It really looks like Trump made a great decision to fire Andrew McCabe after firing Comey! No telling where this will lead, but one thing for sure, the Democrats are going to fight with everything they've got until the 2020 elections when WE can right the ship!

Online headline: "L.A. Council Members Vote 14-0 to Require City Contractors Disclose NRA Ties" -- Hmmm.. and what will the L.A. Council do about getting vendors for bidding on new guns for the LAPD?

---
It looks like the feared reduction of beds for ICE detainees is not as severe as first thought, so Trump can take the win over PeLOUSY now, and go for more in October. I find it sad that PeLOUSY didn't add room to increase the provisions for more LEGAL immigration.

From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline/story: "Trump enters obese range, but still in 'good health,' exam findings show * "After taking into account all the laboratory results, examinations and specialist recommendations, it is my determination that the president remains in very good health overall," the president's physician, Sean Conley, wrote in a memo on Thursday. A copy of the memo was released by the White House. * The memo, which detailed the findings of an examination of Trump that Conley led on Friday, said the 72-year-old president weighed 243 pounds (110.2 kg), up from 239 pounds (108.4 kg) in early 2018. * The findings pushed Trump into the obese range under a widely used government body mass index that aims to measure body fat based on height and weight." -- Hmmm-... in MSM-13's mind, despite all the accomplishments Trump has made in the past 12 months, including outmaneuvering PeLOUSY and Schumer, Trump putting on 4 pounds so MSM-13 can officially call him "obese" is what's important.. Hmm-- wonder what MSM-13 called Michael Moore or Whoopi yesterday?

Hmmm... 21 children from one Atlanta middle school were rushed to a hospital with "shortness of breath and other symptoms" yesterday.. A South Fulton County Fire Department Deputy surmise it was "something in the candy"." -- Hmmm.. no hock, Sherlock! Isn't 21 students about the size of a classroom? I'd probably be checking to see if any student/students in such a class DIDN'T suffer "the symptoms".

From the "Webster has a new picture to put in it's dictionaries as an example of 'Stupid"" department - Online headline/story: "Ocasio-Cortez takes a victory lap after Amazon scraps plans to build in New York * Thursday, the company announced it was reversing the plan, announced in November, to build new East Coast headquarters buildings in New York City and in Arlington, Virginia. The Virginia part of the plan will go ahead. The company said it would not look for a new location to replace the canceled $2.5 billion project. * “I think it’s incredible,” Ocasio-Cortez responded when asked to comment on Amazon’s about-face. “It shows that everyday Americans still have the power to organize and fight for their communities and they can have more say in this country than richest man in the world.” -- Good grief.. When her state is experiencing a "mass exodus" of its wealthiest citizens to avoid the excessive tax structure of New York, Ocasio-Cortez celebrates the loss of 25,000 new high paying jobs that Bezos had dropped into NY's lap as "a reward" for its liberal Governor and Senators. Maybe Bezos should withdraw his support of Democrats in general since Ocasio-Cortez is also on the House Financial Committee.

From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline/story: "Colorado business owner forced to close after pulling all Nike items in protest of Kaepernick * Last year, Martin decided to pull all Nike items from his store, which sells all manner of items with sports team logos – apparel, mugs, blankets, wall plaques – after Nike’s ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick. * A sports store that doesn’t sell Nike – it’s kind of like…well, Martin might say it best. * “Being a sports store without Nike is kind of like being a milk store without milk or a gas station without gas,” he said." -- You know.. if the public really had supported KaeperPRICK, Nike sales would have jumped PRIOR to the Nike KaeperPRICK campaign. All the stores decline means is that the public wants Nike regardless of whether or not KaeperPRICK is under contract or not. What's really telling about the public's reaction is that the NFL's regular season attendance/TV audience, and post season TV audiences were significantly down.. PS. my bride and youngest daughter just bought new running shoes.. and they both replaced their Nikes with other brands.

Online headline/story: "Donald Trump Jr. tangles with Sen. Kamala Harris over tax refunds * Harris tweeted on Monday: “The average tax refund is down about $170 compared to last year. Let’s call the President’s tax cut what it is: a middle-class tax hike to line the pockets of already wealthy corporations and the 1%.” * “Of course refunds are down,” Trump Jr. wrote Tuesday in response. “People are paying less in taxes and the code is simplified. A refund means you overpaid and got money back. When you pay less the refund will be less.” * “Do you really not understand that?” he continued. “Now do the effect of proposed Dem tax hikes has on income!!!” -- Good grief! Kamala Harris pulled her own version of "Elizabeth Warren having a beer" when she has admitted to hallucinating about smoking "joints" while listening to rappers who weren't even "rapping" then because they were still high school students, and now she shows she has no clue about tax refunds that are really non-interest bearing "loans" to the government. Kamala Harris and Trump, Jr didn't "tangle", Trump, Jr "SCHOOLED" Kamala Harris!

Online headline: "Ga. lawmakers fume after Michael money omitted from spending deal" -- Hmm..could it simply be payback....Payback for Stacey Abrams response? Or maybe for Congressman Bishop's support of PeLOUSY?

From the "obviously ex-mayor Tom-LYING-son didn't know these existed" department - Online story: "Protected bike lane, cycle track, Green Lane, low-stress bike lane - whatever your preferred nomenclature, cities in the U.S. have been implementing these on public streets at impressive rates. * The Wave Delineator is ideal for temporary pop-up bike lanes when communities want to create a demonstration protected lane or direct bike traffic during day or week-long events. * Custom colors available upon request." -- Good grief, liberals find more ways to waste money on things common sense says aren't needed. Here in Columbus, we have spent millions on bike trails that violate local and state laws for sidewalks, and on walk/don't walk lights and buttons to do something I learned when I was 6 or 7 years old... look both ways before you cross a street...

From the"what else would you expect a PeLOUSY relative do" department - Online headline/story: "California Gov. Pulls National Guard Troops from Border to Snub Trump * California Gov. Gavin Newsom is planning to pull hundreds of National Guard troops from the southern border in retaliation against Trump’s claim that the region is under siege by illegal immigrants." -- You know, if I were Trump, I'd send in replacement soldiers to remove the all fences from California and put them in another needed area.

---
I'm in favor of GA District 4 Congressman Hank Johnson being put on a Committee to assess the tipping point of California.. John already feels that moving all the scattered military equipment and personnel onto our base in Guam would "tip the island over" so I feel he is the right person to assess how many illegal aliens it will take moving into coastal California Sanctuary Cities to make the San Andreas Fault line snap off.

Online headline/story: "MSNBC slammed for graphic showing only white, male potential 2020 candidates * MSNBC’s audience turned on the liberal network Wednesday after it aired a graphic of Democrats currently mulling a 2020 run for president that only included white men. * The current field of candidates is historically diverse, including six female candidates, two black candidates, a Hispanic candidate, and an Asian candidate. * But the MSNBC graphic of “2020 Democrats to watch” wasn’t intended to focus on declared candidates such as Kamala Harris and Cory Booker, but instead pointed at 15 people still pondering whether or not to enter the race." -- I guess the libs are upset at MSNBC mainly because MSNBC looked at the declared candidates and recognized NONE of them has a chance to beat Trump.

New blood does help Columbus!.. We have two new Councilors, and both Charmaine Crabb and John House are moving on correcting eyesores along Veterans Parkway.. Both are looking into why "blights" have been allowed to exist for YEARS and YEARS as citizens and visitors alike ride by them... and assess Columbus' future.

---
You know.. why has Council spent so much time and money on MidTown when it's allowed Veterans Parkway to rot? How can Columbus look attractive to citizens and visitors, or passing-through traffic when so many eyesores line the trip through the heart of Columbus?

I want a new bumper sticker ! Have a Trump 2020 one now, but I'm a long term sorta guy.. Anyone seen a "Trump-Pence 2020; Pence-Trump 2024 & 2028" bumper sticker?

AJC headline/story: "Tax cut laws mean smaller or no refunds for many * Refunds so far this year have averaged $1,865, which is smaller than a year ago, according to the first 16 million returns handled by the Internal Revenue Service." -- Hmm.. pretty much "proof positive" that MSM-13 gets its "talking points" straight from the Democrat Party! Technically, there are no "refunds", just IRS returning the over-payments you had deducted from your paychecks throughout the year... and paid you zero in interest for using your money. A smaller refund just means you got to use YOUR money for YOUR needs all year rather than the government using it for free... Thank Trump instead!

M/C L-E headline/story: "THE SHOW MUST GO ON * ‘Not opening “Evita” is not an option’ Springer director says as crews assess flood damage * A ruptured water pipe in front of the Springer Opera House has left the historic theater without power and staff scrambling to do whatever it takes to go forward with scheduled performances, including their production of “Evita. * “After doing a little bit of investigation we realized that the entire basement of the Springer was under three or four feet of water,” Pierce said." --Hmmm .. water damage cause by bad plumbing in the less than 50 year old Government Center has Council crying to tear it down and rebuild, but flooding caused by bad Columbus Water Works maintenance floods the 150 year old Springer, and the Springer is going to get it fixed so "the Show" can go on.. I'm sure glad the people who built the Government Center had nothing to do with the construction of the Springer!!! Maybe we can get some Springer Board members to step up an run the school system, the City and the Water Works!

The Annual Junior League Character Breakfast will be held tomorrow *Feb 16th( at the St Luke Ministry Center. I realize it is a fund raiser, but with tickets for adults costing $30.00 and children $18.00, for a couple to take one child for an experience would cost $78.00.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Attorney’s gift to UGA law school will help veterans * A gift from a renowned Columbus trial attorney guarantees financial aid to every military veteran who enrolls in the fall 2019 entering class at the University of Georgia School of Law. * The new initiative is called the Butler Commitment in honor of the donation from Jim Butler, who has practiced law for 42 years after earning his undergraduate and law degrees from UGA." -- What a neat perspective and gift!.. and it presents a lot better image of the legal profession that the indelibly engraved image of Ken Nugent standing on the top of a Semi-rig's trailer.

From the "what's that sound from Seattle?" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Airbus to halt production of A380 as orders dry up * Airbus will cease production of its mammoth A380 passenger jet, an engineering marvel that nevertheless couldn’t keep up with shifts in the way people fly, the European aircraft maker said Thursday." -- Did you hear it? All the way from Seattle... cha-ching.. cha-ching... CHA-CHING!
