Sadly, some of our local judges stated that it takes $50,000.00 per year to house a single prisoner as the judges campaigned for better funding for alternative courts, which would mean that the Sheriff's Office budget SHOULD be $50,000,000.00 since an average of a 1,000 prisoners are incarcerated daily, but Darr was having to sue the Mayor for underfunding his listed budget needs. Guess the "soundoffer" doesn't realize that the Mayor's budget was for about the $2.75 million (vs Sheriff Office's needs of about $4 Million ( about 8% of what judges think it should be funded for) Now, we will have to stay diligent that the Mayor Tom-LYING-son's "handpicked" replacement doesn't let  budget restrictions put us in legal jeopardy with court and federal mandates.
