That TCU comeback victory against Oregon will go down as "the game of games"...think about it.. Bram Kohlhausen, a 5th.year senior QB who had never started a college game carried his team to a 31 point second half rally and a triple overtime victory over one of the previous year's BCS finalists. He has thrust himself out of obscurity and into TCU history. And don't discount the beliefs of Texas Christian University Coach Gary Patterson.  He stuck to his guns and benched his start QB in hopes his team would learn form it, and turned it all over to God. God is good.. all the time!

Online headline/story: "Militia members take over wildlife refuge building in Oregon *  A militia group is taking a stand in Burns, Oregon after the prison sentencing of two Oregon ranchers. * Some militia members broke in and camped out in the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Building, after a peaceful protest nearby. The building was unoccupied by employees due to holiday break.  *  Father and son Dwight Hammond, Jr. and Steven Hammond who also were at the initial protest, burned 176 acres of leased governmental land for cattle in what they claimed was to cut back on invasive plants. *  Previously, U.S. District Judge Michael Hogan, who is now retired, found that a five-year term would violate the constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment because it’s “grossly disproportionate to the severity of the offenses here.  * Federal prosecutors challenged those sentences, and the 9th Circuit agreed that judges don’t have the “discretion to disregard” such requirements.”. *  At the Oct. 7 re-sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken said the ranchers cannot disregard the law in regard to setting fires on BLM property. * “The rules are there for a reason,” she said." -- "the rules are there for a reason"? How the hell does this kind of "reasoning" pass muster under the NERO-bamageddon administration? Throw in NERO-bamageddon's penchant for releasing drug felons because he feels the sentences were "tough", and it looks like there is about to be civil war in America again.

Just got back from the gulf coast.. it's interesting what you find out when you leave Columbus.. especially when it comes to gas prices. $1.99 gas, which is generally 30-cents higher than Columbus,  was plentiful in the Panhandle.. even at the stations at  the 331/I-10 intersection, And on 431/231 South.. still in Russell County.. gas was available for $1.679. ... $1.679!.

Online headline/story: "White House: more time needed for new Iran missile sanctions *  The administration had additional diplomatic and technical work to complete before announcing any new sanctions related to the missile program, but the delay was not a result of pressure from Tehran," -- " but the delay was not a result of pressure from Tehran"? Good grief.. we've actually heard a "truth" from NERO-bamageddon!  There was no pressure from Iran.. there was just total lack of respect from Iran!

---
Online headline: "Jackson, Miss. councilman suggests throwing 'rocks, bricks and bottles' at police" -- Hmmm.. maybe a "Trump" fence around the Councilman's district is the answer.. no police officers will go in, and no civilians/visitors will be allowed out.

---
Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley failed to qualify for Ohio's primary ballot after falling short of the signatures needed to appear before the state's voters, a spokesman for the state's elections chief said Thursday.  * O'Malley needed 1,000 valid signatures to appear on the March 15 primary ballot. The former Maryland governor's campaign submitted 1,175 signatures, but only 772 were deemed valid, said Josh Eck, a spokesman for Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted." -- "submitted 1.175 signatures , but only 772 were deemed valid"? Hmmm.. maybe we should check all Democrat voters in all 50 states following the general elections.. start with a death certificate match...

---
Online headline: "SF police find spiked baseball bats" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought  maybe the police discovered Barry Bonds cache of "loaded" bats.

---
Online story: "For 2016, California is tightening gun laws. Concealed carry permit holders can no longer carry guns on school campuses." --  Hmmm.. well, if armed nutcases weren't sure before, now they will know that they won't be walking unknowingly into a school where anyone has a gun to shoot back at them. Unfortunately, students and teachers won't have that assurance as armed nutcases are going to disobey the law anyway..

---
Online headline: "Russia reportedly sees US as national security threat" -- Good grief.. NERO-bamageddon must be putting out this rumor trying to save face as everyone knows Puton thinks NERO-bamageddon's a joke.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "The Nation That Executed 47 People In 1 Day Sits On The U.N. Human Rights Council" -- Hmmm.. maybe the HufPOOPOO ought to be supporting Trump so Muslims will be kept out of the US...

---
HuffPOOPOO "headLIE": "What's Washington Going to Do in Response to Saudi's Execution of Sheikh Nimr?" --  Hmmm... the real question is : "What golf course will NERO-bamageddon "be headed" off to now?

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Puerto Rico Is In Serious Trouble. Here's What You Need To Know." -- Hmmm.... It's Trump's Fault?

What kind of statement about women's equality does G.I. JILLary make when she needs ... begs ...SENDS...  Bill to campaign  for her?

L-E headline/story: "2016 WILL BE A BUSY, POSSIBLY ODD ELECTION YEAR IN COLUMBUS  *  Columbus will hold local elections during state party primaries on May 24, when a lot of local offices will be up for grabs." -- This is an absolute scam.. There is no reason that Council and School Board elections should not be held on the General Election date in November. In fact, it would BENEFIT Columbus to have our local elections, including any and all SPLOST/LOST referendums, on the November ballot so more people will have a voice in the outcome and direction of our future..

In an interview with Cedric Hill, new Chair of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the interviewer asked him:

"According to the September 2015 Regional Prosperity Report, Columbus has not been growing as rapidly as some of the other cities in the Southeast and there’s been a lot of difficulty attracting businesses. What do you see the chamber doing in the near future to address that problem?

Hill responded: "The economic development department of the chamber is a new and growing department that we kind of want to put a lot of interest in going forward. ... In order to attract businesses to the community, you’ve got to go to them and figure out what it is that they want. And then Columbus has got to figure out, in itself, what is it that we want to become as industry itself? What’s going to be our target audience?... Do we want to be arts? Or do we want to be music? Or do we want to be riverfront development ... You’ve got, from an economic perspective, departments through here and the city itself that are looking at industry to attract here. But we’ve got some homework to do also. Because when you’re looking to have people come in the community, education is one of those things that they look at, your school system, quality of life, your crime rate, various different things in that respect." -- "when you’re looking to have people come in the community, education is one of those things that they look at, your school system, quality of life, your crime rate"?  "homework to do"?  We need some all-nighters of cramming! Hill did nail it in an earlier response to another question when he sad: " My generation.... has got to institute in our children, “Learn, go to school, take continuing education. Look at other places that you can begin to go to educate yourself, because the things that are being looked at as industry moves into Columbus," Perhaps Mr Hill will step up and seek a seat on the MCSD board as his next venture.. it's obvious he has a better grip than most of the current members.

Looks like the Harris County Commission and the Phenix City Council are ready to hit the ground running in 2016.. their agenda for their next meeting appeared in the L-E on Sunday.. Of course, Mayor TomLYINGson's Columbus Council agenda appeared as well, but all she wants to do is issue proclamations and resolutions..

L-E guest opinion headline/content: "Winning strategy  * We know how to succeed in a war on drugs, because we’ve been doing it over the last 50-plus years"  *  Rather than using the FBI to bust up fancy tunnel networks, we should legalize marijuana and decriminalize other drugs, and then tax and sue drug producers to generate revenue to support public health campaigns against their products, agencies to regulate them and treatment for those who suffer from addiction. *   Danielle Allen, a political theorist at Harvard University, is a contributing columnist for the Washington Post." -- Good grief.. when will parents learn what sending their children to Harvard will lead to? Harvard political theorists won't be satisfied until the 10 Commandments are removed from society,, not just from public properties. Over taxing cigarettes/tobacco has certainly put a dent in use (some because other addictive products are relatively more affordable) of tobacco, but.. BUT it has also led to black market street sales of untaxed cigarettes and such. What Ms. Allen leaves out of her equation...intentionally as it makes her "plan" look like a sieve.. is that when you start taxing at the source, the source owners just raise the prices and "customers" have to pay the higher rates or stop using it.. unfortunately, those who "can't stop" will become violent and determined to acquire the product (or money to buy "the product") and society suffers even more.. what do you think will happen when you put opiates on the non-prescription drug lists and tax the manufactures much higher?

L-E guest op-ed piece headline/content: "Know who’s on your airplane? * Froma Harrop  * To me, the main difference between a secure driver’s license and an insecure one is that the insecure one can be used for committing crimes, among them identity theft and fraud. But to many foes of Real ID, secure ones’ threat to privacy is a more serious matter."  - Hmmm .. Ms Lib forgot another aspect.. a secure driver's license could be used to certify one's ability to cast a vote, and since it's a national standard, there should be no opposition.. Guess we'll see Ms Lib's retraction in her next piece.

Another L-E guest opinion headline: "The Donald just isn’t in Slick Willy’s league * Mary Sanchez * Kansas City Star" -- Hmmm, while no one is in Slick Willie's league when it comes to womanizing, what kind of statement about women's equality does G.I. JILLary make when she needs ... begs ...SENDS... Bill to campaign for her?

How about them SEC teams! 8 bowl victories out of 10 played! Would it be unreasonable to change the SEC bylaws so that teams that don't get invited to a bowl game not share in the "wealth distribution" for the schools that did participate? While an exception may be granted to Vandy since Vandy still holds academic excellence dearly, KY. SC, and Mizzou don't have any excuses...

---
Was watching the last seconds of the replay of the GA VS PENN STATE bowl game and the SEC station immediately switched to the Mississippi State vs FLA women's basketball game. FLA was in its home team white uniforms, and State...my State was in black..BLACK? That's not one if our colors..I do not want to see teams in uniforms that aren't their school's traditional colors!

On a different note: "Interesting "link" .. especially if you're looking for the Columbus "FOP" website.  Got this link from the Columbus Police Department site.

Tell me what you make of it

Good grief..G.I. JILLary just claimed the National Debt quadrupled under Republican presidents..the truth is that the National Debt has had largest increase, over $8 TRILLION just since NERI-bamageddon took office. Who wants more establishment politicians, especially Democratic Party ones, making spending policies?

---
Online headline: "BREAKING: Prince Charles Makes Devastating Statement About Islam… Muslims Are Outraged" -- Good grief.. who knew the England's Crown Prince had a set, and the US President didn't?

Soapbox moment: "Once again our local elections for City and School Board seats will be held during the political party primaries on May 24th. This is an absolute scam. There is absolutely no reason that Council and School Board elections should not be held on the General Election date in November. In fact, it would BENEFIT Columbus to have our local elections, including any and all SPLOST/LOST referendums, on the November ballot so more people will have a voice in the outcome and direction of our future..

L-E guest opinion headline: "Chicago Tribune: Belated cure for 'affluenza' -- While the "affluenza" case was judicial BS... why is the Chicago Trib worried about it? Good grief.. why isn't the Chicagoi Trib so involved in getting it's own "plague of deaths" under control to even have time to look at other city's/state's issues?

---
HuffPOOPOO story: "The United States and its allies conducted 26 strikes against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria on Saturday, the coalition leading the operations said in a statement on Sunday. * In Syria, one strike struck near Manbij, hitting an Islamic State tactical unit and destroying four Islamic State buildings and a vehicle," -- I know the HuffPOOPOO was trying to boost NERO-bamageddon's "image", but what it did was probably get a couple of US officers fired..

---
From the "let's see if we can report a story in a way that Sen Feinstein will propose a new gun law" department - Online story: "A 48-year-old man from North Granby, Conn., has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, trespassing, possession of an electric stun gun and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon after police received reports of a suspicious man in the hours before the opening faceoff at the 2016 Winter Classic." - Fortunately, there was a oicture of the weapons at the bottom of the story.. it showed a hand-held stunner (as opposed to a stun GUN), two swords, a cross bow, a slingshot, a meat cleaver and a couple of other weird machete looking weapons. I can only guess that the culprit will eventually be revealed a member of a terrorist group like the one NERO-bamageddon refuses to label.

L-E story: " A sinkhole along Victory Drive is causing a major disruption in traffic flow on one of Columbus’ busiest roadways. * Columbus Police Maj. J.D. Hawk said Sunday that the hole, caused by the failure of a 24-inch sewer pipe, has forced the closure of a section of Victory Drive near 25th Avenue, not far from the Georgia National Guard Armory." -- Wait a minute.. the Columbus Water Works threatened us with mucher higher rates if we didn't approve a bond issue they needed to FIX all the Combined Sewer Overflow problems, and we did approve such.. Now we still have the CSO problems and our water/sewage rates have gotten absurd!
---
You know.. why is it that Mayor TomLYINGson has no problems with raising our rates to pay for Public Safety, garbage, water, parking fines and court costs, but she doesn't feel users of the Aquatic Center, the bike trails, the ice rinks, Golden Park and other pet projects of hers need to pay thier fair share?
---
L-E headline/story: "Retired educator wants to rescue Bibb City Elementary *  ibb Elementary closed its doors in 2001, but it’s still the property of the school district. *  It was built in 1915 by the Bibb Manufacturing Co" -- There are a few important things to point out here before any further discussion,,at least the history of the Bibb School is real, as opposed to the claims about Claflin, but it also highlights the inadequateness of the MCSD/MCSB to oversee the assets that the tax payers deserve. A private company built it in 1915. It served it's purpose well, even when turned over to the MCSD, until the 21st Century when the MCSD abandoned it and allowed it to fall into shambles (disrepair is nowhere adequate to describe it). Compare that to schools that the MCSD has built that fall apart in single lifetimes,, the New Spencer is a great example, but to "save" it is worse folly than Claflin.  It Mike Owen "thinks" it is worth saving, let Mike Edmundon, Mike Owen, and Sandi Lee donate some substantial moneys of their own. As for a reuse of the "building" (though ruins is a better word) as a senior/community center, didn't "we" just pay millions to rebuild Comer Auditorium/Gym in BIBB CITY!
---
Incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Unemployment down, market up, gas below $2, ISIS losing territory. Thanks, President Obama. Somebody tell Fox News." -- Hmm.. Those are things that even MERO-bamageddon is in the picture.. Where he does influence things is the tripled food stamp program, the highest non-job-seeking percentage in history, the reduction in forces and capabilities of our military, taxing out local law enforcement community by releasing drug felons back into our communities earlier than what's fair, escalating the costs of basic healthcare, and continuing the dumbing down of our education system..
---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "   In 1974, President Richard Nixon refused to hand over tape recordings and documents subpoenaed by the Senate Watergate Committee." -- Good grief.. and G.I. JILLary just emulated Nixon.. digest that, mainscream media!  What's ironic is JILLary was on the investigative team prosecuting Nixon, and was fired for lying about her findings. You know, that ought to be entered into evidence during her Benghazi and E-mail investigations.

L-E headline: "Powerball jackpot expected to grow to $400 million" -- I guess since the founder was arrested for cheating, the odds are still to great for a person picking the winning combination on he=is/her own.
---
L-E headline: "Illinois considers allowing recall attempts of Chicago mayor" -- Heh heh heh.. but why doesn't Chicago do us ALL a favorm and call for of a recal of it's "favorite son", NERO-bamageddon.. first!
---
As you know, 2016 is a presidential election year, and like all US presidential election years, it's also a Leap Year. It's almost caustic that we have to have an extra day when we cannnot wait until a sitting president serves his last year in office.

L-E headline/story: "LIFE IN PRISON * A look at becoming an inmate in Georgia  * The Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson, the state’s biggest, houses about 2,100 male inmates on a wooded, 900-acre campus about 50 miles south of Atlanta. A warden and three deputy wardens oversee more than 600 employees." -- "900-acre campus"?  Good grief.. this sounds like an orientation presentation for a promising career path!
