Online headline: "Nearly two-thirds of Americans agree with Trump's views on torture" -- Yeah! And why not... we've been tortured to the max by liberals/Democrats and mainscream media. Even Tuesday night.. the CNN guy tortured Trump with "dodgeballs to the head" questions while tossing softball ones to  Cruz and Kasich. Trump still won.

---
You know.. it's not a matter whether torture is used to extract info, but a terrorist knowing he/she can/will be subject to such will go a long way to curbing future atrocities. What I also would like to see is criminals shooting/killing people during the commitment of a crime be automatically subjected to the death sentence, and the execution be carried out within 6 months of the sentence.... regardless of age.

---
Well, well, well..that reporter b***h who claimed she was assaulted by Trump's aide was warned by the Secret Service agents to stop. Who assigned those agents to Trump...Obama?

---
Got an e-mail from a "Breitbart, com" site that has Ted Cruz soliciting for donations.. This explains a whole lot about the Breitbart reporter (at the time) ignoring Secret Service warnings and assaulting Trump.

I love Disney Classic movies..They were made before political correctness.. I'm watching Peter Pan with my Sophia and the song being sung..by "indians" is "What made the Redman red?" Now, if Disney is so intent on moving out of GA if the Religious Freedom bill gets active, then why doesn't Disney either recall all its Classic movies, or give refunds for them?

---
Yesterday we learned that the murder rate on the streets of Chicago are up 84% over last year.. guess the Democrats will be busy at the morgue registering "new voters".

---
Online headline/story: "Boeing reportedly plans to cut 8,000 jobs * Sources revealed Wednesday a high-profile corporation will lay off workers in a move that could slash $1 billion in costs as it tries to trump a huge industry rival. * Reports that caught unions by surprise  * Boeing Co plans to cut up to 8,000 jobs this year at its commercial airplane division, according to two people familiar with the matter, a move that could slash $1 billion in costs and help it battle for sales against European rival Airbus." -- "unions caught by surprise"? Hmmm.. cut 8,000 jobs and save $1 BILLION dollars! That's $125,000.00 per job! There will be some professional and executives in that number, but the bulk will be jobs covered by unions.. it also shows how crippling the unions have been and how much influence they been on major corporations deciding to move jobs off shore.

---
Online headline: "After uproar, Donald Trump dials back remark about 'punishment' for women who have abortions" -- "punishment"? Not the answer.. unless it's for a partial-birth one, and everyone involved..doctor(s), nurse(s), woman should be subject to infanticide charges. I'm pro-life, but this issue is not a political one.. we never need to go back to "back alley/"rusty coat hanger" medical procedures.. it is a relationship  issue between the people involved and God. God is merciful and can/will forgive when penance is made. Does this affect my choice of Trump.. no way.. we have a Legislative and Judicial System in place.

---
Online headline: "Folding gun that looks like a smartphone worries police" -- "worries police"? Hmmm.. perhaps street thugs should be more worried.. now when they are holding their actual phones, police will have cause to fire if they think it could be a gun...oh.. and street thugs want know for sure if their targets aren't holding a gun instead of a phone.. win-win!

---
Online headline: "Caitlyn Jenner's sexy miniskirt at golf tournament turns heads" -- Some guys will do anything to play from the red tees

---
From "Apple's biggest fear come true" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "FBI Might Withhold Secret Method Of Unlocking iPhone From Apple" -- whether the FBI shows/tells Apple or not is the biggest worry.. Apple users know their iPhones can be hacked, and the FBI can be hacked, too. and that Apple's loyalty to this country has been "bruised". What a simple solution  it would have been if Apple cooperated to attest to it's loyalty, and.. at the same time, could have kept the "solution" in-house.

The GOP has become dangerous to America's future. The GOP is so set on destroying Trump rather than putting the best leader on the ticket in order to keep from disrupting the RNC/GOP pecking order.

---
With what we've seen from the RNC/GOP leadership, if Cruz wins in November, he will be little more than a puppet for the RNC/GOP leadership. A deal with the devil has been made.

---
Online headline: "John Kerry Reveals What World Leaders Think About the 2016 Election and It Ain’t Rosy" -- Hmmm.. well it's a whole lot better than the world leaders... and the American voters ... feel about Kerry.

On the above item.. please note there is no world leader poll on Cruz.. bth the Democrats and RNC/GOP leadership fear Trump. Vote Trump!

---
You know, Trump's current Washington Hotel project has provided more private sector jobs  than all the remaining candidates combined!

---
Online story: "Attorney General Loretta Lynch issued a nine-page letter through her civil-rights division to municipal and state judges around the United States, warning them to ease off prosecution of criminals, particularly those of minority status, or else face loss of federal funding. * Specifically, she wants the 6,500 municipal level courts in the country to offer community service in lieu of jail time, or provide more “amnesty days” to those with outstanding warrants so they can pay a fee instead of serving behind bars, the New York Post reported." -- " pay a fee instead of serving behind bars"? Oh.. and criminals will figure out that if they can get enough loot from a crime, they will have enough cash to pay off the fine and be back on the street in a hour. That'll curb crime.. ya betcha... NOT! Oh.. it also means that al Qaida/ISIS can just pay a fine and get the GITMO prisoners moved into American facilities back out on the streets... but here in America!

---
Online headline: "Controversial flier links high-ranking state leader to terrorists * WSBTV" -- Just a point of how bad journalism has become. It's a flyer! - Outside the U.S., there is no difference between flyer and flier. They are interchangeable, though flyer is about twice as common as flier. American writers tend to use flyer for small handbills and flier for people and things that fly. http://grammarist.com/spelling/flier-flyer/

---
Online headline: "Isakson: Deal 'did the right thing' with religious bill veto" -- Hmmm.. and how do you explain that Florida has a Religious Freedom Act already in effect and neither Disney nor Coca Cola has pulled out .. And speaking of Disney, just yesterday, I love Disney Classic movies..They were made before political correctness.. I'm watched "Peter Pan" with my Sophia and the song being sung..by "indians" is "What made the Redman red?" Now, if Disney is so intent on moving out of GA if the Religious Freedom bill gets active, then why doesn't Disney either recall all its Classic movies, or give refunds for them?

---
L-E headline: "Elections board disqualifies Pam Brown, Robert Smith in sheriff’s race * Candidates say they will appeal to Superior Court" -- "appeal to Superior Court"? Whatta a waste of time and money! The GA Supreme Court has already made "the" decision on the matter.

---
Contender for "Best Political Bumper Sticker": "‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’". It's definitely in contention against earlier front-runner "TrusTED".

---
L-E headline/story: "McKoon: If allegations are true, Smith should report them to authorities * On Wednesday, Smith said he would not go to the U.S. Attorney’s Office or any other law enforcement entity.
*   “I don’t think anything criminal happened at all here — this was all politics,” Smith said." -- "all politics"?And while he's at it Smith should apologize to Columbus homeowners for supporting Mayor TomLYINGson's  'tax thaw" . This "all politics" move by Smith mimics the actions of the RNC/GOP leadership to "dump" a person who speaks out for the majority of Americans. Looking ahead,, I can see why the local Democrats aren't running anyone against Smith in District 134.. they already have their man.

L-E headline/story: "Guide to Georgia Milestones * Tests are the state’s standardized exams for grades 3-12 in public schools Muscogee County School District testing period starts next week  *  The month-long slog of standardized testing starts next week in the Muscogee County School District. * This is the second year of the state’s most recent accountability exams for public school students in grades 3-12, the Georgia Milestones Assessment System. It replaced the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, which Georgia used for 15 years. * The Georgia Milestones tests are considered tougher than the CRCT." "month long slog"?  how about a 24year "slog" since the MCSB became "elected" nad politics took over for citizen concerns?  Oh, and "The Georgia Milestones tests are considered tougher than the CRCT"? Good grief.. tests aren't tough or tougher if students are prepared top begin with.. Sadly, we could get an 100% "improvement" on last year's results, and 75% of our schools would still be failures in getting our children ready for life.

L-E headline: "Some women don’t care that Clinton would be the first female president" -- Yeah. especially the women who know Hillary is not qualified to be the first regardless on gender.

L-E "letter: "I am no fan of Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. .....I will vote for Hillary Clinton because she has the experience of being a senator and secretary of state. Trump is a successful entrepreneur, but has never been elected to any public office. There’s a difference between running a business and running the government; these two are different entities. - McGilder Whitehurst" -- "there's a difference between running a business and running the government"? First of all, Hillary has run nothing.. (unless you consider her running the Benghazi Embassy into the ground), and it's time to put a businessman into office as we've got plenty of history of Democratic politicians not being able to run a government successfully (that works locally as well as acuminated by our own Mayor TomLYINGson) . And the real reason this letter writer is voting for Hillary is because his/her parents named her "McGilder".

It's really sad that the Wisconsin Governor endorsed a candidate that the Democrats want to run against Hillary instead of Trump..

---
Wisconsin Republican voters (and voters in other states as well) should take real notice that the Democratic Party paid protesters are protesting the one candidate they don't want for Hillary to face as the Republican nominee.

---
That Tennessee guy who was shot at the Capitol Building Visitors' Center called himself a prophet of god...and therefore exempt from man's law.. Hmmm.. Guess he's a false prophet since he doesn't represent God.. who did not exempt His Son Jesus from man's law.

---
Cyprus' president nonchalantly said that the hijacked airplane was not an act of terrorism.. yeah right,, ask the passengers and their families what they thought.

---
2016 is obviously not going to be a good year for Geraldo Rivera.. Early this year, ABC News "dumped: him, and Monday night, ABC's DWTS judges "Trumped" him off.

---
The DNC Communications Director defends the Super-delegates because they are only 15% of the total.. half-truth at best.. true, the total is only 15%, but.. if voted "en bloc", it means one candidate can beat the other that the voters prefer.

---
With Scalia's death, the US Supreme Court split 4-4 on allowing unions to make working individuals who do not want to join the unions, or feel the unions do not represent them politically, to pay dues anyway.  It's sad.. almost pathetic, that 4 liberal members on the US Supreme Court have sided with a political organization instead of the rights of individual citizens.

About that "trumped" up charge that female reporter made against Trump's campaign worker: If the Florida police made such a charge/arrest based simply on the Florida law that states any one touching another is guilty of assault, then why didn't the police arrest the reporter for touching Trump? It was what started the whole scenario. Oh.. where was the Secret Service when this went on?
---
I'm about to abandon my plan to support Cruz if he wins the nomination because of his mealy mouthed condemnation of Trump's aide , and backhanded accusation it was Trump's fault.

---
What's happened with the two sheriff candidates being disqualified for failure to be fingerprinted within the rules?

Viet Nam Vets Day was a good time to remember it was liberals... Democrats and mainscream media.. who spit at them and turned their backs on Vets' needs.

Online headline/story: "13 Detroit school principals charged in kickback scheme * The charges come a month after Michigan Governor Rick Snyder named a federal judge who oversaw Detroit's historic bankruptcy case to tackle the financial problems of Detroit's schools, which are drowning under $3.5 billion of debt." -- Good grief.. Detroit's School System is more toxic than the Flint water system.

---
Online headline/story: "The murder rate in Chicago is up 84 percent this year *  While the Chicago Police Department is under federal investigation following the shooting of Laquan McDonald, and owing to its police practices all around, homicides and shootings have spiked in the first three months of 2016. *  The 131 homicides so far represent an 84 percent increase over that period last year, and the 605 shootings in that stretch are almost double last year's total. * Since January, officers have recorded 20,908 instances in which they stopped, patted down and questioned people for suspicious behavior, compared with 157,346 in the same period last year. Gun seizures are also down: 1,316 guns have been taken off the streets this year compared with 1,413 at this time last year." -- You know.. when mainscream media and the DOJ step in and blame police officers for handling things as they see them to protect themselves and citizens, then police officers hands become tied, and crime goes up.. OK. "Black Lives Matter", exactly how is tying the hands of police officers working out for you? Maybe you ought to look at Baltimore as well.

---
Online headline: "These rumored VP picks for Hillary could make or break her chances" -- Good grief.. Hillary is in way more trouble than the DNC has ever admitted.. A year ago, Hillary was pretty much already deigned the next president by default.

---
Hilton Hotels has initiated an absolute $50.00 cancellation fee. Hmm.. well, unless I know I can make it there at the prescribed date, no longer will I book a Hilton.

---
Online headline: "Police say teenager was groped and pepper-sprayed outside Trump rally" -- Good grief.. the video shows nothing of a "grope", but it does show a massive woman..no petite gymnast here - stiking a man in the face who responds by pepper-spraying her. The "organizer" says it was suppose to be a "peaceful demonstration".. hmmmm... you arouse malcontents and paid protesters, advertise it , and expect it to be peaceful? Yeah.. right!

---
It's strange to hear Hillary tell Bernie that she won't debate him unless he changes his "tone",  What a great president .. NOT...she would make if she got a 3:00 AM phone call from  Benghazi, Hussein, Khrushchev or Kim Jong Un and hung up because she didn't like their "tone".

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "These Countries Are Failing To Resettle Their ‘Fair Share’ Of Syrian Refugee  * Last fall, President Barack Obama pledged to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S. by September 2016. But according to Oxfam International, the U.S. should multiply that figure by 17 in order to meet the needs of Syrian refugees trapped in struggling nations like Lebanon and Jordan that can no longer afford to support them." -- Good grief.. Oxfam.. who the heck is Oxfam, and by what authority does Oxfam have to tell any country what its "fair share" is.. Oxfam lists 28 countries that aren't taking in what Oxfam has determined is its  "fair share".. but.. not one of these countries is in the middle-east..Oh.. and how many refugees have the executives of Oxfam personally taken into their homes...

---
L-E headline/story: " Religious exemption bill supporters say debate isn’t over *    Conservative groups accused Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal of turning his back on people of faith by vetoing a “religious freedom” bill and vowed Tuesday to keep up the fight for years to come. *    More than 500 companies joined a coalition led by Coca-Cola and other big-name Georgia firms urging Deal’s veto. The Walt Disney Co., Marvel Studios and Salesforce.com   threatened to take business elsewhere. The NFL suggested Atlanta could lose its bids for the 2019 or 2020 Super Bowl." -- Hmmm...The Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) is a federal law that was passed almost unanimously by the U.S. Congress in 1993 and signed into law by President Bill Clinton. 21 states already have adopted it, and 12 more, including GA, are in the process, Of the states that have enacted tt]heir own versions of the Religious Freedom Act are Illinois... and Florida... Chicago? Isn't that the home state of Obama as well as Hillary? And Florida? Isn't that the home of Du=isney World and Coca Cola's orange crops... when are Disney and Coca Cola moving out! What BS has kowtowed Governor Deal.. pathetic....

L-E headline/story: "Aquatic center proposed budget in line with others * The Cherokee County Aquatics Center is open for 88.5 hours a week with a budget of $1.15 and is operated by the county. *  The Cumming Aquatic Center operates for 92 hours a week with a budget of $1.4 million, and is operated by the city.
 *  The Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville, Ga., is open for 74 hours a week with a budget of $1.3 million and is operated by the city. The Savannah-Chatham County Aquatics Center operates for 83 hours a week with a budget of $1.05 million and is operated by the county." -- Excuse me,, how is the operating costs of other centers even pertinent to Columbus' when there is no mention/comparison of the revenues produced at each center?  It also brings to light that I don't remember any of these county/city operated aquatic centers being mentioned when ours was discussed.

---
Why doesn't the MCSD/MCSB even discuss starting the school year after Labor Day, and ending in early June as when we grew up? Let's face it planning for "vacation times" other than Spring Break only has appeal to administrators in the school system and to the affluent who can take that y=time off with their families.

---
L-E headline: "Colleges spending millions to deal with sexual misconduct" -- Good grief.. colleges promoted sexual misconduct when they adopted co-ed dorms.. seems reversing such decisions would be the first step.

I'm still amazed at the number of full page ads being run to promote "together2016".. I sent in a request for information on the costs and how they are funded.

Online story: "The Jalisco Nueva GeneraciĆ³n cartel — one of Mexico's strongest and fastest-growing criminal organizations — is moving into Baja California, just across the border from the US, according to an official from the Mexican attorney general's office. *  It seems increasingly likely that the CJNG, as the cartel is known, is challenging the powerful Sinaloa cartel for control of drug-smuggling territory there." -- Build Trump's Wall!!!

From the "we coulda helped and maintained damage control" department - Online headline: "The FBI says it has hacked into the San Bernardino shooter's phone without Apple's help" -- Now what's Apple going to do?.. Since the FBI has done it, then it will be all over the I-net by summer, and Apple will not have happy customers.. betcha Wall Street brokers will be out on street corners "selling Apple".

Online headline: "Donald Trump adds political strategist to his campaign team" -- Whew.. it isn't Karl Rove!

Here's the latest affront to normalcy.. Gender Neutral/Transgender bathroom signs/designation. Look like the figure on the right is a guy dressed in drag who's gotten a little excited

Online story: "In a speech to a journalism awards dinner, Obama urged journalists to ask tougher questions of the candidates vying to be president. " -- Hmmm... like they did him? ZERO-bamageddon could move things a long way if he'd answer the questions about his college admission citizenship status and his Visa citizenship declaration in his youth.

Kanye West donned an Easter Bunny suit for a party for his daughter.. Surprise! Guess what.. it was not a black Easter Bunny suit. There's still hope for integration.

---
Can you believe Kerry is saying he's embarrassed about what Republican candidates are SAYING about foreign policy? Good grief, how about how embarrassing Kerry and ZERO-bamageddon's actual policy and deals have made American citizens feel! Now that's embarrassing!

---
Dems are trying to get Bleep Veep Biden to help Hillary with the white male vote. Why would he? I still look to see Biden "step in" by convention time to become the Dem nominee.

L-E headline/story: "Smith: McKoon cost CSU, Infantry Museum funding *     Columbus State University and the National Infantry Museum lost funding in the most recent state budget because of the divisive actions of Republican Sen. Josh McKoon, according to a senior member of the local General Assembly delegation.
 *  “You can only stick a stick in somebody’s eye so long before enough is enough,” Rep. Richard Smith said late Monday afternoon. “They are going to give it to somebody who has been supportive. *  “If Richard couldn’t get the House to sustain the position, whose fault is that? It’s not my fault,” McKoon said of the budget. “My job is to advocate for the budget position in the Senate. That’s the way it works. … This just sounds to me like Richard feels like he got thrown under the bus last week and now he thinks it’s my turn.”" -- sounds to me that Smith is only a "fair weather friend". Don't forget he sold us homeowners out, too, by voting "yes" on the tax thaw bill

---
Governor Deal vetoed the Freedom of Religion Act.. sounds like Deal has made a deal of his own. To boot, it is the same bill already in effect in many states, and how many companies do you know that moved out?

---
L-E headline: "The play that may have saved Golden Park" -- Good grief.. now what? Baseball at Golden Park is not in its future unless we want another AquaticCenter financial failure..and the structure is sure not going to improve with age (just ask the MCSD how neglect works on preserving old school buildings), so what next? Turning it into the site for the Civic Center (as I suggested in 1990) is moot, but boy what a grand site and a grand sight it would have been. It would have anchored South Commons to the downtown area via Broadway, and what a sight it would be coming across the Oglethorpe Bridge. Hmmm... what could have been......

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Pezold was right *  In Florida I covered all counties in the state, and municipalities. The Sunshine Law covered fair dealings. Columbus selling land worth half a million to 3/4 of a million for $50,000 is outrageous! Pezold is correct." -- Well in a sense, it's poetic justice.. Pezold sold the homeowners out, but he will get a tax break when the Pezold Hotel get devalued and reassessed. On the other hand. if Pezold was "right", he'd have done the "right" thing, and followed through with the promise to expand, and had that parking lot all sewed up.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Congratulation to Mayor Teresa Tomlinson for proposing full funding for our world class aquatic center. Maximum usage is the issue. I pray our council will see the vision." -- Good grief.. how stupid is a person who supports operating a facility at a loss during the worse hours. Minimize the operational losses by opening at the best hours.. the few people who use it (and don't want to pay for their use) will adjust if it's important.

From the "liberal bias" department - L-E editorial cartoon: Pick the only one who lives in a walled country:

You can tell times are tough at the L-E.. The "Foreclosure Section" is now Section C.. it use to be Section E..

Monday, March 28, 2016

After a round of engaging exchanges about his commitment join forces with Mayor TomLYINGson to raise our taxes, I'm not sure which moniker fits Representative John Pezold best... "Whiner-King" or "John PEZ-soldout"? The "whiner-king" is pretty obvious, but I'm leaning more towards "PEZ-soldout" ...he is sorta like a PEZ dispenser..someone pushes down on his head, and he spits out a block of crap.

---
I find it sorta depressing that John Pezold, a.k.a "Whiner-king"/PEZ-soldout", has no competition in the May Primary, nor from the Democrats for November.. I guess with his alignment with Mayor TomLYINGson on going after our tax protection, the Democrats are more happy with him than anyone else in the Democrat Party.

---
Online Reuters' report of a NYT story: " Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump told the New York Times he would consider stopping U.S. oil purchases from Saudi Arabia unless the Saudi government provide troops to fight Islamic State." Well sorta... it was actually "Trump's comment on Friday was included in a lengthy foreign policy interview published by the newspaper on Saturday and came in response to a question about whether, if elected president, he would halt oil purchases from U.S. allies unless they provided on-the-ground forces against Islamic State. "The answer is, probably yes," Trump said, according to a transcript. Trump has said the United States should be reimbursed by the countries it provides protection, even those with vast resources such as Saudi Arabia, a top oil exporter. * "And yet, without us, Saudi Arabia wouldn't exist for very long," Trump told the Times." -- Hear, Hear! Trump's right! .... again... as usual...

---
Bernie was 3-for-3 Saturday.. 81% in Alaska, 71% in Hawaii, and 72% in the state of Washington. Let's face it.. Trump will annihilate Hillary in November... if she makes it that far.

Online headline:"North Korea threatens nuclear strike on US city" -- Good grief.. This is what happens when a US president wimps out on the world.. 3rd world despots become "the LOUSE that roared".  Vote Trump !

HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Donald Trump Effigies Burn Across Mexico In Easter Ritual
The burning is part of a widespread Mexican Holy Week tradition where neighborhoods burn effigies to represent Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus Christ according to the Bible. The effigies are often modeled on unpopular political figures." -- Can you imagine the HuffPOOPOO headlines if Trump had burned a Mexican in effigy? Not to mention the "lynching" aspect...

---
L-E headline/story: "Man shot dead at Peachtree Mall  * 24-year-old man found wounded at mall entrance Witness said the victim had at least five gunshot wounds  *  The shooting is the third report of gunfire at the shopping mall in more than a month." -- How appropriate that baseball season is upon us.. in the vernacular: "Strike Three!.. you're out!"

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Please, voters, we need another Clinton in the White House to balance the budget." -- Good grief.. the Common CRAP curriculum may be to far along to turn around! Clinton didn't balance a budget,, Newt Gingrich and the Republicans balanced the budget.

---
L-E guest editorial headline: "‘Religious freedom' laws are about freedom to discriminate * BY MARY SANCHEZ" -- :freedom to discriminate"? How about "freedom to make choices" guaranteed by our Constitution! Liberals don't know what they want, but what ever it is, they want it for themselves only..

I'm not sure the Americans are going to be ready to play in the Ryder Cup matches this Fall. The "Final Four" of this past week's WGC Match Play.championship were from Australia, Ireland, South Africa, and Spain.

Talking about Trump and Cruz idea to break away from NATO, Hillary actually said we cannot tolerate pitting groups of people against other groups. HUH? Her whole campaign is based on pitting groups of people against other groups of people.

Online headline/story: "Ted Cruz is closing in on Donald Trump in a crucial state  *  Ted Cruz may be gaining on Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in the largest remaining state in the Republican primary. * A new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll of likely Republican voters published on Sunday showed the Texas senator, with 35% support, just 1 point behind Trump's 36% in California." --
"may be gaining"?  Good grief... how can a poll extrapolate who might vote in June from people they polled in March?

---
Online headline: "Woman details 'nightmare' date with Donald Trump * Lucy K******* met the GOP front-runner 40 years ago when he was in his late 20s -- and now she's revealing how awful their dinner date really was." -- Good grief.. mainscream media is now interested in the women in TRump's past, but wanted to drop everything about the women in Slick Willie's past? And I just wish the mainscream media had been interested in anything in ZERO-bamageddon's past!

---
Online headline/story: "Trump to fix crazy primary process by suing Louisiana * while Trump beat Ted Cruz by 3.6 percentage points in Louisiana, the Texas senator may walk away with 10 more delegates. Technically Trump and Cruz won the same number of delegates, 18 each, but since Marco Rubio dropped out of the race, his delegates are now free agents. They're expected to back Cruz, along with the state's five unbound delegates. Cruz supporters also snatched up five of Louisiana's six spots on the committees that will write the rules of the GOP convention, which could be key in determining the winner of a contested convention." -- Good grief.. the RNC/GOP-leadership is setting "fair" back into the dark ages.. In fact, it sounds like a Clinton "move"..depending on how you define "fair".

---
Online headline: "Mysterious letter sends Chinese leader on manhunt * Several journalists, including a well-known columnist, have reportedly vanished after a news site published a scathing editorial about President Xi." -- Rumor has it ZERO-bamageddon has asked Xi to train some his personal Secret Service agents.

Online headline: "8 things you can get for free from the government * There are tons of benefits available to the average U.S. citizen that you might not be aware of -- including free car seat installations and credit reports." -- Hmmm.. "8 things you can get for free"? Maybe so, but it's the 9th one that kills you.. "enslavement".

From the "suspicions confirmed" department - L-E headline/story: "Another problem plagues Weracoba Creek *    “Can you tell me what’s going on with that barrel brigade blocking part of Cherokee?” Sonny asked. “They’ve been there going on about two months and I never see any work being done. * Well Sonny, I’ve got good news and bad. * The bad news is that it’s not going to get better anytime real soon. The good news is the cause of the bad news. Most, if not all of the $400,000-$500,000 it’s going to cost to repair the failing wall will be picked up by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, said city Engineering Director Donna Newman.” -- Hmm.. just last week I mentioned that I was thinking about going into the retail "orange barrel" business because I thought that anytime the City had a road problem, it just stuck out "orange barrels" instead of fixing them.. Unfortunately, because Mayor TomLYINGson has dipped way too often and way too deep into our "fund balance/rainy day" accounts, she having to wait on FEMA to dip way to much in the National Debt to come up with the money for this project.. looks like another "lose-lose" situation for us taxPAYERS.

From the above story: " And then there is the possibly apocryphal tale of a scion of one of Columbus’ old families roaring down the Country Club of Columbus driveway after spending way too much time at the bar. He reportedly neglected to turn either left or right onto Cherokee and nose-dived into the ditch. He was allegedly pulled out of the wreck and driven home without making even a perfunctory stop at the cop shop.
 *  It pays to be a scion." -- Hmmm... "pays to be a scion"? What's sad is that the L-E will not
nose-dive" into a story of a "scion"... which probably is more because (I'm guessing here) the scion's father probably is an advertiser in the L-E.
---
L-E headline/story: "Teddy Reese kicks off campaign for Council District 10 seat *  Standing in front of the Beallwood Area Neighborhood Development Community Center, attorney Teddy Reese kicked off his campaign Saturday for Council District 10 in a neighborhood with needs." -- Good grief.. this isn't a City problem.. it's the rental property owners and their renters who need to take better care of that area..oh, and not at taxpayer expense like Mayor TomLYINGson did a few months ago.

Oh, and if Attorney Reese wants to do something for Columbus, how about organizing a "recall referendum" for Mayor TomLYINGson and really help Columbus... and I'd donate to that.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " There is something hypocritical about paying Elton John, an admitted homosexual, money to entertain you if you are a Bible-believing Christian." -- Good grief.. how judgmental.. Christians do not bash people for what they believe, but Christians do stand up when someone flaunts his/her contrary beliefs in our faces, or demands we accept it as normal.

L-E headline/story: "$100 million from World Bank to create 100,000 Jordan jobs * Jordan will get a cheap $100 million loan to help create 100,000 jobs for Syrian refugees and its own citizens, the World Bank president said Sunday. * Jordan hosts about 640,000 registered Syrian refugees" -- $100 MILLION dollars! Wow, that'll make everything great! What BS! $100 Million for 100 Thousand jobs is ..what.. $1,000.00 a job.. doing what? and if you spread that out amongst 640,000 refugees, you;d get about $156.00 a person.. and Jordan is not going to pay back that "loan".. To be honest, that $100,000,000 dollars is going into politicians pockets.

Online "headline"/story": "Donald Trump hits all-time low in the polls that really matter * Quinnipiac's numbers look better for Trump than any other recent national survey's — he trails Clinton by just 6 points in their poll. Bloomberg's survey found him down by 18 points as his personal brand continues to erode, " -- Quinnipiac's polls still reflect RINO input that picks Hillary in attempts to derail Trump, but Bloombergs's Poll.. basically a crock since Bloomberg himself is making a direct attempt to ruin Trump. Hold the course! Full steam ahead!

---
Online headline/story: "Report finds huge mistake made with Obamacare * Statistics released on Friday disclosed the U.S. government committed a major projection error that may cost $146 billion over the next decade. * The cost of Obamacare is expected to rise as millions of low-income people unexpectedly enrolled in public health care coverage rather than private insurance, according to a new government report." --  "millions of low-income people unexpectedly enrolled in public health care coverage rather than private insurance"?  Good grief.. this is no mistake.. this was/is the OObamaCRAP master plan! The mistakes are  Obama being elected, and OObamaCRAP being passed. Vote Trump!

---
Had one of those anonymous, from-the-shadows, liberal asking why I was always down on Mayor TomLYINGson. I just pointed out that I'm not the "the issue"..I am simply 'the messenger', and to honest, I would gladly vacate such, would Mayor TomLYINGson adopt genuine financial accountability in her actions..or even if the Columbus L-E would adopt a policy of being the good citizen it should be in bringing her financial shenanigans to light. Until such a time, I will continue to check inacurracies of her statements, and the ommisions in L-E reporting.

---
Try as they may, the RNC/GOP leadership cannot blame all the woes we as a country are experiencing purely on the Democrats. RINOs have compromised so much that they have become entrenched in the moderate zone which has allowed Democrats to sink further into Socialism with their programs. Witness the emergence of Bernie.. and how Hillary has vacated her "middle" positioning.. She an Bernie are on the same page philosophically now, and neither of those two are very far removed from the RNC/GOP leadership platform. Vote Trump...even Cruz.. but whatever you do vote for the Republican nominee in November!

---
Stay tuned for more damaging info RE: Hillary/Benghazi/Clinton Foundation interactions.

L-E story: "A tug-of-war that started over a new downtown Columbus hotel franchise spilled into Muscogee County Superior Court Friday as attorneys for local hotel owner and businessman Jack Pezold sought a permanent injunction to stop a deal between the city’s development authority and another company proposing a competing hotel." -- Hmmm what could be the initiative for this.. Pezold afraid the new hotel would bring in an outside McDonald's as its food service vendor?  Probably not, but do not eliminate Mayor TomLYINGson's vindictiveness ... getting back at Republican Rep John Pezold because he's a Republican.. well, RINO.. but Pezold may get the last laugh.. a new hotel at his back door parking lot may devalue his property and he can get a reduced tax rate. Anyone surprised that the property transaction gets done after Pezold supported her "tax thaw" legislation?

---

L-E story: "A 16-year-old boy was nabbed in a stolen Honda this afternoon after Columbus police attempted to stop the vehicle speeding through the Wesley Heights neighborhood. * The teen was taken into custody after crashing the car in the 6000 block of Cordova Road. He faces a felony charge of possessing a stolen vehicle." -- "a 16-year-old boy"?Good grief.. he's stepped into a man's world, and since when does  the felonious crime of auto theft get a 16 year old a pass on publishing his name?

Ted Cruz had a way he could have shown leadership in the hit ad on Trump's wife...but he blew it. As soon as those despicable ads featuring Trump's bride began running, he could have made a statement that he didn't approve of them, and ask that PAC to pull them.... but...he didn't.

---
Again...just discount any Trump vs Hillary polls. Cruz and Kasich supporters will say they support Hillary rather than Trump.

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department: No wonder Kasich seems to fare well in head-to-head "if vs if" polls against Hillary...the Democrats believe he's running in the Democrat primaries after he said he might name a Democrat as his VP choice

---
We've been played. Wednesday, the GA House version of Mayor TomLYINGson's assault on the local economy was tabled by the Senate for questionable legal language. An alternative was written which would have required reconsideration by the House, but somehow the original House version was re-inserted into the mix and passed. One local Senators ratted us out. Seems Ed Harbison would not approve the amended version so the original went back to the Senate floor. Do something about him..District 15.

---
I think I'm going to get into the "orange safety barrel" business.. have you noticed how many.. what ..there must be 1000s of them on the streets of Columbus. Guess Council just buys more every time a street problem pops up.. it's a cheaper band-aid than actually fixing the street problems.

---
Of course ZERO-bamageddon went dancing in Argentina...he's a professional dancer around important issues. Of course, the tango was an upgrade.. normally, he's use to tap-dancing.

---
Online story: "Referencing a hypothetical Supreme Court vacancy six months before a presidential election, Biden in 1992 warned that a hearing amid a contentious presidential election season would be "not fair to the president, to the nominee, or to the Senate itself" and recommended not holding hearings. * But later in the speech -- and the core of Biden's defense against what GOP lawmakers have named the Biden rule -- the then-chairman said consideration of a nomination should go forward if the president consults with the Senate and chooses a moderate nominee." -- "consideration of a nomination should go forward if the president consults with the Senate and chooses a moderate nominee"? Hmmm.. since there has been no consultation with the Senate Republicans, AND since the political scenario is reversed, I think that if ZERO-bamageddon nominated a "conservative" instead of a "moderate", the Senate just might address it

---
Online story: "GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump was livid at ABC's "The View" on Twitter after its panel of hosts, namely Whoopi Goldberg, slammed retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson for supporting him." -- Whoopi Goldberg is a flat-out racist!. She doesn't feel black men and women who have become successful in business.. in life,, without kowtowing to government aid are not black enough to be black.

---
Online headline: "Do you know who George Clooney's best friend is?" -- DOH! Isn't the real question, "Do you really care.. give a whit.. who George Clooney's best friend is?

---
Fortune Magazine just published a list of the Top 50 men and women leaders in the world from government, business, philanthropy, and the arts.. not surprisingly, ZERO-bamageddon did not make the list.. but at least we know why he danced the tango in Argentina.. he was trying to qualify in "the arts" category.

---
Online story: "WalletHub has done research and crunched numbers to determine which of America's cities are what they call 'the fattest.' * Rankings were determined by scores based on "fat prevalence," "weight-related health problems," and "healthy environment" for 100 metro areas." -- Nine of the Top 10 "fattest cities" are in the South... I think this is a mean spirited "slur" by liberals.

---
This is a map of "net domestic migration" in 2014-15.. Take a good look at the Map of GA.. Mayor TomLYINGson is right... there is a loss in Muscogee County and gains in Harris County. Now look again.. the worst migration in the state is from Congressman Bishop's and Ed Harbison's District in which half of Columbus is in.

---

L-E headline: "Metro area jobless rate unchanged at 6.8% in Feb. * Columbus rate is highest in state, trailed closely by Albany" -- Hmmm.. conformation of our migration problem is not the tax freeze.. it's TomLYINGson and Bishop's inability to generate jobs in the area.

---
Online story: "Americans "have died because of" detainees released from the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, a Defense Department official said Wednesday. *  During the hearing, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., asked special envoy Paul Lewis how many people had died because of "terrorists who went back to their terrorist activity. *  Lewis responded that he would prefer to discuss the matter in a "classified setting *  Sir, what I can tell you is unfortunately there have been Americans that have died because of released Gitmo detainees" -- Look for another round of ZERO-bamageddon's tap dancing.

---
L-E headline/story: "AQUATIC CENTER * Mayor to fully fund center in her FY17 budget * In her fiscal 2017 budget, the center will be funded fully at $1.2 million and will be run by the city, as opposed to a private vendor, the mayor announced in an email to all Columbus Councilors. Ultimately, that decision is contingent upon council’s approval of the mayor’s budget." -- Good grief.. will some one confiscate her key to the already way-too-depleted "fund balance vault"!

---
From above story: "Following council’s failure Tuesday night to arrive at a level of funding for the center, and a failure to determine who would operate the facility and for how many hours, Tomlinson sent an email to all 10 councilors Wednesday morning. * The email states that Tomlinson will fully fund the aquatic center at $1.2 million for 89 hours a week of operation in her fiscal 2017 budget, which will be presented for council’s consideration on April 26. She states the following in the email, which is public record:" -- "The email states that Tomlinson will fully fund the aquatic center "? Yeah with our and our children's tax dollars! TomLYINGson is getting as bad as Congressman Bishop.. Like him, TomLYINGson seems to want to take credit as being the one issuing all these checks from her on account! Man up, Council.. she's not going to be running for re-election like y'all are!

---
Let's face it.. the Aquatic Center can survive on 45 hours a week. Times open just need to be tweaked to best usage, and if an event gets scheduled, the increased revenue will warrant opening the necessary hours.

---
L-E headline: "Disney and Marvel threaten to pull film business from Georgia over religious liberty bill" --  Let'em do that.. they came here because tax breaks to them made it advantageous to them, and they don't want to lose that "bottom line" advantage.

---
L-E headline: "Tax freeze referendum legislation passes General Assembly; step closer to local vote * Sens. Josh McKoon, Ed Harbison split vote" -- How does something like this "pass" when the area Senators split their vote? Such an issue as the repealing of a State Amendment should have more requirements that a 50-50 vote.. It takes 3/4ths or better of all states to repeal a US Constitutional Amendment.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Take a poll to see if Columbus wants a baseball team. It would be another recreational attraction to lure vacationers — who spend money." -- Good grief.. nothing short of a Double-A or even a Triple-A team will get even local support. Columbus is blessed with great college. high school, and youth baseball, so the professionals have to compete with them for an audience, and nothing but building a new stadium in North Columbus would be attractive to any major league organization.

---
From L-E's "Today in History" feature: "   In 1965, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. led 25,000 people to the Alabama state capitol in Montgomery after a five-day march from Selma to protest the denial of voting rights to blacks. Later that day, civil rights activist Viola Liuzzo, a white Detroit homemaker, was shot and killed by Ku Klux Klansmen." --Ku KLux Klansmen?  Them dastardly Democrats!

---
From L-E's "Today in History" feature:  -- "In 1975, King Faisal (FY'-suhl) of Saudi Arabia was shot to death by a nephew with a history of mental illness. (The nephew was beheaded in June 1975.)" -- Less than 3 months or so from crime to sentence carried out.. That's effective justice.. WE should try it!

---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it emotionally.” — Flannery O'Connor, American author (1925-1964)." Hmmm guess O'Connor would be aghast at the revisionism  that is printed in our public school history books.

Online headline: "Obama tangos at Argentina state dinner" -- "tangos"? Hmmm.. versus "tangling" with ISIS..

---
L-E "headLIE"/story: "General Assembly yanks $8 million in Columbus State funding  *  In the 2015 legislative session, the Board of Regents asked for $17.4 million to fund the CSU library project, work on another building on the main campus and demolish Woodall Hall. When the budget was finalized, CSU received $11.87 million.  * This year, the university was asking for that balance plus about $2 million for equipment to go in the new laboratory sciences building that was approved last year. * Sen. Josh McKoon, R-Columbus, pointed out that the only “missing money” at this point is for equipping the building post construction. * “Those funds I am told won’t be needed until the following fiscal year; so it was deemed unnecessary to forward funding in this year’s budget for expenditures that won’t be made until the next fiscal year,” he said. "  -- Good grief.. Money not needed until the future has nothing to do with educating students...but claiming so it does reflect the bias of the L-E, and the lack of grasp of reality of CSU.. Besides, if $8,000,000.00 WERE "yanked" out of educational needs, that's "only" about $1,000.00 a year per student, and CSU would simply add $333.00 per student per semester to the "mandatory fees".

---
Good grief.. Jeb Bush just endorsed Cruz ... and Cruz didn't reject it. I can only imagine why Cruz didn't immediately reject such. You have to wonder if the GOP leadership has made a deal to keep their "power" intact.

---
Have asked Senator McKoon for an update on the Queen TT's attempt to piss us off. It will have to "pass the Senate today in the same form as the House in order to get on the ballot in November. Keep praying.. I do believe there is enough joint activity in the South and North Columbus communitioes to stop it in November, but... it's risky to allow it.

---
L-E story: "   A man who was shot Wednesday morning after Metro Narcotics Task Force agents executed a search warrant on Oates Avenue has been identified, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said." -- Hey Mayor TomLYINGson.. is this one of those houses that you want to raise taxes on? You carry it on the books at about $23K and collect some $363.00 annually (and without a "freeze" to "thaw". Truth is, that the house there cost us more than that in law enforcement response than its worth..

---
Relating to the above story: The owner of the rat trap above owns a number of similar valued "structures" that he rents out.. Council should enforce some sort of standard for rental properties and their maintenance when a person/corporation owns more than one rental property. None of these houses of the owner are going to contribute any more revenue than they do now, and at the same time, they depress the neighborhoods' ability to grow.

---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Either you think, or else others have to think for you and take power from you, pervert and discipline your natural tastes, civilize and sterilize you.” — F. Scott Fitzgerald, American author (1896-1940)." -- Hmm.. now we see the agenda creed of the Democratic Party's master plan to dumb down the public education system.

---
L-E story: " Georgia would be better off with more solar power farms (versus a nuclear power plant) like the one outside Columbus in Butler, Ga., and with wind energy, Woodall said." -- Good grief.. have you seen that "solar power farm"?  Hundreds of beautiful meadow and orchards acreage have been replaced with wall-to-wall solar panels, and we just read about the inefficiency of a solar powered plant in California that also blinds pilots with reflected light, and disintegrates birds as they fly over it.. can you imagine what placing a 7,000 acre solar farm would do to the dove and quail populations of Georgia?

---
L-E headline: "Courthouse parking on 12th Street may disappear * U.S. Marshals Service wants parking gone Part of upgrade on courthouse security Council needs to approve eliminating five parking spaces" -- Hmm.. "we", via Mayor TomLYINGson, have already paid some design firm a ton of money for the new street marking scheme.. and to be honest, if they eliminate that parking, there's no other use for it as it's not feasible or effective to have a lane for moving traffic that is only half a block long. Of course, it would also be the desired "coup de gras" for the US Post Office... which is the the real plan. Hmmm.. why not just move the Federal Court to the Carmike Building which has it's own.. and securable ... parking deck? Let the City buy it and rent it to the Federal Courts so Columbus could get some revenue back it will lose in tax revenues if a government entity buys it.

---
L-E headline/story: "Paul Ryan slams ‘ugliness’ in American politics * “When passions flare, ugliness is sometimes inevitable. But we shouldn’t accept ugliness as the norm,” Ryan told an invited audience of congressional interns on Capitol Hill. * “If someone has a bad idea, we tell them why our idea is better. We don’t insult them into agreeing with us,” he said." -- "we don't insult them into agreeing with us"? Well I have been insulted by what the GOP leadership ignores or puts off that "we" need to straighten up the course of America's future.. Vote.. support.. Trump!

---
L-E headline/story: "Garrett really does live in District 8 *  Folks also have questioned why the board paid $250,000 for the half-acre property that Garrett had bought for $154,000 only three years ago, in August 2013. Garrett said he spent “tens of thousands” of dollars renovating the house and wanted the board to pay him “a reasonable price” to live in a similar home. * Garrett said he originally asked for $300,000 and the only school district official he negotiated with was superintendent David Lewis. *  Lewis wasn’t reached for comment about this issue, but school board chairman Rob Varner insisted in a phone interview with the L-E that Garrett didn’t get a “sweetheart deal.”  “I assure you there is zero correlation between him running for office and the school board,” Varner said. “It has everything to do with the proximity to the school and nothing to do with who he is and what he’s running for.  * By the time the deal closes, Garrett said, he will have bought another house in the district or, “worst case scenario,” have moved in with his parents, who live in the district.” -- "moves in with his parents"? Since when is a "temporary address allowed as a qualification for residency? Besides, we don't need a "I owe you one" taxing authority "pal relationship" between the Council and MCSD.

---
Related comment to above story: "What makes this "purchase" even more suspect is that the MCSD could have acquired property at the corner of Forest and 17th St across from the school which has 4 tin=mes the property and a building worth saving and re-purposing for less than twice the price of the value Garrett first countered with, and.. it would have taken ALL the parking problems away.

---
L-E headline: "Cubans applaud Obama, but are skeptical about change" -- "skeptical about change"? Good grief.. how about their skepticism about "hope" as well.. you know those words ZERO-bamageddon campaigned on to get elected...

---
L-E headline: "Castro goes to airport to send Obama off" -- Yeah,, good riddance!  Castro already has what he wanted.

---

Looking at pictures of local high school teams' uniforms, why isn't there a MCSD/MCSB policy limiting athletic uniforms to the official school colors?

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

News out of Atlanta regarding Mayor TomLYINGson's assault on local taxpayers. The Senate has tabled it because of language being conflictory with constitutional issues. E-mail McKoon and Harbison your gratitude.

Online headline/story: "Veterans Benefits Administration chief suspended in relocation scam for allowing two lower-ranking officials to manipulate the agency's hiring system for their own gain. *  Deputy VA Secretary Sloan Gibson says acting VBA chief Danny Pummill will be suspended without pay for 15 days for his role in a relocation scam that has roiled the agency for months *   Pummill failed to exercise proper oversight as Kimberly Graves and Diana Rubens forced lower-ranking managers to accept job transfers and then stepped into the vacant positions themselves, keeping their senior-level pay while reducing their responsibilities * Under VA rules, Pummill can appeal his suspension to an independent arbiter. *   Rubens earns $181,497 as director of the VBA's Philadelphia regional office, while Graves receives $173,949 as head of the St. Paul, Minnesota, benefits office.  * Graves and Rubens were reprimanded Tuesday and had their pay cut by 10 percent. The two women were reinstated to their positions last month after administrative judges overturned their demotions." -- Good grief... no wonder our Vets are getting the "bum's rush". We need Trump.. all three of theses cretins need to hear, "You're Fired"!, loud and clearly...In fact.. The Public needs to send all the members of Congress' Veterans Affairs committees packing as well.

---
Online "headLIE": "Obama: US will do 'whatever is necessary' to bring Brussels bombers to justice" -- Yeah, right... all ISIS has to do is draw a "red line" in the sand, and ZERO-bamageddon won't even try to sneal across it.

---
The ISIS attacks in Brussels just reminded me of the situation I reported about last week. We went to Atlanta International Sunday a week ago to meet my daughter and her husband as they returned from Paris. We parked, strolled across the "bridge", and into the International waiting area. We met no security personnel. I could just as easily been a armed terrorist, and could have created immense havoc/chaos and escaped. Perhaps I was being watched, but without having any posted security personnel in that area left every other traveler/greeter in immense danger.

---
Well the Arizona primary and Utah caucus results are in.. Trump won Arizona with more votes and a higher percent that Romney got in 2012, and in Utah.. pretty much "Romney Country", even though Cruz won, in spite of Romney's spiel for Cruz, Cruz came up way short of the results Romney got there in 2012..

---
Interesting note in Arizona.. Rubi-ZERO came in 3rd ahead of Kasich, and Trump had 36% more votes than Cruz and Kasich COMBINED.

---
Interesting note in Utah...the "voter" turnout in Romney-ville was only 77% of the number that voted in 2102.. Guess Romney has lost some impact there as well.

---
The numbers in Utah were worse than the Romney caucus.. only 50% as many Dems turned out as in 2008, and Bernie beat Hillary 4-to-1.. Hillary only got 12,000 voters inspired to support her... and that was less than 25% of the number she got vs Obama in 2008.

---
Oh, and in the Idaho Democratic County Caucus, Bernie landslided Hillary,, again,, by a 4-to-1 margin..You know,, it's not so much that voters like Bernie... it's more like Hillary cannot get Democrats out to support her..

---
Online story: "In the wake of Brussells, former CNN host and outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has suggested it might be time to take Donald Trump seriously in the wake of Tuesday's terror attacks in Belgium." -- While it wasn't a full-fledged endorsement of Trump, here's a lib seeing the merits of Trump's plan to block Muslim immigration for what it is for.. our Nation's security.

---
Talk about leadership...all Trump has to do is mention what we all know.
that we don't get any benefit from the UN, and Cruz & Kasich are suddenly all for the UN.

---
Online headline: "Jane Fonda admits she didn't think she 'deserved' the same salary as men: 'My self-esteem was so low'" -- "didn't think she deserved the same salary as men"? She didn't, and still doesn't deserve American citizenship,!

---
Online headline: "Bill Clinton slams 'awful legacy of the last eight years', claims he was criticizing Republicans" -- What did I tell you..the Clintons just cannot live with themselves when they speak the truth and have to apologize profusely! Recently, Hillary did the same thing.. apologized for telling the truth about Republicans Ronald and Nancy Reagan. and now Slick Willie is experiencing his "truth remorse.. Bill knows that his legacy would have been even worse crap than it is if he had it not been going along with the Republicans when he was president.

---
L-E story: "Historic Golden Park, which the city was considering selling as surplus property, got a reprieve Tuesday afternoon, City Attorney Clifton Fay confirmed. * A deed restriction placed on the property around the time the stadium was built in 1926 prevents it from being used for any purpose other than recreation." --
Well, how about just tearing it down and making it a recreational green space until such time as the selling details can be worked out. Saving $80-$90,000.00 per year would be doing the taxpayers a great service. Regardless, when it.. and for that matter, when other "surplus properties" are sold, the money should be earmarked to the "fund Balance savings account.

---
From the "liberals always have good intentions" department - Online story: "California regulators may force a massive solar thermal power plant in the Mojave Desert to shut down after years of under-producing electricity — not to mention the plant was blinding pilots flying over the area and incinerating birds. * Ivanpah, which got a $1.6 billion loan guarantee from the Obama administration, only produced a fraction of the power state regulators expected it would. The plant only generated 45 percent of expected power in 2014 and only 68 percent in 2015, according to government data." --  Hmmm... looks like another taxpayer $1.6 BILLION is going to be incinerated like the birds.

---
Online story: "For 20 minutes Monday night, the Smyrna City Council meeting was taken over by protesters angered over the promotion of Smyrna Police Officer Kenneth Owens. *  Officer Owens has admitted to shooting Nicholas Thomas on March 24 last year, telling investigators he fired as Thomas sped by in a customer's Maserati at a tire shop.  * Owens claimed that he feared Thomas would hit a K-9 officer.*  Demonstrators believe the grand jury didn't get all of the evidence." -- "Demonstrators believe the grand jury didn't get all of the evidence"?  Hmm to cite Hillary.. what difference would it make to the demonstrators.. they were not assembled about justice...

---
Online headline: "Johnny Isakson: Georgia should leave ‘religious liberty’ up to feds" --
leave religious liberty up to the feds"?  The feds don't want us to have ANY liberty! Good grief.. whoever is running against Isakson has my vote! Gonna check out others and will let you know which one.

---
L-E story: "Columbus Council stepped away Tuesday from a decision on whether to approve a contract with a private pool operator to take over the aquatic center. *  Faced with a proposal to approve an $825,000 contract with a suburban Atlanta company, which would cut the hours of operation from 89 a week to 45, council voted to remove the issue from the table *   “I’m not going to vote for 45 hours,” Councilor Pops Barnes said. “I’m just not going to do it.” -- "I’m not going to vote for 45 hours"? Good grief.. then close the dang building altogether! It's not a choice of 45 or 89 hours, it's a choice of whether a facility can be useful and not a drain on the taxpayers. If there was a "need" for 89 hours, then the public users would be responding  positively and such would be an issue. Try it for 45 hours a week.. swimmers will adjust, and if an event is scheduled, let the sponsor pay for opening it up full time on the days needed. We just have too many Councilors who don't have to run businesses that understand it to be profitable to meet a payroll.

---
Not a good night  for Mayor TomLYINGson... no vote on the AquaCenter, no vote on Golden Park, and NO VOTE for her tax freeze!

---
L-E headline: "GEORGIA LEGISLATURE * Lawmakers pack agenda as end of session nears" -- How could the L-E run this story and not mention the status of Mayor TomLYINGson's "thaw" initiative? Word was out yesterday that the Senate version has been taken of the table becuase of wording.

---
L-E headline: "DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT * 7 ideas for Carmike building * Some see it as office space that could attract a large white-collar employer Some see it as a prime location for a hotel * Others see it as mix of office, retail, residential" -- Hmmm.. you know, all the "ideas" are good.. even feasible.. but you what's going to happen.. either the City or CSU will buy it and the building on 3rd Ave & 13th Street, and Columbus will lose another $94,000.00 in tax revenue.. Hmm.. better get Golden Park torn down faster.. City is going to need to cut the $80-$90,000.00 revenue losses pronto!

L-E headline: "Urban League closer to hiring CEO" -- Good grief.. not one word about the salary range or who's paying it...

L-E story: "Big companies are pushing back against proposed federal rules they say would require their medical plans to cover gender transition and other services under the nondiscrimination mandate of President Barack Obama’s health care law." -- "require their medical plans to cover gender transition"? Online headline/story: "US says it may not need Apple to open San Bernardino iPhone * The announcement on Monday that an unnamed third party had presented a way of breaking into the phone on Sunday - just two days before the hearing and after weeks of heated back-and-forth in court filing" -- Apple just "bit" itself in the butt by not being patriotic..... Now the world knows Apple's encryption is not as safe from 3rd security hackers as its users believed.

Online headline: "Donald Trump calls Elizabeth Warren 'the Indian' after she calls him a 'loser' -- Good for Trump.. Elizabeth Warren has been an embarrassment to this country, Harvard, liberalism, and the  Democratic Party by claiming she was Native American to get ahead in her career and political life. She's a disgrace as a Senator for her comments about an American citizen and success story. Pee Wee Herman's repartee best suits her comment.. "I know you are. but what am I?"

---
Online headline: "Anti-Trump ad slams his wife over racy nude photos - A conservative super PAC is hoping to convince Mormons to vote against the 2016 hopeful with an image of Melania Trump posing naked in furs and jewelry." -- Good grief... don't you know Ann Romney is just beaming with pride about the (_*_)s her husband is associating with? On the other hand, now Mormons and the rest of America know that Donald Trump's spouse "has nothing to hide" ....like Hillary's does. Oh.. and America's women can cast their votes for a real woman instead of Hillary.

---
Online headline: "Ivanka Trump accused of ripping off popular shoe design" -- Is there nothing.. or no one that in Donald Trump's life that mainscream media will not attack?  Well, I guess the "sacredness" of a criticizing a candidate's children has been thrown under the bus.. Chelsea and her husband are in for a bumpy ride for the next 7+ months.

---
HuffPOOPOO story: "Hillary Clinton, without naming the president, tweaked Obama for his strained relationship with Netanyahu. “One of the first things I’ll do in office is invite the Israeli prime minister to visit the White House,” she offered to raucous applause." -- Good grief.. how... why .. does anyone applaud the promises of a person they know is probably lying?

---
How does the Jewish community put any credence in Hillary's assurance that she stands solidly with Israel when she campaigns on continuing ZERO-bamageddon's presidency.

---
Alan Colmes.....unbelievably called Trump a "patholgical liar"..Good grief..by what definition? Alan Colmes has regurgitated every ZERO-bamageddon, Hillary and Slick Willie lie as "fact" for as long as he's been asked.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "How Obama Set A Trap For Raul Castro"-- Hmm, and Raul Castro replied.. "please Br'er Obama, pu-leeeese don't throw me in that briar patch"

----
Word is out that American business that start back up in Cuba will pay minimum wages.. only they will pay them to the Cuban government rather than the employees themselves.. Then... the Cuban government will pay the workers the Cuban standard of $2,00 and hour. Yep.. Cuba has exceeded all the human rights improvements that ZERO-bamageddon insisted to be in place before opening up the doors.

---
Online headline: "Marines brace for mandatory sensitivity training" -- Good grief.. isn't it bad enough that our Marines have to be shot at before engaging the enemy?

---
Bleep Veep Biden vowed that the US will not allow Iran to build nuclear weapons in violation of the treaty. Biden vows that America will step.in and stop any such attempts. Hmmm, is he saying he's going to support Trump, as neither ZERO-bamageddon, Hillary or Bernie is going to cross the "red line".

---
OK..should Golden Park be sold for $3.7+ Million...what does Mayor TomLYINGson want to do with te proceeds? If it's anything but putting back into the depleted "fund balance", then Council should be replaced...starting with those running for re-election this May, and any opponents should be made to state their positions on this.

---
L-E headline: "City to propose contract to cut aquatic center hours in half *Center has been open for 89 hours weekly Present budget will only support 45 hours, company says * Hurricanes’ coach calls decision ‘really disappointing’" -- Good grief.. then the Hurricane's coach ought to step up and pay enough to keep it open!!! Obviously, the natatorium (at least I hope "obviously") will be open the most used/desired hours.. who can complain about that? As for events.. when one is booked, the natatorium can be kept open those hours necessary... IF the event PAYS for those hours.

---
Of all the leftist cartoonist the L-E runs, this guy is in foul territory beyond "Left Field"

I cannot see how anyone can make the argument that "Islam" has ever been great.

----------------------------------------------------------
L-E headline: "Millionaires’ group asks N.Y. governor to raise their taxes" -- Good grief.. they're libs.. and everyone knows they are lying... if they thought Cuomo would do this while NY is campaigning for new businesses on a "lowest tax rates in years" basis, they wouldn't open their mouths.

---

LIV's (Liberal Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": "Yes, I am a Trump hater and if you, Trump lover, think there is anything decent about him, you are living in an alternate universe. Profanities, vulgarities, insults. That’s all he’s got." -- "alternate universe"? Well.. I guess hearing the truth from a politician is an "alternate universe" for a liberal.. Wonder what he/she "feels" about Bleep Veep Biden's "open mic" expletives?

Monday, March 21, 2016

Online headline: "Protester punched, kicked at Donald Trump rally in Arizona" -- Hmmm didn't see one question about whether the circumstance was possibly staged by the protesters, but what I wany to ask is why aren't Trump protesters out supporting Hillary or Bernie in a positive manner instead of protesting Trump? If Trump supporters were as bad as mainscream media is trying to portray us, why aren't there incidences of Trump supporters disrupting Hillary rallies?

---
Online headline: "'I was a suicide bomber': Paris suspect charged in Belgium" -- "was a suicide bomber"? Sounds to me he "dissed" Allah.. why not send him back to ISIS and let ISIS execute him.. it'll be quicker ... and more certain.

---
Online story: ""Donald Trump's vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land," a Fox News spokesperson said in a statement emailed to Business Insider." --  You know.. Fox has just demoted itself from a news network to tabloid level.. Fox should decode whether its anchors are to be  disseminating the truth "fair and balanced" or are just celebrities with their own agenda.

---
Online headline: "4 things Warren Buffett wants you to know" --  Too bad one of them is that he's supporting Hillary...

---
Online headline: " POLITICAL FOOTBALL Religious liberty bill may cost Atlanta Super Bowl" -- Good grief..the Governor just signed a bill exempting the NFL Super Bowl tickets from having to pay the state and Atlanta sales taxes, so the NFL is not going away, nor will any Super Bowl ticket buyer stay away from Atlanta. This is just a bogus attempt at railroading the Freedom of Religion Act.

---
L-E story: " Earlier this month, U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop invited a three-star Army general to Columbus to address a group of about 100 political, business and civic leaders." -- "100 political, business and civic leaders"? How about some clarity here.. is that 100 randomly invited "political, business and civic leaders" or was it the "100 Men" segregated organization?

---
From above story: "Bishop recently instructed his staff to discuss the Army’s findings with the Ledger-Enquirer, which was not present at the March 8 meeting where Lt. Gen. Anderson spoke. " -- Wow! Congressman Bishop had a moment we don't normally see in a Democrta.. he told the truth when he left the L-E out of the grouping pf "political, business and civic leaders!

---
From the above story: " What happened at Fort Benning was part of a broader Army-wide effort to reduce troop numbers and cut costs. The Army has moved to downsize from 570,000 troops to 450,000 in two phases. Fort Benning gained 400 troops in the initial cuts of about 80,000 Army-wide, but it was tagged to lose 3,402 positions in the second round, with the 3rd Brigade Armored Combat Team told in the summer of 2015 that it was being deactivated." --  Hey. Mayor TomLYINGson.. losing 3,402 "positions" and the other losses of civilian support jobs is what is keeping the house prices down, not the tax freeze!

---
L-E headline/story: "Columbus Council seeks approval to declare Golden Park surplus property *  During its 5:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting at the City Services Center, the 10-member council will consider a proposal from City Manager Isaiah Hugley to authorize the sale of 5.53 acres of property valued at $3.7 million.
*   The park has been in the hands of the city for 88 years, since it was conveyed to the Commissioners of Commons of the City of Columbus on Jan. 30, 1928  *  Although the 4,500-seat stadium was renovated in 1994 for softball events during the Olympics, it was used for minor league baseball teams until 2008. With no minor league team using the facility, the park is currently used only for special events. * The park is costing the city an average of $93,000 a year, with expenses exceeding revenues. It also needs about $2.7 million in renovations." -- Wow.. In 1990, yours truly suggested tearing down that ancient superstructure and make way for a perfect site for a Civic Center that would connect to an array of restaurants and hotel facilities via Braodway (as well as keep the Veteran's Parkway a ccess)/ At the same time. build a new 4,500-5,000 seat baseball field on the then available land now occupied (mostly) by AutoNation that would also double as an outdoor music facility... AND go after Olympic baseball games to be played there.  Instead, Council decided to eventually spend that $7,000,000.00 on a softball renovation at Golden Park that ruined minor league baseball in Columbus.. Hmmm ..bet  my everyday observations will look 20-20 in hindsight in the future like the one I had in 1990. OH.. also, isn't Golden Park protected by the "historic" designation?

---
L-E story: ": Microsoft says it was “unequivocally wrong” for hosting a party with scantily dressed female dancers during a video game developers’ conference." -- Yeah yeah, but those geeks really looked like they were having fun...

---
Last week in Utah, Chelsea stated explicitly that her mother was planning to extend ObamaCRAP to illegal aliens... what a dilemma, we conservatives know all the Clintons lie,..but...can we depend on such being a lie that Democrats will recognize?

---
After all the dust has settled, only 2 teams out of the top 32 in the NCAA tournament remain in the "Sweet Sixteen". Providence has them squaring off in this round so only 1 will get into the "Elite Eight:... that's still 1 too many.

---
Columbus Council Agenda: Purchases: "UPGRADE OF FINANCE/PAYROLL/BUDGET/HUMAN RESOURCES SYSTEM: It is requested that council approve the purchase of the CGI Advantage 360 upgrade of the Finance/Payroll/Budget and Human Resources System from CGI (Fairfax, VA). The cost includes: an Annual SaaS Subscription fee in the amount of $459,126 for 10 years (which replaces the current annual maintenance fee paid by Information Technology), and implementation cost paid as follows: FY16-$60,000, FY17-$764,067, FY18-$764,067 and FY19-$764,067." -- Can someone clarify this... for the Councilors... by the meeting? Is it $459,126.00 for 10 years or a 10 year subscription for $459,126.00,,?

---
Democrat voters must be the most desperate...the most delusioned group of people in America. You know, what future can you see wanting.to believe her when she swears "she cares", but you KNOW she's lying?

---
Under ZERO-bamageddon, our National Deby has risen from a little over $10 TRILLION to over $19 TRILLION. We've moved from solvent to the 3rd worse ratio of tax revenues-to-debt in the world.. only Japan and Greece are ranked worse. Worse yet is that the current Republican leadership aren't worried about it. Vote Trump!

---
A "contributor" from the Arizona Republic on Fox said the protest blockade in Arizona was Trump's fault for picking a rally site that could have a 6-lane highway blocked by parking in the traffic lanes. It's the state's largest newspaper.. Not sure what's its rank is currently, but in 2013, it dropped from 16th to 21st by circulation. Can't wait to see how much it drops after this year.

---
Good grief...Bernie is.in Arizona telling whoever will listen that Sheriff Joe Arpiao is a "bully" for enforcing the EXISTING immigration laws. To me, Sheriff Joe is a hero for not kowtowing to ZERO-bamageddon or his attack dogs at the DOJ.

---
You know, with 50,000,000 (up from 15,000,000 when ZERO-bamageddon took office) now on food stamps, why is it that Democrats think that individually funded Social Security accounts are the reason our National Debt is now over $19 TRILLION and soaring?

---
L-E headline: "Obama arrives in Cuba for what he calls ‘historic visit’" -- "historic"? Hysteric is more appropriate.. Only ZERO-bamageddon has the distinction of a US president that has embraced Hugo Chavez and the Castros. three of the worst human rights offenders in the world.

---
Microsoft says it was “unequivocally wrong” for hosting a party with scantily dressed female dancers during a video game developers’ conference.

Online headline: "Mitt Romney reveals which 2016 candidate he's voting for" -- Excuse me.. but where does Romney live? He has a number of homes from California-to-Utah-to-New Hampshire-to-Massachusetts, but  where is he registered to vote? He demolished his small California home to build a new mansion on the same site (and even that is suspect as it appears he's got real estate agents trying to sell it). California's primary is in June, but will he be a resident?. Utah has it's caucus this Tues, and Massachusetts and New Hampshire have already had their primaries.. so it looks like Romney may not be able to vote at all.. much less for Cruz.

---
You know, if it came down to a choice of Hillary or Bernie and Kasich, the South might secede again.

---
Online headline: "Obama asks for advice prior to Cuba trip" -- Yeah... like ZERO-bamageddon would take/use it.

---
So much for Kasich thinking "Blue Lives Matter":... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF0_Qe4zNrE

---
Well, half of the first round  games played in the NCAA March Insaneness have been and 13 higher ranked teams were eliminated before the round of 32.  That means that the round of 32 has only 19 of the top 32 ranked/seeded teams. Las Vegas is happy, and most office pools are shot.

---
Online headline: "Obama: GOP will be punished for SCOTUS battle" -- Hmm.. versus all of America's furure being punished, even damaged, if the GOP approves one of ZERO-bamageddon's choices? I'm with the GOP on this one.

---
Who is Hollywood kidding...Batman vs Superman? No way Batman can fend off a Superman right punch!

---
ZERO-bamageddon has requested an additional $588.000.00 be added to the 2017 budget to take care of the added costs authorized by the Former Presidents Act.  He'll be going from President to "former President" in January. There was a graph of the current "former Presidents'" annual pensions/costs. You'd think there'd be some sort of consistenct.. or at least rhyme/reason in what the pensions for each are.. but there isn't..
Bush43 gets a pension of $214,000.00
Clinton gets a pension of $218,000.00
Bush41 gets a pension of $205,000.00
Carter gets a pension of $205,000.00

You know. I'd think all the former presidents would get the same.. or that the longest out of office would get a little more due to COLA increases, but why does Bill Clinton get more than the others?

---
L-E headline/story: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S RACE * Brown, Smith could be disqualified
Candidates miss deadline for state-mandated fingerprinting for background checks *  Decision to disqualify up to elections board If disqualified, Tompkins will be lone Democrat in primary *  Two of the three Democratic qualifiers for Muscogee County sheriff could be disqualified from the race after missing the state-mandated fingerprinting deadline for a background check. *  In 1980, Paul Grogan, a candidate for sheriff in Paulding County, was disqualified for missing the fingerprinting deadline and appealed the decision. The Paulding County Superior Court upheld the disqualification, and then the Georgia Supreme Court upheld the lower court’s decision" -- "could be disqualified"? Good grief.. there has been precedence for this upheld by the GA Supreme Court.. why is there any question?

---
The L-E is at a quandary about continuing/discontinuing it's "anonymous" Sound Off feature.. This may be the solution: Fire Dusty Nix as the "selector" and get someone who's somewhat less left leaning at the L-E to take over..Sorry.. don't know what I'm thinking.. there is no one at the L-E less left leaning. Stick the fork in it.

---
LIV's (Liberal Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": "If Republican legislators believe guns in backpacks at college will increase safety for students, wouldn’t gun at the Capitol increase safety for legislators?" -- I guess this LIV feels Democrats are already safe in Washington... but let's make it more interesting.. eliminate armed guards for Congressperson in Washington, DC, and we'd see a lot better respect paid to the 2nd Amendment and the rights of law abiding Americans.

---
You know.. it's about time for businesses to take their security more serious.. I suggest making all entries two-staged.. a front door that enters into a foyer with a second door leading into the main space. Security cameras that spot anyone entering the first door wearing a mask or hoodie or even a billed hat covering the face, immediately notify the police, and lock both both doors. Just basic rules of etiquette demand gentlemen to remove their hats and such when inside.

---
There's a "food truck festival" planned in downtown Columbus today.. it'll cost "goers" $5.00 a head for anyone over 12 to go in and order food.. Hmmm.. guess I won't be going.. it's sort like being asked to "tip bi" before you get served your food..

---

Robert Steele, a member of Dallas' Super Bowl  XIII team, presented a commemorative 50th Anniversary Golden Football to Hardaway High School here in Columbus.. He was always a man and I remember him best as the shortstop on our St Paul UMC men's softball team. We had an unusual infield.. ot went 6' 3" at First base, 6' 4" at Second base, Robert at 6' 5" at Short, and yours truly at 6' 6" manning Third base. I remember one opponent seeing us for the first time remarking.. "are we playing softball or basketball?"

Online headline: "Newark schools test students for lead" -- Hmmm ... two lines of thought here.. 1- that this is a test that students will pass, 2 - like all current school testing, no one will pass. Besides, why is this "news" now.. it won't be news until AFTER the tests.

---
Online headline: "After President Obama urged donors to unite behind Hillary Clinton on Thursday, Sanders spoke out on the rumors he would drop out of the race." -- "after Obama urged donors"? Good grief.. has ZERO-bamageddon has no shame.. no respect for a;; Americans that.... OH!... I think I already answered that .. he doesn't have any shame for himself or respect for Americans.

---
What's with liberals calling Trump a Fascist and worse.. Fascists and worse are the government icons that want to take away your guns, religious rights, and freedom of speech.. If liberals want to attack someone on that basis, they should start on ZERO-bamageddon, Hillary and Bernie.

---
Online story: " The top U.S. military officer, Marine General Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the Senate on Thursday that it would harm the morale of U.S. forces to order them to carry out activities such as waterboarding or targeting civilians, options previously cited by leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump." -- Good grief.. with Obama in office, and Hillary or Bernie wanting to replace him, our military has a lot worse in store for it if Trump doesn't win! US Marine vets, as well as active Marines, should be up at arms over Gen Dunford's assessment!

---
Online headline/story: "Giant Texas cross sparks atheist lawsuit (and you won't believe why) *
Lifelong atheist Patrick Greene said the cross is a safety hazard and said it should not be seen from the highway. * “I don’t think it should be within eyesight because it jeopardizes people’s safety on the road,” he said." -- "a safety hazard"? An atheist, or even an agnostic should be laughed out of court on this one.. Ironically, maybe this cross will be his soul saving sign should Mr. Greene be struck down by a moving vehicle as he's pointing the cross out to other travelers.

---
You know.. all the RNC/GOP Leadership conspiring to undermine Trump just gives Democrats and mainscream media more ammunition to claim the Republicans are the reason for Washington gridlock and incompetence... and I'm about to agree..

---
Earlier this week, we heard the Grand Dragon of the KKK had endorsed Hillary...any body seen her deny or refute this?

---
While catastrophic medical situations are beyond most people's ability to handle, basic insurance does not save people money or lower medical costs. Insurance companies are in the business to make money...as much money as they can. The only way that will curtail higher medical costs is to keep procedural costs and medicine costs from skyrocketing further is to keep insurance companies from colluding with hospitals, doctors, and pharmaceutical companies. If those entities have to appeal to patients as to the value of their products, we'd see lower costs, and insurance companies would have more competition to get individuals to use their, basically, accounting and payment services.

---
Well..Kerry just confirmed that on "his opinion", ISIS is committing genocide against Christians. Of course he clumped in Shiite Muslim, too, even though that battle is more of an ongoing civil war versus the elimination of Christians purely because they aren't Muslims. Of course, Kerry did nothing.

---
Hey, Kerry, now will you denounce Hillary's failure protect US Christians in Benghazi?

---
Democrat Senator Harry Reid has no good words for Donald Trump...I take that as a personal endorsement to vote for Trump.

---
LIV's (Liberal Informed Voter) L-E "soundoff": -- "Georgia made news with the Religious Liberty legislation, and a major company is moving out of Georgia. This is most likely just the start." -- Good grief.. only in liberalville is a a one-man artsy-fartsy graphics company considered a "major " company..

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": -- "Feckless President has outsmarted incompetent GOP by nominating a moderate, good man for Supreme Court. If GOP senators don’t act, they risk losing the Senate. If Clinton is elected with Dem Senate, we are doomed." -- It's a camouflage move when a liberal describes ZERO-bamageddon as "feckless", but your Trump vote will curtail all hope of a 5th liberal.. even a "progressive liberal"  being seated on the Supreme Court.

---
Informed L-E "soundoff": -- "   I just went by the Fire Department on Warm Springs Road and it still sits empty. Where are the city’s priorities?" -- DOH! on roundabouts and bicycle paths/lanes.

---
In the L-E's "Today in History" feature: " In 1974, most of the Arab oil-producing nations ended their 5-month-old embargo against the United States that had been sparked by American support for Israel in the Yom Kippur War. -- Well here it is.. proof that Muslim Nations have no regard for Israel or Jews, and the Muslim world will barter whatever it has to pressure the US. I'm just confused at why the Jewish vote supports Democrats  who don't support US oil independence.....

---
You know, the last time the US "brokered" a presidency was when Gerald Ford replaced Nixon.. We got an "established" inside GOPer that was agreeable to Democrats...sorta like Kasich in today's scenario.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “No man has a right in America to treat any other man tolerantly, for tolerance is the assumption of superiority.” — Wendell Willkie, American politician (1892-1944)." -- Hmmm.. Won't find this in the Democrats front office, but it is exactly what the Democrats use to sway splinter groupd into supporting the true core of the Democratic Party.

---
L-E headline...but more probably a "headLIE": -- "Georgia unemployment rate unchanged at 5.4%
*  February rate stronger than average over last 3 years *  State experiences sharp decline in first-time filings *  Columbus area adds 400 jobs over the past year" -- If Columbus added 400 jobs it was how many were hired to clean out the buildings of the companies that left or closed..don't put much credence in what government releases as "facts", nor in how the L-E "spins" it.

---
L-E headline/story: "DC subway system loses its luster *  The closure of the subways in the nation’s capital in the middle of the workweek to inspect and repair power cables that could otherwise burst into flames was just the latest symptom of a lengthy decline for the Metro system, once a source of regional pride." -- "regional pride"? Don't we send our representatives to Washington to create "National Pride"?

Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: "DC subway system loses its luster * It’s also the only major transit system in the United States without a tax that provides a dedicated revenue stream." -- "only major transit system in the United States without a tax that provides a dedicated revenue stream."? You know.. why do we re-elect representatives to send back to Washington.. especially Democrats, when Congress cannot figure out a way to create something that operates profitably so it mainstains its viability. Heck, why are we sending back Council persons when they have a worse record of this than Congress!

---
L-E headline/story: "MANCHESTER EXPRESSWAY CIRCLE K * 15-year-old pleads guilty to robbery * A 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty Thursday in Columbus Recorder’s Court to the 2015 Circle K armed robbery on Manchester Expressway that left a clerk and customer injured." -- Good grief.. a 15-year old involved with armed robbery.. and more recently, we had a 15-year old involved in the brutal killing of 3 in a family in Upatoi. .. what gets me even more upset is that the black community will blame the police for such behaviors. The madness has to stop!

---
Soapbox Moment: College tuition is not the reason college costs are soaring.. True, they have risen at above inflation rates, but its the mandatory expenses of fees, meal programs, and dormitory room  especially for freshmen students that set the bar so high.. The dorm room conspiracy hurts the most.. freshman students from out-of-town are required to stay in college connected dorms at rates per square foot that would be high in NYC, and a new wrinkle in the laws of GA allows State schools to sell their existing (and new construction) dorms to outside companies, then force the students to use them at non-competitive rates.  Our legislators can put a stop to this... now,, will they?

---
L-E story: " The Air Force has fired one of its most senior officers after an investigation into whether he had an affair with a married female officer found that they had exchanged emails that were “sexually suggestive.” -- Good grief.. a General gets "fired" for a "sexually suggestive" e-mail, and our former Secretary has dodged arrests for "secret specific" e-mails.. where's the DOJ on this?

---

From the NCAA March Insaneness" department: Yale upset Baylor.. now plays Duke.. just one more reason to return to a field of 32 teams.. now the "round of 32" will feature Yale Vs Duke instead of Baylor vs Duke.. show me how basketball fans and viewers win on this deal?
