They fund arts and humanities programs across the country, including at museums and educational institutions" -- Good grief.. the LEFT just doesn't get it.. really, it's more like the LEFT just doesn't WANT to get it. Trump campaigned and won on making our government more prudent with wasting/spending tax dollars, and that means every area of spending will get scrutiny.. Of course, the only area that alarms the LEFT is cuts to the Arts and Humanities. THis current fiscal year, almost $296,000,000.0 TAX dollars were distributed to such. That's about what Columbus, GA's annual budget is.. but why should taxpayers be funding such "free expressions" (including some pretty vile and disgusting projects that most Americans do not consider "valuable")? You know, surely the Hollywood A-List alone could fund the Arts and Humanities projects themselves, but they'd rather have government spend "other people's money", so the A-Listers can spend their own how they see fit.

Now, Trump has shown how serious he is at watching how tax dollars are spent.. He just returned $1,400,000.00 .. that's 20%, of the tax dollars he was given to make the transition into power.  Hey Libs,, get use to it!

Made an error yesterday.. though not earth-shattering, I do want to correct it.. I reported Justice Thomas was doing so, but the ceremony will be carried out by Chief Justice Roberts using Lincoln's and the Trump's Bibles. Justice Thomas will be swearing in VP Pence using Reagan's Bible. May all my mistakes in the future be so easy to digest. As I write.. just 6 hours remain before America gets back on track!

My dad did not get to take the "Honor Flight" to Washington..He really wanted to do so, but more important family events took precedence when flight dates were announced. A few years ago, his ( mine, too) good friend Billy Morgan got to go. His son, his travel companion, Don, called me to share the good news. I asked if his dad could carry my dad's WWII dog tags with him. He did..I felt like dad would be there with Billy. Today, friends of mine are in Washington to be there when Trump takes his oath of office.. They are wearing hats of mine ..my "warrior" cap, "Trump - Make America Great Again", and my "victory" cap, the red "USA/45/Trump". I will feel like I am there, too.

The Senate confirmation hearings are really discouraging..especially the Democrats...I watch (for as long as I can stand it) waiting for any of the Senators ask a question that's pertinent to the future of America versus asking questions that are only focused on embarrassing the interviewee or Trump, or making statements just to make themselves seem like good guys.

You know, I really would also like for an explanation of how it was decided that only a up/down vote was taken on Pat Hugley Green for MCSB chair when there was a second nomination on the floor. In a private corporation, the president does present a "slate" of officers, but open nominations are taken. If none are proffered, then the "slate" is voted on, but should one or more nominations be made and seconded, all such nominations are on the ballot. Shakespeare's paraphrased quote is appropriate here as well.
