Oh, BTW, Geraldo.. yes, that one.. was in Columbus, GA yesterday.. he says he wanted to experience the last vestiges of Hurricane Irma. Hmm that fits him... and should be as dramatic a TV special as opening Al Capone's "vault".. Of course, in order to salvage some semblance of credibility, he did subject himself to chaos and high winds... he interviewed Mayor Tom-LYING-son...Hmmm... wow, think about this...if he had just been smart enough, Geraldo would have realized that he had an exclusive interview with the Valley's greatest disaster.. the two-terms of Mayor Tom-LYING-son.

You know, there's a real landmine to our school system if surrounding counties in the valley area were to file a class action suit against Columbus collecting the MCSD SPLOST tax from their citizens? The City has a better position on charging/collecting LOST taxes, as all out-of-county shoppers benefit from what the City provides, but, all the other valley area school systems are penalized because their taxpayers are not benefiting from MCSD projects.

I surely haven't heard anything to suggest the City has done this, but wouldn't it nice....friendly..even neighborly, if the Mayor called for a suspension of all the hotel taxes added onto evacuees bills. And hotels not charge their usual "parking fees".
