Continue your prayers or Texas.. if your church has a relief fund, add to it , and look for a sister church in an afflicted area to aid.

From the "what's wrong with this headline" department - Online headline: "Trump praises storm response as historic disaster unfolds in Houston" -- Hmmm.. as I see it, the headline should read, "Americans. even liberals and mainscream media, praise Trump for leadership in storm response".

---
You know, Democrats are simply anarchists...anti-American...while the rest of the country turns its attention to praying and supporting the people of Texas.. nothing seems to divert the Democrats attention from spreading their hate message.

---
Over the weekend, mainscream media forgot about Russia, forgot about Trump, forgot about General Lee..in fact, mainscream media joined most Americans in concern over the plight of families in Texas..on the other hand, Democrats protested a San Francisco rally that was canceled by the Council. Is there any doubt the DNC cares only for itself? Is there any doubt that the DNC still doesn't know why it lost across the board in 2016.

---
I do not get mainscream media's objection to Trump's pardon of Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio.. Arpaio was denied a jury trial by a judge appointed by Bill Clinton. No jury.. at least not one that wasn't rigged, would have convicted Sheriff Joe for carrying out his sworn duties to uphold state and federal laws.

---
Trump was right to pardon Sheriff Arpaio after a Clinton appointed District Court judge passed judgement herself on the Sheriff, and also denied the Sheriff a jury trial. What Trump should also have done was press for impeachment of that judge

From the "what have you done for me lately" department - Online headline/story: "Malia Obama harassed by photo-seeking grandmother at Harvard University * On Saturday, the freshman made headlines after she snapped at a woman who was determined to get a photo of her outside a Harvard Square eatery in Cambridge, Mass. *  the former first daughter was approached by an eager woman asking for a photograph for her granddaughter. After Obama politely declined, the persistent grandmother stood outside the restaurant waiting for the 19-year-old to leave *  she had a few words for the snap-happy woman: "Are you gonna take it in my face like an animal in a cage?"" --  This is Boston, and the woman was a fan... you can bet she is a Democrat, too (no conservative would have made that much effort to get a picture of a Democrat). Guess the rose is off the bloom in Malia's mind..

From the "somebody got their wires crossed" department - There are two polls out with Los Angeles topping one and in the Top 10 in the other.. Los Angeles is rated the worst polluted city in America in one, and in the other rated as one of the Top 10 "most livable" cities in the other.. I'm not sure we can find a liberal on MSNBC, CNN, or "The View" that can explain.. justify this.

Online story: "For eight years under the Obama administration, the Democrats sat idly by, watching the former president increase this nation’s debt by one trillion dollars every year – a 68 percent increase. * Even worse, Pelosi had the nerve to suggest that “with so much at risk for hard-working families, Republicans need to stop the chaos and sort themselves out in a hurry,” a comment that abdicated any responsibility the Democrats have for dealing with the problem." -- Now this is what honest media should be focusing on....

I'm fuming..Spectrum is running ads calling Dish "deceptive" about, basically, "bait and switch" deals.. Spectrum did this to me 2 months after I switched from WOW. I bought a 3 year, no price change "bundle",  but 2 months after, Spectrum dropped the Golf Channel off the package I started with, then said I could add it back for an additional $12.00. I think I was "bait and switched".

Long, but a "must read" - From the "tell of two states" department - Online story: "California and Texas are virtual twins. The two states that are home to one-in-five Americans are similar demographically and endowed with abundant natural resources. They differ most in their public policies. *  California taxes about 42 percent more than does Texas while also having more generous welfare benefits. *  But, according to a new, more comprehensive U.S. Census poverty measure which considers more factors than the old reckoning of poverty, California has proportionately 45 percent more people living in poverty than does Texas. * Last month, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services released the 2013 caseload data for America’s mainstay federal welfare program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF, along with enrollment numbers for separate state welfare programs. TANF’s stated purpose is to “help needy families achieve self-sufficiency” by “Reduc(ing) the dependency of needy parents by promoting job preparation, work and marriage” The U.S. Department of Agriculture also released information on its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP — formerly known as food stamps — earlier this month. * Considering this updated information along with the strength of job growth presents an interesting picture. * First, to set the economic context, the “Great Recession” started in December 2007 and lasted until June 2009. * From September 2007, the end of the federal fiscal year, to September 2013, America saw a 1 percent decline in nonfarm employment for a net loss of 1.4 million jobs. In the same period, California lost 3 percent of its workforce for a total of 509,000 jobs. But, while the U.S. and California are still in the hole on job growth, Texas experienced a 7 percent increase in its nonfarm employment rolls for a total of 779,000 jobs, more than half the U.S. net jobs gain over six years. * Enrollment in the two the most common welfare programs during this same six year period tell an interesting story too. While the U.S. job base contracted 1 percent, its overall TANF rolls were virtually static, declining by 4,680 people. California and Texas diverged significantly, however, with California’s TANF and state welfare program rolls swelling 18 percent for a total of 203,318 people. Texas’ welfare rolls shrank by 36 percent or 50,996 people during the same period. * More revealing is the fact that, in 2007, before the onset of the recession, California’s 1.2 million recipients of traditional welfare comprised about 28 percent of the nation’s total welfare caseload in a state with 12 percent of the nation’s population. In 2013, California had a full third of America’s welfare cases, 33 percent.
* SNAP use is an entirely different matter. In six years, the number of people in the U.S. enrolled in SNAP skyrocketed 80 percent or 21,167,521 people. By comparison SNAP use in California spiked 103 percent for a total of 2,110,846 people. In Texas, the number of SNAP enrollees was up 67 percent for a total of 1,619,693, considerably below this program’s national rate of increase." -- And you wonder why 4.3 Million more voters in California (alone) preferred Hellary to Trump? Oh, and when libs throw out that Hellary got 2,860,000 more votes overall than Trump.. remind them that taking off California's 4,269,978 anti-Trump votes out, Trump won the majority of the other 49 states' voters by over 1,400,000 more than Hellary.

From the "it must be some sort of Californian version of 'new mat' " department - Online headline story: "5 assaulted at Berkeley protests as black-clad anarchists storm rightwing rally * The group of more than 100 hooded protesters, with shields emblazoned with the words “no hate” and waving a flag identifying themselves as anarchists, busted through police lines, avoiding security checks by officers to take away possible weapons *  Berkeley police chief Andrew Greenwood defended how police handled the protest, saying they made a strategic decision to let the anarchists enter to avoid more violence." -- "Hooded protesters"? The reporter forgot.. MASKED and pepper spray armed.. but the how can the Berkeley Police Chief claim allowing the "anarchists" admittance was to "avoid more violence"? The five rally attendees should not only sue the protesters, but the  Berkeley Chief of Police for "aiding and abetting" a felonious attack!

L-E headline: "Strong leadership needed to face threats, Perdue says: -- Especially after 8 straight years of America floundering like a barge without a rubber under Obama, McConnell, and Pelosi, and McCain. Thank Heaven we now have a proven leader in the Oval Office!

---
L-E headline: "16 Columbus Consolidated Government employees make over $100,000" -- Hmmm.. and you know.. I'm OK with this.. but I'm not OK with them not appearing to "EARN IT". And I'll tell you what.. Columbus citizens would be better off with a Mayor's salary in excess of $100,000.00, too. See what "only" $82,360.00 gets us... Mayor Tom-LYING-son... and we're already seeing  that the low salary is discouraging good candidates to step forward for 2018.

Stupor-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Trump’s growing tribalism is dangerous. In order to accommodate him, his supporters may not be noticing that their moral moorings are beginning to erode, and this tends to make good people do bad things" -- "good people do bad things"?  It's the diminished moral composition brought on by Congressional compromises between the Republicans and the Democratic Party that has eroded the forward path of our nation.. government paid abortions, blanket-like entitlement programs, judicial activism, diminished crime sentencing practices, open borders, and sanctuary cities are solely the outcome of liberalistic Democrats being placated by RINO Republicans. Thank goodness the Moral Majority has been awakened!

---
L-E story: "Indivisible Columbus, GA hosted a rally Monday outside the Jim Blanchard Leadership Forum to call for Georgia’s U.S. Senator David Perdue to hold a town hall meeting to hear their concerns. *  About two dozen people participated in the rally" -- Good grief, less than 25 people show up and the L-E has 3 color photos on the second best page in the newspaper (3A - above the fold). Here's one of them:

From the above story/picture:

I've got to bring full exposure of one of the signs "Why not try to fix the ACA first instead of setting us back to square one?" .. I have two questions myself.. 1 - Why didn't the ALL Democrats and Obama read the ACA FIRST before signing it, and 2 - Why aren't ANY Democrats trying to help fix it now... surely none of them feels the original is working...

---
L-E headline/story: "Statue of Martin Luther King Jr. unveiled in his hometown * The statue paying tribute to King made its public debut Monday on the Georgia Capitol grounds in front of around 800 people including Gov. Nathan Deal" -- Hmm.. what a difference a political party makes.. Republican Governor Deal "unveiled" the statue to the state and world as opposed to Democratic Governor Lester Maddox making unveiled threats to Dr. King back in the 60s.

Can anyone shed light how this ultimately works.. a couple expecting their first child is asked if they want to save the umbilical cord of their soon-to-be-born child.. Fees are discussed (close to $2,000.00 initially and an annual storage fee as well). As this wasn't an option 30/40/50 years ago, it's new to most people, but I have questions.. What will happen to the umbilical cord if the parents reject the offer.. will the hospital dispose of it, or quietly sell it to a third party without the parents bill being reduced.. another question. is if after a few years of storing it in case their infant child needs usage of the stem cells, but the child seems very healthy and probably won't need access, does the storage facility just dispose of it or does it profit by selling the frozen/stored umbilical cord at this time to a third party laboratory?  This procedure is not going away , so let's address it now so all the cards are on the table..

One again, the L-E tries to disguise the growing Foreclose Section by splitting it into two sections.. maybe the L-E and Mayor feel the public cannot add 4 + 5 and get 9 pages of such..
