Online headline: "Chicago sues Trump administration over sanctuary city plan" -- You know, Trump should counter by funding a class-action suit by the citizens of South Chicago to specifically sue Mayor Emanuel for inadequate police protection on the streets.
---
I have a correction to make on something I wrote yesterday... the MCSD paid $1,100.00 for the CPD report on the school bus accident in which the driver died, and a number of kids were injured.. not for the Montravious Thomas debacle.. conversation became ambiguous, and I mixed the facts.. Of course, the same principle applies.. why is one locally funded arm of government charging the other locally funded arm of government for public information?
---
Mainscream media ... I'm not sure whether it's outright stupidity or just intentional, but mainscream media doesn't understand Trump on his "wall" claim.. Mexico WILL pay for it, whether the US pays for the initial construction... or not..Mexico will pay for the "wall" because all the deportees, and the all the criminals that want to get into America will become the wards of Mexico and drain Mexican government resources rather than American.
---
From the "Speaking of walls" department _Online headline/story: "Democratic senator on reelection: 'I don't give a s--t * Over the weekend Democratic Senator Joe Manchin used some blunt words over the weekend to address critics who want him to fully commit to Democratic policy points. * The West Virginia lawmaker told the Charleston Gazette-Mail on Sunday, "I just don't give a s--t." * "Don't care if I get elected, don't care if I get defeated, how about that," Manchin said. "If they think because I'm up for election, that I can be wrangled into voting for s--t that I don't like and can't explain, they're all crazy." -- Hmmm.. what I think we have is that Senator Manchin read the HANDWRITING on "the Wall" after seeing the WV Governor swutch to the Republican Party at the huge rally President Trump held in WV...
---
From the "can you believe this" department - Online story: "A Florida veteran became ensnared after receiving a letter asking him to remove an American flag wrap from his mailbox. * John Ackert is a retired U.S. Navy commander. He said he received the notice from the Southwood Residential Community Association in Tallahassee late last month asking him to remove the wrapping of Old Glory. * "As the holiday season has come to a close, please remove the American flag mailbox wrap. Decorations may be displayed 30 days prior to the associated holiday and must be taken down within 15 days after the holiday," the letter from the local homeowners association read," -- Good grief.. only in Liberal Land can American patriotism be considered "a holiday season"! Let's rally behind our flag!
---
From the "iz that so, Senator?" department -- Online story: "Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal tweeted this out Monday, "Mr. President: Your bullying hasn't worked before and it won't work now. No one is above the law." -- Hmmm.. could fooled me.. now, Senator.. step up to the plate and lead the Democratic Party in prosecuting, Loretta Lynch, Hellary, and Debbie Washerwoman Schultz to begin with..
---
From the "Speaking of feeling he's above the law" department - Online story: " Years ago, (Senator) Blumenthal did misrepresent his military service, repeatedly conflating his time in the Marine Reserves in Washington, D.C., with those who served overseas in Vietnam. * In reality, the senator obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970, according to The New York Times’ 2010 expose that found Blumenthal had sometimes falsely claimed to have served in Vietnam; when he eventually enlisted in 1970, Blumenthal got a spot in the Marine Reserves, engaging in Washington drills and local projects like campground repairs. * He later apologized for misrepresenting his service, saying he regretted saying he’d served "in" Vietnam instead of "during" Vietnam." -- You know, Senator Blumenthal was serving in the Senate when the "Stolen Valor Act" passed in 2103.. there's really only one apology that's fitting.. resignation...
---
Online headline: "ARKANSAS MAN ARRESTED, ACCUSED OF HAVING SEX WITH FAMILY'S PET DONKEY" -- Hmmm.. guess since Trump's program to purge voter lists of dead and moved voters, the Democrats are desperate to add more future voters..
---
Online story: "Loretta Lynch used the alias “Elizabeth Carlisle” for official emails as attorney general, including those related to her infamous tarmac meeting last summer with former President Clinton. * Top federal officials using email aliases is not illegal or new, considering others in the former Obama administration also used them, arguing security concerns and spam to their official email addresses swamping their in-boxes. * Internet sleuths say Elizabeth Carlisle is the birth name of Lynch’s maternal grandmother. * Eric Holder, Lynch’s predecessor, used “Lew Alcindor,” the former name of retired NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. * However, critics of the practice argue that such aliases can result in some requested emails to and from officials going undetected." -- You know.. using a pseudo name for personal versus official capacity e-mails while being a top government official is OK with me, as long as they are kept and available for scrutiny in certain situations, but otherwise, they are subterfuge in nature..and should be explored fully... especially the Pric Holder one's using the name of "Lew Alcindor".. in reality Holder has excoriated Kareem Abdul Jabbar's Muslim identity..

From the "there is a solution for politicians feeling they are above the law: department - Online story: "SAN FRANCISCO – These days, the price of a San Francisco home can easily top a million dollars. But one savvy investor has bought up a whole street in the city's most exclusive neighborhood for a mere $90,000. * Lined with towering palm trees and multimillion dollar mansions, the street has been home, over the years, to famous residents including Sen. Dianne Feinstein and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. * Thanks to a city auction stemming from an unpaid tax bill, Bay Area real estate investor Michael Cheng, and his wife Tina Lam, bought the street and now own the sidewalks, the street itself and other areas of "common ground" in the private development that, the San Francisco Chronicle reported, has been managed by the homeowners association since at least 1905. * It turns out the homeowners association for Presidio Terrace failed to pay a $14-a-year property tax, something that owners of all 181 private streets in San Francisco must do" -- Good grief.. who better than Feinstein and Pelosi should know that ignorance of the law is never an excuse.. or that not knowing/reading what's in a law can ruin you...
---
Think about this..is there anything more shallow than a Democrat talking about bipartisan solutions when none will vote for anything Trump proposes?
---
Lying LIV's L-E "soundoff": "I wish Georgia had United States senators with
backbone like Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and yes, John McCain. Real leaders
who won’t just rubber stamp agendas for party instead of country." -- Good
grief.. this psychological liar would never vote for any of the three if they
ran in Georgia with a "R" d]beside their names.
---
Uber_LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The Commerce Department issued report Friday
demonstrates Obama’s eight years in office produced a steady growth of jobs." --
You know.. there were basically three categories of jobs that grew in Obama's 8
years.. OObamaCRAP explainers, food stamp issuers, and staff attendants for his
wife.
---
L-E story: " The city of Phenix City created a special entertainment
district Aug. 1 where people may openly drink alcoholic beverages within the
district area, as long as they are purchased from approved vendors. * People can
buy drinks from those vendors and then leave — perhaps to stroll along the
Phenix City Riverwalk after a show at the amphitheater — without worrying about
breaking open container laws" -- Two things will come out of this.. more drunks
walking on the Phenix City Riverwalk, and more litter being thrown into the
Chattahoochee.
---
L-E headline: "Report: Columbus apartment rents among cheapest in the U.S."
-- Hmmm.. as any Falcon or Braves fan will lament, "Wait till next year!"
---
One of the things I've noticed is that apartment complexes are pretty much
valued at what they were assessed last year, and most were assessed last year at
what they were years ago.. seems like if Mayor Tom-LYING-son was complaining
about FMV's not being up-to-dater on homes. she shoulda been looking at
apartment complexes first.
---
Curiosity question: "Anyone got figures on how much the Columbus Ice Rink
charges per hour/day/season for commercial ventures.. we know the AquaCenter
doesn't charge enough for users to offset the costs.
