Online headline: "Arkansas judge halts 8 executions as inmates challenge law *  The inmates are challenging a new Arkansas law that allows the state to withhold any information that could publicly identify the manufacturers or sellers of its execution drugs." -- Good grief.. why is anyone given the death sentence in a court of law given rights to challenge the law any further!

---
Online headline: "Was Dr. Ben Carson really held at gunpoint at Popeyes?" -- Good grief.. now mainscream media asks questions.. where were the mainscream media doubters when Hillary and Bri(_*_)n Willi(_*_)ms claimed they were under fire? Oh, I guess mainscream media only challenges the word of someone who is truthful.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Hillary Clinton Is About To Get Two Key Chances To Quiet Her Skeptics" -- Good grief.. Trial balloon 1 and trial balloon 2?  An honest person can..will.. set the record straight the first time.. Two times will not help HILLsbury DOUGHgirl with her issues...

I have three of my children (two daughters and a son-in-law) in 3 different GA universities. They are all complaining about how crappie their Internet service is on campus..This sorta gets me PO'd.. I pay an pretty hefty semester fee for each of them for what the Universities seem really proud of..at least it seems that way with how much value they think I should pay..To me, I get better home home service at home for about a third I pay for theirs at school. Something needs to be done about those University fees.

Remember yesterday when I complained about the U of West GA sending my daughter a refund check for a dropped lab class when it should have come to me.. Well, yesterday I got a bill form the U of West GA  for $30.00 for some sort of miscellaneous charges for some sort of extras the U of West GA could contrive.. What's revealing of the bill is that it shows the refund! Why didn't the U of West GA deduct the extra $30.00 in charges from the refunded amount? I shudder to think that my daughter is going to college and majoring in business from a college that obviously doesn't have good business practices!

Our local Chamber of Commerce just endorsed Mayor TomLYINGson's drive to remove the property tax freeze that protects individual property owners from incessant and unwarranted tax increases. What wasn't said was that the Chamber if Commerce has its very existence at stake should the Mayor and Council decide to stop funding if with tax dollars (in excess of $1,000,000.00 annually I have been informed by a very knowledgeable source). Shame on the L-E for not mentioning this fact.

---
If the average property tax on property is $701.00, then there has to be over 142,600 pieces of property in Muscogee County to generate the $100,000,000.00 + the City shows in Property Tax Revenues in the City budget alone.. Remember, the City only collects about 40% of the total.. the MCSD collects the the Lion's Share because it doesn't give homestead exemptions.. Also, you have to add in all the property owned by the City, the MCSD, Churches, exempt  non-profits, and CSU to the number of properties that have property taxes assessed... guess it's true... figures don't lie, but liars figure a lot... what about it Mayor TomLYINGson?

---
Note to above: I just ran my address through the website that carries the above :info" and found out that the taxes shown are only what the City of Columbus collects for itself.. The Lion's Share portion goes to the MCSD, which is about 50% more than what the City collects! Do not believe any figures Mayor TomLYINGson gives out nor any support of the Chamber of Commerce!

Online headline: "GOP Moves To Pass Bill To Ensure That Our Troops Get Paid Even If Obama Defunds The Military" -- Excuse me.. why is this even an issue? Our military should be paid before the President or any Congresspersons get their checks.. you know, can you imagine George Washington accepting a pay check before his frontline soldiers?

Online headline/story: "Harvard University Study Reveals Astonishing Link Between Firearms, Crime and Gun Control * According to a study in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, which cites the Centers for Disease Control, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the United Nations International Study on Firearms Regulation, the more guns a nation has, the less criminal activity. *  “The study was overlooked when it first came out in 2007,” writes Michael Snyder, “but it was recently re-discovered and while the findings may not surprise some, the place where the study was undertaken is a bit surprising. The study came from the Harvard Journal of Law, that bastion of extreme, Ivy League liberalism. Titled Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide?, the report “found some surprising things.” -- "overlooked when it first came out in 2007"? ..Yeah.. right... Buried is more like it.. Can you imagine how this would have played out with Harvard Law grad Obamageddon claiming we need guns confiscated from law abiding American citizens/patriots?

Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "  As drug costs go up, don’t forget congressional Republicans are responsible for voting not to allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices. Another gift from them to the drug companies." Oh was Reagan so right... liberals just know so much that isn't so...and the L-E should be ashamed of printing such mis-info... unfortunately, the L-E is not.

L-E guest commentary: "Columbus Day mythologies" -- Good grief.. we're celebrating Christopher Columbus, we're marking of the number of years since he landed in our proximity which lead to colonization and growth into being the world's greatest country.. What we should be concerned about is whether we can recover our status that Obamageddon has destoyed.
---
L-E story: " In observance of Columbus Day on Monday, the city of Columbus will not pick up garbage or recycling. *  Households that usually have their garbage and recycling collected on Monday will have it picked up on Wednesday. Otherwise, all scheduled pickups for next week will be normal." -- Wait a minute.. why are north Columbus residents not getting their garbage picked up on Tuesday instead of Wednesday? The old holiday schedule always pushe dthe pick up dates equally.. Now, north Columbus residents will have 9 days since the last pick up, while south Columbus will only have 7 days since its last pick-up.

You know.. baseball has lost me as a follower.. I remember the joy it brought to me when I was growing up. but it just doesn't do that for me anymoe. I'm not sure exactly when the final blow happened, but I realized it earlier this week when I learned that the Houston Astros won a wild card game to get into the American League playoff series.. I didn't realize until then that Houston moved from the National League to the American League in 2013.. Now.. and be honest.. how many are learning this today?

L-E headline: "VW may compensate diesel owners for loss of value" -- Good grief.. VW owners got a better car.. a more powerful and "funner" car to drive.. any rebate is simply a :thank you" from VW for buying their best version of the car.
