Last week, there was a L-E article on the "Top 20 salaries for state employees in Georgia: Who makes the most money?", and I mentioned that 8 of the top 14 worked in the GA Teacher's Retirement System. I've parse it a bit more: It seems like $4 million plus dollars are probably being wasted..seem to me that a teacher voted on volunteer panel could closely with a big financial group and get the results desired for a lot less than paying out over $4 Million in salaries plus trading costs on investments.

Hmmm..having observed personally on three recent occasions, hospitals need to revisit their dress codes...while I can..will ..tolerate "scrubs", I miss seeing white nurse uniforms w/ white professional shoes, but I think t-shirts have no place in a professional workplace. Too casual clothing creates a too casual work environment when patients are looking for...expecting ..professional treatment.

And that wouldn't have been noticed if 500-600 protesters hadn't shown up.
