Wow.. following a "rush to judgment", facts come out about that recent police shooting of a woman in Ft Worth, TX.. It appears that following a phone call to the police department about an open door of a house at 2:00 in the early hours of the morning, police responded. As they were checking outside, apparently the 28 year old woman heard noises and picked up a gun and was visible with it through a window, and the officer shot and killed her. From other reports, there appear to be some policy errors in the way the officer(s) responded... but you really have to recognize what was going on in the minds of the police officer(s).. we .. and I'm sure "they" hear about ambushes that end up with dead police officers.. and looking at the known situation.. a phone call about an open door at a house at 2:00 AM, and seeing a person through a window armed with a gun, you know the police officer(s) were pretty much on edge and concerned for their lives. Let's not lynch police officer(s) doing their sworn duties to protect based on a media kangaroo court.

I'm actually for the MCSD being responsible with our money, and consolidation of two smaller schools is a good start, but... BUT if the MCSD wants my vote.. my support, it will not get it on any referendum run on any date other than a November General Election date. This is too big an issue to be left in the hands of a minimal voter turnout.
