Looking at the expectations... maybe even "hope"... that the MCSD may have 30,000 students enroll should raise an eyebrow or two.. a City of 200,000 should realistically have 40,000 or more students in school. I realize that there are reasons ... and "needs" for private schools, but it seems sorta weird that parents of 10,000 .. or more... students are happy... willing... to pay private tuition as well as fork over 60% of their property taxes to the MCSD when the parents are shunning the Public school system...

Well ... only in the sense that NO ID use to be required to pick one up! I remember the one and only time I voted by absentee ballot... I went to the Harris County Election Office and asked for one.. as the clerk came forward with the requested ballot, I slid my GA Driver's license across the counter.. she jumped back, say, "we don't want to see that!"... then sent it back like she was playing a game of "air hockey", and my license was "the puck"!

Officers executing a search warrant at Magee’s residence on September 16, 2019, found quantities of methamphetamine, powder and crack cocaine in baggies, a Glock 19 handgun with a large-capacity extended magazine containing six rounds of live ammunition, a .22 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, an extended pistol magazine and $3,000 in cash. * Magee was previously convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Muscogee County, Georgia, Superior Court. It is illegal for a convicted felon to possess a firearm. * Acting U.S. Attorney Peter D. Leary spoke of the conviction “It is illegal for convicted felons to possess firearms. (including) a 40-yard indoor turf practice field" -- First NO PROJECTED COSTS were provided in the story.. but what is it with School Districts that they feel tax dollars for public education improvements/needs should be spent coddling athletes and parents of athletes? Seriously.. and indoor football practice facility? Hey, the MCSD isn't any better.. they've spent SPLOST revenues on an indoor wrestling/cheerleading practice facility... and "astro-turfed" a baseball field at Columbus High, and that's just what I know of...
