From the "good news/better news/bad news" department - Online headline/story: "Michelle Obama in 2020? A Bill Clinton pollster says 'yes' * A former Bill Clinton pollster believes that the former First Lady is the Democratic party’s best chance for President -- with no other contender even close." -- First.. the good news.. A Clinton pollster says, "Michelle is the one". Then the "better news", the same pollster said "Hellary is the one". Bad news? There is none for America,  Trump's a shoe-in for 2020.

What is Fox's "game plan"? Fox fired O'Reilly (and loses Dennis Miller in the mix), and now has fired Eric Bolling...yet still gives us Juan and Geraldo? Show me anything "fair and balanced" in this.

From the "aha! now we know why" department - Online headline/story: "Senate panel defies Trump, approves funding for UN climate body * The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee passed a spending bill on Thursday evening that includes $10 million to help fund the United Nations' climate change body that oversees the Paris Climate Agreement, despite President Donald Trump's decision to stop funding it. * The 30-member Senate panel, which allocates federal funds to various government agencies and organizations, approved a $51 billion spending bill for the State Department and foreign operations, which included an amendment to continue funding the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change as well as the scientific body the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. *  The amendment passed even though the 2018 budget proposal that Trump, a Republican, introduced earlier this year eliminated support of any mechanism to finance climate change projects in developing countries and organizations." -- Actually, the Senate Appropriations Committee is a 31 member panel, 15 Rep, and 15 Dems with a only-voting-in-ties Rep chairman.. but this so demonstrates why the two parties have abandoned looking past their next re-elections versus envisioning a Great America in the future.. It's why America so solidly supports Trump..
Here's a list of the members, and how they voted:

Against funding the UN Framework Convention on Climate Control as well as the scientific body the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change:

Republicans: Rubio - FL, Kennedy - LA, Daines - MT, Lankford - OK, Capito - WV, Boozeman, Hoeven - ND, Moran - KS, Blunt - MO, Murkowski - AK, Graham - SC, Shelby - AL, McConnell - KY.

Democrat against funding: Manchin - WV

Now the Dems and turncoat RINOs who voted FOR funding " U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change as well as the scientific body the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

Dems - Van Hollen - MD, Schatz - HI. Baldwin - WI, Murphy - CT, Shaheen - NH, Merkley - OR, Coons - DE, Reed - RI, Tester - MY, Udall - NM, Murray - WA, Durbin - IL, Leahy - VT. Feinstein - CA

RINOs - Alexander - TN, Collins - ME.

2018 offers a chance to rid DEMs Tester, Baldwin, Murphy, and Feinstein of their seats, but we must wait until 2020 to have a chance to rid Alexander abd Collins during the Repubican primaries.

There's a list out touting "the most shocking US political scandals of all time"... I believe it came up a "wee bit" short.. while it mentioned a few scandals from as far back as the 1790s, including Reagan's Iran weapon deal, Nixon's Watergate, and Bill Clinton's Lewinski affair, it stopped short of mentioning, Obama-Holder "fast and furious", Hellary and Obama's Benghazi mess, the Hellary's e-mail crap, B Clinton- Lynch airplane meeting, or Weiner's wiener.

From the "white meat only" department: "KFC has a new Colonel Sanders: split-personality Ray Liotta" -- Hmmm.. it seems that KFC likes  "meat"  white versus dark.. at least when KFC is tapping celebrity Colonels..

There definitely should be follow up on the recently revealed voting scandal in New Hampshire in the November elections.. some 5,000 same day registrants have not obtained NH driver's licenses/car plates which they are required to do within 60 days of moving there, and it's now 10 months later..Investigations should include whether they also voted in their previous states using the IDs they used to same-day register in NH.. It's important .. not just because Trump lost by only 2,467 votes, but Kelly Ayotte only lost by 1,017 votes. and Kelly Ayotte's Senate vote would have reversed the loss of the OObamaCRAP repeal.

While it's nice to see Democrats join Republicans in working on the destruction of Hurricane Harvey... now if we can only get Democrats to work with Republicans on repairing the destruction Democrats have caused in our healthcare and education systems.

Looks like Equifax has been hacked, and half of the nations adult population's personal information has been compromised. Does anyone know whether former DNC head John Podesta was given a job at "password protection" at Equifax following his debacle at the DNC?

---
What is it with the establishment Republicans...we Americans voted for Trump to lead America, not just the Republican Party. What we need is for the Republicans and Democrats to work with/for the will of the American citizens!

Synovus may not like what follows when the CB&T name is completely dropped. With Southern drawl, Synovus becomes a 4-syllable word...sorta like "sin-ov●er-us"

I've spoke out about feeling that putting the Phenix City Sheriff's name on the sides of patrol cars was, basically, just wrong ...Yesterday I saw a Columbus Deputy Sheriff's car sporting the name of OUR sheriff on its side. Isn't this illegal? I mean, the sheriff, whether in Columbus or Phenix City is an elected position, and I do believe there are laws on the books that say employees cannot campaign for the sheriff, and, besides, having the current/incumbent sheriff's name on these vehicles can intimidate a challenger from having a fair chance to run.

You know, being deaf does have it's hurdles that don't effect most people, but why do government folks on TV have a sign language specialist flailing away as the politician explain what's going on. My thinking is that deaf people at home probably have their TVs set on "captions", which come on automatically.

143,000,000 IDs have been hacked at Equifax!  You know, that's half the number of adults in America... basically, in other words,  no family is exempt from this hack.. I'm requesting all new cards from all our accounts! I recommend for you to do also..OH! Buy TSYS for the short term.. the replacement transactions should give it an unexpected earnings boost..

Online story: "Paper ballots could be making a comeback in Georgia, with the state planning to test a new voting system this November in a local municipal election. * The pilot program comes as the state under increasing pressure to update its current system, which it has maintained in the face of both technological advances and heightened concerned over systemic flaws that could be exploited if the system was ever breached." -- You know.. Democrats argue that electronic voting at the voting precincts could be compromised, but it seems that most of the fraud detected comes from paper issue.. registrations and absentee balloting. Dems aren't interested in electronic issues, they just miss not being able to physically
"stuff" wrongful paper ballots into voting boxes.

It's a rare moment I agree with the pre-event closing of our local school system, but this time I agree with the decision.. after watching how long Harvey survived on land in Texas, and the uncertainties of Irma's pathway, this is a good call... I still hope it proves to be wrong, but.. it's the safest bet of the moment.

Stupor-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Fake history * FYI, the pyramids weren’t built by slaves." -- "Fake history"? Well, maybe this dumbo had "fake history" TAUGHT in public school.. Maybe it's time to give all parents school vouchers so they can determine the history their children are taught. Oh, and shame on the L-E for airing this.. Oh, again.. why does the Jewish community still support Democrats?

Another stupor-LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Other than that ...Trump is morally bankrupt, congenitally dishonest, brazenly corrupt, and when it comes to the duties of his office, in way over his head." -- "morally bankrupt, congenitally dishonest, brazenly corrupt, and when it comes to the duties of his(her) office, in ay over his (her) head"? Good grief.. this stupor-LIV just listed the qualities he/she . had in Obama and supported in Hellary.. Trump is the best qualified economically qualified president I think we've ever ad in the White House.

L-E story: "Columbus police said it was a combination of speed and an unsecured trailer (load shift)  that caused a tractor-trailer to overturn early Wednesday on J.R. Allen Parkway. * Authorities said the woman was headed west on J.R. Allen Parkway. Her trailer was not secure when she began to negotiate a curve toward the bridge, according to a police report."  -- You know, if the nearby River Road roundabout was finished, this could have happened there ... with more damage.. the logging truck behind it would never have stopped upright.

---
L-E headline/story: "Miami shelters homeless despite their objections * “We’re going out and every single homeless person who is unwilling to come off the street, we are likely going to involuntarily Baker Act them,” said Ron Book, chairman of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust. * Invoking the “Baker Act” – a law that enables authorities to institutionalize patients who present a danger to themselves or others – is not something law enforcement does lightly, but officers detained at least six people by Friday afternoon. Under the law, they can be held up to 72 hours before the state would have to go to court to prolong their detention." -- hmmm.. the "Baker Act" ,,, a law that enables authorities to institutionalize patients who present a danger to themselves or others... hmmm... maybe this is what police officers should charge criminals and antifa demonstrators with when they don't obey orders to "stop" or "drop your weapon" I imagine it takes more time to get a criminal back on the street from a mental health facility than a jail cell.

L-E "Quoye": ""I AM FIERCELY LOYAL TO THOSE WILLING TO PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE MY MOUTH IS. * Paul Harvey, American journalist (1918-2009)" -- Hmmm.. guess libs really detested Paul Harvey..
