And the winner of the Democratic Debacle, version 2a, was.......my wife and me! We watched the rerun of Hallmark's "Rome In Love" followed by HGTV's "House Hunters: Miramar Beach, FL", then went to bed.

---
The short bit I did see of the Democratic Debacle was the segment when John DeLaney ate Sen. Elizabeth Warren's lunch on her concept of "the wealth tax".

---
This last comment was was gleaned from Fox News (didn't see "first hand"): Tim Ryan, D-OH, did not salute during the National Anthem during the first night of the Second Democratic Debacle. I guess since the first night's line-up was all-White, the Dems needed to have one of their candidates display diversity to attract the KaeperPRICK and Rapinoe elements.

Just learned that Columbus' 2020 Budget, though voted on a=nd passed, is not ready for Public viewing as it's off being tweaked by someone else for things added/dropped. This process sounds a little like Obama's Healthcare Bill when PeLOUSY told all the Democrats not to read it until after they voted...

One thing we know for sure is our Council has requested a referendum for anther SPLOST to build $350,000,000.00 worth of "expenses" over a 10 year collection period. Their "anchor" is a new Government Center, and Council hopes by throwing out an extra $240,000,000.00 in Special Interest Pet Projects, Council can get political support to pass it . My view is a definite "NO"! Now what I can be sold on is a Single Project SPLOST of $105,000,000.00 over 3-years (and not beginning until AFTER the existing TSPOST tax ends in 2022). We're entitled to be upset at how the Council has allowed a City Asset to deteriorate right in front of their eyes (6, plus the Mayor, have been there every year this Century, and another for most of them), the situation is not going to clear up by itself, but it's at the point that we have little choice but replace it (it would be pouring good money into a sewer to try and fix what was a poor construction job from the 1970s), but.. but it needs to stay in the same location, and Council needs to readjust its Budgeting Concept by allocating 15% of each years expected revenues into a "Maintenance Limited Fund" to pay for ongoing maintenance and save for long term maintenance. The current process has not worked.. and our experiences with the MCSD is a prime example of poor SPLOST results.

Online AJC headline: "Abortions in Georgia decline by nearly 20% in past 25 years" -- Hmmm... talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!

---
Online headline: "Fresh off World Cup win, women's soccer coach is stepping down" -- Hmmm..wonder if she has "hirer's regret" for keeping Rapinoe on the team and missing out on the opportunity to be a guest at the White House?

---
From the "no-brainer" department - Online headline: "Judge dismisses DNC hacking lawsuit against Trump team, says claims 'entirely divorced from the facts'" -- What did the judge expect to begin with... the DNC has not only been "entirely divorced from the facts", the DNC still IS divorced from the facts... reality, too!

---
From the "proof is in the pudding... eeewww" department - Online headline/story: "Buttigieg tells Republicans history will judge them harshly if they fail to stand up to Trump * for one moment South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg looked directly at the camera and spoke to an unexpected audience - Republican members of the Senate and the House of Representatives. He asked them to consider how history will judge their responses to President Trump." -- Well.. like I said, the judge who ruled that the DNC was "entirely divorced from the facts" NAILED the Democrats' campaign plan to the wall...Bootygig reached no ears that matter ...

---
From the "victimless crimes?" department - M/C L-E headline: "Alleged Bloods gangster killed man in drive-by retaliation shooting, prosecutor said" - Don't let anyone convince you that street activities are "victimless".

Why is Trump's comment about rat infestation in Baltimore "racist"? I didn't know rats could tell the skin color of the people who live in housing where infestation occurs... Well, I guess there is ONE such rat that does...the democRAT.

Sen Warren is really trying to appeal to young voters...now she's talking about visions she's seen...wonder if she has them related to marijuana discussions....or are they holdovers from smoking peyote peace pipes when she was an Indian princess?

From the "poetic.... no, chaotic justice" department - Online story: "A Missouri man, who, along with an accomplice, shot and killed four students and a teacher at an Arkansas middle school 21 years ago, died in a car crash last Saturday, KAIT reports. * In 1998, Grant, who was then 11 years old, and Mitchell Johnson, who was 13, set off a fire alarm at Westside Middle School and shot people as they fled the building. Two 12-year-olds, two 11-year-olds and a teacher, identified as Shannon Wright, were killed, while 10 other people were injured * Both Grant and Johnson were tried as juveniles and held in custody until they turned 21. Johnson was released in 2005, and Grant was released two years later. " -- I'm sorry for the innocents killed/injured in the crash, but this does bring up the sometimes sorry state of our criminal prosecution process.. I do not care how old the children were when they intentionally shot or killed 15 people... they did not deserve to see the light of day again...

Online story: "Defending his signature health care proposal at the Democratic primary debate Tuesday Sen. Bernie Sanders shut down attacks on Medicare for All as ill-informed: He is the final authority on it, because, he declared ringingly, “I wrote the damn bill.” * “They will be better because Medicare for All is comprehensive,” Sanders said. “It covers all health care needs. For senior citizens, it will finally include dental care, hearing aids and eyeglasses.”" -- Hmmm... maybe we should chip in now to but Bernie some eyeglasses and hearing aids.. Obviously he cannot see the future where his "Medicare for All" path leads to financial collapse, and obviously he cannot hear himself talk about it either.

From the "BS" department - M/C L-E headline: "To get on California ballot, Trump must release tax returns" -- You know.. the Constitution was written to give states certain rights, but none can conflict with what's covered by our Constitution.. One such coverage is the qualifications to run for President.. let's watch what the liberal 4 on the USSC do with this when it gets to them...
