Another comparison shows that even with the 100% increase in Republican voters yesterday versus 2012, Cruz's votes this year would not have won him a single state in 2012.
---
Trump got 15% more votes last night than the total of the Republican primary voters in those same 5 states in 2012..
---
How interesting...on Monday afternoon, Fox reported that there's been a shift in the Indiana polls..Cruz had a small lead going into last weekend, but Fox notated that it seems polls on Monday indicated Trump has taken a small lead...Americans do not like collusion!
---
In the Democrat primaries.. the total turnout was nearly 25% fewer than 2008.. In Pennsylvania, the Democrat primary vote took a 35% hit in turnout, and Hillary took a 39% hit from PA which she won in 2008.
---
Heard one of Bernie's supporter claim that the only consistent thing about Hillary is her inconsistency ....Hmm...wrong! What I deem consistent...even constant, is her lying!

From the " "reparations for slavery" advocates.. concentrate on the families of the slave traders..and here's a good starting point" department - Online story: "A central fact obscured by post-Civil War mythologies is that the northern U.S. states were deeply implicated in slavery and the slave trade right up to the war. * The slave trade in particular was dominated by the northern maritime industry. Rhode Island alone was responsible for half of all U.S. slave voyages. James DeWolf and his family may have been the biggest slave traders in U.S. history, but there were many others involved. For example, members of the Brown family of Providence, some of whom were prominent in the slave trade, gave substantial gifts to Rhode Island College, which was later renamed Brown University." -- My uber liberal b-in-law went to Brown.. Hope he sees this.

Online headline/story: "Ku Klux Klan claims $20K in Clinton donations * A prominent Ku Klux Klan leader says that the group has raised thousands of dollars for Hillary Clinton's campaign and that the Klan is officially endorsing the Democratic frontrunner for president—a claim the Clinton campaign vigorously denies. * Will Quigg, a Grand Dragon in a California branch of the KKK, sat down with Vocativ—which was there for a larger reporting trip about the modern state of the hate group—to talk about the 2016 election. According to Quigg, "For the KKK, Clinton is our choice." -- California KKK? What do they wear... "tanned" sheets? Wish I could have been a fly on the wall when news of this got back to Hillary. Of course returning the $20K will really test her more than refuting the endorsement.

From the " be careful what you wish for" department - "Online headline/story: "Poll to rename Robert E. Lee Elementary School gets some truly terrible suggestions * When the Austin Independent School District board voted last month to change the name of local Robert E. Lee Elementary school, they probably didn't expect that the community's suggestions for a new name would be so * After having voted March 28 to remove the Confederate general's name from the school, the board decided to ask for suggestions from the school community, reported local NBC affiliate KXAN. Currently the leading candidate, with 45 nominations, is "Donald J. Trump Elementary." * Another popular suggestion? The "Adolf Hitler School for Friendship and Tolerance,"" -- ROFLMAO... what's even more ironic is that the 45% that Trump got is higher than the percent of Texas Republican voters who voted for Cruz in the Texas primary,

From the "dose of real reality" department - Online story: "Former McDonald's CEO Ed Rensi, the chain's top dog in the '90s, has come out as the industry's latest $15-wage doomsayer, writing in a column for Forbes yesterday that if activist cities and labor organizers get their way, the consequences will be dire not for McDonald's as a company, but for the 840,000 hapless workers employed by the Golden Arches. "I can assure you that a $15 minimum wage won't spell the end of the brand," he writes. "However it will mean wiping out thousands of entry-level opportunities for people without many other options." -- I'm investing in robotic hamburger assembly companies and electronic self-serve order stations.

Online headline: "Report: Monday Night Football announcer Mike Tirico leaving for NBC" -- I hope in protest of the way ESPN treated Curt Schilling!

Online headline: "Apple reports iPhone sales slump, 1st revenue drop since 2003" -- Hmmm.. explains that "off-the-table" drop in after hours trading.. Apple should have cooperated with the FBI rather than have a 3rd party show it could hack Apple's security measures,

"The law is reason free from passion. Aristotle." You know, this one defining statement should have eliminated Ginsburg from the Supreme Court. She cannot separate her passion for abortion from discussion.

L-E headline: "Tomlinson presents $270 million city budget to council * City employees would get 2 percent raise * Aquatic Center funded fully at $1.2 million * $2 hike in garbage fee would fund 33 new trucks " -- Let's parse this from the git-go....the employees do deserve a 25 raise.. but I don't know how Mayor TomLYINGson can assure us that the $1.24 Aquatic Center budget will "fully fund" it..it may do so
on paper" but emergency repairs/ongoing maintenance are not "static" and will increase with "age". Oh, and as far as that $2.00 (per month, $24.00 annually) garbage fee.. it will raise about $1,330,000 .00 which sounds like the Mayor is telling us she can buy new garbage trucks for about$40,000.00 each..so I guess her intent is a perpetual garbage fee increase. This will raise the garbage fee total to $192.00 annually for 55,000 residences for a total of $10,600,000.00 in annual garbage fees.. We tax payers get hit doubly with this as property taxes (which should pay for all the garbage pickups) are deductible but "fees" are not. Now, ask her in this $2,00 per month fee is "sunsetted" to end when enough new garbage trucks are acquired.. well .. you probably already know the answer.. lets ask the incumbent candidates which way they are going to vote on it.
---
From above story: " Raising $200,000 by increasing after-school program fees. " -- Talk about an end run.. Mayor TomLYINGson isn't raising revenue, she's redirecting taxes from the school system's pocket into her won.. Of course, the MCSD will want to raise millage rates for next year to make up for this, so we are getting a tax increase on thawed homes as well.
---
From above story: "Raising $100,000 in projected additional revenue from the center through improved programming and “innovative partnerships with engaged stakeholders" -- Hmmm.. in plain language, she's going to TAX Little League baseball, soccer, and youth football. - I have a suggestion.. Why doesn't Mayor TomLYINGson mandate bicycles to be registered and have a tag? I guess it's because she like to ride her bike in peace.
---
Last .. but not least is the fund balance deficit she has created over 6 years .. It's not down to about 60 days.. it's barely 56 days, and those bond buyers are looking closely at this before "investing" in them.
---
Now the real acid test for Council candidates will be their answer to these 2 questions: 1 - Will you vote against the Mayor if she (or he in the future) asks for Council to revoke the current tax freeze if the protective state amendment is repealed, and 2 - Will you vote/support a rigorous defense if a court case challenges the current tax freeze if the protective state amendment id repealed?

Well, a couple of days ago, Mac Turner insisted that the delays/cost overruns on the Whittlesey Road widening projectbe taken off the local discussion boards....I've asked him to explain what is going on so we might be able to be more tolerant..more understanding of the major inconveniences having Whittlesey Road traffic so disrupted. Unfortunately, Turner has not responded.

L-E story: "The 2nd Annual YMCA Charity Golf Classic will be held at 9 a.m.
Saturday at Callaway Gardens Golf Club. Tournament features are longest drive,
highest score, hole-in-one, 18-hole Captain’s Choice format, complimentary divot
repair tool and a putting contest. Cost is $150/person or $600/ team of 4
persons. All proceeds benefit YMCA programs for youth at risk. " -- You know..
why Callaway? Wouldn't playing this event at a local golf course be of more
benefit to the Columbus?

Winner of the L-E's "Best Soundoff (that's not one of mine)" of 2016": "

L-E headline/story: " Veteran Superior Court clerk faces challenge from
minister * At 59 years old, (Ann) Hard-man has never sought political office.
She lives in Columbus and is the chief executive officer of three ministries
based here and in her hometown of Asheville, N.C. * “I prayed about it and I
felt the Lord wanted me to do it,” she said of her qualifying-week decision to
seek office. " -- You know.. she must not be listening to close to God's
instructions sine her IRS 990 forms shows she more interested in her own
financial needs than in distributing to the needy.

This will be my absolute last comment on "deflate-gate". In the NFL, all
teams use their own footballs on offense.. the referees hold footballs aside
that both teams use on kicking plays. Why is the NFL concerned .. at all.. about
QBs tweaking their teams footballs to their personal preference. If there was
any disadvantage, it would be for the Patriot's center and punter and kick
returners who are having to use the referee supplied footballs instead of the
Patriot supplied footballs.

L-E headline: "Governments are struggling to enforce ‘living wage’ laws" --
Excuse me, but where in the Constitution is government given this power?
