From the "help make it great again" department - Online headline/story: "Teen in viral video sues Washington Post for $250 million * The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Kentucky by Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann, 16, seeks $250 million in damages - saying that was the amount Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com and the world's richest person, paid for the Post in 2013. * "The Post wrongfully targeted and bullied Nicholas because he was the white, Catholic student wearing a red 'Make America Great Again' souvenir cap on a school field trip to the Jan. 18 March for Life in Washington, D.C.," the lawsuit claims." -- Let's pray that a jury will award Sandmann the Washington Post in lieu of the actual cash.. Bezos has more than enough cash to "afford" any other jury award, but taking the WaPo away from him could Make the WaPo Great Again!

It's not going to get passed, but the Democrats want to make Election Day a National Holiday.. I tell you what, on the surface, it's a bad idea, but I could live with it if one addendum was included.. that the 2 to 3 week "early voting period" were eliminated.

---
From the "Forrest Gump "Stupid is as Stupid does" department - Online headline: "Ocasio-Cortez fires back at critics of her opposition to Amazon deal" -- 'nuff said...

It looks like the Shicago Smollett hoax and Green New Deal have diverted attention from the Democrat Disaster in Virginia...yet it's still there.

Columbus had a double shooting recently ... one man died..what about Alstin Martin? Any updates on his condition following shootout?

---
We're doomed! That's all I can surmise when a Fox NH political reporter declared what the Socialist/Communist mantra Bernie talked about 4 years ago is now mainstream conversation.

Did I tell you hat I love "lists"? Here's another from 24/7 Wall Street... it's about the percentage of "homeless" which have no "shelter". Of course, California is the worst, followed by "the usual suspects".. uber-liberal states of Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, and Washington.

Two anomalies caught my eye..

New York was rated number 48 out of 50.. with "only 4.7% of it's homeless without shelter though NY is number worst in regards to the number of homeless altogether. (is there anyone left now that doesn't understand why NY's taxes on the homeowners is so high?)
Now, let's look at GA and Columbus, GA:

12. Georgia
> Homeless individuals w/o shelter: 37.9% (total: 3,599)
> Overall homelessness: 9,499 (9 in every 10,000 people — 19th lowest)
> Change in overall homelessness 2017-2018: -6.6%
> Change in overall homelessness 2008-2018: -50.3%
> Poverty rate: 14.9% (11th highest)

Once again, Columbus area weighs heavy on GA's image.. In the recent "poll", the overall number has "dropped" to 273 according to the United Way figures. Combining Phenix City's 36,000 population with Columbus' 194,000 shows that we're dealing with a 230,000 number so we have about 12 homeless persons per 10,000 in population. Of real interest is that the Tom-LYING-son "Homeless in 10 Years" initiative is now at the beginning of it 9th year, and "ZERO" ain't gonna happen. Wanna bet whether Tom-LYING-son has posted this on her political website?

Bernie's back! Officially, he's a candidate for the Democrat nomination in 2020. Interestingly, most of the earlier entrants are basically adopting his platform in 2016 in which Hellary beat Bernie...of course, some will claim it was rigged, but still, Bernie lost to Hellary who lost big time to Trump..Why do the Democrats feel a candidate adopting Bernie's platform..even Bernie... will fare any better than Hellary did against Trump?

---
Have you noticed how MSM-13 reports about Trump seem to be based on unnamed intelligence officials, but you should also notice they DO NOT ever claim info comes from unnamed INTELLIGENT officials.

---
Did not show a new Veterans Parkway "eyesore" this week as I want to revisit an earlier one on the 2500 block area.. It's the dilapidated trailer being used by someone as a residence... my first picture showed a dog on the front porch...now, who ever is residing there appears to have obtained a car as well.

Anybody seen a follow up concerning Apple providing the government with info on Roger Stone's iPhone after Apple fought hard against giving the same info on the San Bernadino, CA terrorists' iPhones? Just proves liberals are Machiavellian... the end result justifies the means..

---
Looks like the Democrat response to the costs of the Green New Deal will be, "We shouldn't care so why are you asking?". Can you imagine you realtor or car salesman sloughing off your question as to how much does it cost?

Ilhan Omar,D-MN, must be proud of herself..Farrakhan feels she is spot on in her rants.

I was watching a news report showing the vast horde of homeless people living in tents and make-do huts lining thruways and neighborhoods in LA.. and suddenly I remembered the mid-60s hit song of the Mamas and Papas..."California Dreamin' ":

I'd be safe and warm
(I'd be safe and warm)
If I was in L.A
(If I was in L.A.)
California dreamin'
(California dreamin') on such a winter's day"

Hmmmm... wonder if any new age lawyers have thought about suing the estates of the Mamas and Papas or false advertising?

---
Online headline: "Democrats Pass Bill to Fund College for Illegal Immigrants with Taxpayer Money Democratic New York Lawmakers approve measure to give free education for 'dreamers' -- Wow! What a perfect opportunity for California to ease three problems.. revenue shortages, homelessness and overstuffed classrooms.. California can simply give illegals one-way bus tickets to New York City!

Once in a while, things stop me in my tracks.. while in Publix yesterday, such an occasion hit me.. This.. is not just the worst product idea I've seen this year.. it may be the worst product idea of all time... correct me if you know of another.

I will never even look at Original Oreos in the same way...

Online headline/story: "STACEY ABRAMS CLAIMS VOTER SUPPRESSION IS LEGAL IN THE US * “Here’s the thing about voter suppression: Voter suppression is legal in the United States right now,” Abrams said Friday to a crowd of Democrats in Washington, D.C. * “What we do know is that in the state of Georgia, four black men and women stood in line for four hours to cast a vote. That’s a poll tax,” she said, referencing a long-outlawed practice some U.S. jurisdictions used to keep poor and minority citizens from voting. “When you have to sacrifice four hours of work on the off-chance that you make it through and get to cast a ballot, that’s a poll tax.”" -- Good grief.. and most delays at GA polls were caused by registration issues related to Abrams' "New Georgia Project" , but the reality is that the only "poll tax" involved was on the time of the poll workers trying to help legitimate voters to vote in spite of the Abrams' created registration issues!
---
Why is I-14 a Georgia issue? A more affordable and faster plan would be to finish what's already started... connect I-16 from Savannah to Macon on to Columbus, then over to Auburn/Opelika, AL to connect with I-85, then over to Meridian, MS and connect with I-20.

From the "it's not one world...Build the Wall.. NOW" department - Online headline/story: "Mexican businesswoman decapitated after ‘family wouldn’t pay’ ransom, reports say * A Mexican businesswoman’s decapitated body was discovered with a note that reportedly said she was killed because her husband “didn’t want to pay” a ransom. * The body of Susana Carrera was found last Wednesday inside a bag in a parking lot in the coastal city of Coatzacoalcos in the state of Veracruz. She had been kidnapped a week earlier outside a friend’s house where she had gone to pick up one of her children." -- You know.. this is "OK" with Democrats... with no border wall, these people can traverse our borders at will and find many more kidnap victims...

From the "too many questions not answered" department - Online headline/story: "Grand Canyon tourists exposed to radiation inside building for nearly two decades, safety manager claims * Three paint buckets filled with uranium sat in the Grand Canyon Museum Collection building for nearly two decades while tourists were unaware they were being exposed to radiation, a safety manager at the National Park has claimed. * The containers were removed from the site last year, but not brought to the public’s attention until this month, after Elston Stephenson, the park’s safety, health, and wellness manager, alerted his colleagues via email that nothing was done to warn employees or the public. * “If you were in the Museum Collections Building (2C) between the year 2000 and June 18, 2018, you were ‘exposed’ to uranium by OSHA’s definition,” Stephenson’s email read. * Stephenson said the buckets were placed in an area where tours averaged 30 minutes and close exposure could have exposed adults to 400 times the health limit, and children 4,000 times." -- Hmmm ... lets see.. 3 paint cans were of uranium ore were placed in a Grand Canyon Museum Building while Clinton was in office and weren't removed until right before Hellary lost in 2016.. Questions: Uranium ore stored in paint cans? Uranium ore stored i a National Park building? The only reasonable answer is that the Clintons and the Russians were into uranium negotiations long before Hellary was Secretary of State and 'sealed the deal' to sell Russia over 20% of the US's supply, and the ore in the paint cans were a sample some Russian agent could "test" to make sure the Clintons "had the goods".

From the "lies. lies. and more lies" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "I owe how much? Americans shocked by impact of tax law * take Andy Kraft and Amy Elias of Portland, Oregon. The couple had grown comfortable getting a small refund each year, a few hundred dollars or more. Then they found out they owe $10,160 this year. * In addition, the law also eliminated personal exemptions," -- What! "eliminated personal exemptions"? While single taxpayers were only eligible for a $6,350 standard deduction last year, that amount nearly doubled in the 2018 tax year to $12,000 for individuals. Married couples will get a standard deduction of $24,000 for 2018, up from $13,000 for 2017. And head of household filers will see a bump in their standard deduction from $9,550 to $18,000 for 2018.
