Chicago's "kill zone" is off to another roaring start.. January of 2016 record number for the 21st Century is pale compared to the start of January 2017.. 45 have already been killed through the 24th so there's still a week more to be accounted for. Part,, a BIG part of the problem is the closed-mouth mentality of the affected communities.. 45 have been killed yet only 5 "assailants" have been identified in any capacity.. 40.. that's right 40 of the victims's 'assailants" are listed as "unknown"... and "we" know better .

Rahm Emanuel is as stupid as Obama about gun control...no wonder they liked to work together...Without any legal ownership of guns or being able to legally buy them in Chicago, there is no infrastructure to back up the police. When guns can be legally bought and sold, shop operators offer support as the black market for illegal guns have "competition" in a sense, and the police have more eyes interested in getting street sellers off the street. Oh, and not to mention street thugs not knowing if law abiding citizens may be armed and ready to fight back.

Saw 5 Sheriff's Department vehicles and as many Deputies cordoning off through traffic on River Road from Mobley Rd south. Tons of traffic is being rerouted down Green Island Drive..can't wait to hear how many of her Green Island area supporters get tired of extra traffic, and start calling on her "to do something". Oh.. and who's paying for this.. I mean at least 5 deputies/vehicles are "out-of-service" to the needs of the community which is under siege with crime. Hey, tax dollars all originate from our pockets.. wonder if Mayor Tom-LYING-son would have approved of former Sheriff Darr's budget for paying these assigned deputies?

I think it's time for "Citizens form commission to study replacing the Mayor"!  You know, I actually agree the government center should be razed,, but it's because, the City has been negligent in properly maintaining the building from the gitgo, but this mayor has been the worst of all of them. I also believe Council should shut down any commission suggested by Mayor Tom-LYING-son as her motives are always selfish.. Let this be an issue for the new mayor in 2018.

One of the pitfalls Columbus.. and the next mayor will have to deal with is how bad the City's finances are being left by Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. moving unused payroll monies into the "Fund Balance" to cover the under-60-day deficit is merely a Band-Aid which will come off if an emergency arises. Building a new government center will require a bond issue, and cities' with financial issues like Tom-LYING-son has created put an extra burden on taxpayers.

The MCSD needs to co-ordinate the "School Zone" flashing lights clocks. Yesterday, at 4:28 by my wife's car clock, we came up on the north side flashing lights at River Road School. Just before we got to it, the lights shut off.. My wife had already slowed down, but resumed her speed to 40. When we got to the end of the School Zone, the southern set of flashing lights were still flashing. Had there been a police officer at the southern end. my wife would probably have been pulled over for doing "40 in a 25 MPH School Zone", and she'd have had a tough time fighting the ticket.

Neilsen's said 32,000,000 watched network TV, and CNN reported 16,000,000 per it's viewer rating systems, so it looks like close to, and probably more, 50,000,000 were watching via TV (as were my bride and I via Fox). I mean, not everybody has to actually go out into the street to celebrate.

From the "stacking the deck" department - The L-E listed the "appointees" of the Mayor's study commission today.. there are 23 people named.. 15 of them currently work in the existing building or who are compensated by tax dollars... and 6 of those could be held responsible for the building being in such a neglected state.  Excuse me.. no judge would allow people with such special interests sit on a jury to make a decision.
