I see that the Historic Foundation of Columbus is planning a trip to Macon to see historic buildings.. I don't know why because if it's a government/school building here that over 45.50 years old, our elected officials want to tear them down and build a newer one.

You know what I'd like to see from the MCSD...a school-by-school comparison of costs to build the many 40X60 wrestling/cheerleader buildings.. Originally, they were all metal-on-slab projects at $750,000.00 each (that's $312.00 a sq ft), yet changes in the construction of the one at Columbus High to concrete block/brick veneer was brought in for "only" $25,000.00 more than projected cost for the metal building. The MCSD needs to show the citizens and the MCSB that it's using our money wisely.
