You know, it's oft said that we really don't want to see how sausage we eat is made...politics, especially local politics is the same way. Thursday, the local NAACP board came out and denounced a move by its president to call Mayor Tom-LYING-son's hand on a Confederate Memorial Monument erected in 1879.. and the L-E did not blindly sympathize with Tonza Thomas.. a breath of fresh air for Columbus' future.

A few days ago I mentioned the number of "hate groups" in California.. well, it's now confirmed that California has the MOST "hate groups" in America.. Obviously that didn't "help" Trump so why would it anywhere else. On the other hand, I did not see a listing for what should be the LARGEST "hate group: in the nation,, the "I hate California District 9 judges and the California Congressional force".

I tell you what. I'm just going to rely on my basic grammar rules I was taught.. if you don't know an object's gender, use "it". "them", "those" or "your".

Contender for the 2nd best L-E "soundoff" for 2017: "If you’re standing too far out in left field, that centerfielder appears to be in right field and the right fielder appears to be too far to the right. It’s time to consider repositioning." -- Perspective is ultra important and this is a great analogy.. Oh,, the hand's down "best" of 2017..is the one from the guy who want 2 Braves, two Falcons, and two UGA football players to be his pall-bearers so they can "let me down one more time".

Uber-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Is the city in so much debt that it can’t pay to have the air conditioner at the public library repaired?" -- -- Good grief.. the city doesn't own the library.. that's the MCSD's issue.. but on the other hand, the real question is, how can the MCSD build several 2,400 sguare ft, metal-buildings-on-slab, wrestling rooms at $750,000.00 EACH yet not fix the Library's A/C?

As I wrote yesterday, "You know the easiest way to immediately identify conservatives from liberals/snowflakes?  Write  or say something satirical.. the conservatives will ponder and laugh at themselves.. while the liberals/snowflakes will want to assassinate you."  Even Michael Moore KNOWS that humor infuriates and activates the hatred of America in his fans, Moore should get arrested as a co-conspirator for damage his fans create.

You know, these "ego ads" run daily in the L-E are getting old.. this looks like a pair of actors used to stylize Snow White's comical guardians... what I'd like to see is Together 2017 run follow up ads filling us with facts about the success of its projects.. The summer has ended.. how about a detailed report on the "Little Libraries" that were erected.. was it a summer reading success or not?
