Council has "tabled it" ..indefinitely.. rest assured, you will be alerted again when they try to sneak it in again...Oh! Another Council inquiry hasn't been as successful... YET! Haven't gotten a response to where I can get a recap summary of the last 10 years of actual revenues received from the different LOST/SPLOSTs.. It's "rumored" (haven't actually seen an audited/documented number) that the City LOST/SPLOST 1% sales taxes generated over $40 Million in the 2021 FY, though that will probably be an anomaly result from a lot of "online shopping" when schools were shut down, and physical shopping and dining out in person were keeping families at home.. but that will eventually get back to normal, and $40 Million in revenues was not even close for 1-percent revenue receipts.

On the other hand.. the MCSD E-SPLOST could actually end BEFORE the maximum 5 year period if $40 Million becomes the norm..

In a CAREFULLY WORDED statement. General Milley stated we would get ALL Americans (that WANTED to leave) out of Afghanistan. Of course, I don't know how he can make even that "qualified" statement since I'm pretty sure not ALL Americans who WANT to leave are already at the airport , and it doesn't look like ANY Americans NOT at the airport already can get there...

Let me get this straight... there was a plan to take the last 2,500 American soldiers out of Afghanistan by August 31st, but now 4,500 American soldiers have been ADDED and grouped at the Kabul Airport... is this some sort of "new math test"?

I think I heard a number of 2200 or 2300 American soldiers giving their lives in Afghanistan over the past 20 years... and now, with 4,500 of our soldiers crammed into an indefensible area, one warhead could take out twice as many more American soldiers than died in the previous 20 years... hmmm sorta sounds like the 21st Century sequel to Custer at the Little Bighorn. Hmmm... this may be "Bluster's Last Stand"!

According to CNN news anchors, the california forest fires are due to "climate change" and it's "big oil's" fault.. Hmmm.. Then I guess arson and lightning and and electric utility poles cause Climate Change... Of course, california still doesn't allow ground debris clean-up or old-growth timber harvesting....both of which would be major ways to combat runaway fires.

Listened to my first "Chuck Williams Show" video.. it was a conversation with our Coroner and I wanted to hear about the excessive homicides plaguing Columbus...can't say it was wasted, but didn't hear anything unexpectedly insightful.. but,then again, I should realized that when the "ad" leading into the conversation was one for Nordic-Track exercise equipment.. and I feel pretty sure Chuck hasn't done due diligence on those.. ;-) Chuck!

In general, mandates are not what democracy ..or individual freedom of choice is about.. but I agree that medical personnel should be required to be vaccinated for pandemic illnesses.. Medical personnel are there to treat and prevent illnesses as best they can.. but since patients are generally not feeling well when they go to see their doctors, every patient is exchanging germs with their doctors and staff and vice versa.... and .. even already being vaccinated doesn't mean you aren't a carrier, or are not susceptible to catching such a disease in a mild form..
