Online headline: "Witches around the world are casting a spell on Donald Trump once a month" -- Hmmm... I didn't know Pelosi, Feinstein,  Warren, Washerwoman Schultz, Murray, Collins, and Jackson-Lee joined Hellary, Whoopi, and Behar for a monthly "afternoon pee party".

---
Online headline: "U.S. appeals court rules against broad interpretation of Trump's travel ban" -- You know.. this is political BS.. Why should a lesser court even entertain a Presidential Executive Order...if a lower court get such a case, it should be immediately sent to the US Supreme Court....the only Court given equal Constitutional status with the Executive Branch.

---
Online headline: "To guard against climate change, Los Angeles is painting its streets white" -- Guess next we'll hear that the California Antifa will be changing from black hoodies to white hoodies... like they used to be..

---
Online headline/story: "Applebee's is ditching millennials after they forced hundreds of restaurant closures *  Applebee's has given up on millennials. *  The chain's failed attempt to win over millennial diners is at least partially to blame for struggles, according to executives. *  "Over the past few years, the brand's set out to reposition or reinvent Applebee's as a modern bar and grill in overt pursuit of a more youthful and affluent demographic with a more independent or even sophisticated dining mindset, including a clear pendulum swing towards millennials," John Cywinski, Applebee's brand president, said in a recent call with investors." -- Hmm.. as soon as the Board has replaced Cywinski, it probably will replace its Marketing&Research Director... obviously the M&R Director didn't consider that most millennials are probably under-employed and still living with their parents..and order off the Kiddie Menu. Sorry Applebee's, us parents got your message years ago, and have different restaurants we now enjoy.

While I do sympathize with the 16 year-old's death surfing the wave created by Hurricane Irma, pleas e do not add him into the casualties of Irma.. Chalk his death up to stupidity..

---
From the "Hollywood BS" department - Online headline/story: "Robert De Niro vows to rebuild island of Barbuda after Irma * De Niro co-owns the resort formerly known as the K Club with James Packer. The pair bought the property last year and have yet to begin construction on the property. * The “Taxi Driver” star’s concerns were with the island itself and the welfare of the people, according to his rep Stan Rosenfield."  -- "concerns were with the island itself and the welfare of the people, according to his rep Stan Rosenfield"? Good grief.. if Di Niro's "concerns" wee real, he, not his "representative" would have stated his own concerns.

Tell you what..Congressional Republicans who felt their feathers ruffled because Trump dealt with Democrats have only themselves to blame..Every Congressman, Republican and Democrat, is going to be measured against Trump in the 2018 elections.

---
Trump IS the smart businessman we elected.. Schumer, Pelosi, Ryan and McConnell have all hoisted themselves on their own petards... Trump has shown mainscream media he can , and is willing to, work with Congress and get things done, and now it's Congress's turn to show America,, particularly mainscream media, that Congress can/will work with Trump.

From the "details are in the Democrats' voting lists" department - Online headline/story: "Out-of-staters may have won New Hampshire for Clinton, data suggest *  New data suggest that more than 5,000 people who cast ballots in New Hampshire in the 2016 U.S. presidential election might not have been residents of the state * These voters likely used out-of-state driver’s licenses and have not since obtained an in-state license or registered a vehicle * The new figures could potentially call into question the validity of the New Hampshire results for Nov. 8, when Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton outpolled Republican nominee Donald Trump by a mere 2,736 votes. *  certain practices of voter registration, such as same-day registration, claiming lax rules invite fraud and abuse of the electoral system *  According to the data, 6,540 people registered to vote, and voted in the New Hampshire election, provided just out-of-state license. * Only 15 percent, roughly about 1,014 of the voters, have since obtained the in-state license, while 200 other people had since registered a vehicle in the state.* Despite New Hampshire law mandating that drivers acquire a state driving license within 60 days of becoming a resident in the state, more than 80 percent of people who registered to vote with out-of-state licenses still had not received their in-state license or registered a new vehicle – nearly 10 months after the election. * In addition, 196 people were under investigation for voting in two states. * three elections in New Hampshire were won by fewer than 5,000 votes, the Concord Patch reported. Clinton won against Trump by 2,736 votes, Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan beat U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte by 1,017 votes and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter won against incumbent U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta by 4,900 votes." -- Hmmm.. just the reversal of the Hassan-Ayotte results would have passed the OObamaCRAP repeal... All those votes shou;d be disqualified, and also checked against the polling data in the individual's polling place assigned to their driver's license address...

Remember when corporations rushed to register their "homes" as Delaware to get corporate tax relief? Well, would you believe that now Delaware is the second highest state for corporate tax collections? First of course, is New Hampshire -- you know, the one I just wrote about letting out-of-state people vote...

From the "America is back on track" department - Online headline/story: "DOJ files brief on behalf of baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple * The Justice Department on Thursday filed a brief supporting the Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple on faith-based grounds, in the latest religious freedom case to be considered before the nation's highest court. * “When Phillips designs and creates a custom wedding cake for a specific couple and a specific wedding, he plays an active role in enabling that ritual, and he associates himself with the celebratory message conveyed,” Acting Solicitor General Jeffrey B. Wall wrote in the brief. * Wall added, “Forcing Phillips to create expression for and participate in a ceremony that violates his sincerely held religious beliefs invades his First Amendment rights.” -- It's nice to have a DOJ that doesn't discriminate against ANY citizen's Constitutional right.... AGAIN!

---

Online headline/story: "Conservatives sign letter warning media against Southern Poverty Law Center * Forty-seven prominent conservatives have signed an open letter warning the mainstream media against using data on hate groups compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)." -- And they are correct.. the SPLC doesn't even consider "Islamic terrorist cells" as  "hate groups"...

----
Online headline: "Hurricane Irma takes aim at Trump's Mar-a-Lago, social media goes wild" -- Hmmm.. now we know where that poll I mentioned yesterday got its data on the decline of Christianism...

Online headline/story: "Democrat Leaders say Christians Can’t Serve as Federal Judges * Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Mazie Hirono (D-HI) all took shots at (7th District Court of Appeals nominee Amy Coney)  Barrett’s faith and suggested that she wouldn’t be able to do the job of a judge because of her Catholic faith." -- Now we know the other half of the pollees who believe Christianism is declining.

A couple days ago, Martha Plimpton, in front of God and a Seattle "hate" group meeting, ecstatically revealed that her first...her best...abortion was conducted in Seattle..You know, if people are going to consider abortions "good-better-best", an even better abortion would have been the one Martha Plimpton's mother could have chosen.

---
Those DACA kids who are now adults..why didn't they start processing themselves for U.S. citizenship? They knew/know they are here illegally.

---
Drove by a Ford dealer yesterday, and saw a price on the side of a truck. $11,0170 it read. Pretty good, I thought.. Then I looked again..it read $11,017...OFF!. I thought, good grief, I remember when I could have bought 3 or 4 trucks for $11,017 total.

---
While riding by that same Dealer, I saw another car with a sign that read , "0% Interest for 72 Months"... Hmm, I thought, who would buy a new car that didn't get a warranty that lasted as long as the loan..

---
How can we get Hellary's book tour extended? The more she talks, the more Democrats cringe. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the DNC followed her around and bought up every copy and held a giant book-burning party every week or so until they're all gone. Maybe we should all go buy a copy and donate it to a school to public library to make sure every student reads it and learns what liberalism/socialism is actually about.

Remember when corporations rushed to register their "homes" as Delaware to get corporate tax relief? Well, would you believe that now Delaware is the second highest state for corporate tax collections? First of course, is New Hampshire -- you know, the one I just wrote about letting out-of-state people vote...

L-E headline/story: "Police, sheriff: Gangster Disciples is largest street gang in Columbus * To understand the extent of the gang problem in Columbus, the first place to look is the Muscogee County Jail. * On Wednesday, about 400 of the 1,066 inmates in the facility were validated members of one street gang or another, Sheriff Donna Tompkins said this week" -- "To understand the extent of the gang problem in Columbus, the first place to look is the Muscogee County Jail"? WRONG! to understand the gang problem, you have to look at Mayor Tom-LYING-son's history of DENYING we have a gang problem in Columbus!

One thing for sure is that Mayor Tom-LYING-son owes a personal apology to Darr and Columbus citizens...and maybe she should pay us back all the legal fees she caused!

L-E headline/story: "Fort Middle School’s new gym finally dedicated" -- Lewis reminded the audience Fort’s new gym is one of the projects envisioned to be funded by the 1 percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax voters approved in 2009. But the slugglish recovery from the Great Recession the next five years produced a shortfall of approximately $30 million on the $223,155,784 list and resulted in Fort’s new gym becoming one of the delayed projects." -- "a shortfall of approximately $30 million on the $223,155,784 list "? Good grief.. must be new math.. the "shortfall" was almost $50 MILLION.. and the current SPLOST is running at a 12% deficit which will be a $23 Million shortfall...

You know, I was at the CB&T branch bank on River Road where I "bank" the other day to initiate a new service.. When I got the "paper" to initial, there was not mention  of CB&T.. only "Synovus".. I then walked over to the Teller station to make a deposit, and looked at the back wall. It was covered with a series of framed panels depiction a mural history of Columbus Bank and Trust.. I thought, how soon will "Synovus" take those down...it saddens me...

L-E story: "Public Defender T. Moffett Flournoy, III, Katheryn Rhodes, and Rachelle Hunter, attorneys in the Rapid Resolution program, talk about the initiative administered by their office. They say the program is helping to reduce overcrowding at the Muscogee County Jail. * Rapid Resolution, the program implemented to reduce overcrowding at the Muscogee County Jail, has made significant progress over the past two years, according to criminal justice officials." -- You know, no story on this program should be aired unless it also airs the number of recidivist that have returned to the court/crime system.. and those cases should parse whether the previous convictions included unwarranted "plea bargains" that hid aspects of the crime  history of the individuals
