First - the weekend update:

From the lips of Bill Clinton: ""I like protesters, but the ones that won't let you answer are afraid of the truth," -- Hmmm "the ones that won't let you answer are afraid of the truth"? Good grief..then the reality is that they have nothing to fear from you or Hillary... for the truth is not in either of you!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Nothing Bill Clinton Said To Defend His Welfare Reform Is True * Everything Bill Clinton said Thursday to defend his 1996 welfare reform law was false. *  The economy went into recession in March 2001, two months after Clinton left office. This was not because George W. Bush had just moved into the White House. It was because Clinton had left the country with a fundamentally unstable economy and a social safety net that had been weakened by his own bill" -- As Redd Foxx was oft to sat, "Here I come Elizabeth, it's the big one".. this is not Trump or Cruz rhetoric.. not even a Super-PAC hit piece.. this is from the HuffPOOPOO... the HuffPOOPOO!

--
HuffPOOPOO "headLIE"/story: -- "Sheldon Adelson And Top GOP Donors Retreat To The Sidelines *  Ambivalence about a Trump-Cruz battle pushes many Republican fundraisers away from the presidential contest." -- Now this is what we normally expect from the HuffPOOPOO.... stupidity...Any big donors of  Republican Party candidates who normally are shelling out aren't doing so because they support Trump, and Trump's not soliciting their money..

This was Masters week..plopped down and got into it by buying some pimento cheese and egg salad. Egg salad is my sandwich of choice, and pimento cheese my back up. Went and picked up some of both to be ready. Of note is that it's cheaper (other than the cost of a ticket) to buy two of these sandwiches at the Masters than an 8 ounce tub of the stuff.

---
Tom Watson...class act... we'll miss but always will have glorious memories. I did notice a change .. today..and probably yesterday.. he was wearing a Callaway hat..I remember him "forever" representing Adams Golf.

---
Confirmation: That WAS a collarless shirt McILroy wore on Friday.. I'm surprised the Masters allowed him back on the course.

---
Springsteen  canceled his Sunday April 10th concert in North Carolins because NC passed a law saying people must use public communal bathrooms based on the gender listed on their birth certificate. First, NC is better off without a Sunday concert, but more importantly, parents of daughters can feel safer that Cait (or for that matter, Bruce Springsteen) is not stalking their daughters in the women's bathrooms.

---
You know.. that purchase of the Chamber's "Train Depot" office for way less than market assessment rankles in two ways.. first. that the Chamber receives Columbus tax dollars, so we were paying the Chamber's property taxes with our own money, but the second reason is really the pits.. Mayor TomLYINGson's husband works at the law firm that bought the "Train Depot" for way below the assessment and will pay less taxes that before.

---
Well.. it wasn't pretty, but Jordan Spieth set a new Masters' record on Saturday.. having the lead at the end of the day for his 7th consecutive round.  I sorta regret that he'll no longer share that record with Arnold Palmer because it would have been a constant reminder for generations to come that "Arnie Was Here".

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The GOP power brokers say Trump's temperament isn't presidential and Cruz is a liar. Sounds like what voters have been offered in the past. Same song, umpteenth verse." -- "Trump's temperament is not presidential"? Good grief.. as compared to what.. ZERO-bamageddon's temperament of racism and class warfare? And don't get me started on Hillary's or Bernie's!

---
Brilliant L-E "soundoff": "   We should give some territory to Bernie and all the leftist radicals, let them create their utopia, run it according to their social/governmental philosophy. And then see how many days it lasts before collapsing." -- Sounds good, but before long they'd be creeping back across the border to get back on our welfare programs .... and blaming Bush.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The Republican Party has created the likes of Josh McKoon. It now comes back to haunt them. Unfortunately the citizens of Columbus are being punished for his irresponsible behavior." -- Good grief..It wasn't McKoon who stripped funding out of the budget, and if some people did it on that basis, that's the group that needs to be ousted.. look towards John PEZ-soldout and Richard S***t*.

---
L-e's " Thought for Today: “Your actions, and your actions alone, determine your worth.” — Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966)." -- Hmmm.. or in Hillary's Benghazi case.. throw in her "inactions" as well.

---
Complete L-E headline/story: "Gunman fires two shots during sandwich shop holdup
— BEN WRIGHT *   A gunman fired two shots at a sandwich shop employee Friday during an armed robbery on Weems Road, Columbus police said. * The employee wasn’t injured during the 9:39 p.m. robbery at 3705 Weems Road. * Armed with a 9 mm pistol and covering his face with a red handkerchief, the gunman entered the business and demanded cash from the register. The robber then fired two shots at the employee without any warning before fleeing from the business. * The gunman was seen running north behind the business. Police found two shell casings from the gunshots. * The robber was described as black. He was wearing a white zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and khaki cargo pants." -- Once again, L-E "journalist",Hasn't Ever Been Wright demonstrates the depth of his inabilities.. I've copied the entire story in hopes you will find the name of the sandwich shop where this occured.

Moving on:

Online headline: "CIA Director John Brennan told NBC News in an exclusive interview that his agency will not engage in harsh "enhanced interrogation" practices, including waterboarding, which critics call torture -- even if ordered to by a future president." -- Hmmm-- guess this anarchist is set to retire... from the government  teat in January...

---
Online headline: "Obama reveals his presidency's No. 1 'worst mistake'" -- Good grief.. how can ZERO-bamageddon even pick #1 when he's stll got 9 months in office to "top" it? Personally, I thought his biggest mistake so far  was not firing Hillary immediately after the dust settled in Benghazi... but then again.. I'm not privy to all the mistakes he had to choose among.

---
You know.. with the threats the liberal politicians have made through IRS regulations about churches being stripped of their tax exemption if the pastors/rabbis/priests politically proselytize from the pulpit, how come it's allowable for Hilary to politically proselytize from any church's pulpit?

---
Online headline: "Hillary reveals potential White House spot for Bill" -- Lawn Jockey?

---
Online headline: "Clinton pokes fun at subway swipe fail" -- I just figured she used her government debit card and it got denied.

---
Online headline: "Sanders: Hillary Clinton 'clearly lacking' in key area" -- and what's new? I think Bill actually told us that.

---
Online j]headline: "Obama vows no influence in Clinton email probe" -- "no influence"?  I think he meant "no support" of the probe.. you know.. I'm still looking for e-mails between ZERO-bama and Hillary.

---
You would think that the 7 on the par 3 12th hole might have been the worst moment of Jordan Spieth's day, but I think having to help putting the Green Jacket on Willett was tougher.

---
Rory McIlroy was wearing that same gray collarless shirt under his sweater at the Masters on Sunday as well.  You.know, if the Masters allows players to wear collarless shirts, advertisers will revolt! Where will they put those logos so the cameras will show them?

---
Laws now restrict landlords from screening convicted criminals. Can you imagine what consternation this will cause for gated/luxury complexes as they ask for more money because of their security programs. I'm curious... if laws prohibit landlords from asking about criminal pasts, how will sex offenders be screened from family residential complexes?

---
L-E headline: "Schools could see dramatic changes in the next 2 years" -- Oooops.. thought the L-E had taken a poll and found that the MCSB incumbents weren't faring well.

---Instant repeat: "Schools could see dramatic changes in the next 2 years" -- All the talk about state take over of individual failing schools and districts would take care of itself if school board members from said districts were booted off and prohibited from ever running/serving again.

---

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   If a man is born with a gold spoon in his mouth, has four butlers, a 747, a penthouse and a mansion in Florida … how can he have a clue what common people need?" -- You know.. I find that when a person is successful in business, it's because he/she is closely in tune with what the public wants and has tapped into that. Whether a hotel mogul, investment whiz, or even a drug lord. it takes a person attuned with the needs of those he serves in order to be successful. OK. writer, what are you successful in?
