From the "how too make the mainscream media/DIMocrat coalition's heads explode" department - Online headline: "Trump reportedly wants to repaint Air Force One to look 'more American'" -- You know.. From the day it debuted when Kennedy was president, I thought Air Force 1 should have be painted with the colors of our flag...Trump 2020!

---
Melania Trump wore a stunning yellow gown to the black-tie event in London... Comparisons to "Belle" surged through the mainscream media... Hmmm... how long will it be that the mainscream media/DIMocrat coalition's pet name for the President will be "the Beast"?

From the "king-sized POS" department -- H.... Sacha Baron Cohen... I can honestly say 2 things about him... I haven't seem any of his movies, and that I will never see one of them..Apparently his "trumped up" interview ruse with Sarah Palin is not his first of such.. but.. apparently he may have gone a step too far in his scam of Palin.. he posed as a war vet to get Palin to agree to an interview... Posing as a war vet".... looks like this fits the description of charges that can be issued for "stolen valor".. in my book. a serious crime..

WTVM 9 headline/story: "Tests show no mold in Government Center despite employee complaints * Columbus citizens and employees are weighing in on the decision to build a new government center. * A Columbus resident Toni Moore says, "I think it's time for a change." * "I think it would be a good idea. That building is really old and with the problems they've had with the two recent floodings, its time I think that they build a new building," says Moore." -- Hmmm... maybe local media should do a FaceBook search on interviewees before using them in local stories..Ms Moore has not grown up here nor old enough to know the whole story on the Government Center's history of a lack of maintenance. Actually, the Government Center is about 47 years, not 50, and lack of routine maintenance of a taxpayer/stakeholders' 'investment' has about brought it to its knees..Compare to the AFLAC Tower on Wynnton Road..It's about 43 years old, and looks terrific...AFLAC took care of its stakeholders investment.. What a difference when MANAGEMENT CARES!

From the "I really wish I didn't say it... but so glad I did" department - Online headline" - GOP Rep. Gohmert unloads on 'smirking' Strzok: 'How many times did you look so innocent into your wife's eyes and lie to her?' -- I didn't see/hear this exchange... but from the short time I did watch before I got sick of Strzok's smugness and DIMocrats attempts at justifying Strzok's actions as his Constitutional Right, Rep. Gohmert spoke for all of Patriotic America in exposing this weasel's collusion in undermining America's much needed confidence in the FBI.

Driving by Columbus High yesterday to see if any work had started on 60' x 40' metal-on-slab wrestling practice building (it hasn't), I noticed the trash dumpsters on the back side of the school...neither was concealed or particularly well maintained..but what got me was that the dumpsters were/are owned by a private garbage service...why wouldn't it be more advantageous for the school system, AND the City's taxpayers, to use the City garbage services? If the City cannot compete with private industry, then why doesn't the City use private services for all garbage, instead of us taxpayers having to pay an additional garbage fee on top of the property taxes we also pay?

Speaking of those metal-on-slab buildings.. 6 of the same size above and 2 larger ones. when they were proposed, their seemed such an urgency, but as the third year of collecting the SPLOST revenues has ended, it does not seem there's any hurry to get them built and operating.

Remember all the uproar and animosity tossed at St Paul UMC for tearing down an old house to build a new youth facility.. I notice the "noise" has stopped...I guess because all the work is being done by friends of the neighborhood.

---
Rode by "Hilton" also.. see no signs of ongoing activity... anybody got any updated info to share.. One thing I did notice is that if I lived near there, I would be wondering why the neighborhood had not been roused up enough before now to petition Council to get the property cleared... or at least cleaned up.. there were signs that someone has been using the property to dump grass clipping. Who knows what else can be found 'buried' in there...

From the "shades of Vince Foster's suicide" department - Online headline/story: "Woman drunk before deadly fall into compactor outside Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner's old apartment, cops say * A woman who was found dead Tuesday inside a trash compactor near an upscale New York City apartment building -- where Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin and her estranged husband Anthony Weiner lived -- fell down the chute while intoxicated, police said." -- Hmmm... Have you ever seen a trashchute at a apartment/condo building? There's no way one could "accidentally" fall onto one.... especially "drunk".

How can there be so much concern about Russia influencing the 2016 General Election when any collusion would have had to be done during the Primaries? We saw first hand how the DNC colluded with Hellary to derail Bernie, and we saw how ineffective the RNC collusion was at getting 1 of their 16 swamp dwellers to beat Trump. Trump was elected by the majority of voters of 30 states, not by any Russian influence

Online headline/story: "Atlanta Protesters Gather At US Sen. Perdue’s Office To Oppose Supreme Court Nominee * GRACE WALKER - WABE * Dozens of protesters gathered outside U.S. Sen. David Perdue’s Buckhead office with signs and loudspeakers." -- Dozens .. gathered"? This is a news story worth broadcasting? Look, of the 4 Trump "narrowed down the field". Kavanaugh was my least favorite.. liberals should be ecstatic .. us conservatives.. not as much.

M/C L-E headline: "Former Holiday Inn torn down, with property facing redevelopment" --- Noticed this as I drove by there yesterday...the ghosts of Ethyl's Gas House" no longer have a home.. This is the second older Holiday Inn to meet with destruction.. You might.. might not .. recall the Holiday Inn on Victory Drive near the old King's School of Aviation. What you probably didn't know is that it was the 4th Holiday Inn ever built. Kemmons Wilson was the founder, and a frequent visitor to Columbus in the 50s and 60s.. He was a friend of my dad from Army days, and later as members of the YPO...the YPO was an organization for younger presidents of corporations doing $5,000,000.00 in revenues (when $5,000,000.00 was a huge number... in fact my dad, in 1952, at age 35, was the youngest member EVER -at the time- of the YPO) Anyway.. this story evokes very fond memories.. especially of the time Kemmons Wilson gave me a "Kemmons Wilson Realty" pocket knife.. that was a time that a Cub Scout knife was in most 8 year-olds pockets.. My Kemmons Wilson knife became my knife of choice.. it went everywhere with me.. to school (yes, boys carried knives to school and they were 'tolerated' by the staff) to church and on every neighborhood exploration journey.. I still have it.. displayed in my secretary along with a lifetime's worth of other special memories.
