Online headline: "N.Korea says considering strike on Guam after Trump warns of 'fire and fury" -- Shoot.. we'll just send Democrat Congressman Hank Johnson, GA-4, to lead the defense.. He feels  he  could probably tip Guam over on it's side to make it a smaller target..

From the "instant follow up" department - Online headline: "US Navy veteran wins dispute with homeowners' association over American flag mailbox" -- YES! Patriotism is NOT a "seasonal holiday"!

---
With the latest Malia Obama spectacle in Chicago, rumor has it that the organizers of Chicago's "Lollapalooza" are going to change the name to "Obama-Loser".

Google did it.. fired the guy who ranted about lack of diversity... therefore Google made Google a little less diverse... liberals are sure good at not doing what they preach others should do...

Online headline: "Revolutionary new ZERO1 football helmet may help NFL players reduce concussions" -- You know, making the helmet "safer" guarantees but one this.. many players will use their heads more as battering rams than currently do.. funny, the best way to change players' habits would be to make the helmets LESS protective.. even take the helmets away altogether..

---
From the "how to sign your own death warrant" department - Online headline: "UCLA Quarterback Josh Rosen: "Raise the SAT requirement at Alabama and see what kind of team they have"" -- For a player to aspire to the NFL, he's going to have to depend on U of Alabama offensive linemen to defend him from U of Alabama defensive linemen no matter what team picks him up..

From the "let the jokes begin" department - Online headline/story: "University of Georgia students can choose their own grades in ‘stress reduction policy’ * This is according to Anthony Gockowski of CampusReform.com, who revealed on Monday that online course syllabi for two fall business courses taught by UGA professor Dr. Richard Watson introduce the “stress reduction policy.” *  If you’re thinking there’s a caveat of some kind, there really isn’t. As it details in the policy, a student can simply send an email to Dr. Watson that includes the grade the student wishes to have. As a result, the instructor will grant that grade and “no explanation is required.” * This applies to not only a single piece of work, but also the overall grade for the course." -- and you don't even have to be a jock to take the course! I think the plug has been pulled on the national value of future UGA Business diplomas...

It's been months.. perhaps longer than a year.. since the Iron Bank at Broadway and 11th St was "spruced up" but the landmark clock on the building has not been returned.. What's the story on this?

L-E story: "Muscogee County Sheriff Donna Tompkins informed Columbus Council Tuesday that she has exceeded her fiscal year 2017 budget by $419,000. * Tompkins said most of the money was spent on bailiffs and reserve deputies used for security at the City Services Center, Government Center and local courts. She said the expense was budgeted at $311,000, when historically it has cost about $700,000.
Hmmm... exposes Mayor Tom-LYING-son's persecution of former Sheriff John Darr as personal... and vindictive... and  disgraceful!

L-E story: "Nearly a month after a charred body was found at Harbison Drive and Head Street, Columbus authorities have identified the victim in the slaying and charged four men in connection with the case.

Michael Fleming, 34, of Columbus was officially identified Monday as the victim who was found inside the trunk of a 2006 Pontiac G6 around 5:37 a.m. July 10, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. DNA from the victim’s parents helped identify the body that was charred beyond recognition and had no facial features or fingers. * No murder warrants have been issued in connection with the death. " --  hmmm.. guess we can look for the old "voluntary manslaughter" plea deal ....

L-E story: "A decision by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia to pull out of all but 85 of the state’s 159 counties in 2018 looks to have a major impact on Columbus-area residents who aren’t on company-sponsored or Medicare coverage plans. * The Atlanta-based health and medical insurer made the announcement Monday that it will neither be offering Affordable Care Act exchange coverage nor market-rate coverage to individuals off the federally subsidized exchange next year in Muscogee, Chattahoochee and Harris counties." -- Hmm.. does anyone have any information on what local tax incentives were given BCBS when it moved from Warm Springs Road to it's present location because it needed more space to hire OObamaCRAP processors?
