Glenn Frey... "take it easy"...

---
You know, Republicans should publish the costs of all government programs, especially the entitlement ones, so voters can see the waste and political aspects . Even welfare recipients would be shocked at how little of the government expenditures actually make it to those in need.. the lion's share goes to overhead/waste and salaries/benefits of the program.

Online headline: "Rare celestial event to bring 5 worlds together * Stargazers will be treated to a special sight starting early Wednesday, as Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn align for the first time in more than a decade. --  "first time in more than a decade"? Sounds like God can do something else that our political parties cannot.

---
Super Bowl number 50 is upon us soon.. seems strange that after 49 years, the NFL is abandoning the Roman Numeral system of denoting the event.. guess they don't want this to be known as "SuperBowl L"... and have the loyal fans who cannot afford the tickets remember that the NFL thinks they are the "L"...as in "LOSERS".

Hmmm.. when you think about it.. maybe the NFL is just trying to be politically correct... most Super Bowl games are anti-climatic dud.. especially compared to the Super Bowl ads, so I guess the NFL doesn't want "Super Bowl "L"" to be remembered as the "Loser Palooza"..

---
Online headline: "Oscars 'heartbroken' over lack of diversity, Academy pledges 'big changes'" -- Good grief.. wasn't "affirmative action" shot down by the US Supreme Court?  Maybe Hollywood will set up "special set aside" divisions such as "Asterisk Oscar"  which will set up demand fo eventual divisions known as "LGBTQ Oscar", or "Oscarettes" for simply participation. Who thinks that Oscar Night is already too long as it is? Can set aside diversity for the NBA, NFL, Soccer or the PGA be far behind? Oh.. I know,, how about a "diversity division of "Black Lives Matter"? It could be called "All Lives Matter".

---
Online headline: "Biden faces huge challenge in his new difficult job * President Barack Obama tasked Vice President Joe Biden with a potentially groundbreaking job last week, but it may not even be possible." -- Hmmm .. curing cancer ,, NERO-bamageddon assigned this to Bleep Veep Biden, but he should have given it to Algore.. Algore could have added "I invented the cure for cancer" to his list of other accomplishments: ""I invented the Internet", "Love Story was about Tipper and me", and "I stopped Global Warming".

---
Online headline: "Bill Clinton's hand tremble raises health questions * Some supporters who gathered to hear Bill Clinton speak at a campaign event this weekend were concerned." -- Good grief.. this was probably contrived to evoke sympathy for G.I. JILLary ! Slick Willie often bit his lower lip to evoke "tears on call" whenever he needed to look sympathetic in the camera. . or to distract media attention and make himself look victimized.

---
So Justin Bieber is now 21... doesn't that mean we can write him off as a former child star?

---
You know.. since "retro" works for fashions and music, why not cars? I wish one manufacturer would find "inspiration" in retro designing a full sized car based on 1960s' "parade float" vehicles.. you know, something that can carry a family and their luggage on a vacation trip. I'm tired of driving a modified camper truck.

Update on British petition to ban TRump.. I got contacted a couple of weeks t=ago to let me knoiw of the progress of the petition.. at that time, I "came clean" and e-mailed them back that I wasn't eligible to sign as I wasn't a British subject, but also showed ":them" how easy it was to sidestep such qualifications due to the total lack of security on the petition site. Yesterday, I did get another e-mail saying I'd been outed as not being eligible.. ..wonder if I made the British "banned" list myself?

Online headline: "City with the lowest tax rate in America is ..."-- ....not Columbus!

---
Found out an interesting aspect while reading the article to the above headline.. there are cities that have their own "income tax" in addition to state income taxes (federal taxes were not included). The most glaring one was Washington, D.C... You know,, since probably most of the salaries are paid with taxes taken from our pockets, doesn't that make an income tax on Washington, D.C. salaries seem weird? Sorta like taking our money out of somebody else's pocket... One other note...the 15th lowesy on the list had a city income tax as well as sales taxes and real estate taxes and had a total tax structure of 12.3% of gross income.. and it's still lower than what Columbus pays in local/state taxes.. remind the local Council and School Board members... AT THE BALLOT BOX! Oh.. for the record.. cities such as New Orleans, Denver, Miami, Las Vegas, Honolulu, and Washington, D.C. have lower combined local and state tax structures than Columbus, GA...  shameful.

Online headline: "Gas prices fell below $1 in Michigan: -- Are you listening, COLUMBUS!

L-E headline/story: "Tomlinson to give State of the City address Tuesday  *  As she has in past addresses, she will likely touch upon her proposal the “thaw” the city’s property tax assessment freeze. Unlike previous attempts to remove the freeze, Tomlinson’s plan would be to sunset the freeze, allowing anyone under the freeze to remain under it for as long as they want to. But, should voters approve the referendum, which Tomlinson hopes will be on the November ballot, after Jan. 1, 2017, any transfer of property, by sale or probate, that property would come out from under the freeze and be in a new more common and traditional market value system."  -- You know.. all this does is set up a lawsuit for a new homeowner to challenge the unfairness of two different tax statuses on neighboring homes. and there will no longer be the strength of a constitutional amendment to protect those under the freeze.. This is what Mayor TomLYINGson has wanted from the gitgo.. to break the constitutional amendment that the freeze was supported in.

Oh...You would think that a responsible mayor would address the need to forgo "foillies" and get our city's "fund balance" repaired.

---
L-E headline/story: "Tomlinson to give State of the City address Tuesday *  Tomlinson may speak of the success of the new Rapid Resolution program council passed this year, which has allowed the county jail’s population to reduce to the point that the city has been able to close one wing of the jail." -- You know.. don't you think it's a "little soon" to take accolades for a new program that hasn't had time to be measured as to its long term affect on the city? As I recollect, known criminals are more likely to commit more crimes (and additional) when back on the street rather than while incarcerated.

---
L-E headline/story: "MLK breakfast focuses on paving the way for others * The Rev. Otis Moss III, senior pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, brought that message to Columbus as keynote speaker at the 30th Annual  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Award Breakfast, which drew hundreds of people to the Columbus Convention and Trade Center." -- Hmmm....How comforting is it to bring the pastor approved by the flock that was mentored by the Rev. Jeremiah "G** D*mn America" Wright?

Fox News has got to either eliminate Alan Colmes from being on any shows, or hook him up to a lie detector triggered taser. When Clinton's impeachment was brought up , he claimed he wasn't convicted by the Republican held Senate. What BS! The 55 Republicans voted correctly for conviction, but the 45 Democrats couldn't produce one ethical vote of the additional  12 needed to get the 2/3rds required total for conviction.

The RNC and the DNC are about as different as bookends. They look the same, but just look the opposite way. The RNC is trying to promote any body but Trump, while the DNC is trying to promote nobody but JILLary. Just look at how the DNC overruled MSNBC by putting O'Malley on stage after he failed to garner enough polling percentage points to qualify. The DNC did not want JILLary alone on stage with Bernie, nor exposed to extra questioning time that eliminating O'Malley would throw into the mix.

---
A JILLary spokesperson says it's "unfair" that JILLary is being publicly adjudicated about her e-mails and the ongoing FBI investigation. Good grief ..what's happening to JILLary is straight out of the mainstream playbook usually reserved for her opponents...

---
L-E headline: " Ten U.S. sailors detained by Iran last week were taken at gunpoint after straying into Iranian waters, the Defense Department said in the first formal account of the confrontation in the Persian Gulf." -- You betcha! NERO-bamageddon's "rules of engagement" prohibit our soldiers from shooting until the enemy shoots first.. The Iranians have figured out that they can simply approach our military men without shooting and bring in heavy armaments up close, so our soldiers either have to "surrender" or get blown up by the point blank first shot of the terrorists' heavy armaments..

L-E headline/story: "Enrichment Services Program recruiting families for school year * Information needed for Head Start and Early Head Start Applicants:
   • Child’s birth certificate
   • Current Immunization Certificate (GA 3231)
   • Social security cards for all household members
   • Child’s health insurance card
   • Proof of family income for past 12 months (W—2, 1040, Child Support, SSI, Paystubs)
   • Parent photo ID Expectant mother applicants:
   • Proof of pregnancy
   • Mother’s birth certificate
   • Social security cards for all household members
   • Health Insurance card
   • Proof of family income for past 12 months (see above requirements)
   • Photo ID

-- Hey... how about the SSN of the baby daddy if there isn't a husband in the family? With that, Proper steps could be made to hold men responsible for fathering children.

---
Maybe Planned Parenthood should focus on neutering men who have fathered a child out of wedlock, and haven't taken responsibility for the child or to the mother.

---
L-E "headLIE"/story: "No injuries reported in Columbus Circle K armed robbery * One of the suspects pressed a 9mm pistol against a victim's back" -- Good grief.. the clerk/victim will never be the same...isn't that an injury?

---
Kool-Aid intoxicated and stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   Some folks wouldn’t like Obama if he walked on water like Jesus Christ. The fact that you don’t believe his “crocodile” tears are real says more about you than about him." -- "The fact that you don’t believe his “crocodile” tears are real"?  Hmmm...you know.. this reveals that the "soundoff" writer him/herself acknowledges NERO-bamageddon's "tears" as crocodile ones. yet chastises those who see it as the truth...

---
L-E headline/story: "Life jacket saves kayaker who fell into river  * A kayaker didn’t suffer any serious injuries but had his friends and authorities worried Monday afternoon when he flipped out of his boat and wasn’t seen for 45 minutes, according to witnesses. *  He was traveling along the Chattahoochee River with two friends when the rapids caused his boat to capsize at RiverWalk Island, witnesses said." -- Somewhere, there has to be acknowledged that kayaking in 40 degree water is not in the best interests of the kayakers or the public.. I hope the kayaker is billed for all the emergency response expense that taxpayers pay for.

---

From above story: You know.. in his litigious time, I'll bet the kayaker could sue Mayor TomLYINGson for creating an "attractive nuisance" without a safety fence to keep children (and childish adults) out of the water during off seasons.
