John House and Amy Bryan, and MCSB Post 2 between Mike Edmondson and Bart Steed. For Council Post 10, it's a matter of right vs wrong.. John House is my choice as I still think a Chamber employee that's paid with tax funds should not be able to run for a government office without resigning. This thought carries over to th race in MCSB District 2 as well, Edmondson did work within the MCSD but resigned to run for office, while Bart Steed is still under an open-ended MCSD contract for $165,000.00. I do not understand how Steed was even allowed to qualify holding that contract.. I'm voting for Edmondson in this one.

---
Surprise, surprise, surprise... NOT! It's been 8 days now that Zeph Baker has not delivered his campaign donation/expenditure documents as due... and as promised.

---
You know, if the NFL Players Association and Owners really think the kneeling during the National Anthem is appropriate, then why weren't they present and kneeling during the laying of the wreathe at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers?

---
You know. The GA Lottery funded "Hope Scholarships" should have a 'string attached"..that the money should not be available if a student must take remedial math or English to qualify for admission...It's obvious the student's real grades were not high enough to qualify.
Obviously, the world is waking up...

Obama went on an Apology Tour bemoaning America's "past", while Trump has told the world that America will not apologize for thinking America First!

From "there is something missing in this story" department - L-E headline: "Authors: Memorial Day was founded in Columbus, Ga., 150 years ago" -- 152 years ago, actually.. but who's counting... I thought is was strange that there is no mention of the 1898 book (I have a copy) written about the Memorial Day history, nor the historical marker at the corner of 2nd Ave and 11th Street (on St Luke Church's right-of-way) concerning the 1st Memorial Day.

Online headline: "US forecasters say 2018 hurricane season may be above normal" -- Good grief.. "may be above normal"? At this point, with no hurricanes to report, this headline would be more accurate if it read, "US forecasters say 2018 hurricane season may be BELOW normal" but this would neither fit the AGENDA of mainscream media nor the agenda of this news service to attract readers.

From the "government gender confusion" department - Online headline/story: " Girl dens blaze fresh trail into Boy Scouts of America * On a frontline of the gender equality battle in the United States is Den 13, a suburban Virginia Cub Scout unit made up of girls on their way to next year becoming the first female Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America." -- Good grief...What's next Cub Scout cookies?

---
From the "comparing honey crisp apples to crab apples" department - Online headline/story: "Ivanka Trump faces backlash after posting photo of her toddler son * The mom-of-three posted a photo to Twitter showing her cuddling her 2-year-old son, Theodore, on Sunday with the caption: "My <3 --="" 2="" 3="" again...that="" agents="" allows="" ambiguous="" as="" away="" border="" but="" called="" children="" div="" enacted="" entered="" far="" go="" here="" illegally.="" in="" insensitive="" journalists...="" left="" liberals="" light="" mainly="" number="" of="" or="" people="" policy="" posing="" post="" recently="" security="" some="" take="" the="" to="" tolerance="" u.s.="" undaymorning.="" we="" which="" who="" yeah="" zero="">

You know.. not one MCSB member responded to the fact that they will be spending more money on each of two protects (revamping 2 high school baseball fields and 8 metal-on-slab utility buildings) than they will spend on the upgraded school security program.. they should feel ashamed ...

Think about this.. the Japanese could have sent troops through Mexico during WWII to cross over our unprotected Southern border... but they didn't.. why.. because the Japaneses were concerned about so many American citizens owning their own guns..

The L-E has a copy of the next year's budget proposal today..
It's nice and convenient for outgoing mayor Tom-LYING-son... there was a L-E article a few days ago showing the 1% LOST taxes bring in only about $33.5 Million each (about $67 MILLION combined) and yet Tom-LYING-son is projecting $71.2 Million in addition to tapping in another $1.5 Million from our Fund Balance... and no one will own up to the costs of the River Road roundabout.. Hope this Council puts a "stop" on Tom-LYING-son's swan song... Unfortunately, Columbus voters did not make their voices known loud enough.

First, remember... and revere... Memorial Day..

---
A Soapbox Moment: You know, the NFL should schedule an "All-Star" football game in Washington, DC of NFL players who have "taken a knee" during the National Anthem in a regular season....on Memorial Day, with nothing but amputee veterans in the bleachers...

---
I'm curious... the NFL is not the only football league in America... some cities have Arena Football... haven't ever attended one personally, but I haven't heard of its players who really want to play football protesting the National Anthem. I guess they actually know fans-in-the-stands are paying for their much smaller paychecks.

---
What a man....President Trump not only spoke to the graduating class at the US Naval Academy, he stayed on stage and shook the hand of every new ensign beginning their service to America!

---
L-E headline: "NAACP * Columbus officers told to vacate NAACP posts" -- You know.. this may be the break Columbus has needed to get our communities together...the last time we had leadership apparently wanting to work out local racial issues... the local board ousted Nate Sanderson.

---
From the "for the first time ever" department - L-E headline: "Michelle Obama unveils cover for upcoming memoir" -- Hmmm.. call Guinness! We'll soon have a book that we can 'judge by it's cover'.

---
From the "liberals' false hope springs eternal" department - L-E headline/story: "Weather washes away soccer tournament * Georgia Soccer State Cup tournament relocation from Columbus to have an economic impact of nearly $2.4 million. * The Georgia Soccer State Cup, a youth tournament that was scheduled to be played Saturday through Monday, was filled with potential. Its 3,600 participants were expected to bring plenty of family members with them, filling the city’s hotels and restaurants. The event has taken place in Columbus more than a decade. * Georgia Soccer officials could not be immediately reached for comment. Sherman said the tourney is being relocated to the Atlanta metro area and to playing fields there that have artificial turf and are better suited for drainage after heavy rain. Aside from Kinnett Stadium, all of the Columbus soccer fields are natural grass, typically preferred by soccer players, but unable to drain as quickly as turf. * Georgia Soccer State Cup is renewed each year, which means there currently is no contract for 2019, although Sherman said she is extremely hopeful that it will return to Columbus next year. * “We’ve had a longstanding relationship with Georgia Soccer and have had successful events here for many, many years,” she said. “This is the first year in history that the weather has been uncooperative and it’s unfortunate for all of the businesses that rely on the dollars from this weekend.” -- " she is extremely hopeful that it will return to Columbus next year"? Yeah, right. like Atlanta will back away now that it has the opportunity to showcase itself.. Do you remember when the Olympics took over Golden Park and sent the baseball team over to Columbus State.. That killed in possibility of baseball recovering here in Columbus.. and what the the Fair.. the Fair vacated South Commons so the Civic Center could be built, then Council reneged on the promises made, and the Chattahoochee Fair DIED! No, Columbus will not get the soccer tournament back.. drainage has always been a problem at the Woodruff Road Complex because drainage was not properly addressed from the git-go.

---
L-E guest commentary headline and content: "To work for this president, believe the truly unbelievable * BY JAY BOOKMAN * Cox Newspapers * TO KEEP YOUR JOB, TO KEEP YOUR STANDING IN THE MOVEMENT, YOU HAVE TO SET YOUR SELF-RESPECT ASIDE." -- Good grief.. being hired by a liberal mainscream media is more demanding of one having to set aside his/her self-respect... because he.she knows that he/she is not worthy of a job at a respected media organization..

---
From the "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit" defense department - There was a story in the L-E about a man accused of rape who was acquit after the victim described his genitals.. the man was allowed to expose himself to show his genitals did not match the victim's description.. and jurors :bought it".. even though the DNA evidence matched the criminal... it's sad that "jury fails" are prevalent all across our country...

---
L-E headline: "North Korea said it destroyed nuclear site, hours before Trump canceled meeting" --
Trump and World -1
Kim Jong Oooops -0

---
Looks like our murder total is up to 16... but 17 if you count the suicide following a spouse killing.. this is just as much a murder as killing his spouse was..

---
L-E commentary headline: "‘I was wrong’ – the 3 hardest words in the English language * BY LEONARD PITTS JR. * Miami Herald -- Of course, Pitts is not referring to himself, but another "big twit".. As I know what 'the Pitts" political rhetoric is, actually those three words, "I was wrong" should be his editorial commentary "signature".

---
There was an Editorial Cartoon in last weeks L-E by someone named "Joel Pett" - It has the caption, "What are the odds Colin Kaepernick would be playing in the NFL if he were white?". Hmmm... what are the odds "if he were white"? First. he probably would never have disrespected our veterans and National Flag/Anthem, but his odds of playing now would be even LESS... In fact, mainscream media would have excoriated him, not canonize him!

---
From the "well there's gonna be plenty of room in the grandstands for grandstanding" department - Online headline/story: "Jets' Christopher Johnson: 'If somebody takes a knee, that fine will be borne by me' * So here’s a question: If Johnson is as opposed to the new rule as it seems he is, why did he vote for it? The teams that voted – San Francisco’s Jed York abstained – unanimously voted yes. * “Do I prefer that they stand? Of course. But I understand if they felt the need to protest. There are some big, complicated issues that we’re all struggling with, and our players are on the front lines. I don’t want to come down on them like a ton of bricks, and I won’t. There will be no club fines or suspensions or any sort of repercussions. If the team gets fined, that’s just something I’ll have to bear.”" -- Talk about "grandstanding".. the New York Jets have had to reduce the prices of this Fall's Season Tickets ALREADY!

You know.. when the Super Bowl Champs are reducing the costs of Season Tickets, the whole league is suffering from the backlash of the protests...Isn't America GREAT!

---
L-E headline/story: "High hopes but tough road for black woman in governor’s race * Abrams is betting she can succeed by abandoning the political playbook of previous Democratic nominees, who ran centrist campaigns aimed at luring back older white voters who had come to favor Republicans. She is instead hoping to appeal to young voters and nonwhites who have been less likely to participate in elections." -- Her number one problem is not her gender nor race.. it's her lack of knowledge of budgeting.. and being a DIMocrat.. her personal finances are a known mess... Guess she's going to try to appeal to those most recently graduating from public education system where knowing 2 + 2 = 5.. or 6.. and is close enough to get a passing grade.

Also hope the GA Election Commission watches over her campaign donations to make sure there's no illegal conversion of donated funds...

---
With Dr Schley winning the District 8 seat from Frank Myers.. Columbus loses the main spotlight on issues facing the future of Columbus.. it's like replacing a 100 Watt bulb with a candle..well, maybe 85 birthday candles...

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Federal judge rules Trump can’t block people on Twitter * U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald in New York concluded that blocking people on Twitter violated their First Amendment rights. -- Good grief.. Some low level Clinton appointed judge has ruled that President Trump cannot block incoherent people's Twitter exchanges. WHAT! CNN is ecstatic..I guess CNN feels that the judge has ruled educated people won't be able to change channels or cut their TVs off when Anderson Cooper speaks his drivel..hmmm .. but then again, then I guess UC Berkeley can no longer forbid Conservative speakers. You know.. the Freedom Of Speech Amendment goes both ways.. I can speak my mind, but no one is forced to listen to it...of course, genuinely smart people do....

---
From the "shades of 2016" department - Online story: " Gov. Cuomo, facing a tough primary challenge on the left from actress Cynthia Nixon, on Wednesday easily snared his party’s nomination for a third term at the state Democratic convention. * With Cuomo winning more than 95% of the vote, Nixon failed to get anywhere near the 25% she needed to guarantee her a spot on the primary ballot." -- Good grief.. after the delegate rigging scheme for Hellary vs Bernie in 2016, you'd "feel" Hellary would be out stumping for an open DIMocrat Primary in 2018.. Oh, and while Hellary did endorse a female DIMocrat candidate in the GA Primary, yet will not endorse a female.. and one with a leadership element in the LGBTQ community... in her home state? Hey, DIMocrats.. especially Hellary and Cuomo, where's your conviction about letting the people decide for themselves?

---
Let's see.. the local elections are pretty much over.. there are a couple of run offs left, but the two questions left unanswered by the candidates are still with us.. How much is the roundabout project on River Road going to cost Columbusites, and now that the cost of a 40'X60' "red iron" metal on slab wrestling/cheerleading practice facility had been published at $38,000.00 how does the MCSB justify the overall costs pegged at $750,000.00 each for 6, (plus there are two others that are bigger on the construction list)

---
Now we know why movie prices are so high for the ones we WANT to see...Theaters must make up for the lack of viewers in their theaters that are showing "action" classics about "Poop Francis" and "Ruth Bader Ginsburg" .. hmm... maybe the scheduler thought she was Darth Bader's mother..

---
And "they" wonder why drops in education and school safety are too issues...a valedictorian of an Indiana high school was muffled in his speaking spot because his school officials saw his subject which included mentions of Jesus. You know, it's pathetic that Vice-President Pence, a favorite son of Indiana can speak of his relationship with Jesus but an Indiana student cannot.

---
There are fewer situations in life more enlightening than liberals trying to "walk back" from trying to demonstrate their "inclusiveness". Starbucks opened it's doors to everyone .. for what ..2 or 3 days..and now is shutting "their people" out again.. seems Trump people decided to stay out the first time the Starbucks chairman expressed his bigotry.

---
Stayed at one of our Buckhead Marriott hotels last week, and discovered that other than the Downtown Marriott offerings, all the other Marriotts in Atlanta exclusively serve Pepsi products. Wait a minute, Atlanta is the International HEADQUARTERS of Coca Cola...and Pepsi is from...as the Pace Salsa commercials point out about their main competition, is from NEW YORK CITY !!! Gonna find me a new hotel chain to support!

I'm tested the Marriott one other way...went to the bar and ordered a Bourbon and Coke to see if the barkeep would tell me they only serve Pepsi products... he didn't.. canceled my order and left..

To sum up staying at the AC Marriott, at 8:10 AM housekeeping KNOCKS..bye Marriott!

My grandson really enjoyed the GA Aquarium Dolphin Celebration..I think it's because they spoke the same language

---
This may have been my last visit to the GA Aquarium... It's riled by chaos and inept food services.. Why doesn't the GA Aquarium make some policy changes such as either limiting school field trips/youth groups to certain days, or simply prohibit them on 1 or 2 specified days, and the food services.. absolute chaos and gouging that just eliminates having a good family day... I'm serious.. why doesn't the GA Aquarium just franchise the food area out to Chick-fil-A... not only is an Atlanta icon like Coca Cola, it knows how to get people served and on their way.... with a smile.

---
On a local note.. Let's see...Zeph Baker stated in a L-E interview he would finally turn in his Campaign Financial Forms on May 21st...Today is the 7th day of another of his lies.

Yu know.. now is the time Baker's donors might be embarrassed about the public knowing they supported Baker this election cycle...

---
Some Clinton appointed judge has ruled that President Trump cannot block incoherent people's Twitter exchanges. WHAT! CNN is ecstatic..I guess CNN feels that the judge has ruled informed people won't be able to change channels or cut their TVs off when Anderson Cooper speaks his drivel..hmmm .. then again, I guess UC Berkeley can no longer forbid Conservative speakers.

Heard a liberal talking about what Trump hasn't done for Chicago to curb the street murders...It's funny, the same liberal didn't ask Chicago or Obama why they hadn't stopped them.

Online headline: "John McCain: I'm Partly to Blame for 'Mistake' of Iraq War" -- Hmmm.. well carry it one step further and apologize for being 100% to blame for the Senate not ending OObamaCRAP.

You know, I hear liberals and other DIMocrats saying the Republicans haven't offered and alternative plan.. take heart DIMs, you can STILL BUY OObamaCRAP, only now you won't get fined if you don't.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about Nestle signing a pact with Starbucks to distribute coffee, and my plans to remove Nestle from my life..Well, this past weekend, I finished the last Butterfinger candy bar in my 'stash'.. It has been my favorite for decades...my go to for movies and momentary moments of indulgence...Well, no more..not even in my favorite Dairy Queen Blizzard.

Online story: "Barack and Michelle Obama are raking in the cash, thanks to the influence of a former campaign supporter. * The couple last week signed a creative production deal with Netflix that one entertainment-industry source said could be valued at more than $50 million. * Ted Sarandos, a major campaign contributor for Obama and the streaming giant’s creative-content chief who oversees an $8 billion budget, helped to broker the deal, the source told The (New York) Post." -- Hmmm... Well, this is my NETFLIX position since it hired the Obamas..I do not plan to watch their productions, so if Netflix raises what I pay to cover its losses for what the Obama's produce, I will drop Netflix.

Going to Atlanta proved my assessment of the new GA car phone laws will be more of a problem than the legislature feels it solves.. My car is set up to access my phone...when my wife drives it, she still has to answer her phone mechanically...I imagine every one of you will have the same issue driving your spouses car.

Oh, and some of you will also have children driving your cars set up for your cellphones, or an older one that doesn't even have the capability for hands free calling.

From the "when America is respected, and says, "Jump", dictators say how high" department - Online headline: "S.Korea says N.Korea's Kim reaffirms commitment to summit with Trump". -- Seems our mainscream media still doesn't understand how courage in a President works.. but then again, mainscream media is use to DIMocrats and RINOs.

---
Online story: "Russia and Facebook back in the headlines together again … * USA Today published a review that showed Russian operatives bought and promoted thousands of ads after the 2016 election. * Those ads on the social media platform targeted Hispanics and immigration policy. The review revealed the ads were part of an effort to quote, “inflame racial tensions over controversial immigration-related topics.” -- Hmmm sounds more like Russia was spiteful that Trump won... that sorta blows piss back into the face of Robert Mueller et al... maybe because Russia had a master plan to send troops in over our Southern Border as soon as Hellary completed dismantling our military..

---
Online headline/story: "Police arrest MS-13 gang member who killed man, burned his body * An (sic) MS-13 gang member accused of killing a Texas man and torching his body was arrested in South Carolina Tuesday. * a documented and confirmed MS-13 gang member,” fatally shot a man before putting his body in the trunk of a car, dousing the vehicle with gasoline, and setting it on fire, authorities said * Fr***** Pl*****-R******, 21, was arrested after being on the run from Walker County police and ICE for nearly four years, the Houston Chronicle reported." -- "on the run...for nearly four years"? Hmmm.. that puts the "animal" here during the Obama administration's "Reign of Error"
Hey.. Pelosi.. Schumer.. please stand your ground that MS-13ers ARE NOT ANIMALS.. November is coming!

The real crime about DACA is that a policy was put in place that knowingly KNEW that parents could... and would... be separated from their children..

---
Online headline: "Chelsea Clinton says Trump 'degrades what it means to be an American,' says Brits should protest his UK trip" -- Hmmm... well, I guess if she looked to her parents as to what patriotic Americans were, I guess she has no clue what a REAL PATRIOTIC American is..

---
There was a picture of Harvey Weinstein with Hellary and Huma together that got posted .. then quickly deleted from twitter.. It's said Michael Flynn's twitter account was "hacked" (but not if it was the posting or the deletion that was the "hack". My guess is that the lawyers for the women filing suits against Weinstein did the deleting,, I mean, what jury is gonna believe those women when they see Weinstein interested in Hellary.

L-E headline/story: "Next mayor, council face economic balancing act * The tax digest, the gauge of all taxable property in the city, is expected to grow only about 2 percent the next budget year. Sales tax revenue is not growing. * “There is no question that the sales tax has been flat,” said outgoing District 5 Councilor Mike Baker, an accountant who chairs the city’s budget review committee this year. * Before the recession of 2008 and 2009, annual sales tax revenue was up to $36 million a year, and city leaders made long-range plans based on that, hoping it would hold there. * So, for the past several years, sales tax revenue hasn’t hit that $36 million mark. It has flattened out at around $33.5 million." -- You know.. this story acts like we have only one 1-cent tax.. but we have four of them Consumers are spending much more on sales taxes which reduces their disposable income.. To boot, the T-SPLOST Tax takes 1-cent out, but only returns 85-cents per dollar we pay in that tax. Columbus doesn't have a revenue problem, it has an overtaxed and wasteful spending program problem.. New projects that will produce more maintenance expense are not a solution to getting more revenues nor keeping our existing facilities working for our future.
In the same story it was said that Columbus is leasing its Police Cars.. How does this save money when cars are turned in and new ones attained keeping the monthly payments ongoing for the life of a vehicle, versus a onetime payment and using for as many years as possible? Oh, and does the leaser do the maintenance or is that something we do also?

---
Oh... here we are on Monday following last weeks elections, and I still haven't seen the precinct vote counts for all the local races... has the L-E dropped all interest in being a local newspaper?

---
From the "shaking my head" department - How did this happen.. arbitrary mayoral candidate Zeph Baker got 7,656 votes yet "Keep The Freeze" Champion Tollie Strode got only 5,524 votes.. How does this happen.. me thinks a forensic audit should be done on certain South Columbus churches' donations, and donations made by charitable foundations of politicians..

---
It doesn't look like it matters now, but Representative Pezold's backing of Buzz Lightyear in the Secretary of State's race versus supporting Columbus' own Josh McKoon shows Pezold is/was out of step on this issue as he was on his support of eliminating he tax freeze. Too bad he'll still be representing District 133 for the next 7 months.

---
From the "what a terrible message to send to out students ... and potential businesses that want to come to Columbus" department - L-E headline/story: "Election results to bring changes to school board * The 2018 elections for five of the nine seats on the Muscogee County School Board concluded Tuesday night with the realization that all the anti-establishment candidates lost, indicating that the majority of voters are satisfied with the school district’s progress." -- "the majority of voters are satisfied with the school district's progress"? Isn't "progress" defined in a dictionary as "improving" and/or "moving forward"?

---
Wow.. Obama sent pallets of cash to Iran to get prisoners released, while Trump has has gotten American prisoners in North Korea and Venezuela released by sending the message that America is GREAT AGAIN.

---
Good grief.. Obama is claiming that there were NO scandals in his administration.. I guess that's in the eye of the beholder.. what logical Americans believe are scandals, Obama believes are accomplishments building his legacy...

---
I heard something that disturbed me yesterday..a Sunday School class member said he and his bride ..went to Paws Humane to drop off a 4 week old kitten that showed up at there abode, and Paws turned it away.. PAWS had TOO MANY cats. Doesn't sound so very "humane" to me.

---
Ate lunch after church at a restaurant on Broadway at 11th St Sunday..We parked about halfway down the block and walked...we almost turned around because of the street trash..there were actually garbage bags piled on the sidewalk.....that was bad enough, but the most disgusting sight was the hundreds... if not thousands.. of cigarette butts tossed on the sidewalks. Columbus is lucky that I'm a 6th generational Columbusite..if I'd been from out of town, I really doubt I'd come back.

From the it had to be California" department - Online headline/story: "No anthem? No problem -- Ballgame crowd sings it anyway * What happens when the national anthem isn't played before a ballgame? In Fresno, Calif., first the crowd boos, then it takes it upon themselves to sing it anyway -- a cappella. * In a show of patriotism before Memorial Day, the crowd at a high school softball championship game at Fresno State's Margie Wright Diamond on Friday night launched into their own rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" after it was announced that the song wouldn't be played because it had already been played before an earlier game." -- It's happening folks... despite California, America IS becoming GREAT AGAIN!

---
From the "in spite of how mainscream media reports it, America IS Becoming GREAT AGAIN"" department - Online "headLIE/story: "Many Americans are on the financial edge * On Tuesday, the Federal Reserve released its 2017 report on the economic well-being of U.S. households.* With the economy in its tenth year of expansion following the financial crisis-induced recession, things are getting better — on balance — as you’d expect. When the Fed did this survey in 2013, 13% of respondents said they were struggling to get by; last year, that number fell to 7%. * Additionally, two-thirds of adults with a high school education or less now say they’re doing at least okay financially, up from 53% back in 2013. Among those with a college degree, the percentage of those indicating they are doing at least okay hit 85% in 2017." -- Hmmm... I wonder who amongst DIMocrats will reference this when talking about getting Trump impeached...

---
You know... listening to how DIMocrats campaign, it's obvious that DIMocrats are more concerned with their own concerns than America's.

---
L-E headline: "Follow Me Trail plagued with another delay on bridge" -- Sounds like the "Follow Me Trail" is following the Whittlesey Road Widening, or the Moon Road/Veterans Parkway model rather than the Sports Authority model for completing on time...

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Publix suspends contributions to NRA-backed politician amid protests" -- Hmmm...the Publix manager should have announced, "Cleanup in Dairy and Produce Aisles.. Send in the floor sweeping vehicles.".

---
L-E Headline: "Publix to end 5-percent senior discounts in Columbus stores"...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Did not shop there "just for it", but it sure was a pleasant surprise to get that 5% off our bill...took the sting out our paying $4.79 for an 18 oz box of "LIFE" cereal we could buy at another store for $2.98.

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

The local elections are over... the parents of Columbus said they are happy... maybe ecstatic, over the progress their children are making in school.. the citizens of Columbus said they were happy with local government "as is". The votes cast for candidates was swamped by the number of voters who didn't bother to vote... well under half "spoke", the silent majority was derelict to their community and the future of our City and School System... they basically failed to protect their Constitutional right of free speech.

---
The election has passed (except for a runoff in 1 or 2).. now let's remember..to the winners of the MCSB seats, your first concerns are to the students and taxpayers..not the whims of the Superintendent.. Establish your leadership and what's truly important will happen.
To the new Council..keep the needs of the whole City, not just your district as your focus...vote as if you're not campaigning for re-election in 2 to 4 years. Voters will return you if the City is prospering.

---
There was justice and injustices last night... justice was that Zeph Baker's attempt to hijack the election WAS overwhelmingly turned back.. the injustices were that students in our school system saw no one is listening to their needs... but the worst injustice was that Columbus turned it's back on Tollie Strode. Jr...I was personally offended.. pretty much devastated, that a man like Tollie Strode, Jr, who has proven his value and worthiness in prior voluntary service, wasn't embraced by every homeowner who voted (or didn't)..Columbus lost the energy and dedication of a man who loves Columbus...

---
L-E headline: "2018 GEORGIA PRIMARY ELECTIONS GOVERNOR’S RACE * Democrat Abrams makes history; GOP runoff likely" -- What does the L-E mean.. "Democrat Abrams makes history".. The DIMs still couldn't muster as many voters to turn out as the Republicans did.

---
While local results aren't in..it's more than obvious Columbus voters are conflicted.. they don't like what's gone on in the past, but won't elect changes for the future. We see this in Council and School Board results, but when Columbus voters don't embrace.. support.. one of its own to win a statewide race... we've got some soul-searching to do before Columbus's liberal aspect gets any respect in the GA Legislature.

---
From the "did Robert Earl Bolden really exist" department - L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS * 2nd cousin acquitted in homicide * Now that juries in separate murder trials have acquitted two Cusseta cousins who blamed each other for Robert Earl Bolden’s homicide, no one’s left to try in the Nov. 5, 2014, fatal shooting in the Oakland Park neighborhood." -- Talk about another JURY FAIL...Two different juries listened to two different cousins blame the other, and yet both juries found neither to blame for the death of Robert Earl Bolden. Our crime problems are not limited to the streets... or felons..felons cannot serve on juries.

---
From the "while it's not Russian election influence" department - L-E story: "A significant business partner of Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has quietly agreed to cooperate with the government as a potential witness, a development that could be used as leverage to pressure Cohen to work with the special counsel examining Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. * Under the agreement, the partner, Evgeny Freidman, a Russian immigrant known as the Taxi King, will avoid jail time and will assist government prosecutors in state or federal investigations, according to a person briefed on the matter." Good grief... Robert Mueller cannot find Russian influence in the election, he embraces Russian influence in his obsession with Trump..pitiful...

---
Wow.. the MCSD wants to ramp up security... sadly, the MCSD wants to spend more money rebuilding two existing campus baseball fields for $7.2 MILLION, and a close amount on metal-on-slab wrestling and cheerleader practice facilities. And to think the voters agree with them.... smh...

---
Did I miss the L-E announcement that Dusty Nix was retiring? Learned yesterday that he has.. Guess it proves that I was truthful in saying I'd stopped reading his aspects of what Columbus should be...

---
From the "well, it's about time!" department - Online story: "John Kerry’s legacy is permanently damaged because of his association and employment with the Obama administration. There have always been questions regarding the work he has done, especially in reference to the Iran Deal which he helped author and was terrible for the American people. Now, members of Congress have found him responsible for even worse crimes and it is all coming apart at the seams. * Devin Nunes, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, is calling for Kerry, the former Secretary of State to be arrested for Logan Act violations. A 1799 law that to this day nobody has been arrested or charged with." -- Dang our Founding Fathers really were visionaries. Who knew that one of their insights would first be used to shine the light of truth on John Kerry over 200 years later.

I've signed a petition to help "Hilton" help itself.. but after seeing the election results for Council and the MCSB, it seems obvious "Hilton" didn't try to help itself. At this point, the only true beef I share with "Hilton" is how the high-density project is how it will affect my driving at that intersection with Wynnton Road..

Warning about those ads about trading "crypto-currency".. they promise to teach you what you need to trade them...but not what you need to know to be successful..same with gold traders...they'll teach you how, .but not teach you everything they know.

From the taking the motto, "Be Prepared" a little too far" department - Online story: "The Boy Scouts have decided to accept people who identify as gay and lesbian among their ranks. And girls are welcome now, too, into the iconic organization, which has renamed itself Scouts BSA. * So what’s next? * A mandate that condoms be made available to “all participants” of its global gathering. * It’s among the demands of the World Scout Committee for any host country of a World Scout Jamboree." -- Good grief... how does the dad of a girl wanting to attend the Scouting Jamboree explain to his daughter how to use condoms so she can be "prepared" for sleeping with boys for a week? You know.. the Boy Scouts administrators of the past were not prepared for what Scouts has become.. the people who the Boy Scouts board should have sent condoms to are the parents of the current Scouts administration..

Another interest aspect is when will the Girl Scouts drop "Girls"? Now it sounds sorta discriminatory ....

---
Online headline/story: "There’s a Sinkhole at the White House. Blame the Swamp. (Really.) * The North Lawn of the White House in April. On Sunday, a sinkhole was found on the lawn, near the entrance to the press briefing room." -- Hmmm... obviously mainscream media has won out the sewer system...

Columbus area Emergency! - restaurateur deluxe Mark Jones was in a car accident and his motor skills are threatened.. Pray for Mark, his family, his doctors, and his family of business partners...

---
We talked a bit about the US Supreme Court decision to protect employers better from class-action suits by disgruntled employees.. and how such can cripple a company and the employment status of all it's happy employees.. You know.. class action suits are not for the benefit of "the victims".. but for the legal team.. I've gotten a number of "settlement checks" for various class action suits filed against companies I also invest in, and the largest check I've ever received was less than $3.00. What would really curtail nuisance class action suits would be for the courts to only allow the filing lawyers the same amount of payment as the average "victim" receives.

From the "obviously the old school DIMocrats still aren't reading" department - Online headline/story: "Fighter pilot McGrath wins Kentucky House primary * A political newcomer knocked off Lexington Mayor Jim Gray -- a prized Democratic recruit and major figure in Kentucky politics -- in a primary for a US House seat Tuesday. * Amy McGrath, a retired Marine fighter pilot, won the Lexington-area 6th District contest and is now poised to take on Republican Rep. Andy Barr in a red-leaning district that Democrats hope will shift in their favor in November's midterm elections." -- "a red-leaning" DIMocrat? Looks like the left has fallen completely over... Pelosi asked DIMocrats not to read the OObamaCRAP bill, and now it looks like she hasn't read the results of the 2016 election results...the DIM voters want their "red" to be the blood of the country...

---
Online story: "The NFL and its Players Coalition officially established a partnership to commit at least $90 million for efforts and programs combating social inequality." -- Good grief.. this is not going to affect me as I've sworn off even watching.. much less attending NFL games... but how much more will the fans who actually go be willing to endure in the already outlandish concession and ticket prices?

Tonya Harding was eliminated from "Dancing With The Stars".. hmmm... guess all the other women wore shin guards whenever she or her entourage were around...

From the "let's make a deal" department - Online headline/story: "Mike Pence issues warning to Kim Jong Un if the North Korean leader 'doesn't make a deal' with Trump * "There was some talk about the Libyan model last week," Pence said in an interview on Fox News. "As the President made clear, this will only end like the Libyan model ended if Kim Jong Un doesn't make a deal."" -- Hmmm... guess we're showing Kim Jong Oooops "what's behind Door #1" to help him decide what he wants.

---
From the "remember your childhood dreams" department - Online story: "We know about storybook endings, but how about storybook beginnings? For now, 19-year-old Washington Nationals rookie Juan Soto is giving us the latter. Soto, promoted to the big leagues Sunday, homered Monday on the first pitch he saw in his first MLB start." -- Wow! What Little League kid hasn't had this dream... or the one about sinking a 50' putt on number 18 to win the Masters? The only thing that could have made Juan Soto's experience better was if it had been in Fenway Park.

Online story: "An Ohio teen has been convicted for viciously beating a black man during the unrest in Charlottesville, Va., last summer. * D(_@_)niel B*****, 19, entered a plea in connection with the violent Aug. 12, 2017, attack on DeAndre Harris at a Charlottesville parking garage. * On Monday, he entered an Alford plea, which essentially admits prosecutors have enough evidence to secure a conviction. A judge subsequently found him guilty of assault. * “His argument is he didn’t have malice in his heart or mind when he did this,” his attorney, Mike Hallahan, told the C-Ville weekly newspaper." -- God, help this judge put this man away for life.. anyone who executes a beating like this WITHOUT "malice in his heart and mind" does not deserve to be in society ever again.

---
Now the DOJ will be investigating the FBI's action in the Trump "witch hunt".. let's see if mainscream media is as blood thirsty to Hellary, Obama, Comey, Clapper Mueller et al..

---
Also, why is Mueller interested in whether Russia 'tried' to influence our election, yet has no interest in Obama's open efforts to influence the Israeli election?

---
I'm glad this is getting some media coverage... finally..Jackie Kennedy believed that Lyndon Baines Johnson was complicit in the assassination of her husband... and for the same reasons I've always believed.. it was the only way Johnson could ever become the President...

---
A man attending the Royal Wedding... for that matter. even watching the Royal Wedding with his fiance` was probably a BIG mistake.. weddings are expense enough without getting ideas about trying to keep up with the Royals..

---
From the "depends on which side you look at something" department - Online story: " The U.S. Supreme Court delivered a blow to the rights of workers on Monday by allowing companies to require them to sign away their ability to bring class-action claims against management, agreements already in place for about 25 million employees." -- You know.. a group disgruntled employees with a greedy law firm can basically close a business that has many more employees who are depending on the company top succeed. The irony is that if a company was as bad as a "class action suit" by disgruntled employees' lawyers claim, the company was probably going out of business eventually anyway.

---
From the "another book for both of them" department - Online l]headline/story: "Hillary Clinton backs Stacey Abrams in Georgia Democratic governor's race * Clinton endorsed Abrams, a favorite of progressives who is seeking to become the nation's first African-American female governor, over moderate former state Rep. Stacey Evans. * "A Yale educated attorney, Abrams is the only candidate with bold new plans to ensure Georgians have access to good jobs, quality public schools, affordable child care and higher education," Clinton said in the call, noting, in a reference to the candidates' similar names, that it's "Abrams, with an 'A.'" -- Hellary just condemned the whole education system developed by liberals/progressives.. It wasn't enough for Hellary to tell DIM voters her choice's name, Hellary had to tell them which letter of the alphabet her name started with so the voters wouldn't get confused.. Now, why would Abrams WANT Hellary's endorsement is the big question.. I'm guessing Abrams is just as bad at logic as she is with budgeting and controlling her own finances.

The saddest thing is that of the two "Staceys", Stacey Abrams can't handle her own budgeting, while Stacey Evans is a successful lawyer and self-made millionaire.

---
Online story: "The state of Georgia set a record for employment in April. * The Department of Labor says nearly 5 million Georgians have jobs." -- but Columbus still drags the number down.

---
Suggestion for improving direction within the MCSB...how about a 2nd At-Large Board member? With 10 members, it will take 6 votes to pass issues, and that will look more definitive to the taxpayers that decisions are not 5-4 coin flips.

---
Online headline: "Maxine Waters' campaign committee will pay daughter $100,000, FEC filings show" -- You know.. Maxine Waters could plead "not guilty ... by reasons of insanity" to charges of nepotism...

---
From the "who's on first" department - Online headline: "Democrats’ newest midterm pitch: A crackdown on corruption" -- You know, if I thought there was any chance the DIMocrats would keep this promise, I'd vote for them... it wouldn't be long before before Washington was DIMocrat Free.

---
What the MCSB District 8 situation is... do voters want the keep school issues open or hidden from the public? With Frank Myers, we know we will know what's going on; with Schley, transparency will disappear... again.. If you are a District 8 voter,,, ask yourself... do you believe students are improving or need help.. Frank Myers needs to be returned..

---
The School board elections are more important than ever this year as many issues are still looking for solutions. Our alternative school situation and SPLOST spending are two that must be given direction. We must look hard at incumbents and newcomers that believe the current MCSD administration is on the right track. Not all posts are up for re-election, but we taxpayers ..and parents can make a difference. Send Frank Myers and Mark Cantrell back to Post 8 and 6 and send newcomers Toyia Tucker in Post 4, and Sheryl McCraine in Post 2 to join them in getting more leadership from the MCSB.

---
It really amuses me that DIMocrats are using special elections in Alabama and Pennsylvania for their enthusiasm for November..In Alabama, the DIM won but 1 of 7 Congressional Districts against a Republican even Trump didn't like, and in Pennsylvania, the DIMocrat basically ran a better campaign on Trump's coattails . And I imagine Pelosi and Company will be ecstatic tomorrow that DIMocrats in three states will win their primary races.

---
L-E Headline: "For the first time in 226 years, woman to lead the NYSE" --
Excuse me, but where is the mainscream media excitement over the first woman to head the CIA?

---
From the "Amy in Wonderland" department.. I'm curious..no, down right demanding as to why Amy Bryan feels her age will benefit attracting new companies to Columbus. It doesn't seem to have helped the Chamber of Commerce to hold on to businesses that have left in droves recently.

---
Can you believe Bernie Sanders is going to run for re-election in Vermont as an "Independent"... again,, Now, why does the DIMocrat Party embrace him as Bernie has no interest in embracing the DIMocrat Party... well except for getting money from them.. Doesn't that make his claim to be an :Independent" rather hypocritical?

---
L-E headline: "Jamie Keating and Pezold company fight over name Rivermill Event Center — or is it Centre? -- And who can blame Keating.. how would you feel if you'd worked to build a fine reputation for cuisine, but have people searching for such be given a McDonald's menu.. Maybe McDonald's is dressing Hamburglar in black-tie apparel

---
L-E headline: "MCSD board adds even more full-time police officers to superintendent’s recommendation" -- Good grief.. the MCSD broke away from the CPD t-years ago and added its own "Security Department" which hasn't worked out so well since, but wouldn't students and the community alike benefit more if the MCSD used the expanded budget to aid the CPD in better watching the schools?

---
L-E headline/story: "Central-Phenix City students chant N-word, curse NAACP in video *
Wilkes confirmed the five males in the video he saw Friday were students at Central High School or Central Freshman Academy, although one of the students might have withdrawn by now, he said. But the school system can’t punish the students because the video wasn’t recorded on its property and “appears to have no affiliation with our school system,” Wilkes said, so no PCS policy applies." -- Absolutely pathetic.. these kids.. and their parents need a visit to the woodshed.. Unfortunately, ignorance like this will undermine our communities from focusing on the big picture of the future together.. and fuel the segregation-ism that plagues us today.

---
Personal note: Two incumbent candidates.. and I support both.. in the MCSB elections today, are celebrating birthdays today.. Happy b'day to Frank Myers and Mark Cantrell.. hope your wishes come true.. I will be discrete enough not to mention the number of candles the two combined will need... it's staggering!

Monday, May 21, 2018

Due to his loose cannon remarks, I am withdrawing my support of Tony McCool for Post 9 at large in the MCSB race... this is one of the reasons I do not vote before THE actual election date. I still have some reserve about returning Kia Chambers because of her split interests between private and public schools, and her business interests with possible T.A.D. conflicts as a member of a taxing authority, but I will be voting for Kia Chambers on Tuesday for MCSB Post 9 At-Large.

---
I'm offended by Mike Williams' attempted humor of a "deportation bus" concerning an important but sensitive issue. Republicans and conservative independents alike should shun him.. I do hope he does not get voter support like the DIMocrats poured on Lester Maddox for GA Governor in 1966 for his flagrant and offensive use of his infamous axe handles.. a.k.a. the"Pickwick Drumstick" as DIMocrats rallied behind and elected him on his segregationist platform...

Remember when all our Councilors (except Bruce Huff), and Mayor Tom-LYING-son fought so hard to throw out our Tax Freeze? This is why we need to elect Tollie Strode in Post 10 to compliment Charmaine Crabb who will be the next Councilor for Post 5. Along with Mary Sue Polleys, these two spearhead the "Keep the Freeze" movement that saw 62% of Columbus voters respond to positive leadership and protect our homes. I mention this because of the following Online 'Chicago Sun Times' headline/story: "Property tax hikes shock some North Side homeowners * A week or so ago, retired Chicago Public Schools teacher Josephine Sennet received a letter from the Cook County assessor’s office, and what she read inside floored her. * In the space of a year, the estimated market value of her home in the Lakewood Balmoral neighborhood had shot up about 51 percent, likely meaning a huge increase in future property taxes. Reactions have been similar across this North Side enclave of handsome, historic homes. * “I haven’t added on anything,” said Sennet, 78, who has lived in her home since 1972. “I don’t have a grand, glorious kitchen. All the bathroom fixtures are what came with the house.” -- Our freeze has been a boon to the development of Columbus.. with it, homeowners have been able to maintain their homes' values.. with it, and the non-variable tax levels, Columbus has weathered the economic disaster when the housing bubble burst as Columbus could count on the constant taxes paid by homeowners even during this time. Voters... do not forget this, and reward Councilors/non-Chamber-of-Commerce candidates who are looking at the big picture rather than a way to dig deeper into your pockets. Let's make sure we get Tollie Strode on our Council in Post 10 At Large..

From the "A Tale of Two Cities" department -- Here's another list... 2 actually..one is of the fastest growing cities in the US.. Number 21 is Auburn-Opelika, AL growing at a 14.8% pace since 2010. The other is a list of the fastest shrinking cities..and Albany, GA is the 14th fastest shrinking city having lost 3.9% of it's population over the same period. Hey, Congressman Bishop, how do you keep getting re-elected?

---
Online headline: "'FBI plant' in Trump campaign was Cambridge professor, reports say" -- You know, if the FBI cannot... does not... name "moles" it has put in EVERY DIMocrat and Republican Campaign since it's existence then the FBI Administration working when Obama left office should be canned immediately! No ifs, ands, or 'bugs'.

L-E headline: "2018 ELECTIONS * Candidates for mayor, council weigh in on crime" -- You know.. while those who did not respond should be embarrassed.. none of the answers touched on the "elephant" in the room... Let's face it.. we have too many "jury fails" in Columbus.. when juries won't convict criminals on the major charges, then criminals get back out on the street quicker..Lawyers have figured out that they shouldn't enter into "plea bargains" until after a jury is picked and the lawyers know whether the jury can be made sympathetic enough to come back with an unwarranted acquittal, hung h=jury, or reduced severity. I heard of a crime involving an Easter morning shooting death that was unceremoniously "closed" recently following the deaths of the two men involved in the original killing.. One died in another "street death", and the second died in a police confrontation. Our whole community was at risk during this time with the second two men being on the streets. Also, concentrating police coverage only in high crime areas just tells criminals that "the pickings" will be better in another part of town, and no police will be in the vicinity... More planning and understanding of the criminal mind is necessary.
Oh... and the 2 officers who took out the second killer were taken off the streets and placed on "leave".. criminals cheer!

Correction.. I made a statement that Dr Schley was the MCSB Chair that recruited Dr. Lewis.. I mixed up the dates of Dr Schley's service... my bad... but still think Frank Myers should be returned so MCSB issues will known to the public. Remember, the MCSB still has to address spending $3.6 Million each on 2 different baseball fields, and spending $750,000,00 on metal wrestling buildings that the metal material costs are shown to be bur $38,000.00... and the MCSD wants 6 - to - 8 of them.

L-E editorial endorsements headline: "EDITORIAL * Here are the editorial board’s endorsements for local Tuesday races * Columbus and Muscogee County have a full slate of important local races. Here are the endorsements of our editorial board for mayor, city council and school board" -- Once again, the L-E hows why it's imploding from its own irreverence. I really have to wonder if any L-E employees themselves will support the L-E endorsements.. I even have to question why I support some of the candidates that the L-E "likes"...

------------------------------------------
From the "more BS (as in Baker Stuff)" department - L-E headline/story: "Mayoral candidate Zeph Baker hides donors, claims they face intimidation * Columbus mayoral candidate Zeph Baker is the only contender out of six who has not filed a campaign disclosure report this year. * According to the Muscogee County Board of Elections and Registrations, he is now facing up to $1,375 in fines this year for missing deadlines to file either a disclosure of his contributions and expenditures, or an affidavit swearing his campaign does not intend to receive or spend at least $2,500 this year. * Baker said he won’t reveal his contributions because his supporters could be “bullied” were he to identify them in a public record." -- "BS"? No... ABSOLUTE BS! (Unless he's financed by terrorist groups)...I remember talking with Zeph prior to finding out the truth about his personal life and residency issues, and his recent replacement driver's license... he was an advocate of honesty and transparency.. those are "ABS" (Absolute BS) as well. When he ran in 2010, there was no concern about "bullying" among any of the men and women who stood behind him at his Press Conference at the Plaza Level of the Columbus Government Center, and there was certainly no personal trepidation as I publicly brunched with him this year.

While I did not watch "The Royal Wedding", I did notice an advertisement... and my first thought was how did the cost of such compare to a Super Bowl ad?

---
As a sequel to the marvelous "Downton Abbey", PBS should do a series on the courtship of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.. I suggest the fitting title should be "Downton Alley"

---
My bride, the Lady Carol, watched the wedding, but but did not feel it was something she should be bothered too much with, and had her normal breakfast in bed. Dry toast, of course.

---
MidTown Columbus is up in arms over the announced plans to build 94 "affordable" (with taxpayer assistance) units in MidTown... Of equal concern is traffic flow and safety are affected by vehicles for 94 residences at the intersection of Wynnton/13th St/Hilton Ave, Wait! a Tom-LYING-son roundabout will SOLVE the problem.... NOT!

---
L-E headline: "SCHOOL SHOOTING * Student kills at least 10 in Texas" -- Another tragic event of personal terrorism and cowardice.. of course, mainstream media is in flux since the coward used a shotgun and revolver rather than an AR15 "assault weapon" and semi-automatic handgun..

---
Online story: "Democrat Stacey Abrams earned the support Thursday of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, a former presidential candidate who is a hero to many of the party’s progressives." -- Blockbuster News... NOT! Let's see.. in 2016 during the Democrat Primary in GA, Bernie got but 28% of Democrats vote (and only 20.5% in Muscogee), and won but one county in GA (Echols County with barely 51%).

I did not think it possible, but Robert Mueller has a worse first year on task than Obama did...

---
Just decided Friday on my choice for the Republican Lt Governor's race// David Shafer.. based on his humor in this pic showing he is not a closet liberal/RINO..lack of a sense a humor is a dead giveaway...

---
From the "fair is ONLY fair" department - Online story: "The mysterious law enforcement official behind the leak of confidential documents on Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s business dealings is facing new pressure as sources debunk his rationale for leaking -- and one report suggests it won't be long before he's caught. * The leaker could face up to five years in jail if identified and prosecuted. * The individual, who has not been named, came forward in an interview with The New Yorker on Wednesday" -- You know.. Robert Mueller has more.. a lot more.. reason to send in his goon squads to rifle the records of The New Yorker than he had for doing so to the lawyer-client privileged files at Cohen's office.

---
Nancy Pelosi.. speaks for DIMocrats.. but not for Americans.. she's currently defending the MS 13ers that Trump called... rightfully called.. "animals".. which is consistent with her defense of the illegal aliens in San Francisco who shot and killed Kate Steinle. I believe we need "the Wall"... and Nancy Pelosi's home should be moved to the Southern side of it...

AS I have said many times.. use the Republican ballot on Tuesday.. Let's give full community support to Josh McKoon as our next Secretary of State.. Oh, and the Republicans have a non-binding referendum on the ballot of importance..of getting all questions "concerning taxes, SPLOST, tax freeze or other taxes, only be on the ballot in November or general elections". Vote "YES, bit also tell them that it doesn't go far enough.. all local non-partisan elections NEED to be on the November General Election date (and not even a 'random' date in November) Council and the MCSB are TAXING authorities, and all of the community should be involved in their elections.

Friday, May 18, 2018

I just watched a WTVM interview with Zeph Baker on the WTVM website.. Zeph was asked directly where he lives and works...And we still don't know where he lives, nor what businesses he has that are ACTIVE in Columbus. his Bolton Ct "residence" is under management of B&O Services as an elderly care facility with 24/7 assisted living patients, and he is neither the owner nor an employee of B&O, His "Majestic Sunz" business.. when "Googled" is shown to be "Permanently Closed", and if you go to his "Health Matters" address (1124 13th St), there are only Zeph Baker poster ads covering the windows. Hey, WTVM.. did you check with the City Finance Department for business licenses at his Bolton Court residence, or any business licenses he might have that are active?

---
Just got a Zeph Baker flier in the mail...interestingly. he highlighted "Fiscal Responsibility" as one of his assets..Excuse me, but he's shown no responsibility ..or transparency...in producing/reporting his campaign donations/expenses on time.

---
On his flier, Zeph Baker says he "solves complex and difficult problems for a living". One question ....where? He lists 2 businesses in Columbus on his Financial Disclosure, but neither one is a viable business here.

---
In all fairness to Zeph Baker, I do like his idea of figuring out a way to use an empty 'big box building" or two in developing a satellite campus off Victory Drive for Columbus Tech vocational courses. Of course, any local politician can work on this.

---
Well...I've about analyzed the Mayors race ad infinitum, and after all is considered, I'll be voting for Skip Henderson...by default. I really am not excited as Skip has been one of the least responsive at large Councilors we ever had, but maybe we can count on this facet to keep anymore wild-hair ideas off the table before the plethora of existing current problems held over (and/or created) from the Ton-LYING-son years.

---
L-E headline/story: "TSYS poised to take prime office space in Columbus’ Midland area *
“That property seems to have become a temporary expansion space for some of our large corporate clients in Columbus, and that’s what it’s doing again,” said David Johnson, the KW Commercial broker who is working on a lease agreement with TSYS at the Midland location." -- Hmmm.. "temporary expansion space"? Maybe we should start praying that this is a permanent occupation for additional jobs in Columbus... and we can certainly use some good job news now.. Of course, it could simply be that TSYS is "taking one for the Team Tom-LYING-son" to ease the sullen atmosphere for her legacy by major retail stores leaving Columbus altogether, and most recently the closing of NCR.

---
It's getting crunch time in Columbus for voting for the future. Remember, the local non-partisan elections are primaries, so you can't vote for any Mayor, Councilor or School Board candidates in November.

I've finished my local analysis as well:

For the MCSB:

Post 2 - Sheryl McCraine..both her opponents.. Steed and Edmondson, agree that everything is wonderful as it stands, so neither will be prying into solutions.

Post 4 - Toyia Tucker..her incumbent opponent. Naomi Buckner lacks the dedication of the issues in the MCSD, she actually WORKS in in another school system.

Post 6 - Mark Cantrell.. believe MarK is informed enough and ready to look after student and Columbus taxpayers' needs better than his opponent Eddy Obelton who WORKS in a Russel County ALABAMA school system.

Post 8 - Frank Myers.. Frank has awakened issues that the past school boards would just as soon be left sleeping. And his 85 year old opponent was Board Chair when Lewis was recruited so we can't depend on Schley being open to new solutions.

Post 9 At Large - Tony McCool...I have great respect for Kia Chambers as a businessperson, but with her child attending a private school, I do not feel she can devote all her school issues time and energy on solving MCSD problems.

In local Council Races:

Post 1 - Pops! Have watched with admiration how Pop Barnes gets out in his district to "see" what's going on.. I do not always agree with his decisions, but I'm comfortable that his choices are based on his personal knowledge and desire for a better Columbus.

Post 3 - Bruce Huff.. have known Bruce Huff for many years, and his head and heart are Pro-Columbus.

Post 5 - By default, Charmaine Crabb...  blessed we are with getting her energy working towards Columbus' future!

Post 7 - Sia Etemadi.. a newcomer, but well invested in his District's residential and business issues.. just feel it's a good time to inject more energy in the Du-district 7 Council seat.

Post 9 - Will have to stick with Judy Thomas.. even when I disagree with her logic, I do think it's a decision she's researched for herself.

Post 10 - Without a doubt.. Tollie Strode..I wish he was running for Mayor.. but alas, he's not.. We need.. COLUMBUS NEEDS this man's knowledge, energy, and commitment to Columbus' future, and Council Post 10 is a great place to start.. Politics is always a "gamble", but for Tollie Strode, I'm "all in".

For Mayor - this is the first day I'm making my decision known... but of all of the candidates, I do believe Skip Henderson is our only real choice for the next 4 years..will watch him like a hawk and review options in 2022.

Still weighing most state races, but am gungho for Josh McKoon in the Republican primary for our next Secretary of State.. Columbus should unite behind Josh so we can get state-wide recognition.

---
I was shocked a couple of days ago by a local interview conducted with a local voting official...she said a picture ID was necessary such as a GA driver's license, a military ID, or a driver's license from another state if it it wasn't expired. How can it NOT be expired in GA since laws require a GA license showing your current address within 30 days of moving here, and one must be registered to vote within 30 days of an election..in fact, we need a law making the DMV the only place a new licensed-from-another-state citizen can register to vote.

---
Republicans seem split on direction... maybe it's time to use two symbols for their mascot... Mighty Jumbo for the Conservative Republicans, Dumbo for the RINOs...as a symbol of their flightiness...

---
I finally understand why the English support the Royal Family's welfare program... you can't turn on a news program that's not fully focused on "the wedding".. all the free advertising for England's tourist industry more than pays for the Royal's welfare.

---
What is it with liberals? How can they get upset at President Trump referring to members of MS 13 as animals? Personally, "animals" is too good a word to describe them. Hey, liberals, I do not believe I've seen any of you lining up to adopt any MS 13 members.. according to you, they just haven't had "advantages" , yet you libs are not willing to offer such in your homes.

---
Now it's been nearly 4 months since 3 men intentionally parked a garbage truck on the railroad track in West Virginia to derail an AMTRAK train filled with Republican Congresspersons and their families. We deserve more information.

---
Good grief! Will someone replay the video to Rand Paul showing him side with AZ U.S. Senators Flake and McCain on voting against CIA nominee Gina Haspel.

---
From the "we KNOW what they are smoking" department - Online headline/story: "Colorado city unanimously votes to ban assault-style rifles * The city council of Boulder, Colorado has voted to ban semi-automatic rifles - a weapon used in several recent US mass shootings. * The military-style rifle is carried by soldiers around the world, and is legally available for adults to purchase throughout the US. * The city council on Tuesday unanimously passed the measure, which also bans high-capacity ammunition magazines." -- "military-style"? Even in weaponry, "imitation is a sincere form of flattery". Now, it looks like Boulder will get no hotel business from hunters or the NRA in the future.... even after the courts overturn the Boulder Council's judgment.

L-E story: "At issue Thursday was a recording Eddings made while interviewing Patterson on July 22, 2017 – without Jackson’s permission. Jones by then had been charged in Bolden’s slaying, but Patterson had been arrested only for making false statements, having told police someone borrowed his car the day witnesses saw the white Geo Prism in Oakland Park. * In July 2013 and June 2014, Eddings was cited and fined for talking to other attorneys’ clients without their permission. In August 2016, the Georgia Supreme Court ordered that he be publicly reprimanded for violating the rules of conduct. Under those rules, an attorney is not to speak to another’s client in the same case without the other lawyer’s approval." -- This story has raised a question not addressed in this story.. After Attorney Eddings blamed his then wife for his escrow accounts being violated, and now Eddings seemingly violated another person's legal rights, why does Eddings still have a license to practice law?

---
L-E headline/story: "Teen wanted in April kidnapping arrested this week on firearm charge * A Columbus teenager facing kidnapping and false imprisonment charges had his Recorder’s Court hearing delayed Thursday morning as he hires an attorney. * Markel Ervin, 17, held his former girlfriend against her will for almost 48 hours last month, Columbus police say. Ervin appeared briefly in court before the hearing was delayed until next week." -- I'm beginning to believe that Columbus doesn't have nearly as bad a "crime problem" as Columbus has a "bad criminal and jury" problem...

---
I find it hard to believe we had any Senators who wouldn't support Gina Haspel's nomination as head of the CIA based on the mastermind of the 9-11-01 terror attack feeling she was mean to him...

---
From the "the NCAA doesn't get it" department - L-E story: "(ACC) Commissioner John Swofford said Thursday the league will propose legislation to expand the NCAA Tournament from 68 to 72 teams. That would create a second set of First Four games. * The league also supports moving back the 3-point line." - Good grief.. the NCAA needs to CUT BACK the total teams to 48, and let the 17th-48th teams play into the 2nd round where the Top 16 would get a bye.. This would greatly improve the chances of top teams to make it into the Final 8 and 4 brackets...It probably would restore the TV audiences to watch early games.. I know it would with me..

---
L-E headline/story: "93-year-old makes first hole-in-one in last round * ZANESVILLE, OHIO * Ben Bender, a 93-year-old Ohio man, wrapped up his nearly seven decades of golf with his first hole-in-one. * Bender, who says he began playing when he was 28, told The Zanesville Times Recorder “the Lord knew” this was his last round and gave him a hole-in-one. He aced the 152-yard third hole last month at Green Valley Golf Course in Zanesville with a 5-wood. * He says he was in awe watching it, but then his hip started bothering him, forcing him to stop after a few more holes. He headed to the clubhouse, bringing his golfing career to a memorable end. * He says he hates giving up the game, but he knows he can’t play forever." -- What a feeling he must have, and while no one can take that away, but according to the rules of golf, his failure to complete the round means it is not an official score... Hey, I'm just the messenger...

---
L-E headline/story: "China plans to offer major trade concessions * Chinese negotiators are preparing to offer the United States a mammoth package of promises to buy more U.S. goods, in a bid to pare down the trade deficit between the two countries and to defuse President Donald Trump’s aggressive moves against China’s trade practices. * The package, which officials said could approach the $200 billion in trade concessions that the administration requested from the Chinese government earlier this month, would allow Trump to claim a major victory in his campaign to rebalance the United States’ trade relationship with its biggest economic rival." -- "allow TRUMP to claim a major victory"? Come on, mainscream media.. it's AMERICA's Victory.. and just the results of having Trump negotiating the deal rather than career politicians..

Thursday, May 17, 2018

L-E headline/story: "Macy’s sees robust sales and soaring profits * The company reported its second straight quarter of higher sales at existing stores after a three-year funk. Its shares surged nearly 9 percent Wednesday, and the stocks of other department store chains rose as well. The rosy performance bodes well for J.C. Penney and Nordstrom, both set to report their quarterly results on Thursday." -- Hmmm.. look what happens when the federal tax onus is lessened, and consumers have more cash in THEIR pockets..

---
L-E headline: "Growing use of air-conditioning adds to global warming" - Hmmm... OK liberals.. especially you, Algore... take one for the world.. take one for YOUR team... take out your Air Conditioners and report back in 5 years as to, as Hellary might add, whether it makes a DIFFERENCE!

---
Online headline/story: "Colin Kaepernick may have a sponsor in Adidas but there's one condition * "If he signs on a team, we would definitely want to sign him," Mark King, the president of Adidas's North America division said last week at Arizona State University." -- Hmmm... Adidas just became a blip in my memory... Now, if I was Adidas, and felt compelled.. for any reason... to sign KaeperPRICK, I, too, would have a couple of conditions.. that he always wear a NIKE tee shirt with "I heart Pelosi" on the front and back.

---
From the "in a nutshell" department - L-E commentary headline/content: "EDITORIAL * Kanye and Democrats * BY WALTER E. WILLIAMS * The Kanye problem for the Democratic Party is that if the party doesn’t keep blacks in line and it loses even 20 to 25 percent of the black vote, it can kiss any hope of winning any presidential and many congressional elections goodbye. Democrats may have already seen that threat. That’s why they support illegal immigration and voting rights for noncitizens. Immigrants from south of the border who are here illegally may be seen as either a replacement for or a guarantee against the disaster of losing the black vote." - Walter Williams nails it... and Kanye 'gets it"...
You know, the first chink in the armor of the DIMocrats was in 2008 when the black vote ditched Hellary for Obama.. unfortunately, Obama was not a Walter E. Williams... or Kanye West advocate...

---
DIMocrats are a one message political group... if you notice, all they advocate is for doing things differently... but not better..

---
Remember when Colin Martin ran for Mayor in 2014? Colin was employed at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and did the right thing buy resigning from the Chamber rather than be compromised by decisions and positions he would have to make. Seems like Amy Bryan should have done the same while running for a Council seat..

---
From his Financial Disclosures form on file at the Board of Elections, Zeph Baker is neither an owner or employee of B&O Services which runs an elderly assisted living business at the residence he claims is where he lives... do we need a mayor who resides in a facility for elderly who need 24/7 assistance?

---
From the "I guess who you know does not translate as well as what you know" department - - Online story: "U.S. Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, D-Albany, the ranking member of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture " --Hmmm... Congressman Sanford Bishop obviously KNOWS DIMocrats... how unfortunately for the residents and voters of GA District that DIMocrats don't KNOW economics..
