According to the mainscream media/DIMocrat coalition, it seems that the worst thing an American can be is a Christian heterosexual Trump supporter... Actually, I'm "OK" with this... in fact, I'm ecstatic that the mainscream media/DIMocrat coalition look at me with disdain while God loves me.

---
Mainscream media and DIMocrats have little to complain about any of the potential judges Trump is considering.. They gave us Kagan and Sotomayor who all DIMocrats voted for without reading their opinions that don't follow the Constitution. Hmmm... what is it about DIMocrats "passing" things without "reading" them?

---
Online story: "Rudy Giuliani has said his client President Trump will agree to be interviewed in the Russia probe only if, according to the New York Times, special counsel Robert Mueller can show “evidence that Mr. Trump committed a crime and that his testimony is essential to completing the investigation. * This approach is considered to be a more aggressive one compared to the Trump team’s previous willingness to work with the probe which is trying to determine, in part, if the president’s campaign colluded with Russia.” -- Good grief... I'd add 2 other aspects... that Mueller show that Russia influenced the donors, and supporters of 16 establishment Republican politicians that Trump wore out during the Republican Primaries just to BECOME the Republican nominee, and for Mueller to answer why he's not investigating Hellary who he KNOWS influenced the DIMocrat Party to block out Bernie.. or any other DIMocrat candidate, to get the DIMocratic Party nomination.

HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Donald Trump's new campaign slogan is from a horror movie * With the release of “The First Purge,” the latest installment in the 5-year-old dystopian franchise about government-sponsored killing sprees, you might be wondering, “Huh, is President Donald Trump still planning on using that ‘Keep America Great’ slogan that was ripped straight from the horror movies?” * Well, readers, he is." -- How cryptic! In fact, Trump could a file copy-write suit AGAINST "The First Purge", as we all know, Trump's 2016 wins in the Republican Primaries and the General Election "purged" the "politics as usual" plague emanating from the Washington 'swamp".

---
From the "hell is just been accelerated in Islamic Terrorist circles" department - Online headline: "Wives of ISIS militants file for divorce, try to start over" -- Hmmm.. if Islamic men think Trump is the devil, they are in for an awakening as soon a troops of American divorce lawyers infiltrate he Iraqi courts!

Mark 6uckerberg has passed Warren Buffett to become the 3rd Wealthiest person in the world... Jeff Bezos of Amazon in Number 1, and Bill Gates of Microsoft is Number 2 (of course, these 3 would be pikers is Mr Sam Walton was still alive and his estate was in fully intact rather than inheritance-taxed and split 5 ways with his children). Let it sink in that Mr Buffett.. savior of many American businesses, is no longer "The Captain of Industry"..Let this sink in, too, that Bezos and 6uckerberg are wealthy off the labor of Gates,, and that Gates didn't invent the DOS operating system he sold to IBM which got the whole computer explosion in action.. No, when IBM came to Microsoft asking for a 16-bit operating system, Gates had to scramble to get one together. Rather than writing a new one from the ground up, Gates turned to Seattle Computer Products and its existing 86-DOS (aka QDOS), and bought a non-exclusive license for $25,000. The next Spring, in May 1981, Gates hired away the program's author, programmer Tim Paterson. And then, on July 27, he paid another $50,000 for all rights. A month later, it was shipping on IBM personal computers, and eventually turned Bill Gates (and partner) Paul Allen into two of the world's richest men.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Fernandina Beach, FL for a long weekend..On the way back through Waycross I had a flashback memory of my youth when I was playing basketball for the YMCA and we went to Waycross for the State "Y" Championships. Our favorite restaurant was 'The Green Frog'.. now is 60 or so years later.. I googled "the Green Frog"..it no longer exists but there was plenty of history on it..particularly the owner..his name was Bill... Bill Darden...a colorful character..we met him as he came out to greet our team. What I didn't realize is that Bill Darden started Red Lobster...then Olive Garden..and was chairman of Darden Restaurants. He died in 1995...I thought back about how I enjoyed the Green Frog...and it made sense I loved Red Lobster and Olive Garden. ..GREEN Frog..RED Lobster... OLIVE Garden... yes..Bill Darden was a COLORFUL person.

Anybody got any updates on Columbus' Council entertaining wasting MORE money getting Golden Park upgraded for a softball event? Let the Softball folks prove themselves using the existing South Commons open fields and the existing softball park.

---
In discussions on Fox concerning why the left is is vilifying the Catholic woman SCOTUS candidate yet not the male one seem to puzzle Fox News commentators... I don't know why the Fox commentators don't see that the DIMs are not interested in showing women being elevated.. rewarded.. by Trump.

---
Did you hear it? The Atlanta Fed is predicting GDP growth at 4.5%! No wonder the DIMocrats are drowning in support of Obama's prognosis... that our economy would never return to it's former strength, "so get use to it".

---
Online story: "European leaders are reportedly nervous that President Donald Trump will make good on his campaign promise to withdraw American troops from the continent if host countries fail to pay their fair share for defense." -- Good grief.. the fact that Trump keeps his promises drives other politicos crazy... They all promise to pay AT LEAST 2% of their GDP into NATO, but only the US, Greece, the UK, and Estonia do it...Poland is "real close" but France.. no.. and Canada and Germany and none of the Scandinavian countries are anywhere close.

---
Have heard from but two of the MCSB members on their opinion about taking $20+Million out of the Fund Balance to pay half of the operating costs in next years budget.. John Thomas and Frank Myers...John Thomas sent an absolutely brilliant assessment of the problems caused by an elected school board.. Have asked if he will share it either as a Guest Commentary in the M/C Ledger-Enquirer (assuming the M/C L-E will PRINT it) or with Richard Hyatt's "All on Georgia" digital news. (www.allongeorgia.com) It's a brilliant recap/read.. and short enough for the attention span of DIMocrats.

From the "this sums up the DIMocrats/Mainscream Media mindset about America" department - M/C L-E headline: "NORTH KOREA-U.S. TALKS * North Korea says U.S. is making unfair nuclear demands * BY TRACY WILKINSON *Los Angeles Times" -- Good grief.. liberals have reached another all time low.. they would be happier if Kim Jong Oooops had twice as many "nukes" as he has now rather than admit that Trump is working to MAKE America Safe Again.

---
M/C headline/story: "Saturday 2nd Columbus Open Black Rodeo Presented by Southeastern Rodeo Association. All seats reserved. No cameras allowed. $26-$32 Doors open 6 p.m. Show-time 7:30 p.m. Columbus Civic Center. https:// civiccenter.columbusga.gov/events" -- Hmmm.. wonder if the Civic Center has "roped" off a bleacher section to "herd" whites into? How can our government be involved in an obvious racial/segregationist event?

---
It absolutely amazes me that DIMocrats are more concerned with a US Supreme Courts nominee's "history of agenda" rather than a nominees' "knowledge.. and SUPPORT.. of the U.S. Constitution".

---
From the "I am offended in many ways" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "USPS confuses Statue of Liberty with Vegas replica 8 They sounded like one of those perfect romantic odd couples at first. The U.S. Postal Service and a half-size replica of the Statue of Liberty – from a Las Vegas hotel, no less. * They met totally by accident. The Postal Service thought she was the real statue and put her picture on one of its most popular stamps. But the best part was, postal officials wanted to stay with the image even after realizing the mistake. * Last week, a federal judge ordered USPS to pay the statue’s creator $3.5 million for exploiting the sculpture without permission or consent." -- " a federal judge ordered USPS to pay the statue’s creator $3.5 million for exploiting the sculpture without permission or consent"? Good grief! I'm offended that our USPS operates so haphazardly; I'm offended that a Federal Judge has "spent" $3.5 million dollars of tax money on a "nothing burger"; I'm offended that the USPS.. like so many Federal offices has too many non-Trump approved/appointed personnel; I'm offended that any person/business would feel they have a copyright on a copy of a National icon; but I'm MOST offended that our government doesn't have a legal team that could not only make this point in a Federal Court, but also not win a judgment against the plaintiff for wrongful use of a National icon.

From the "only from a liberal's perspective" department - M/C L-E story: "The Trump administration said Saturday it was suspending a program that pays billions of dollars to insurers to stabilize health insurance markets under the Affordable Care Act, a freeze that could increase uncertainty in the markets and drive up premiums this fall." -- "could increase uncertainty in the markets and drive up premiums this fall"? Well, the REALITY is that insurance companies will not be able to sell bogus insurance policies/coverage that make the taxpayers responsible for the bills of others. It also means that good insurance companies can market and sell insurance policies Americans WANT to buy.

Now, if we can get rid of the taxpayers' responsibility of paying for our Congress' insurance plan!

From the " she really doesn't "get" anything" department - Online headline/story: "Elizabeth Warren lashes out at Trump for mocking #MeToo movement * “Donald Trump isn’t just trying to scare me — he’s trying to bully all women and make us all shut up." -- No, Pocahontas, Trump was pretty much calling you.. and only you.. OUT!

---
A question that bothers me: Seriously, if only black persons can use "the n-word" to address or describe other black people, isn't this blatantly racial discrimination and, at a minimum, self-degradation? I find no "worth" or "warmth" in calling another white person "whitie" or "cracker" or "honkie". A SLUR by any name is a SLUR....whether uttered by ignorance or hatred.

---
From the "I really didn't know this show existed" department - Online headline/story: "Hugh Hewitt Abruptly Announced His MSNBC Show Has Been Canceled * With interviews and features focusing on current events, Hewitt's show was one of the relatively few conservative-leaning programs on the more liberal MSNBC ^ Despite canceling his show, it's obvious that MSNBC didn't want to sever all ties with Hugh Hewitt, a big supporter of President Donald Trump and his policies" -- Hmmm... I guess Hugh Hewitt has to be considered the "Last Man Standing" of NBC or NBC's equivalent of "Roseanne", and NBC wanted to catch up with ABC.

---
From the "and he's right" department - Online story: "Wall Street trader and Sarge986 President Stephen Guilfoyle said President Trump's trade policies have China "by the short hairs" and "right where we want them" in the bid to win any impending trade wars.
* Guilfoyle said on Your World that "we've got a pretty hot economy" and that China is struggling in comparison." -- You know.. China sends goods .. dumps goods... into America that undermine industries here that are needed for national security, so if China stopped.. or even jacked-up the prices, America would not be able to respond quickly to provide for ourselves. On the other hand, America exports goods to China that China just isn't prepared.. or currently capable... of providing to it's citizens.. so in effect, China's citizens will just have to pay the tariffs that the Chinese government is raking in. In other words, American corporations can reopen mills and provide American jobs again, while Chinese citizens just pay more what they want from America. Trump 2020!

From the "learned something new about the DIMocrats" department - Online story: "Franklin Delano Roosevelt, notoriously put a ban on Jews entering the U.S. from Europe. FDR claimed he feared Nazi spies from entering with immigrant Jews, but all he was really doing was just trying not to anger Hitler before the U.S. entered World War Two. In 1939, the U.S. even turned away the St Louis ocean liner that had on board nearly a thousand Jews hoping to find refuge from the Nazis. Many later ended up dead in Hitler’s gas chambers after FDR refused them entry into the U.S.A." -- "trying not to anger Hitler"? How does the Jewish community STILL support the DIMocrats!

Sears was a great part of Columbus for so many years, it really creeps me out seeing the TV ads since Sears closed shop here in Columbus, GA.

---
And we thought electric power lines were eyesores... now we have solar panels covering huge acreage, in what were bucolic rural farmlands.

---
No wonder job growth stunk during the Obama terms..DIMocrats feel too many people working is bad for our economy. In reality, more people working in the private sector is only bad for Socialist DIMocrats.

---
From the "John Pezold can really pick'em... NOT!" department - Online story: "David Belle Isle’s campaign asked Secretary of State Brian Kemp on Thursday to investigate his opponent, state Rep. Brad Raffensperger of Johns Creek. The two candidates are competing in the July 24 Republican runoff election for secretary of state. * The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Channel 2 Action News first reported this week that public records indicated more than $135,000 in liens were pending against Raffensperger and his businesses." -- Good grief..Thank goodness we're less than 6 months away from Pezold leaving the GA House, but we still have to pray he won't do us anymore damage.. He backed Mayor Tom-LYING-son's Tax Freeze Assault,, she shunned Columbus's Josh McKoon to support Buzz Lightyear in the Sec of State primary, and now he's backing Raffensperger in the runoff ... Strike 3!

---
From the "see what happens when two GA Republicans duke it out in a Gubernatorial Primary Runoff" department - Online story: "A group of (Augusta) area military women affirmed Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams’ commitment to veterans and the military at a Thursday news conference. * The six-point platform includes a commitment to protecting veterans and military families from practices such as predatory lending, assisting veterans with transitions to civilian life, protecting military bases from closure, supporting rural-based veterans and respecting the diversity of America’s troops." -- While Cagle and Kemp spar and spur each other, Abrams can run around making promises she'll never keep, at least not intentionally or willingly, and there's no media coverage to inform voters of what she's doing.. I will vote for the survivor, but many confused "independents" may not if they consider either of them uncivil.

M/C L-E headline: "Spotted @ Muscogee County Jail 7-2-2018: Felony arrests" -- Just did a quick count on these 65 felon arrests, and counted 32 of them with the added arrest in violation of probation/parole charges. Guess what this means is that nearly HALF of the crimes that resulted would not have happened if these felons had served their complete sentences of their previous crimes.

From the "bias.. what bias?" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "US Army quietly discharging immigrant recruits, reservists * Some immigrant U.S. Army reservists and recruits who enlisted in the military with a promised path to citizenship are being abruptly discharged, the Associated Press has learned. * The AP was unable to quantify how many men and women who enlisted through the special recruitment program have been booted from the Army, but immigration attorneys say they know of more than 40 who have been discharged or whose status has become questionable, jeopardizing their futures. * Some of the service members say they were not told why they were being discharged. Others who pressed for answers said the Army informed them they’d been labeled as security risks because they have relatives abroad or because the Defense Department had not completed background checks on them. " -- "special recruitment program"? If it was an Obama program, then things have changed and America will be safer for it.. Besides, isn't the plea for illegal aliens that they fill jobs that American's won't do? Seems to me, there's probably more than enough Americans wanting these American jobs since Trump became Commander-in Chief.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Conner’s defense objects to ‘gruesome’ photos in death penalty case * The prosecution and defense continued to argue over crime scene and autopsy photos in the death-penalty case against Brandon David Conner during a hearing Friday afternoon. * Conner is accused of the 2014 slayings of his girlfriend, 32-year-old Rosella “Mandy” Mitchell, and 6-month-old Dylan Ethan Conner. The bodies of the mother and son were burned in a Winifred Lane house fire authorities claim Conner set. " -- "objects to "gruesome photos in death penalty case"? I reckon so.. I imagine the victim's family objected to the gruesome death of a daughter/grandson, but that's not going to change the outcome... let's just pray.. pray for the victims' families, and pray that the jury metes justice correctly.

Online story: "Hillary Clinton, in an interview with a British newspaper this week, appeared to compare herself to wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill while responding to a question about being a polarizing figure. " -- Hmmm... guess Hellary has a sick attraction for men who's legacy has been built by wielding big cigars..

---
In the same interview: "Clinton also used the Guardian interview to comment on the separation of families at the border in the wake of the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance policy” that ordered that all illegal border crossers be prosecuted. Trump has ordered the separations to be stopped, but critics are still fighting the prosecutions and other detentions. * Clinton said that she is worried that some of the minors may never be reunited, saying that that question is “keeping me up at night.” * “Absolutely I worry about that. I’m worried that some children will not be reunited,” she said." -- What should keep her up at night is that she supported the policy that encouraged parents to send their children to cross the border illegally and unattended,

---
Online headline: 'Is Hillary Clinton secretly planning to run in 2020?" -- Hmmm... my answer is .. YES. What I don't know is in which direction it'll have to be a country with no extradition treaty with the US because when Trump gets re-elected, he'll have "four more tears" to make sure Hellary gets prosecuted for her crimes against America.

---
M/C L-E headline: "1st half of year saw record $2.5T in mergers" -- American companies are gearing up to expand globally ... because of Trump! Trump stands up for America, and his trade negotiations.. tariffs included, will level the playing ground around the world..

---
From the Columbus Council Agenda: "First readings: An ordinance providing for the demolition of structures; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Evelyn Turner Pugh) *
An ordinance providing for parking enforcement in the parking lot of the Columbus Consolidated Government’s Annex Office Building located at 420 10th St. in Columbus; repealing any conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)" -- Well, well, well..I see we DO have a Mayor Pro-Tem.. we had to wonder since Mayor Tom-LYING-son sent other non-City employees to collect and deliver awards in the area in the past couple of weeks.

More from the City Manager's Agenda: "FY2019 GEORGIA DOT - TRANSPORTATION PLANNING CONTRACT: Approval is requested to execute a contract with the Georgia Department of Transportation for Financial Assistance to carry out the fiscal year 2019 Transportation Planning Work Activities of the Columbus-Phenix City Transportation Study (C-PCTS)." -- Hmmm... could this be the River Road clown-about.. the one promised in 2012, 2014, 2016? The one that started at $1.5 million.. was adjusted up to $2.7 Million 2 years ago .. and now the GA DOT nor Columbus Council won't even guess at a figure?

Also from the City Manager's Agenda: "COLUMBUS FIRE AND EMS SURPLUS VEHICLES: Approval is requested authorizing the declaration of five fire trucks and two ambulances as surplus, in accordance with section 7-501 of the charter of Columbus Consolidated Government. Approval is requested for the Columbus Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services to donate seven surplus vehicles to surrounding volunteer fire departments. These vehicle are deemed unrepairable or no longer advantageous to repair. Due to the surplus vehicles, the department would like to donate vehicle No. 3171 (2002 Pierce Fire Truck) to the Fort Perry Fire Department (Box Springs, Ga.), vehicle No. 3163 (2000 E-ONE Fire Truck), vehicle No. 2367 (2007 International Ambulance) and vehicle No. 2364 (2005 International Ambulance) will be donated to the O’Neal Volunteer Fire Department (Talbotton, Ga.), vehicle No. 3159 (1998 E-ONE Ladder Truck) and vehicle number 3162 (2000 E-ONE Fire Truck) will be donated to the Cusseta-Chattahoochee County Volunteer Fire Department (Cusseta, GA), vehicle No. 3026 (2006 Pierce Fire Truck) will be donated to the Richland Volunteer Fire Department (Richland, Ga)."This is almost insulting.. if the equipment is deemed SO unrepairable, why does the City want to pass them along to small Volunteer Companies? Seems to me, that Columbus would be better off by working out trade in deals for the new replacement vehicles, and the manufacturer is better off handling repairs to make them serviceable to smaller community companies.

From the "bias? What bias?" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "President Donald Trump’s administration put the interests of corporations over efforts to protect children’s nutrition earlier this year when officials opposed a breastfeeding resolution that was widely considered noncontroversial, The New York Times reported Sunday. * The resolution presented in May at the World Health Assembly was based on decades of scientific research, according to the Times. It said breastmilk is healthiest for children and that countries should prevent false or misleading marketing of substitutes." -- "President Donald Trump’s administration put the interests of corporations over efforts to protect children’s nutrition earlier this year when officials opposed a breastfeeding resolution that was widely considered noncontroversial? Hmmm... shouldn't corporations, as well as women have "the right to choose"? It also said "breastmilk is healthiest for children", yet mainscream media/DIMocrats whole-heartedly support partial birth abortions which is not in the LEAST BIT healthy for children..

---
From the "now we KNOW why DIMocrat enclaves are called "Blue States" department - Online headline: "States Where the Most People Still Live With Their Parents" -- In reverse order: Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, California, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Of the top 9 states, only Florida voted for Trump, the DIMocrats thought they had Florida wrapped up before the election...Yep.. both adult children and parents are pretty "BLUE" at living under the same roof.

---
Wiley Miller...
Shame on you!

How dare you equate the plight of unaccompanied children at the border with the lives of HHS employees handling of their families as you do in your July 9 offering.

Sure, every child at the border should be reunited with their parents .. when/where possible, but parents who send their children off unaccompanied are not there to be reunited, and children kidnapped by drug or sex traffickers need to be spared being reunited with the criminals

Non Sequitur WAS one of only two "comics" I looked forward to reading in our MCClatchy-owned "newspaper" (for lack of a real descriptive word).. Sorry.. no more "clicks" paydays for you.

---
Rumors.. sorta spread by Hellary herself, indicate she might be running again in 2020.. I seriously don't think she'll mount a serious attempt, but at this point, she's struggling to get as many donations as she can from the DIMocrats who have no clue about the reality of things. Of course, if Hellary does make an effort, she'll need a suicidal VP running mate.. .. Maxine Waters would be perfect..
