No one on Columbus Council has gotten back with me, but why was a Councilor allowed to be called in so a re-vote on an issue where other Councilors were personally involved could be made on the day she had excused herself from serving, then leave the Chamber for the rest of her absence? The next time Council or the School Board wants to sell you a new SPLOST and they tell you visitors pay a lot of the costs, remind them that the latest figures for spending by visitors was $364 Million dollars. Now, if that sounds "great", you have to remember that all total the maximum SPLOST tax revenues would be about $11,000,000.00 for all FOUR of the taxes because hotels and cars sales are EXCLUDED from one of the taxes altogether, and you know, hotel expenses are a major aspect of visitor's expenditures in Columbus.

Online headline/story: "Hackers say they took over vote scanners like those coming to Georgia * Hackers were able to use a screwdriver to get inside a ballot-scanning machine similar to what will soon be used across Georgia, allowing them to replace a memory card and effectively take control of the machine that counts votes." -- At best, it's a so I said" situation, but let's stop fraud opportunity in it's tracks.. if anyone get's within 10 feet of a voting machine carrying a screwdriver once the machines are placed out and until after the votes have been count
