Online headline/story: "The editor of National Review organized an 'anti-Trump
manifesto' that hit newsstands Friday -- and the 2016 front-runner is fighting
back. * Trump "is not deserving of conservative support in the caucuses and
primaries. Trump is a philosophically unmoored political opportunist who would
trash the broad conservative ideological consensus within the GOP in favor of a
free-floating populism with strong-man overtones," an article written by the
Editors titled "Against Trump," -- You know, even Buckley has been mesmerized
into a coma about what conservatism is..probably explains his waning influence
as an editorialist and magazine.

Ah! Buffalo Wild Wings and its
"Gun Ban" sign...my bride and I used to go there and enjoyed the buffalo chicken
salads.. Now we don't go there because of the "Gun Ban" sign.. I'm an owner, but
generally do not carry, but I'd rather know law abiding citizens around me are
carrying in case some street thug who cannot read the "Gun Ban sign" comes in
with one.

Online story: "Former president Bill Clinton,
campaigning for his wife in New Hampshire Wednesday, bluntly admitted how much
more difficult than expected Hillary Clinton's race for the Democratic
nomination has become." -- You gotta be kidding.. if Slick Willie wasn't to keen
at having only her for himself, what makes him feel he can convince other folks
that they want her for themselves?
---
Interestly, there's an icon on
my browser homepage asking me to "click on it" and say "I'm with Hillary" --
Needless to say, I won't click on it, but I wonder even Bill has clicked on
it.
---
Did you see the report about the four Million Dollar Plus
estates that the Clintons have bought since he left office? Oh, and did you see
the report about how buying expensive homes is a favorite way big time criminals
like to launder money? Trust me..these are separate
articles.

Online headline/story: "North Korea detains U.S. student
on New Year trip for 'hostile act' * Otto Frederick Warmbier, 21, of the
University of Virginia, was in North Korea for a five-day New Year trip and was
detained at Pyongyang airport on Jan. 2 ahead of a flight back to China, said
Gareth Johnson of Young Pioneer Tours, which organized the visit." -- First ..
why is a US company allowed to arrange travel packages into N. Korea to begin
with? My guess is it's owned/controlled by a NERO-bamaggedon or Clinton
supporter but I'm only speculating. Now, let's just pray that Kerry does not
lead a negotiating team.. he'll give Kim Jong Un ICBMs to carry the nuclear
weapons N Korea already has developed.

Online story: "A recent
high school graduate says he was turned away from the Marines because his
Confederate flag tattoo made him ineligible. * "I kind of felt like I had a plan
for my life, and now that I can't go, I am not sure where I stand," the
18-year-old told KARK. * Anthony Bauswell says he went to a recruiting center on
Monday to enlist and when he told them about the tattoo, the recruiter said,
"DQ, just automatically, DQ." -- "automaticically DQ"? Talk about "profiling"!
Now does the US Marines have the same policy about recruits with "gang tattoos",
tattooed Aremaic words, or "Black Lives Matter" tattoos et
al?

Online story: "Though it is customary to send flowers in honor
of the recently deceased, the obituary of Jeffrey Cohen, a Pittsburgh
chiropractor, notes a preferred alternative. * The recent announcement of his
death and funeral service closes with the request, "Jeffrey would ask that in
lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Donald Trump." -- Of course, no one
actually knows whether Cohen made this request or whether it was by a relative,
but one probable thing is that Jeffrey Cohen has been a lifelong Democrat, and
will continue to a be an afterlife Democratic voter. The Republicans should
specifically scrutinize PA voter rolls for Jeffrey Cohen
...forever!

I just saw the lyingest statement I think I've ever
heard...G.I JILLary and Slick Willie and Robert Gibbs and NERO-bamageddon
included. Heck even throw in John Edwards and Algore.. According to CarMD,
Chrysler has the 5th best record on average repair costs to buyers dating from
1996-2015.. All I can add is that the Mercedes-Benz vehicles made when Chrysler
owned it were not include. WE got rid of one we bought in 2004, and what we
spent outside of warrenty repairs are enough to have bought a new n=mid-sized
Chrysler.

Online headline: "Arnold Schwarzenegger visits Scotland,
cycles wrong way down busy road" -- Just a stupid thing Americans do here as
well.
---
Online story: "A Fulton County Superior Court ruling has
put the APD’s body camera program on hold for the foreseeable future. The
decision Wednesday by Judge Thomas Campbell is the result of a lawsuit brought
against the city by a Decatur-based manufacturer of body cameras that accuses
the APD of steering its body camera contract toward two other companies in what
the lawsuit calls an “erroneous, arbitrary, [and] capricious” manner." -- What
BS.. what's happened is that ambulance chasing lawyers no longer can get
settlements on wrongful accusation of police
impropriety!

Hmmm..you know, if Bernie becomes president, and
every one goes to college free, how can Harvard survive?
---
Let me
get this right...liberals are opposed to American companies going to foreign
countries and giving foreigners good jobs and economic security, yet support
foreigners coming here illegally and taking away job opportunities of Americans.
You know, I'm beginning to understand JILLary's battle cry if "What Difference
Does It Make", and I'm a little bit scared.
---
G.I. JILLary says a
president has to be based in reality...Hmmm..hey, JILLary..when you're comparing
yourself to Bernie, what difference does it make!
---
Online headline:
"Japan absolutely refuses to take in muslim refugees, says it must look after
its own citizens FIRST" -- Hmmm.. wanna bet that Bernie and Hillary argue who
will be the first to ship Japanese-Americans back to Japan and give their spots
and jobs to Syrian refugees?
---
OK.. looks like GA DOT officials are
out marking the area that will become the River Road, Baradley Park Drive/ Green
Island Dive/ Cascade Road "roundabout".. funny.. the marl]kers are nowhere close
to the original measurements I saw from Glenn Davis.. Looks like they may even
infringe on his property, but there will be about three houses that will not be
able to get out of their driveways during "rush hours". Seeing how long it's
taken for the Moon Road, Whittlesey Road widening, and Veteran Parkway
improvements, school buses and logging trucks may have to find alternative
routes for the next 3 or 4 years. The simple solution, and would only
cost

Online story: "The Buffalo Bills have hired Kathryn Smith to
be their special teams quality control coach, making her the first full-time
female member of an NFL coaching staff." -- Hmmm..now the big question...is she
getting equal pay?

L-E headline/story: "STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
* ‘We are too big to be small’ * Mayor Lowe says Phenix City continuing to surge
under new council * Over the last four years, Phenix City has reduced debt and
ended 2015 with a $9.2 million fund balance in a growing city * Since 2012,
Lowe said the fund balance is a good measure of the city’s health, increasing
from $6.5 million in 2012 to $9.2 million at the end of 2015, a 42 percent
increase. * Long-term debt for the city has been reduced from $54.4 million
since 2012 to $51.4 million * " -- I asked Mayor Lowe when he spoke at a First
Baptist Church of Columbus event a year plus ago if he would consider moving to
Columbus and running for mayor here.. He laughed and said he was content in
Phenix City.. How about all you BCers contacting him and talk him into changing
his mind..

Incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I wonder
why Democratic town meetings look more like America, whereas Republican meetings
look more like NASCAR events. Just saying." -- Probably because the Democrats
won't let anyone in without being chosen to get a ticket for the
event.
---
Incredibly double-stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I love
Leonard Pitts’ column! His column in the Sunday paper is the first thing I look
for. I hope the Ledger-Enquirer keeps him." -- So, he'she is the one! Of course,
if we look closer, it's a s\"soundoff" sent in by Pitts
himself.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Praise undeserved is satire
in disguise.” — Henry Broadhurst, English politician (1840-1911).-- Oh! Now we
know why NERO-bammagedon was given the Nobel Peace Prize!
---
From the
L-E's Today in history" feature: "In 2008, actor Heath Ledger was found dead of
an accidental prescription overdose in New York City; he was 28." -- Good
grief.. there are deaths by overdose, but calling one "accidental" is wrong..
It's no accident when one chooses to put too many in his body.
---
L-E
opinion piece: "Compensation for Iran hostages is belated justice" -- What has
brought this up 35 years later? and, why is compensation deserved? I'm already
to replace Isakson if somebody challenges him in the primary, so step up you
political scavengers! Oh, and if such is deserved, why hasn't it been withheld
from the Iranian moneys NERO-bamageddon just returned to them instead of funds
from a French bank?
---
From the "let's look at it only from the
viewpoint that suits out agenda best" department - L-E headline: "What if your
relatives lived in Cuba?" -- Hmmm... OK.. how about what if your relatives died
in the Spanish_American War to get freedom that Castro took from them? Or, What
about having a relative who was an American soldier who went there to help
Cubams free themselves from Spain only to later see Castro take away that
freedom.. Castro is/was a Communist dictator. No mercy to him or his regime.
