Online headline: "Women may decide the 2016 election" -- Good grief... name me an election in our lifetime that hasn't been decided by women.

---
Now that Hillary looks assured of the Democrat nomination, pundits are saying Bernie's continuing campaign will be a "headache" for Hillary....huh! Good grief...it doesn't matter which Democrat candidate survives because either will be a "headache" for economic growth.

---
Those violent protesters at California Trump rallies...illegal aliens waving Mexican flags... this is exactly why "the Wall" needs to be built...no other country would permit illegal aliens to be involved in its election process...well, with the exception of Jimmy Carter sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

---
Online headline: "Chaos erupts as protesters storm Trump rally" -- Wait a minute... why is Trump "getting the credit"? This disturbance is neither Trump orchestrated nor desired.. this is purely opposition
initiated and urged by Democratic Party supporters. Why doesn't the mainscream even attempt to "attribute" this violence to the Democrats?

---
Wow! Today is my granddaughter's 4th birthday.. she just came into my office to give me a dose of "sunshine", and immediately asked if I would "measure" her..I sprang to my feet and we went to the "measuring" spot (door jamb in Kitchen)) where she backed up as tall as she could be.. guess what.. she's grown another 3/4ths an inch in the last 5 weeks. Today, she's 4 and stands 3' 8".

---
Finally, after two + decades, we have 2 candidates that aren't promising the same things. Sadly. this scares the RNC/GOP leadership.

---
Last year, I got information that the MCSD had 500-plus buses in its inventory, and 207 bus drivers. Yesterday, I saw a new school bus.. marked with the 2016 ID number. Why have they spent more money on  new buses?

---
Anyone else remember when Carly Fiorina said on the Jimmy Kimmel Show that she'd "be fine with a Muslim president"?

---
Following Wednesday night's Indiana endorsement for Trump by Bobby Knight, Indiana's governor endorsed Cruz/Fiorina yesterday.. Trump wins.

---
Talk about a perfect b'day on Thurday:  in addition to golf, a Dinglewood Scramble dog, a Cheddar's Monte Christo sandwich, and a Pat-A-Cake chocolate cake, I got tickets to the Bill O'Reilly-Dennis Miller Show at the Fox in Atlanta!

---
Hmmm go figure.... Hillary says the gun industry is to blame when individuals use guns illegally... next she'll probably try to blame the computer industry  because she used her computer illegally.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Jesus said you cannot serve God and Mammon. I don’t see how people can worship guns and God simultaneously. Especially since guns are one of Satan’s favorite tools." -- Hmmm.. the fact that Satan's followers are the most abusive of guns just proves God's promise to provide for us law abiding Christians a way to be protected from Satan's minions.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Doctors sign for handicap permits; they don’t know who drives. Then Grandma’s handicapped-designated car may be the most used car by her family. Why not? She hasn’t be able to drive for years." -- It's not about the driver.. its about the use when the designated handicapee is or isn't in the vehicle.

---
L-E headline/story: "Veteran faces newcomer for District 10 council seat *  Reese said he chose to seek a citywide council seat rather than a district seat because he believes that with both Henderson and at large Councilor Judy Thomas living in north Columbus, people in that end of town have more representation than citizens on the south side. *  “Part of my concern is that people tell me they do not have a representative" -- Hmmm... little does Teddy Reese know that people in North Columbus have the same concerns about not having a representative...Henderson voted to endanger our tax freeze, and I cannot remember the last time he answered a question or concern of mine.. it's Reese's opportunity to win or lose my vote.

---
L-E headline: "Duke, Vann: It’s time for Bishop to leave * Duke lost to Bishop in 2014 Candidates see loss of jobs in district as big issue Vann is concerned about national debt" -- Another choice, Bobby Scott died recently.. as of now, I think we need a real fresh Constitution minded candidate so it's Vann for me.

---

L-E story: "  A U.S. aerial gunship attack on a hospital in Afghanistan that killed 42 people occurred because of human errors, process mistakes and equipment failures, and none of the aircrew or U.S. ground troops knew the target was a hospital, a top U.S. general said Friday." -- Whoa! It wasn't the Syrians! Reminds me of another Democratic Party president that sent missiles into an aspirin factory in Somalia.. we certainly don't need Hillary behind the phone at 3:00AM.

It's a sign of the times...Now it seem Bernie, Cruz, and Kasich are basicly hanging around to get their "participation trophy" before they go home. Wonder if Hillary will demand that no score be kept in the November election.

---
Wednesday, Trump hit a "Grand Slam", walk-off home run in his foreign policy speech in the morning, , and Wednesday night, he made a "360 Slam Dunk" when Bobby Knight endorsed him in Indiana.

---
Online story: "The Republican Party's favorability ratings keep declining, even among those within the party itself, according to a new poll from Pew Research Center. * Pew Research reported that the decline in favorability since the fall "has largely come among Republicans themselves: In the current survey, 68% of Republicans view their party positively, down from 79% last fall." It comes amid the rise of Donald Trump, who looks more and more to be the party's standard bearer in the 2016 election." -- You know.. this is not surprising in the least.. but it is quickly reversible.. The decline in favorability is amongst the rank and file members/voters..and the executive level better grasp the reason of Trump's popularity if it wants gain in the Congressional races.

---
Online story: 'Just hours after the Secret Service announced it was planning to raise the fence surrounding the White House to reduce the risk of jumpers, it got a taunting message from Donald Trump, * "President Obama understands that you build strong, tall, beautiful walls to keep people out who don't belong," Trump wrote on his Facebook page. And just to make sure they got the reference, he added a link to NBC Washington's report on the proposed plans to raise the fence. "People who get permission can enter the White House LEGALLY!," Trump added. -- Good grief.. ZERO-bama should be calling for the fence around the White House to be torn down to match his policy of inclusion. ... he's such a hypocrite!

---
The Obama administration took fire at a House hearing Thursday for releasing back into society thousands of illegal immigrants who had committed crimes on U.S. soil – including those behind more than 200 murders.
 *  “These are people that were here illegally, got caught committing a crime, were convicted of that crime and instead of deporting them, they were just released back out in the United States of America,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said." -- Good grief.. vote for Trump.. he'll round then up and put them inside the new higher White House fence the day after the election, and not let them of the ZERO-bamas leave until Trump is sworn in January 20, 2017.

---
Online headline/story: "Teacher fired for using 'unapproved' word during art class * Vagina is the word substitute art teacher Allison Wint used in her class last Thursday. It's also the word that she said got her fired the next day." -- and you wonder what they call it in mandatory Sex Ed class?

---
Online story: "Three people linked to the couple responsible for December's mass shooting in San Bernardino, California were arrested on Thursday on conspiracy," -- Hey, Apple,, you could have been a hero.. and your sales wouldn't have dropped off the table this past quaryer.

---
L-E headline: "Biden advises Iraq on political crisis" -- Good grief.. why would even ZERO-bama send in the understudy for Moe in the next 3-Stooges' movie?

---
Why is Biden in Iraq? All I can think of is he's trying to pad his resume in case he's drafted as the Democratic nominee should Hillary get arrested before November.

---
ASSwad just attacked a Syrian hospital manned by "Doctors Without Borders". This is what happens when an American president won't support his promise to act when an (_*_) spits in his face.

---
North Korea just failed again in showing the world it has fire power to strike targets from 2000 miles away. If Trump was in office, like Reagan showed Gaddafy, he'd send in a precision strike taking out Kim Jong Il's guard towers. ZERO-bama...he'll head out to the golf course

---
Good grief...Republican spinmeisters are now try to compare Trump to Romney after Romney's failed attempt to discredit Trump...how pathetic!

---
From the "gimmee a break" department: What is Cruz thinking? With no path to the nomination, he's picked a VP choice that has less traction among Republican voters than he does.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Only in America can a wife who posed for nude pictures become FLOTUS." -- Good grief.. this writer is obviously a victim of Common CRAP Curriculum.. The wife of the past president of France..which by the way is ZERO-bama's perfect government form... Carla Bruni Sarkozy is an international nude model. You would think liberals would know this..

---
Why are we getting notices that a third party is being paid to do property assessments for Columbus? What are the people at the Tax Assessor's Office doing for the salaries they are drawing?  This really rankles.. how can an outside party "know" what property values should be in Columbus? Value of property is between a willing seller and a willing buyer.. not a computer logarithm.

---
Seems Whoopi  has changed her mind about leaving the country if Trump wins... guess she's seeing the handwriting on the wall... that Hillary will lose.

---
L-E headline: "Political newcomers trying to fill District 8 council seat" -- Hmmm.. Walker Garrett vs Jonathan Paul Davis... I've got to go with the one I feel will stand up for homeowners and vote against the ballot referendum that strips the state Amendment that protects homeowners. Davis...

---
The way it stands. Sheriff John Darr may be the last one standing when the November Election date arrives..that would be justice.. though I disagreed with hois decision to be a character witness in the sentencing stage of a crime, Darr has done incredible work running the Sheriff's office in spite of internal attacks led by Mayor TomLYINGson.

---
Perpetual  L-E Letter Writer Judy F. Brouillette is the perfect example of the quote of Ronald Reagan: “It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so.”.. I just wish she'd learn how to express it wasting less trees. I also wish the L-E would reveal that she use to be the treasurer of the Muscogee Democrats but they replaced her.

---
L-E story: "Fiat Chrysler and Google’s self-driving car project are in advanced talks to form a technical partnership." -- How appropriate.. a Fiat-Chrysler car that will know where it is when it breaks down.

---

Yesterday  was my birthday... and it was a better day than Trump had on Tuesday.. my bride and I played 6 holes of golf at Godwin Creek Executive Course  (skipped 3 holes for time reasons), and teamed up for a 1-under par score,  followed by scramble dogs at Dinglewood, for lunch, then a Monte Christo sandwich at Cheddar's for supper, and a Pat-A-Cakes triple-chocolate cake afterwards. Wahoo!

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Online headline: "Survey shows surge in disapproval of Obamacare" -- Hmmm.. guess the truth has a different tint when it's reported by Trump rather than one of ZERO-bama's gossipmongers.

---
Online headline: "Melania Trump lashed out at the GQ Magazine for allegedly having a set 'agenda' after an article about her family life was published on Wednesday." -- Good grief.. if GQ wants to run stories about candidates wives, then first it should take on Michele Obama's personal White House staff, and vacation travels. .. then the Clinton Foundation's personal expenditures on Hillary.

---
Online story: "U.S. authorities staged the largest gang takedown in New York City history on Wednesday, arresting 120 reputed rival gang members and their associates for murder, robbery, drug dealing and other charges, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said. *  Nearly 700 federal agents and New York City Police Department officers were involved in Wednesday's pre-dawn raids in the Bronx, which were part of an effort to make the city's public housing projects safer for their roughly 400,000 residents amid a surge of violence, Bharara said. " -- Good grief.. it took 700 law enforcement personnel to haul in 120 gang members, and 120 NYC gang members is a drop in the bucket... and most of the 120 will be back on the street for the weekend.

---
Excuse me, but I need to understand why an anti-depressant side effect is making one more suicidal?

---
You know, seeing paid protesters trying to intimidate Trump and his supporters at rallies is like watching an election in a Communist or despotic country making sure the current leader wins unanimously.

---
For every body concerned about Trump's knowledge of foreign policy, Trump knocked it out of the park in his speech yesterday.

---
Trump nailed ZERO-bama and Hillary on their abandonment of Christians in the middle-east. What he didn't mention was how they, and the Democratic Party have pretty much abandoned Christians in America.

---
An Indiana homeowner is being sued by the man he shot who was running away from the homeowner's garage he was burglarizing. The burglar was shot in an alley behind/beside the home so his lawyer is saying that his client was no longer a threat since he was running away. What BS! If the homeowner hadn't shot him, he would have escaped capture and be able to burglarize another homeowner the next night and who knows what the burglar might do to another homeowner who might be a liberal and not have a gun to protect his family.

---
The American Library Association is trying to eliminate "illegal alien" by replacing it with "noncitizen" or "unauthorized immigration" for "searches" in the Library of Congress because..it sounds "less judgemental". Good grief..since when is the truth considered "judgemental"?

---
Last week, a felon during the commission of a felonious grand theft crime, ran into a Columbus teacher/coach/family man and killed him. The felon escaped. Well, it's time the black community stepped up to the plate and identified this felon and turn him in. People know exactly who this felon is, and it would be a show of support for their community and the rest of Columbus to turn him in.

---
L-E headline: "How much do local school districts spend per student? * Chattahoochee County spends most in area, Russell County the least *  At $11,438, Muscogee spends more than state, less than national average Data compiled by NPR" -- Good grief.. the MCSD spends more than $2,200.00 extra per student than the state's share average per student (which means we taxpayers already pay more in MCSD taxes than most of the other counties), and we still have 75% of our schools "failing".. It's not the money ..Local taxpayers are funding the MCSD with 23% more money than the state allots... I think this facts shows that the MCSD/MCSB need to be more transparent with how OUR money is being spent and a forensic audit will show how our taxes can be spent wiser

---
L-E headline/story: "Math scores slip, reading flat for nation’s 12th-graders * It’s not a promising picture for the nation’s high school seniors — they are slipping in math, not making strides in reading and only about one-third are prepared for the academic challenges of entry-level college courses. * Scores released Wednesday from the so-called Nation’s Report Card show one-quarter of 12th-graders taking the test performed proficiently or better in math. Only 37 percent of the students were proficient or above in reading." -- Good grief.. and our MCSD system has a 75% failure against state scores which at=re below national scores! It keeps getting worse! Vote out the incumbents on our MCSB!

---

Well since we've been engaged with one of the principles involved in the Whittlesey Road widening project (though he hasn't responded to the opportunity to inform us of the problems), I've sent 4 "letters to the Editor" - with copies to Council - and none of them have been deemed "fit to print" by the Columbus Ledger.. nor acted on by Council. It seems that one of the three entities (McMath-Turner, Council, or the Ledger) would be interested in letting the rest of us know why the delays are inconveniencing the entire community.

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

As Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hit proclaimed, "Oh, what  night"! Trump tore it up, and Cruz got a new one. Trump went 5-for-5, and Cruz lost to Kasich in 4 of the 5 states. Over twice as many Republican voters turned out as did in 2012, and Trump got over 56% of all of them.. Cruz...less than 20%. Trump alone also got more votes in each of 4 of the states than the total who voted in those states in 2012 (and within 5% of making the other state a "Perfecta")

---
Another comparison shows that even with the 100% increase in Republican voters yesterday versus 2012, Cruz's votes this year would not have won him a single state in 2012.

---
Trump got 15% more votes last night than the total of the Republican primary voters in those same 5 states in 2012..

---
How interesting...on Monday afternoon, Fox reported that there's been a shift in the Indiana polls..Cruz had a small lead going into last weekend, but Fox notated that it seems polls on Monday indicated Trump has taken a small lead...Americans do not like collusion!

---
In the Democrat primaries.. the total turnout was nearly 25% fewer than 2008.. In Pennsylvania, the Democrat primary vote took a 35% hit in turnout, and Hillary took a 39% hit from PA which she won in 2008.

---
Heard one of Bernie's supporter claim that the only consistent thing about Hillary is her inconsistency ....Hmm...wrong! What I deem consistent...even constant, is her lying!

---
From the " "reparations for slavery" advocates.. concentrate on the families of the slave traders..and  here's a good starting point" department - Online story: "A central fact obscured by post-Civil War mythologies is that the northern U.S. states were deeply implicated in slavery and the slave trade right up to the war. * The slave trade in particular was dominated by the northern maritime industry. Rhode Island alone was responsible for half of all U.S. slave voyages. James DeWolf and his family may have been the biggest slave traders  in U.S. history, but there were many others involved. For example, members of the Brown family of Providence, some of whom were prominent in the slave trade, gave substantial gifts to Rhode Island College, which was later renamed Brown University." -- My uber liberal b-in-law went to Brown.. Hope he sees this.

---
Online headline/story: "Ku Klux Klan claims $20K in Clinton donations  * A prominent Ku Klux Klan leader says that the group has raised thousands of dollars for Hillary Clinton's campaign and that the Klan is officially endorsing the Democratic frontrunner for president—a claim the Clinton campaign vigorously denies. *  Will Quigg, a Grand Dragon in a California branch of the KKK, sat down with Vocativ—which was there for a larger reporting trip about the modern state of the hate group—to talk about the 2016 election. According to Quigg, "For the KKK, Clinton is our choice." -- California KKK? What do they wear... "tanned" sheets? Wish I could have been a fly on the wall when news of this got back to Hillary. Of course returning the $20K  will really test her more than refuting the endorsement.

---
From the " be careful what you wish for" department - "Online headline/story: "Poll to rename Robert E. Lee Elementary School gets some truly terrible suggestions * When the Austin Independent School District board voted last month to change the name of local Robert E. Lee Elementary school, they probably didn't expect that the community's suggestions for a new name would be so *  After having voted March 28 to remove the Confederate general's name from the school, the board decided to ask for suggestions from the school community, reported local NBC affiliate KXAN. Currently the leading candidate, with 45 nominations, is "Donald J. Trump Elementary." *  Another popular suggestion? The "Adolf Hitler School for Friendship and Tolerance,"" -- ROFLMAO... what's even more ironic is that the 45% that Trump got is higher than the percent of Texas Republican voters who voted for Cruz in the Texas primary,

---
From the "dose of real reality" department - Online story: "Former McDonald's CEO Ed Rensi, the chain's top dog in the '90s, has come out as the industry's latest $15-wage doomsayer, writing in a column for Forbes yesterday that if activist cities and labor organizers get their way, the consequences will be dire not for McDonald's as a company, but for the 840,000 hapless workers employed by the Golden Arches. "I can assure you that a $15 minimum wage won't spell the end of the brand," he writes. "However it will mean wiping out thousands of entry-level opportunities for people without many other options." -- I'm investing in robotic hamburger assembly companies and electronic self-serve order stations.

---
Online headline: "Report: Monday Night Football announcer Mike Tirico leaving for NBC"  -- I hope in protest of the way ESPN treated Curt Schilling!

---
Online headline: "Apple reports iPhone sales slump, 1st revenue drop since 2003" -- Hmmm.. explains that "off-the-table" drop in after hours trading.. Apple should have cooperated with the FBI rather than have a 3rd party show it could hack Apple's security measures,

---
"The law is reason free from passion. Aristotle."  You know, this one defining statement should have eliminated Ginsburg from the Supreme Court. She cannot separate her passion for abortion from discussion.

---
L-E headline: "Tomlinson presents $270 million city budget to council * City employees would get 2 percent raise * Aquatic Center funded fully at $1.2 million * $2 hike in garbage fee would fund 33 new trucks " -- Let's parse this from the git-go....the employees do deserve a 25 raise.. but I don't know how Mayor TomLYINGson can assure us that the $1.24 Aquatic Center budget will "fully fund" it..it may do so
on paper" but emergency repairs/ongoing maintenance are not "static" and will increase with "age". Oh, and as far as that $2.00 (per month, $24.00 annually) garbage fee.. it will raise about $1,330,000 .00 which sounds like the Mayor is telling us she can buy new garbage trucks for about$40,000.00 each..so I guess her intent is a perpetual garbage fee increase. This will raise the garbage fee total to $192.00 annually for 55,000 residences for a total of $10,600,000.00 in annual garbage fees.. We tax payers get hit doubly with this as property taxes (which should pay for all the garbage pickups) are deductible but "fees" are not. Now, ask her in this $2,00 per month fee is "sunsetted" to end when enough new garbage trucks are acquired.. well .. you probably already know the answer.. lets ask the incumbent candidates which way they are going to vote on it.

---
From above story: " Raising $200,000 by increasing after-school program fees. " -- Talk about an end run.. Mayor TomLYINGson isn't raising revenue, she's redirecting taxes from the school system's pocket into her won.. Of course, the MCSD will want to raise millage  rates for next year to make up for this, so we are getting a tax increase on thawed homes as well.

---
From above story: "Raising $100,000 in projected additional revenue from the center through improved programming and “innovative partnerships with engaged stakeholders" -- Hmmm.. in plain language, she's going to TAX Little League baseball, soccer, and youth football. - I have a suggestion.. Why doesn't Mayor TomLYINGson mandate bicycles to be registered and have a tag? I guess it's because she like to ride her bike in peace.

---
Last .. but not least is the fund balance deficit she has created over 6 years .. It's not down to about 60 days.. it's barely 56 days, and those bond buyers are looking closely at this before "investing" in them.

---
Now the real acid test for Council candidates will be their answer to these 2 questions: 1 - Will you vote against the Mayor if she (or he in the future) asks for Council to revoke the current tax freeze if the protective state amendment is repealed, and 2 - Will you vote/support a rigorous defense if a court case challenges the current tax freeze if the protective state amendment id repealed?

---
Well, a couple of days ago, Mac Turner insisted that the delays/cost overruns on the Whittlesey Road widening projectbe taken off the local discussion boards....I've asked him to explain what is going on so we might be able to be more tolerant..more understanding of the major inconveniences having Whittlesey Road traffic so disrupted. Unfortunately, Turner has not responded.

---
So ISIS has opened up a marriage counseling service...I imagine that it includes a course on "Death will us part".

---
L-E story: "The 2nd Annual YMCA Charity Golf Classic will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Callaway Gardens Golf Club. Tournament features are longest drive, highest score, hole-in-one, 18-hole Captain’s Choice format, complimentary divot repair tool and a putting contest. Cost is $150/person or $600/ team of 4 persons. All proceeds benefit YMCA programs for youth at risk. " -- You know.. why Callaway? Wouldn't playing this event at a local golf course be of more benefit to the Columbus?
---
Winner of the L-E's  "Best Soundoff (that's not one of mine)" of 2016":  " General Motors made automobiles in Flint, Michigan, and you couldn’t drink water in Mexico. President Obama ordered the takeover of General Motors, GM now makes cars in Mexico and you can’t drink water in Flint." -- Grand Slam Walkoff Home Run!
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Fear not those who argue but those who dodge.” — Dale Carnegie, American writer-lecturer (1888-1955)." Dang.. Carnegie nailed both Clintons and ZERO-bama in a single shot!
---
L-E headline/story: " Veteran Superior Court clerk faces challenge from minister *    At 59 years old, (Ann) Hard-man has never sought political office. She lives in Columbus and is the chief executive officer of three ministries based here and in her hometown of Asheville, N.C. *  “I prayed about it and I felt the Lord wanted me to do it,” she said of her qualifying-week decision to seek office. " -- You know.. she must not be listening to close to God's instructions sine her IRS 990 forms shows she more interested in her own financial needs than in distributing to the needy.
---
This will be my absolute last comment on "deflate-gate". In the NFL, all teams use their own footballs on offense.. the referees hold footballs aside that both teams use on kicking plays. Why is the NFL concerned .. at all.. about QBs tweaking their teams footballs to their personal preference. If there was any disadvantage, it would be for the Patriot's center and punter and kick returners who are having to use the referee supplied footballs instead of the Patriot supplied footballs.

L-E headline: "Governments are struggling to enforce ‘living wage’ laws" -- Excuse me, but where in the Constitution is government given this power?

Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Online headline: "Former 2016 rival on 'short list' to be Ted Cruz's VP" -- "short list"? ...it's more like a blank sheet of paper...

---
Online headline: "Pro-ISIS hackers post 'kill' list of State Department employees" -- Hmmm.. looks like Trump just picked up a new group of supporters as the State Department employees already know that Hillary won't send anybody in to protect/save them.

---
From the "maybe the other states should secede from NY as well as CA" department - Online story: "A group of North Carolina middle-school students who were ordered to stop singing the "National Anthem" at the 9/11 Memorial have received an apology from officials there, days after video of the awkward incident at the sacred site went viral. * They stopped at the 9/11 Memorial and decided to sing the "National Anthem" to show pay respect for the dead. *  Before the song was over, two memorial site guards walked over and told the students they had to stop singing." -- Good grief.. what is it with Democrat appointed parks administration that deny patriotism? Similar stoppages have happened at the various War Memorials in Washington when government has been shut down because of wasteful spending. Vote Trump!

---
There are programs in trial that are letting school chidren to be examined, diagnosed, and prescribed via the internet per computers manned by school personnel talking with hospital personnel so parents don't have to check their children out of school, drive to a physician, and then go to a pharmacy and wait for a prescription to be filled while missing work. This is just another government program designed to remove parents from being responsible for their children. Already schools want all the responsibility of transporting, feeding, deciding curriculum, so this is the next step.

---
Debbie 'No Nothing' Schultz..chair of the DNC says the FBI is not investigating Hillary..According to Schultz, the FBI is merely conducting a "Security Assessment". I guess Schultz feels that since everyone expects her to lie, she should just continue to lie. The FBI doesn't conduct "Security Assessment", it conducts "Criminal INVESTIGATIONS"!

---
Trump is right...Cruz says as president he will repeal Obamacare. He can't actually do that..Congress must write a bill doing that (like they have often done with ZERO-bama) , and the president can sign it into law. And the truth is, Cruz may not even get the Senate to pass such a bill.

---
You know, the RNC should be aghast at candidates being openly collusive in derailing another candidate. If the RNC doesn't step in, then the RNC has pretty much neutered itself, and Priebus & Co. can pretty much use the ladies' restrooms without court orders.
---
You know, if I had voted for/supported any other GOP candidate prior to Cruz & Kasich's flagrant plan of collusion, I'd be changing my vote to Trump.

---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “A good scapegoat is nearly as welcome as a solution to the problem.” – Author unknown." -- Good grief.. now we know the inspiration ZERO-bama gives to his messengers.. Gibbs, Carnet, and Earnest... It's Bush's Fault!

---
L-E headline/story: "Ex-staffer challenges Bishop in clerk race  * Bishop said she is ready to return to the office. “I’m on the job,” she said. “I know what needs to be done here. I don’t need to know about the process of documents and customer service. I get very few complaints about that and I have to pat myself on the back and my employees for doing a wonderful job.” *   Bishop said she will keep fighting for resources to operate the office. “I will continue to ask and request to fight for those items we need to make this a good office,” she said. “I will be here to do this.”" -- "I know what needs to be done here"?  One question.. why hasn't she been doing it all along?

---
L-E headline/story: "Mayor to present proposed fiscal 2017 budget to council today *  In the last 10 years, the city has dipped repeatedly into its reserves to balance budgets, dropping the fund from 130 days of reserves to just below 60 days, a level at which the city’s bond rating can be hurt." -- "fund... reserves.. just below 60 days"? Just last week the pre-budget release casually mention the "fund..reserves" were about 60 days.. but no mention they were BELOW as they discussed the distribution of $50 + MILLION in Water Works bonds! Believe me, in the banking industry,, a low fund rating"can be hurt" isn't the whole truth (but who expects that from Mayor TomLYINGson). the bond rating WILL be hurt and Columbus taxpayers will be penalized because of long term higher interest payouts.

---
Remember how I've been reminding us about the delays and busted budget concerning the Whittlesey Road widening project, and how little concern it has been of the L-edger-Enquirer or Council? Well, I must have touched a nerve:
Yesterday, I got this posting on Facebook from one of the construction project principles: Mac Turner: "Hal I want you to do me a favor. If you think YOU know so much about the progress on Whittlesey Road then I invite YOU TO DO SOME HOMEWORK! You know nothing about that job. So stop writing your stupid articles!" -- I responded for all of Columbus: "Mac - Comments like this just peak my interest...and 1000s of other people. How about telling us why the project is a year behind and over a million dollars over budget. Columbus citizens want to know." So far ... no response or updates .

L-E headline/story: "Obama urges Europeans to fight forces of xenophobia, division  *  President Barack Obama on Monday urged the United States’ European allies to reject the isolationist and nationalist impulses that are taking hold on the continent, and pressed Europe to remain open to refugees fleeing war and poverty. * “We have to uphold our values not just when it is easy but when it’s hard,” Obama said." -- First, if he was talking to our European allies, then the chairs were all empty.. but what's his definition of "uphold our values"? So far, I haven't seen him uphold any Christian values!

L-E story: "   NBC is cutting the commercial clutter during “Saturday Night Live.” *  Just two weeks before NBC starts selling ad time for the 2016-17 season, the network announced that the program will have two fewer national commercial breaks starting this season, its 42nd." -- "cutting"? Yeah, right... even the Masters has more commercials than it did in the past..

Online headline/story: "Republicans Cruz, Kasich reach 'stop-Trump' deal *  Cruz's campaign said in a statement he would focus on the Indiana and give Kasich a clearer shot in Oregon and New Mexico, states where the Ohio governor expects to do well. Kasich, in turn, agreed to shift resources west and away from Indiana." -- Good grief.. it was bad enough when such deals were made in a smoke-filled "backroom", but it really STINKS when such deals are put on the "front burner".  The RNC leadership has just pretty much just "fired" itself when Trump wins,, and with voter sentiment as it is, this "deal" will probably put Trump over the top bigger and faster.

---
You know, since Trump knows the "game plan" of Cruz and Kasich, he actually will benefit,, he can focus his efforts on Cruz in Indiana, and Kasich in the West.. And aren't voters in Indiana and the West going to resent that Cruz and Kasich have designated them as "sacrificial pawns"?

---
Trump should be careful about throttling back his message/tone "too much". The RNC/GOP leadership got to Romney after the first debate with ZERO-bama and he lost his appeal to many voters.

---
From the "how stupid does the DNC feel its voters are " department: Yesterday, in a Fox interview led by Chris Wallace, I heard Debbie 'No Nothing' Schultz say that either Hillary or Bernie will continue the 7 straight years of economic boom and private sector job growth under ZERO-bama...HUH? The impact of doubling our National Debt has insured that no Democrat or establishment Republican can RE-value the dollars Americans have in their 401Ks or investment accounts.

---
Online headline/story: "Bernie Sanders blames primary losses on 'sad reality' that 'poor people don't vote' *  "I think we have done, had some success with lower income people. But in America today, the last election in 2014, 80 percent of poor people did not vote," he said. * "If we got a voter turnout of 75 percent, this country would be radically transformed," he added." -- Hey, perpetual Democrat voters... Bernie just called you stupid.. no surprise, though, ALL Democrat politicians feel the same way..Fact is that the 2014 election is what is called "an off year" election because there's no presidential election.

---
Rewriting history.. revisionism.. has got to stop! It's not just about changing facts (but that should be enough reasoning), it's also about not having the ability to measure progress.

---
L-E headline: "Overseas, Obama begins the long goodbye * Obama is proud of his health-care overhaul * The president has just eight months remaining in his second term" -- "just eight months remaining in his second term"? how about 8 intolerably long months!

---
L-E "soundoff": " Coach Pollard was killed by someone running a red light. Which hundreds of people do daily in Columbus. Who will be next to die? Who will be next to kill someone? Will it be you?" -- Coach Pollard was killed by a felon driving a stolen car. Just pray the (_*_) will be charged with murder while during the commitment of another felony. Society cannot bring back Coach Pollard, but we can certainly put away the (_*_)!

---
Also, don't forget that the killing at Peachtree Mall recently wasn't random.. it was a "hit", and the shooter should be automatically given the death sentence and have that carried out within 24 hours after his conviction.

---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “I feel proud to be living in a country where people are not afraid to laugh at themselves and where political satire is tolerated by the government, if not the television network.” — Pat Paulsen, American comedian (born 1927, died this date in 1997). -- Good grief.. Pat Paulsen would not... could not say that if he was alive today.. the ZERObama administration and NBC would have his mouth duct-taped !

---
The "Page 1 Awards" are here.. cannot explain.. at least not rationally why the L-E has repeatedly rejected my family's offer to donate a scholarship for "Good Community Citizenship".

---
In a forum for School Board candidates. one brought up a story about a teacher that "sits with her cellphone".. The first thought about this is disdain, but with the lack of support the school district gives to a teacher who has disruptive/disrespectful students in her class, the teacher may be justified in doing so if she's got 9-1-1 on speed dial.

---
L-E "headLIE": "Golden opportunity: City needs historic baseball park" -- "needs historic baseball park"?  "needs is a little too euphoric... No disrespect for Virginia Causey as her knowledge of the past was entertaining (other than omitting Willie Mays' appearance here) and refreshing as the L-E doesn't see the importance of reminding us of the people and businesses that built this town.  Reviving "Golden Park still won't solve the pitfalls of a crumbling superstructure that still exists after the early 90s' "do-over", but I think $2 Million won't be close to covering all the needs that will insure more generations of a safe venue.  Sadly, Mayor TomLYINGson is the worst enemy of a revitalized Golden Park... had she not spent the fund balance down to a level that we cannot afford to lower anymore, there would be available funding to do this... that's one of the reasons a fund balance is necessary.. to do unique projects that benefit all of Columbus.. not just her friends.

---
L-E guest editorial "headLIE": "The liberal silent majority * BY FROMA HARROP" -- "the liberal silent majority"? Good grief.. another hairball piece from an ill Camel's harrumph..there is nothing "silent" about the majority of liberals, and "liberal majority" is an oxymoron. Liberals only win when they can discourage ordinary American citizens from going to the polls and taking the country back.. unfortunately, the RNC/GOP leadership is content with putting up candidates that don't give hope for hard working Americans... until this year.. Vote Trump!

---
Online story: "Clinton  a consumer product  so user can't afford it, then tax it more as such product sales the first candidate this election season to endorse a soda tax — viewing it as a way to fund programs." -- Hmmm.. typical Communist attitude.. tax a consumer product so consumers cannot afford it, then tax the product more when tax revenues drop  and manufacturers just close up shop and put more people out of work..

---
Oh... after a little investigative work, it appears that the closing lawyer who said that wiring the purchase money ahead of the closing was a law (O.C.G.A. 44-14-13).. was WRONG.. It only applies to a lender, not a buyer. What's worse is that I am paying the closing lawyer so he's suppose to be looking out for MY interests!

---
Online story: "Bill Clinton seems to think he knows why voters are so angry. * While campaigning for Hillary Clinton, the former president speculated as to why voters are so angry during this election cycle. “The reason that there’s so much anxiety, intensity, anger, blame in this election is that 80% of the American people have not gotten a pay raise since the crash eight years ago, after inflation,” Clinton told the crowd." -- Wow.. it sounds like Slick Willie just endorsed Trump! After all, even if the 80% were guaranteed... well, "politically promised"... a raise if Hillary or Bernie wins,  the new tax hikes either would implement would wipe that and more out.

---
Online story: "Airport screeners established a new record last week when they stopped passengers from boarding planes with 73 firearms in carry-on luggage. * The Transportation Security Administration officials said the number was reached in the seven days ending April 21 and the haul surpassed the previous high of 68 set in October." -- You know.. the TSA probably thinks this is a story showing it is doing its job... but what it tells me is that people think they can get guns by the checks at times because  of the percieved TSA inefficiency.

---
I read an article about numerous new "fees" that hotels are adding to your bill that you may not even be aware of until you get your credit card statement. I'm beginning to believe hotels feel like that can copy universities which are adding $1,000.00 plus in MANDATORY fees per semester that drive up the cost of paying for your child's education. We are checking out any fee structures of any hotel we are interested at staying at in the future. I've already written off one Atlanta hotel that charged $34.00  for overnight parking if you used valet parking... but it wasn't openly disclosed until I checked out my bill.. and I'd alreadey been tipping the valet drivers. AirBNB may be the way.

---
Online headline: "Kenya says its plan to burn 105 tons of ivory will protect elephants" -- Good grief.. burning confiscated ivory (elephant tusks) will basically dry up the underground supply and drive up the anxiety for getting more, which will drive up "procurement" costs which will entice poachers/thieves even more to shoot more elephants.. Must be a "Kenya thing".. and we know about political decisions "Kenyans" make..

---
L-E headline: "Windsor Park resident says barbed wire is unappealing" -- Hmmm.. you y=think that's "unappealing".. then drive on Veterans Parkway between Victory Drive and River Road and see how attractive businesses with barbed and razor wire look to prospective residents and busniess leaders as they go into the downtown area.

---
L-E headline: "Marshal’s race adds spotlight to lawsuit issue * Incumbent says the suit is a matter of law, principle * Challenger says it tarnishes Columbus’ image * One used to be sheriff’s deputy, other a police officer, MP" -- I have to support the "new guy", Bernard Spicer...and if he will campaign on closing the office and merging with the CPD, Spicer can win by a landslide.

---
It must be confusing to young super-hero kids.. they see video titles that say."Superman and Friends" or "Batman and friends, but go to movie theaters and see titles of "Batman vs Superman" and Ironman vs Captain America" .. oh for the good old days whenthe super=heroes were united.

I'm wondering.. do some of the players on the LPGA and WLTA demand "Men's Bathroom
plaques on the facilities so they don't have "to go" in the Women's Rooms?

Saturday, April 23, 2016

Here's the last word on transgender bathroom usage: As parent of a daughter who you claim identifies as a "male", wants to go to the bathroom at sports event.. are you going to feel comfortable and supportive by taking/sending your child into the men's room where men line up shoulder to shoulder at a trough urinal to relieve "him"-self? If so, DFCS should take your child away!

Let's hear for Curt Schilling! Schilling for Trump's VP.

---
Online story: "TORONTO, April 22 (Reuters) - A South Sudanese high school student in Canada has been detained and faces possible deportation after he was found to be a 29-year-old man instead of the teenager he claimed to be, authorities said on Friday. * Jonathan Nicola said he was 16 when he came to Canada late last year on a student visa, and his passport showed him to be of that age, said the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board. * But a fingerprint scan conducted "recently" for a U.S. visa application found he once applied for the visa using the birth year of 1986, according to the Canada Border Services Agency." --
Thank God this was in Canada.. if this 6' 10" man had come to America and declared himself as a "transGEN-ERATIONAL", ZERO-bama would have had protected him as the age he "identified" with by Executive Order.

---
From the "mainscream media's 'deny the truth' bias" department - Online headline/story:"British politician under fire for 'racist' Obama slur * In an op-ed, London's mayor Boris Johnson lashed out at Obama for taking a stance on one of the most contentious political issues in the country. *  Citing the possible reasons for the disappearance (of Churchill's bust from the White House), the mayor says: "Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan President's ancestral dislike of the British empire – of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender." -- Good grief.. ZERO-bama's father was from Kenya, and that does make ZERO-bama more accurately a "Kenyan-American" .

---
Online headline/story: "Hillary Clinton Super PAC spends $1 million 'correcting' people online *  A pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC proudly announced that it will spend $1 million to dig into Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and Twitter to start setting people straight about Hillary Clinton. The project is called Barrier Breakers, and the money will fund a task force to "push back against attackers" and support those who support Clinton." -- Hmmm... wouldn't this fall into the category of "Cyber-Bullying"?  It also puts Hillary in the running as the subject matter of a George Orwell sequel, "Big Blather".

---
Online story: "Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe signed an order on Friday restoring the voting rights of more than 200,000 convicted felons who have completed their sentences in a move that could help the Democratic nominee in November's presidential election." -- Good grief.. F.O,B. (Friend of Bill) Governor McC(_*_)uliffe basically has "pardoned" every liberal lobbyist that has served in Washington.. and OF COURSE convicted felons will vote for a Democrat.. the felons support politicians who want to take away the guns of law abiding citizens so the convicted felons will know that their next victims will not be armed.

---
Online headline: "Fastest-growing team sport enters Week 2 of action * After an exciting opening week, PRO Rugby continues its debut season when Sacramento visits San Diego in a hard-hitting battle on Saturday." -- NFL concussion victims may have killed the "Golden Goose". Rugby players don't even wear pads, much less helmets.

---
From the "only in California" department - Online story: "The manspreading menace is sweeping the nation, and threatens to cripple our already crumbling infrastructure, which is why officials in California are taking decisive action to eradicate it. *  Men (or women) with problematically wide stances could face hefty fines after the San Francisco transit board approved a strict “one ticket, one seat” policy." -- "wide stances"? Political correctness for "fat".. This is what happens when  the "beautiful liberal people" admit they are above all others...this will lead to George Clooney charging $353,000.00 per seat versus per couple to gaze at Hillary.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Weekend Roundup: Why the World Is Not Falling Apart as Much as You May Think" -- Hmmm this ought to get an op-ed piece from George Clooney, himself... maybe even Algore!

---
All the students in colleges who's parents are paying the tuition/bills should have to sign over their voting right to said parents. that way people like Bernie and Hillary could never get elected.

---
We've rewriting our calendar.. now it will read: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Homeday.  My Sophia just awoke and came to me and asked me if I knew what day it was.. Silly me said, "Saturday".. she said, "No, it's Homeday". Homeday is the day she has no school or church destination, and she gets to "Stay Home" and climb in bed with her "CC" and snuggle while watching TV.

---
L-E headline: "Over the last decade, city’s budget has risen 37 percent" -- You know, it should be a crime for our  Mayors  to plan using our fund balance in their budget requests. Those funds were accumulated by previous RESPONSIBLE mayors. Those funds should be used only when some unique (and with no ongoing-operational costs) opportunity arises or when an infrastructure emergency arises.

---
In the upcoming Superior Court Judgeship race, we have an accomplished member of the legal community, Ron Mullins, running for re-election following his appointment in 2013. He;s running against Alonza Whitaker, an assistant  DA. Whitaker is a fine person, no doubt, but the DA's Officeoverall record of prosecuting felony crimes in Superior Court has been found lacking. Judge Mullins is the way to vote and hopefully the DA's office will improve with Mullin's post trial guidance.

L-E story: " A sewer line that was being worked on under Warm Springs Road at 17th Avenue collapsed Thursday night, requiring contractors to block traffic and dig down to repair the sewer line, Columbus Water Works Vice President Vic Burch-field said. * Contractors were performing what is called “trenchless” sewer line replacement when the collapse occurred. *  During “trenchless” sewer replacements, a soft liner is inserted into a section of sewer pipe and then inflated, Burchfield explained. Then the liner cures into a hard liner, creating a “pipe within a pipe,” Burchfield said" -- "trenchless"? How about a failed "band-aid fix" ! Now we have the expense of a failed "cost saver" on top of the cost of fixing it correctedly.. this is what happens when a liberal mayor is involved in such decisions..

---
Wow.. did you see the military Humvees dropping form the sky video? http://www.startribune.com/video-of-army-airborne-drop-shows-humvees-falling-from-sky/376730991/ Seems the miltary was more concerned with who caught this on video.. It obviously wasn't a one-time sabotage situation as Humvees dropped from different cargo planes broke off their rigging in mid-descent. Wonder if this has to do with an ZERO-bama Executive Order .. you know.. thinking the Humvees were identifing themselves a "she" vehicles, and underreporting their weight so an improper formula was used to calculate the strength needed for a secure drop?

---
In today's L-E, there's an offering for a loft at the Eagle and Phenix Mill.. unit 501 specifically carries a current assessment of about $489,000 and being "offered at" $649,900.00. It currently pays property taxes of $207.00 because of it's "historical" exemption.. Now, this is a situation that Mayor TomLYINGson should have been asking the GA Legislature to be removing protection on, not our residential housing. This

"home" should be paying about $8000.00 at the current price instead of $207.00.

This is a picture of the Apollo 11 landing module going down to the moon in July of 1969. It is the first picture that shows every living person on Earth and those about to land on the moon... except one.. Michael Collins.  the guy remaining in Apollo 11 taking the picture..I have an actual copy of this picture.. My sister worked at MIT-NASA on te Apollo Project and was given one and she gave it to Dad, and I got it after his death.

Online story: "CHICAGO (Reuters) -- The mayor of Chicago and the city's police chief said Thursday nearly a third of the recommendations outlined by a panel last week will be implemented immediately to reform a police force under fire for racial bias and the use of excessive force. * "As a city, we cannot rest until we fully address the systemic issues facing the Chicago Police Department," " -- "we cannot rest until we fully address the systemic issues facing the Chicago Police Department"? Good grief..with the numbers soaring over last years pace of people shot and killed, pulling the teeth of the police is going to help? Well, I guess a lot of policemen will REST better as they will pretty have to  be hanging around their headquarters until the gun smoke dust settles.

---
From the "look what I ran across" department: The first woman to run for president of the US was a Victoria Woodhull back in 1872, as the nominee for the Equal Rights Party.. Of course there was a lot  of opposition but it wasn't necessary.. Woodhull was only 34 and our Constitution requires a president to be a minimum of 35 year's old..and we know no woman (other than using a fake ID to get into a night club) would lie upward about her age.

---
Prince is dead at 57. Looks like it's drug related. When will "they" learn.

---
No wonder the housingmarket is struggling here, and it has nothing to do with the tax freeze. I am in the midst of buying a condo here, and wanted to write a check. Guess what..I was just told not only was that against the law, but I have to wire the money and the transaction has to go through Homeland Security to see if I'm part of a known terrorist organization. Vote for Trump and as often as you can!

---
Another property transaction I wanted to make was basically changing my mortgage carrier from one investment banking house to the one who now owns the brokerage house I've used for over 25 years. You'd think with a 13 year in house record of mortgage account, the process would be a seamless signature transaction, but I learned it would take upwards of 45 days of jumping through hoops. At my age, I don't jump through hoops.

---
Had the opportunity to hear one of the Republican candidates vying for Congressman Westmoreland's seat being vacated. The list looks pretty good but Mike Crane deserves your attention and vote. This is a driven man with a calling who we will be proud of representing us. Remember... Mike Crane for District 3.

---
Today, I saw one of the worst abuses of our tax dollars happen at Sam's. Two women, probably a mother & daughter were checking out. Box after box of individually packed chips, cookies, candy bars, crackers, probaby 15 or 16 boxes, were scanned in and stacked in their cart. probably $200/$250 bucks worth..then out came the green EBT card. There wasn't a protein or dairy or fruit item in purchase. In fact, it looked like they were buying inventory to stock a concessions stand. Surely EBT purchases are monitored for such obvious abuses like this..bet the GA Department of Revenue hasn't seen a record of any sales taxes being reported or paid from the card owner.... and Sam's should have some responsibility in stopping purchase abuses like this.

---
Tell you what, if I see a male go into a bathroom following the women/girls of my family, I'm going in too, and the pervert male will come out equipped like a woman.

---
Online headline: "High court expresses doubts about drunk driving laws" -- Good grief.. guess the Supreme Court is so surrounded and numbed by "power/spending/taxing" drunken Congresspersons that it cannot distinguish the difference.

---
L-E story: "A judge has rejected appeals from two Muscogee sheriff candidates disqualified after they missed a deadline to submit fingerprints for a criminal background check. *  “I have reviewed the Court file and considered the argument made by you on Tuesday,” Judge J. Richard Porter III of Cairo wrote in an email to the attorneys involved. “I have determined that the decision of the Board of Elections should be affirmed.” -- Let's keep this judge.. he didn't try to change earlier decisions. Now, I hope the Sheriff sends out collectors to get reimbursed what these appeals cost us taxpayers.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It is sad that with all the qualified people out there who could be president, we need to choose between Crooked Clinton and Tacky Trump." -- Then it's a no-brainer.. Vote Trump.. no where in the 10 Commandments does it say, "Thou Shall Not Be Tacky".. I heard Dr G. Othell Hand say this one time when the fashion police were grumbling 50 years ago.

---
L-E Letter: " Thank you community for supporting the Homeless Resource Network’s efforts to connect people experiencing homelessness with the information and services needed to end their homelessness. The Homeless Resource Network served over 1,000 unique people experiencing homelessness in our community during the last year." -- "over 1000 unique people"? Wait a minute,, I thought Mayor TomLYINGson reported our "homeless" count was down to 150?

---

Wait a minute.. there was an attempted "home invasion" yesterday morning in the neighborhood close to mine..shots were fired... there's no mention in the crime  reports in the L-E.. Selective journalism? No.. inept censoring!

Online headline/story: "ISIS executes 250 women for refusing to do 1 thing * A Kurdish official revealed the terrorist group has been murdering women in Mosul who do not comply with a horrific situation they try to force them into. * An official for the Kurdistan Democratic Party told Iranian news agency ABNA ISIS has been forcing women into arranged marriages with ISIS fighters — and executing women who refuse.
The official said "at least 250 girls have so far been executed ... and sometimes the families of the girls were also executed." -- And ZERO-bama calls these people "peaceful" rather than what they are.. Islamic terrorists. What's worse is Hillary wants to continue the legacy of ZERO-bmam and Bernie is further to the left!

---
From the "liberals.. including 4 of our US Supreme Court Justices are celebrating" department - Online headline/story: "Mass murderer wins shocking victory in court * The man who killed 77 people in one of the deadliest attacks in Norway's history was given the country's maximum sentence of 21 years in prison, but sued the state, claiming his prison conditions were 'inhumane.' *  "The (_*_)" has been held in a prison The New York Times describes as "luxurious by American incarceration standards." Though he spends nearly all hours alone, he has access to three rooms, can watch TV, play video games and has access to health care and fresh air. *  Despite his "luxurious" prison dwellings, "the (_*_)"  sued the state claiming he was being treated inhumanely. His lawyers argued long-term isolation was a risk to his mental health. On Wednesday, a court agreed. * a state lawyer said, "The government was surprised by the verdict but had not decided whether to appeal." It has four weeks to appeal the ruling before the new court-order goes into effect." -- "risk to his mental health"? "government...had not decided whether to appeal"? Good grief.. the (_*_) is/was insane before he went to jail! This (_*_) is the "poster child" for bringing back the death sentence.. NOW!

---
Another from the "liberals.. including 4 of our US Supreme Court Justices are celebrating" department - Online headline/story: "Curt Schilling fired by ESPN after latest controversial foray into social media *  Former Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling has been fired by ESPN from his role as baseball analyst after his latest controversial foray into social media, the company announced on Wednesday. * Here is a screencap of the post which has been deleted, via Outsports. Schilling included the following comment:
"A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don't care what they are, who they sleep with, men's room was designed for the penis, women's not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic." -- Good grief.. I  only hope Curt Schilling sues "the balls" off ESPN for violating his 1st Amendment rights!

---
From the " the fat lady has already sung" department - "Online story: "Ted Cruz had a rough night in the New York primary on Tuesday as Republican voters decided he's their last choice among the three remaining GOP candidates. And in one district, Cruz didn't even place that high. * Despite the withdrawal of the retired neurosurgeon from the race back in early March, residents of Westchester prefer Ben Carson to the Texas Senator regardless of who is technically running." -- Yes.. New York turned Cruz into a "tenor"..

---
Online story: "On the day before New York's primary, Hillary Clinton was photographed in a royal blue pantsuit, wearing it to a rally and while eating ice cream (and booing someone who asked her how many calories were in it). Overall, it was predictable, given that she is nearly synonymous with the color-coordinated pantsuit. * But then Tuesday struck, and Clinton's technicolor dreamcoat was born." --

"dreamcoat"? It reminds me of a jacket lining or material suited for a horse blanket... oooooooh.. How about  it was a "nightMARE"!

_________________________________________________

Online headline: "Saudi snub? Royal family skips Obama's arrival" -- Castro snubbed him... the Queen of England snubbed him, and now the  King of Saudi Arabia... looks like Trump's first duty in January will be to take "an apology tour" to apologize to the world for ZERO-bama... oh.. and let the world know.. things will be back to normal. AMERICA is BACK!

---
Online headline: "US Treasury: Tubman to replace Jackson on $20 bill * Treasury Secretary Jack Lew announced Wednesday that anti-slavery crusader Harriet Tubman will be the new face on the $20, replacing the former president." -- Good grief.. ZERO-bama has actually spent way too much time and energy devaluing the $20 Dollar bill, and now he wants to "deface" it... literally..

---
Hmmm.. can't wait to hear what Cait has to say on this.. wonder if "she-it" will consider having to put a wad of Tubmans in "her" pocket will be a political affront to "her" femininity? ?

---
With a "heads ups and thanks" for a fellow BCer:  It's been awhile, but here's the U.S. National Debt Clock "link".. note the differences in "Debt per person" and Debt per taxPAYER".

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

---
A bit of trivia for politicos to ponder..even though Hillary has been an elected NY Senator, and Trump has never been a candidate before, Trump got a higher percentage of Republican voters than Hillary did of Democrat voters. On top of that, the DNC was helping Hillary, while the RNC has done its best to derail Trump.

---
There's no valid reason for Kasich to be still active in the Republican primaries. Even though he's still on ballots, and Rubio, who still has more delegates than Kasich, has ceased his campaign.

---
Another month has passed and we still don't have the Whittlesey Road "widening project" complete.. In fact, we don't even have a legitimate goal for it's completion.. what we do know is that it's more than a year behind schedule and more than $1 Million over budget (and I'm sure .. climbing..., and that Mayor TomLYINGson doesn't seem interested in letting us know why.

---
You know... when you get down to it, there's only one thing that government can do to help people be personally responsible for themselves... incarcerate or execute criminals.

---
You know... when you get down to it, there's only one thing that government can do to help/make people be personally responsible for themselves and their actions... incarcerate or execute criminals.

---
I've noticed something.. Hillary seems to avoid been seen too publicly with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharlatan... hmmm.. or is it the other way around?

---
L-E headline/story: "Police: Peachtree Mall homicide was gang-related * Xz(_*_)v(_*_)ien J**** was seeking revenge for the death of a fellow Crip gang member when he fatally shot Anthony Meredith on March 26 at Peachtree Mall, according to testimony Wednesday morning in Columbus Recorder’s Court.  * J****, 18, of Columbus pleaded not guilty to one count each of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was ordered held in the Muscogee County Jail without bond on the murder charge but given a $25,000 bond on the other charge." -- Of course it was gang related.. drug related, too, I can imagine.. Now, since it was basically a "hit", why hasn't he been charged with an assassination!
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: " In 1649, the Maryland Toleration Act, providing for freedom of worship for all Christians, was passed by the Maryland assembly." -- Hmmm.. one of the first..if not "the first" Religious Freedom Acts was passed in Maryland.. why aren't the LGBTQs going after Bleep Veep Biden's resignation!
---
From the "bet you won't get a liberal to hang this adage on his/her wall" department - The L-E's " Thought for Today: “I try to avoid looking forward or backward, and try to keep looking upward.” — Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855)." --
---
It's refreshing we have a candidate for the MCSB's District 7 race who actually is involved with children's disabilities versus two ex-board members who can be attached to ongoing school system failure. Shelia Williams is the choice.
---
On another note..the L-E listed the campaign manager & treasurer of  one of the "has-been" candidates in District 7, Cathy Williams, but somehow it "failed" to mention that she's also the wife of  L-E writer Chuck Williams.. well.. it coulda been an oversight ..or inadvertent omission..but I kinda doubt it ..
---

Oh! in the L-E "story" about the 3 District candidates, Cathy Williams is quoted saying: " Labeling schools as “perpetually failing,” she said, is unfair." -- No, Cathy.. sitting on the board and letting theses schools BECOME "perpetual failures" was unfair!

New York .... 60% for Trump... but that's not the only "blowout"....close to 5 times as many New York Republican voters turned out to vote than in 2012. And in the Democratic , about 10% fewer Democrats showed up than in 2008... and get this.. Hillary got fewer votes than in 2008...and Bernie got MORE votes than ZERO-bama!

Footnote: Kasich had almost twice as many votes as Cruz, and Cruz was shut out.

---
What a difference in the Republican process when people actually get to vote rather than leaving the delegate selection to the GOP establishment.

---
Trump did something neither Cruz nor Kasich did. Trump got 60% of his home state Republican voters to vote for him, and neither Cruz nor Kasich could get even 50% of their home state Republican voters to vote for them.

---

That Clooney fundraiser for Hillary et al...admission was up to $353,000.00 dollars a head. Obscene! What's even more objectionable is that the attendees paid that much to stay on Clooney's invite list, not Hillary's.
---
Can you believe te assertions of Congressman Charlie Rangel, D-NY, saying the KKK was Republican creation? Good grief , how can this man be serving this country in Congress..he ought to be serving this country in a jail cell. Besides he's a member of the most racist organization in this country.. the Black Congressional Caucus.
---
Have you seen that hideous "pledge of allegiance" parody ad for KFC? I'll make a pledge..I pledge to drive by every KFC without turning in.
---
If immigrants come in illegally, how can they be seen as being here to make a better life for their families? Let's face it, no one looking over their shoulder can live openly and better than another who's gone through the proper process.
---
Online headline: "Kanye West Claims He’s Tougher Than A US Soldier" -- Hmmmm... I'd say that's a challenge.. Hey, any of the Rangers who just finished the "Best Ranger" competition want to add an opportunity to prove to Kanye "that he isn't" to next year's prize choice?
---
Have you noticed that "rugby" is carving out a place for itself in the national sports scene? The timing is incredible.. the NFL players are suing for concussion compensation, while rugby players don't even wear pads or helmets. Think I'll invest in a start up professional rugby team.
---
You know, if prospective school board candidates want to get to the gist of problems between the excellent and failing schools, work out a plan to swap teachers around for a 4 year period. Improvements at failing schools or drops at excellent schools may clarify the picture.

L-E story: "These days, many lawmakers and social service agencies seem to recognize that fact, and they’re taking steps to help ex-offenders meet their basic needs. * One example is legislation currently being considered in the Georgia Assembly. It would remove the state’s lifetime ban on felony drug offenders getting food stamps once released. The legislation was recommended by Gov. Nathan Deal’s Council on Criminal Justice Reform, and would address a provision enacted by Congress in 1996 as part of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act. * States can opt out of the ban, or enact a less severe version. But Georgia remains one of only three states that have maintained the punitive prohibition, causing the state to miss out on about $10.4 million a year in federal benefits." -- "causing the state to miss out on about $10.4 million a year in federal benefits"? Good grief, while society should monitor and assist those who have "paid for their crime", it shouldn't come from the federal government..all that $10.4 million represents is more taxes on those who choose to abide by the laws.

Complete L-E article: "
Male group rolls out plan to curb area violence
BY ALVA JAMES-JOHNSON ajjohnson@ledger-enquirer.com
The leader of an organization trying to steer young black men away from a life of crime rolled out an eight-step plan April 7 for curbing violence in the Columbus and Phenix City areas.
Minister Antonio Carter of the National Joshua Generation unveiled the plan during a news conference at the City Services Center. He said the group has already implemented the first step in the plan, which is to establish a conflict resolution hotline that young people can call to diffuse a violent situation developing between individuals. He said the organization has someone on board who specializes in conflict resolution and encouraged people to call 706-413-2488.
The plan also calls for the National Joshua Generation to:
A Launch a “Restore the Village” initiative, where black men will go to troubled areas of Columbus and Phenix City on the first and third Friday of each month (beginning this Friday) to develop relationships with young people living in troubled areas.
A Establish direct lines of communication with neighborhood “chiefs” who carry significant weight with rival groups.
A Meet with Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and Columbus Council to request a comprehensive review of the overall effectiveness of the city’s crime prevention program.
A Meet with program directors at area radio stations to ask them to balance gangster rap with public service announcements, stating that the music is for entertainment purposes only and should not be emulated.
A Develop community hubs at local barbershops and beauty salons so young men and women can dialogue and gain access to various resources.
A Launch a summer job program where youths can earn money selling copies of black newspapers published by the group, the Nation of Islam and other organizations.
A Request that owners of liquor stores and other businesses reinvest in the black neighborhoods that support them."

I've copied the entire content of this article to parse it: 1 - The best aspect of this plan is going into the neighborhoods and confronting issues with the people and gang leaders.. The rest are somewhat shaky as to whether they will contribute to changes needed. Any talks with Mayor TomLYINGson will be about funding from the crime prevention funds.. I'm not opposed to this, but like every other organization.. proper review of its 501 (c) status and an annual submission of its IRS Form 990 be required; and how does distributing black only publications necessarily promote diversity in a positive manner. Also, wouldn't taking the Bible into the neighborhoods be a lot better than the Islamic Quran.. one advocates love of one's fellow man, and the other demands the eradication of those who disagree with its teachings. And moe investments by liquor stores.. gimmee a break!

Online story: "The Daily Californian reports that two weeks ago, a University of California, Berkeley senior was removed from a Southwest Airlines plane after he was heard speaking Arabic before his flight from Los Angeles to Oakland. Khairuldeen Makhzoomi, a 26-year-old Iraqi refugee, was removed from the April 6 flight, detained, and later interrogated by the FBI. Apparently, the plane's flight crew had decided to investigate "potentially threatening comments" made by Makhzoomi while he was on the aircraft, as overheard by another passenger." -- "an Iraqi refugee"?  Aren't we "friendly" with Iraq... and wouldn't an Iraqi refugee be our enemy?

I mentioned an interview the L-E had with sitting School Board member Pat Hugley Green yesterday. I mentioned she was on both the finance and audit committees ...one of the readers noted that her company would never put one person on both of those committees as it's definite conflict of interests. This alone demands there be a forensic audit before the May 24th Election date.

SiriusXM... whatta s***hole operation.... Bought my wife a new car that had a 3 month "trial period".. 2 weeks before the end of it, I went online to sign up for an annual subscription.. that was cut off by SiriusXM because, in their system, my e-mail address was determined to be "Invalid". This is the same e-mail address I've had for 23 years with AOL.. If you're on my Breakfast Club e-mail list, it's the one you are getting this from. Called in on April 1st and spoke with 3 different reps who said there was no way they could change it, but even though I was PO'd at SiriusXM's ineptitude, I signed up via the phone...  gave'm my card number et al.. Well this weekend, my bride got nothing but some "SiriusXM Preview" station.. it wouldn't allow her to change to any of her presets. I called SiriusXM this Monday AM. The first person said I didn't have an account... the supervisor said I didn't have an account and the previous rep (April 1st) had not opened one. After 3-4 minutes, I bit my tongue, and said let us re-sign up, so I was switched to SiriusXM's "Customer Care" line.. Got the "welcome-your call is valuable- wait for the next representative" message.. after about 30 seconds.. SiriusXM's "Customer Care" line HUNG UP!.  Hope nobody else has this experience.

You know...one idea that may improve the local public school system would be the elimination of the School Board, and election of the Superintendent. A bi-annual "yes/no" referendum during the General Election voting with a raise if the Super "wins", and a new election scheduled if he/she loses might be just what the students and teachers need.

---
L-E headline: "Suspect in fatal Peachtree Mall shooting turns himself in" -- and he'll probably plead "not guilty", has a witness that says he wasn't the shooter, and walk out of court as a hero to other street thugs. Has anybody heard whether the DA has arrested the last "witness" who "changed" his testimony which freed the last tried shooting case?

---
"Gets it" L-E "soundoff": " Doctors in Columbus: please start making some criteria for these handicapped tags. The patient needs to be immobile or handicapped in some way. This is getting out of hand." -- You know, along with a highly visible, required back and front window decals so traffic will also know, and.. and require such marked vehicles to park ONLY in HDCP spots in business or government parking areas. Think about this... how many times have you driven around a parking lot seeing open HDCP spots and cars with HDCP tags/hangers parked in a spot you could use?

---
L-E headline: "District 3 School Board candidates debate progress * Athavia “A.J.” Senior claims four years of achievement" -- "achievement"? Her list of "achievements" would look like an analysis of Hillary's "achievements" as Secretary of State.. non-existent.. Now, if she could pull out a long list of votes when she sided with Myers and Thomas, she might could make such a claim.

---
You know.. when you think about someone claiming "achievemnets", you must categorize "achievements
as things that one has initiated or done or suggested  on his/her own skill set.... not just voting with the lemmings.

---
L-E headline: "U.S. to send 200 troops, Apache helicopters to Iraq * First major increase in forces in nearly a year during the fight against Islamic State  * Decision should allow Iraqi forces as they move to retake city of Mosul *  Most troops would be Army special forces, others would include trainers, security forces and maintence teams" -- "200 troops".."major increase in forces"? Good grief.. what this really says is that if ZERO-bama had kept the 10,000 troops in Iraq his generals wanted, ISIS may never have taken hold. Now we will have 200 more of our brave young men (and possibly women) in a place they need to have sets of eyes in the back of their heads as well.
---
There are a few "Letters To The Editor" writers in the L-E that waste more trees than provide any positive gain for mankind.. one Robert John White of Georgetown is one of "these". Today something caught my eye so I read his MISSive. He writes: "Studies irrefutably show that Trump supporters are the lowest-educated of all constituencies and are highly susceptible to conspiracy theories and moronic analyses of complex national issues that have shaken this nation to undeniable despair for the masses." Once again this miscreant spouts facts not in evidence, but even if he was correct, the blame for poorly educated voters would have to be placed on the Democrats who have orchestrated the decline in our education system.

---
L-E story: " A federal appeals court has upheld an estimated $1 billion plan by the NFL to settle thousands of concussion lawsuits filed by former players, potentially ending a troubled chapter in league history." -- Good grief.. does anyone else see "tag football" in the future...or heaven forbid, current football teams being replaced by "futbal"!

L-E headline: "Should woman go on $10 bill or $20 bill?" -- Hey, how about a new $19.99 bill just for women to take shopping?

L-E "headLIE": "Colorado pot report: More adults using drug, but not kids" -- Good grief.. the younger crowd just buys it on the street where it's cheaper and not taxed...

This new "Together 2016" organization in Columbus's preliminary campaign bothers me.. it's ambiguity of stated purpose makes one wonder whether it's for the area or for promoting themselves. We can only assume at this point that it has a goal, but it certainly doesn't appear to be promoting anything accept the members themselves. True charity work .. true concern...true philanthropy doesn't boast.. doesn't care who gets the credit.

---
We went to a movie Friday night called "Eye in the Sky".. Overall I'd give it an "OK", but it was still touch of a liberal message movie. Fortunately, the audience gets to see how liberalism hinders effective military decisions that could actually help shorten terrorism.

---
Hillary wants a Trillion in increased taxes to "invest". "Invest"? The only money that can be invested is private sector money derived from after expenses' profits. What's worse is that taxes deplete corporate profits and personal investment gains, so the private sector is stripped of it's ability to reinvest or build on its current successes.

Hillary says she will create an Office of Immigration..the phone menu will probably start with "No Habla Ingles"

---
This Office of Immigration Hillary says she will create...did she say/mean Immigration or Emigration?

L-E story: " Last year, three-fourths of the district’s schools scored below average on the Georgia Milestones Assessment System, the state’s new and more rigorous standardized exams. But the district has increased its graduation rate during the past three years by 11.8 percentage points, from 72.8 to 84.6, while the state’s rate has increased by 7.0 points, from 71.8 to 78.8. * The 2015 graduating class was the first not required to pass the Georgia High School Graduation Tests since the exams were phased out. Patrick Knopf, the district’s director of research, accountability and assessment, acknowledged when the results were released that this waiver could have factored into the significant improvements locally and statewide." --  "The 2015 graduating class was the first not required to pass the Georgia High School Graduation Tests...this waiver could have factored into the significant improvements "? ..Hmmm.. "could have factored"?  COULD have factored? Surely someone has looked into replacing "the Director of Research, Accountability and Assessment"!

---
From above story: " District 4 representative Naomi Buckner, a special-education teacher in Chattahoochee County, wants the board to find a balance between questioning and supporting the administration." -- What's wrong with this picture? A MCSB member who works in another county's school systems  doesn't look like a decent fit with the needs and problems of the MCSD. Is this a recent "phenomena" or is it something the District 4 voters knew? Regardless. Buckner should step down,

---
Also from the same story: "To better understand what’s at stake this election, the Ledger-Enquirer interviewed board members who aren’t running and politically involved residents who closely watch the board. They agreed that Myers, the board’s most controversial representative, personifies the key question: What is the school board’s proper role in public education? * The answers range from staunch support of the administration on one side to watchdog suspicion on the other. And the push-pull difference between blind loyalty and micromanaging is at various points in the middle." -- If the system is working and student progress is evident, then the Board should give support to new ideas.. if not, then the Board needs to demand answers from the "Super". Regardless. the Board's top  priorities (and in no particular order)  are to serve the kids, protect the community assets, and support our teachers. If the Super has other ideas, then the Super needs to be reminded of this. {ersonally, we are blessed that taxpayers were paying attention and supported Thomas and Myers.. I have met all most of the new candidates Myers encouraged to run, and they are all to be applauded for stepping up to the plate to serve our current and next generations.

---
You know, if the MCSD conducted itself in a concerned manner that focused on the community and the students, a School Board shouldn't be necessary..Problems we constantly have now didn't exist so much until we voted for (under the-gun-to-the-head-edict of the state which was mandating such for the following year) an "elected school board". When was the last time we had a Superintendent  who served more than 4 tears? And let's face it, the turnover in Superintendents has caused most of the current problems.. a "Super" comes in. the previous S"Supers" plans which haven't had time to come to fruition are thrown out and the new "Super's" plans are installed, the 3 or 4 years later, a new "Super" comes in and the cycle starts over.

---
One thing not mentioned in the above story is that someone of our high schools cannot get one student qualified for the S.T.A.R. Student Awards. Sadly, it basically only requires that a student make the average score on the S.A.T tests for college admission.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The door swings both ways. If I don’t like you and your mean-spirited attitude toward your customers, I don’t have to buy from your store." -- Amen... and your point? You know, even when the store has a "the customer is always right" policy, the customer isn't always right, Stores actually like it when single issue gripers stop coming in.... and so are the majority of that stores customers who like what the store represents.. I have a personal knowledge of this...

L-E headline/story: "Pope brings 12 refugees to Rome * Pope Francis says his gesture is “a drop of water in the sea” of Europe’s migration crisis. Yet for 12 Syrian refugees ( he three Muslim families, including six children,) , the pope’s decision to fly them back to Italy from Greece is an act of kindness that will resonate for the rest of their lives. * The Roman Catholic charity Sant'Egidio, which is providing the refugees with preliminary assistance, welcomed them at their headquarters in Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood late Saturday. The mothers were given red roses, and they were applauded as they arrived." -- Good grief.. three families.. and you know they were all vetted to the max... were selected. What about bring in 12 strapping young men.. and housing them in the walls of Vatican City instead of in the neighborhoods of Rome.. like I've been saying.. POOP Francis is a better description. I can imagine what 12 refugees would think seeing how the Poop lives versus themselves in Syria.

Now that Spring Fling is over,, how was attendance following the opening weekend's shooting spree?

L-E guest commentary: "The foreign policy of a President Hillary Clinton * BY TRUDY RUBIN * Philadelphia Inquirer * How would President Hillary Clinton conduct foreign policy? After decades of public exposure, including four years as secretary of state, one would think the answer to that question would be obvious. But it isn’t entirely clear. *  it’s because her role as secretary was constrained by the fact that, during her tenure, foreign policy decision-making was closely held by the Obama White House.  *     We do know that Clinton’s instincts were more muscular than her boss." --  "Clinton’s instincts were more muscular than her boss? How could anyone deem this as a fact when my 4-year-old granddaughter is more muscular that ZERO-bama?  In a court room, if the writer spoke this, both the defense and prosecutor would be objecting "on the basis that it assumes a fact not in evidence"

---
Online headline/story: "North Korea lashes out at 1 'absurd' GOP candidate  * North Korea is evidently not too fond of Donald Trump's nuclear strategy for Japan and South Korea. * "The U.S. tells us to give up our nuclear program, is preparing a nuclear attack against us, and on the other hand would tell allies to have nuclear weapons. Isn't this a double standard?" Ri Jong Ryul, deputy-director general of the Institute of International Studies in Pyongyang, said." -- "Isn't this a double standard?"?-- Hmmmm... actually it's a revised OLD STANDARD..something the world has missed since ZERO-bama took office. What's clear is that North Korea shares the same interest as the DNC and RNC.. "stop Trump"...this IS an omen about who should be out next president..

I guess, maybe.. that North Korean officials have figured out that Trump will not re-appoint Hilary. Kerry, or Dennis Rodman as his Secretary of State.... OH!.. and that Trump WILL cross lines drawn in the sand.

---
Online headline: "Obama teaches NBA all-star Stephen Curry how to play basketball" -- Good grief.. and the saddest thing is that ZERO-bama left feeling he actually is responsible for Curry's success.. sorta like he felt he was deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize.

---
There's HuffPOOPOO story about the Top 10 countries with increased military spending in the past year.In reverse order, they are: Paraguay, Poland, Kenya, Uruguay, Philippines, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Iraq, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mali. There are domestic and territorial reasons for Kenya and the Congo, but the rest of the countries increasing their spending just confirms that they don't feel comfortable that their relationships with the US are very stable with ZERO-bama still in office.

---
Mainscream media and Hollywood seem to have waged war on States with Religious Freedom Acts.. pending or already in force... "they" consider it "anti-LGBTQ".. The truth is that such acts just give non-LGBTQ people protection from an overly liberal court system.

---
You know, if ZERO-bama were an actual Christian, he would have already been been doing something to protect the Christians being persecuted by ISIS.
---
Tell you what, you'd think the RNC/GOP leadership would remember how badly Ross Perot's Independent run in 1992 cost them, but should Trump do the same in 2016, the RNC/GOP would irreversibly damage its future as a Party. If Trump runs as an Independent, the GOP candidate would come in third
---
You know, a simple measure of whether one's term as the Mayor of a town is whether there were more unfixed pot holes in the streets when you left than when you came in..accordingly, Mayor TomLYINGson's time in office here is a bust..... so have been a lot of tires...
---
A "gets it" L-E "soundoff": "  I was born a human male; however, I identify as being a Labrador retriever. Thus, I am requesting my right to use trees and fire hydrants when I need to use the restroom." -- Well presented "point", but what if you identify yourself as a female dog.. will you sue the City for discrimination because you can't use the trees and fireplugs?
---
Another "gets it" L-E "soundoff": "   If the city will sell me a 1.75 acre parking lot in the Historic District for $50,000, I will be happy to run a valet parking business there. New jobs, no construction headaches, everyone’s happy." --  You know.. with all the hubbub about the hotel parking lot the Development Authority "sold" for $50,000. when the PEZ-soldout Company deemed it a $500,000.00 piece of property?  Well, now that the courts have agreed with PEZ-soldout, is the Development Authority going to demand that their hotel buy that property for such in order to keep parking cars on it? Until something is worked out, the Development Authority should "rope it off" from current use.
---
L-E story: "   In an interview with the Ledger, Green, an insurance agent, said she has been an effective voice for District 1 (Muscogee County School Board) as a three-term representative. In addition to her role as vice chair, she also serves on the finance and audit committees." -- Vice chair, finance committee, audit committee, and representative of 10 perpetually failing schools.. District 1 voters need to  say, "Strike FOUR".. you're outta here!

At her confirmation hearings, Justice nominee Ruth Bader Ginsburg made this statement: "“It would be wrong for me to say or preview in this legislative chamber how I would cast my vote on questions the Supreme Court may be called upon to decide. A judge sworn to decide impartially can offer no forecasts, no hints, for that would show not only disregard for the specifics of the particular case, it would display disdain for the entire judicial process.”  In addition, she has made the statement she would not retire if her replacement might be someone that would not defend Roe v. Wade. She should be impeached because she has not lived up to her word. Unfortunately, impeachment is not an option.. hmmm.. how about her mental competency?
