A conservative's daily look at the news with an aspect of "Laugh-In Looks at the News" and "Johnny Carson's monologue" twisted in.

Online story: "PALMVIEW, Texas -- A 15-year-old South Texas boy has been charged with nine counts of murder among other charges after a van he was driving crashed, killing nine of the suspected undocumented immigrants packed inside. * Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said the boy, a U.S. citizen from Hidalgo County, said this morning he drove the van because his family had been threatened. * Barrera said prosecutors would decide whether to try the boy as an adult. * The nine killed in the rollover crash last Tuesday were all Mexican citizens." -- "would decide whether to try the boy as an adult"? Age has nothing to do with the crime, and this seems undoubtedly 'adult' in nature.

Online story: "We've never been falsely accused of a traffic violation, having earned every last second of our time before a judge, but when it does happen to us, we'll certainly want to brush up on our physics. Dmitiri Krioukov, a physicist with the University of California, recently pleaded his way out of a fine for rolling through a stop sign using the power of mathematics." -- I don't know why this was even considered a story.. the U of C professor obviously had a "BS" degree...

Online story: "
WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Monday he regrets the cost to taxpayers for his weekend trips to his California home, but says it's important "just to get your mind straight and your perspective straight." * Panetta said he'd try to find some savings, with each round trip costing approximately $32,000." -- It's about time this has hit the mainstream media! Panetta would have a better argument for commuting back to California if he were a Congressman or Senator and represented Californians, but Panetta is in a Washington job. Panetta should have brought his family to Washington when he accepted the job! Problem solved...

Online headline/story: "George Washington Named Country's Biggest Enemy * LONDON, April 15 (Reuters) - American revolutionary leader George Washington has been voted the greatest enemy commander to face Britain, lauded for his spirit of endurance against the odds and the enormous impact of his victory. * In a contest organised by the National Army Museum, Washington triumphed over Irish independence hero Michael Collins, France's Napoleon Bonaparte, German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey." -- Obviously the British 'voters' were not told that they would be $17,000,000,000.00 MORE in debt had they won in 1776, or they would have voted for Washington being its best friend/hero.

Romney just hired 300 new employees to work on his national campaign,,, how many jobs has potUS Arpege created lately?

Online headline: "Nation Marks Its First Murder-Free Day in Three Years" -- Ooops, my bad.. It's not US; guess we'll have to keep waiting for one of those days.

Online headline: "World Bank Taps Obama Nominee As New Leader" -- Ooops, my bad... Thought the World Bank had tapped into potUS Arpege's printing press.
---
Online headline: "Huffington Post Wins Pulitzer Prize" -- And I'm just as sure the HuffPost deserved one as much as potUS Arpege did in 2009

WTVM 9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA - Someone left a party Saturday night on Oakview Ave. with an unusual party favor. * The victim and host of the party reported to police that a guest might have stolen 100 hydrocodone tablets from his kitchen during the night of April 14. * He found the container still in his kitchen cabinet the next morning, but it was missing the prescription pills. * The party had a number of guests attend, but the host didn't know them very well, according to police. * He thinks one of the guests may be responsible, but there were no known witnesses." ???? I may be wrong, but logic seems to make me question whether any Doctor would write a prescription for 100 hydrocordone tablets to anyone. Could his be a pharmacy bottle originally involved in a burglary?

The latest from barackobama.com:
Hal --
Today, Diane Sawyer asked Mitt Romney if he had a message he'd like to send the President.
Here's what he said:
"Start packing."
-- Of course potUS Arpege was really inferring that Romney is a racist because potUS Arpege probably thought he said 'start packing' and guns are illegal in Washington.

L-E story: "By TIM CHITWOOD tchitwood@ledger-enquirer.com * Comedian Ron White’s “You Can’t Fix Stupid” schtick is raising a stink amid complaints Columbus High School’s principal showed a clip of it during an April 9 staff meeting. * The complaints have been amplified by emails about the incident circulating around the city. One message sent Monday bore 132 email addresses, though some were different accounts for the same recipient. "-- Not sure how Chitwood got a copy of this since he's not one of the BCers, but maybe he would like to be included in the future. Maybe I'll hear from him.
