A conservative's daily look at the news with an aspect of "Laugh-In Looks at the News" and "Johnny Carson's monologue" twisted in.

Online story: "WASHINGTON, April 21 (Reuters) - New state laws designed to fight voter fraud could reduce the number of Americans signing up to vote in this year's presidential election by hundreds of thousands, a potential problem for President Barack Obama's re-election bid." -- Whatta media attitude!!! If this is a 'potential problem' for potUS Arpege, then it's only because what's good for him is not what's good for this country.

Passed on from a fellow BCer: I have always considered the Catholic Church as moderates as a whole. There was nothing moderate about this ad. Copy and paste the URL site.

Online headline: "Iran Claims To Be Building Copy Of Captured US Drone" -- Claims to have reversed engineered it. Hmmm, maybe they programmed it with the targets we had in the one they got.. that would be poetic justice!!

WTVM 9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are investigating the murder of 19 year-old Antonio Robinson. He was shot in the head around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. * It happened on the corner of George Street and Brown Avenue.
* Witnesses say Robinson was returning from a night club when a fight occurred. Police are following several leads in the case but have not identified a suspect at this time." -- "returning from a nightclub"; 19 and returning from a nightclub... Either the GA Legislature needs to require all alcohol serving clubs and liquor/convenience stores use the readily available electronic ID checking devices to validate customer ID ages, or require such outlets to hire an on duty policeman to eye-check patron IDs.

In a nutshell, the way to help the poor is by not making the helpers poor.

L-E headline: "Senate panel to explore Secret Service sex scandal " -- Hmmm, bet the potUS Arpege is already working on a deal with Oliver Stone for the movie rights, and HBO for a new series.
---
L-E story: "In 2011, Columbus Council approved a contract for almost $5.2 million with Southeast Environmental Contractors, Inc., to do the work. * The contractors recently finished stabilizing the 1,800 feet of riverbank, Arrington said." -- Have you seen the eyesore pictures of the riverbank? If you thought the old used tire retaining wall the City put up in Lakebottom Park during then 80's was ugly, you haven't seen ugly! A repair with Duct Tape would be pretty in comparison.

Looks like Chitwood is trying to use me to increase his own column's popularity. Hey, Chitwood (was very careful, again, not to spell it "Chit-WEED" or worse). Since you have taken time to count my e-mail list, it's only fair for you to realize that my e-mail list is for friends and acquaintances who have invited me into their homes. Personally, it's rare I get through a complete column of yours before losing interest, but I'm sure there are others that with lower standards that enjoy your stuff.

Some people like to "snipe" while concealed in the shadows.. those people are not worthy of having their comments addressed nor published.
For info sake.. recently, viewer numbers have eclipsed 29,000 on six continents (all but Antarctica).
