If someone hints at a direction mainscream media wants to report, mainscream media runs with it whether or not a "quarterback" has actually handed them a real or fake "ball".

While the bride and I do not watch many "violent" movies (other than "Marvel Superhero movies", my bride was out of town "grandbaby ogling", and Hallmark was running a mvie I've seen all too often recently, I decided to turn to Netflix/Hulu Friday night. Hulu had "The Magnificent 7" on.. I've been a Denzel Washington fan since "Carbon Copy", and though we passed on it at the theaters as we don't do "make-overs", I decided to watch it.. I figured it would pretty much plagiarize the 1960 version I loved, so I was prepared to "bail out" early if it was a yawner. It wasn't.. and while it followed the premise of the original, it had enough originality to enjoy. So, if you didn't see it for any of the reasons I/we passed on it, it's on Hulu now, and a worth a peek.

He told them officers could escort them to the hospital in Corpus Christi, but that they would immediately be arrested and face deportation. The couple agreed. * For two days the agents kept constant surveillance over the couple at the hospital. Both were then arrested and separately taken to be booked at the border patrol station. * Before leaving, the couple asked doctors to delay their son's procedure until both of them could get back to the hospital. They were permitted to return and the operation took place. * Advocate groups say the treatment by border patrol is usually reserved for criminals." -- Excuse me, but there are NO countries who don't treat undocumented entrants as CRIMINALS! What's missing here is that the child received surgery.. even though the parents were criminals and not paying for it.. Name me another country that would have done this.

Is it just me, or am I imagining a renewed assault from robocalls in spite of my long and continued registration in Do Not Call. I guess Do Not Call fell apart under Obama, too, like that other similar acronymed organization, the DNC did last election season.

Looks like the Democrat voters have stopped drinking the Kool-Aid. This may spell "trouble" for Democrats in traditional taken-for-granted Democratic Party strongholds in 2018 and 2020.

L-E headline/story: "Former school board member to run for Frank Myers’ seat * Six months before the qualifying period starts and eight months before the nonpartisan Election Day, the first candidate for one of the five Muscogee County School Board seats up for election in 2018 has been announced. * Retired urologist Philip Schley, who served on the board for 21 years (1972-81 and 1998-2010), including as chairman for nine years, will try to regain his District 8 seat. * Schley told the Ledger-Enquirer in voicemail, “I have begun to despair of the harm that’s being done to public education by the inability of the school board to work in cohesion, and I’d like to try to correct that if I can.” -- Besides unwarranted newspaper space for a candidate who is not a candidate until he qualifies, this is an outright assault on the taxpayers to replace one of the 2 MCSB members that has raised the bar on transparency. What's even sadder is that the powers behind the school board cannot find any new candidates so they are regurgitating old ones like they did Cathy Williams. The school system does not need a candidate who was involved in creating the current mess returning as its "Messiah" on the nine-member board.

Researchers knew they were white, cuz they were drinking pumpkin spice lattes. * Jimmy Fallon" -- "white" because they were drinking pumpkin spice lattes"? Well.. to be more specific.. more clarifying, maybe Fallon should have said "white liberals".. real Americans - black, white, Asian or Latino - do not drink pumpkin spice lattes.
