The 49th running Peachtree Road Race is a truly Great Event. Most of us ran/walked, and the rest of us cheered them and recorded them for prosperity and memories..my part was cheering and "pitcher taking"..I hit the sidewalk near the 3-mile mark outside my daughter and her husband's condo on Peachtree about 6:15 and captured the wheelchair division as it pushed up hill from Peachtree Battle to the Shepherd Spine Center.. how appropriate I thought as these brave determined people,, obviously not ambulatory, but definitely MO-Bile, struggled proudly by the premier spinal center in the country and "spitting in the eye of their nemesis". America IS GREAT!

One of my family caught sight of Columbus' Mark Jones rooting for all the runners outside the Shepherd Center, Mark Jones is a Columbus restaurant legend who had a car wreck a few weeks ago, and suffered a spinal injury that rendered him a quadriplegic. but like his food, Mark cannot be beat.. He's regained sensory feeling in 3 of his affected limbs, and we pray he'll return to a full recovery.. but either way we know, Mark will have a full life ahead of him because he will not give up.. on himself nor his faith. Keep Mark Jones in your prayers.

I took many pictures yesterday capturing what I thought was event worthy moments or people. One particular moment was a group of 5 men and women pacing themselves as a unit.. in fact it was a family unit.. unknowingly, I spotted Betty Lindberg and 4 of her family members "braving ahead" up the hill.. Betty Lindberg... captain of "Team Betty", is 93 years old (and OLDEST participant), and this was her 30th PRR run. She'll be back next year for the 50th Running of the PRR 10K. We will, too..

I have a possible solution...for every illegal alien wanting in without obeying the process rules , one Liberal can volunteer to exchange their place here (but without voting privileges) and go to the other country and try to get things changed there so no one will want to leave. In fact, if the libs can make their concepts actually work, may that country will welcome them to stay. WIN-WIN!
