From the "interesting facts liberals would just as soon not discuss" department - with all the mainscream media/liberal hatred spewed at and about Sheriff Joe Arpaio's "tent city" facility in Maricopa County, the facility had a maximum population of 1,700 prisoners .. Now, Maricopa County Arizona ihas a total population of over 3,800,000. Hmmm..0004 percent of area population).. Columbus, GAmy town has a population of about 200,00 people, and we have an average daily number of 1,000 or so prisoners.. that's about ,005 percent of our population.. Hmmm..if "tent city" had a similar percent as Columbus, Arpaio's Tent City would have had a population of about 19,000! If you reversed the formula, Columbus, GA would have only 80 prisoners.. Liberals just excoriated Arpaio unjustly... but.. then again, that's what liberals do..

Online headline/story: "Catholic leaders speak out against Trump's 'reprehensible' decision on DACA * Leaders of the Catholic church in the U.S. are taking a firm stance against President Trump’s decision to cancel the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy." -- Hmmm.. don't you wish the Catholic leaders had spoken out as quickly and forcefully when the first priest  was outed for molesting children?

---
Online story: " (Robert Wright) Lee (IV’)s vocal anti-racism advocacy work earned him an invitation to speak at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. On Aug. 27, he appeared at the awards show to “call on all of us with privilege and power to answer God’s call to confront racism and white supremacy head-on.”  Lee announced he would be leaving Bethany United Church of Christ in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, explaining that some members of the congregation were “uncomfortable with the attention the church was receiving.” “The church’s reaction was deeply hurtful to me,” Lee wrote in his statement. *  Lee declined to comment further on his departure from the church but said he felt “convinced” that fighting against racism was a Christian value." -- You know, Lee's statement that "fighting against racism was a Christian value" is true.. It's also true that racism is a two way street, and it's also true Christians must stand up against false prophets. Satan, and unwarranted religious persecution.. Jesus did not ignore the money-changers at the temple.

From the "aren't vampires the only "people" who don't see their reflection in a mirror" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Hillary Clinton reportedly holds Bernie Sanders responsible for 'paving the way' to Trump’s 'Crooked Hillary' strikes" -- Good grief.. Hellary has redefined the word "denial".. she cannot take even her own actions as the cause of her self-destructive behavior.. if mainscream media continues to support Hellary's definition, WEbster w[may as well remove the word from its future dictionaries.

---
Online headline: "Illinois Democrat Gutierrez: Kelly a 'disgrace to the uniform' over DACA" -- Good grief.. how is Gutierrez even ALLOWED to serve the same government as General John Kelly? Gutierrez has never worn a military uniform, and, apparently doesn't respect the Constitution of the United States that Kelly has so protected for Gutierrez to rail against..

---
Online headline: "'Goonies' star Martha Plimpton says she had her 'best abortion' in Seattle *  Actress Martha Plimpton was cheered on by an audience after boasting she had her "best" abortion in Seattle." -- Hmm.. hey Martha Plimpton... not all your audience "cheered".. God was there, too, in spite of your beliefs.. uh.. NON-Belief, and HE was taking notes to discuss with you later... OR NOT.

---
You know.. CNN has not.. has STILL not addressed it's anchor Kamau Bell's antifa rally reference to calling all attendees to a prayer rally in San Francisco as "Nazis". We cannot even suggest that CNN has a "double standard" as it appears that CNN has NO standard.

---
Online headline/story: "Texas voter ID law OK for now; appeals court blocks injunction * Texas Republicans won a minor victory Tuesday in their battle to implement a voter identification law. *  By a 2-1 vote, a federal appeals court panel in New Orleans stayed a permanent injunction to throw out the law, which requires voters to present an accepted photo ID card." --  "Texas Republicans won a minor victory"?  What mainscream bias! This wasn't a minor victory for Texas Republicans, it was a MAJOR victory for all American citizens in ALL 50 states.

You wonder if MayorYom-LYING-son has programmed how pedestrians/runners are supposed to negotiate roundabouts? Older pedestrians, in particular, will have to re-learn what they were taught growing up -look both ways, then proceed with caution - but millennials and snowflakes will have to be retrained altogether because there are no "walk/don't walk" lights to guide them.

You know the 2018 local Columbus elections will be all about streets and garbage.and waste...and how candidates will protect people and cars and bikers while they are on the streets, and keeping garbage and trash off them as well, and how to eliminate negative revenue projects waste out of the budget.

---
You know..Trump can solve our southern border issues... and with the blessing of Dems and mainscream media alike. Instead of "the Wall", Trump just needs to install solar panel fields all along our border..the heat generated will zap illegals trying to get through them like similar fields already do to birds flying over them.

How novel...we were in Atlanta Tuesday to go to a sonogram of our next grandchld, and we actually got to drive on arterial and residential roads that have been recently resurfaced. Before we left, I hit 2 potholes taking my cat to the vets for an overnight stay.. and both were just the lesser of potholes I had to choose from which I would dodge. We so badly need another Red McDaniel on our Council!

---
Looks like the SEC did well opening week... 12 & 2, and it could have been 13 & 1 just as easily (14 & 0 ..was not.going to happen with the Gators missing 10 players with suspensions). It also looks like we are in for a lot of good SEC rivalry games all season long..In short, are you ready for some GREAT football!

---
Big trucks were everywhere coming back from Atlanta! Love it! It's my number one economic indicator for a growing America..Dems and RINOs take heed..you are competing against Trump in the 2018 elections!

---
Now that the Big Trucks are running again, let's talk safety. We were in the rain coming home, and trucks passed us on both sides..Our legislators might want to consider a law requiring Big Trucks to stay in the right lane and travel at a top speed of 55 when it's raining or just wet conditions. Hmmm, I wonder if I got one of those advertising car wraps with Ken Nugent's face plastered across the rear whether Big Trucks would consider not passing us.

From the "how to pron[mote segregation, and stoip any discussions about solutions" department - Onlne headline: "Black Lives Matter Leader: ‘Stop Saying White Privilege, Start Saying White Supremacy’" -- You know, it's time.. it's time for leaders, specifically black leaders, across the county to step up and squash these divisive elements..

---
From the "hey, Charlie Rangel.. we knew you couldn't hide forever" department: "Democrat Rep. Charlie Rangel has found himself in a bit of a pickle. After years of allegedly thumbing his nose at pesky things like rules, his supposed misdeeds may be coming back to bite him on the proverbial hind quarter.
A House ethics committee subpanel today found Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel guilty of 11 of the 13 charges of ethics violations against him. * The panel, composed of four Democrats and four Republicans, emerged after private deliberation to announce their findings." -- It's almost gratifying that a panel, equally represented by Democrats, would find any charges against Rangel valid.. but I'm going to  bet, the two charges they didn't convict him on were the ones that should have been included.. Now, getting even a Republican House to enforce the tools they have to sentence Rangel will leave the House still tainted.. after all, it's just a few ethics thingies...and what's that compared to staying whole.

L-E headline/story: "Man killed was witness in 2016 murder trial * Two men who were key players in a 2016 Muscogee County murder trial have both been shot in separate incidents in the last week.
Travis Porter, the 35-year-old man who was shot and killed in a Farr Road apartment late Monday night, was a key witness who recanted his story in a 2016 trial that led to the acquittal of Reginald Jamal Jackson. * The Jackson-Porter connection goes back to the 2013 shooting that killed 23-year-old Dior Cheney. Jackson was charged with that murder. *  In April 2016, Porter was the star witness for the prosecution in Jackson’s trial in Muscogee County Superior Court. When he took the stand, Porter denied that Jackson was the shooter, going back on what he had previously told investigators." --  I guess it's the old "what's goes around, comes around" adage becoming personified.. Now, doesn't this make the homicides stand at 29 this year..with almost 4 months remaining.. of course, but who's counting..certai]nly NOT Mayor Tom-LYING-son......

Pertinent L-E "soundoff": "While we’re at it Since the pyramids were built by slaves I guess they will be torn down next." -- Shhhh... Egypt is in Africa, and everyone KNOWS there are no slavery issues in Africa today...

---
L-E story: "The Muscogee County School Board on Tuesday conducted two of the three public hearings on its revised millage rate, but nobody took advantage of the opportunity to speak for or against the proposal.
The first hearing started at noon; the second hearing started at 6 p.m. Both lasted less than 5 minutes. * After keeping the millage rate at 23.37 for 21 straight years, the nine-member board voted 5-1 Aug. 25 to tentatively adopt the rollback rate of 23.321" -- Hmm.. just proves what Frank and John say is true.. when the MCSB acts responsibly, the public supports it!

---
L-E headline/story: "Man sentenced for sex assault in CSU dorm * Now he will serve 10 years in prison and 10 on probation for two counts of sodomy and one of aggravated sexual battery. Charges of rape and furnishing alcohol to minors were dropped." -- By no means am I lessening the drunken assault of a drunken woman, but this sentence seems harsh compared to seeing cases of sober violence getting unexplained early releases, and then reading about recidivism by the same criminals during the time they should have been serving..

After zero success at using the L-E's online subscription renewal option. I did get through to te call center (probably not in the US) and got my L-E account updated..I think I discovered what the problem was.. the L-E accounting department listed my address at 17 W. 12th Street.. I told the representative that this was the address of "THE L-edger-Enquirer! I wonder if I should sue for back wages since so much of my writings appear in the L-E, and the L-E thinks I live there...

Hey, world.. if you caught the GA Tech-Tennessee game on Monday night, the Tech QB, TaQuon Marshall is from one of Columbus neoghboring communities in Harris County!

---
L-E headline/story: "Storied New York tabloid is sold to Tronc chain * Chicago-based Tronc Inc., the publisher of the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune, announced the deal Monday night." -- and we wondered how liberal news dominates all the large liberal centers in America.. Those three states alone provided Hellary with 16,400,663 of her votes.. almost 7,000,000 more than Trump got in those 3 states. In other words, Trump lead Hellary by more than 4,000,000 more votes in the other 47 states.. this, my liberal friends is why Trump beat y'all's messenger by so many Electoral College votes.. put simply.. AMERICA SPOKE... LOUD and CLEAR!

L-E headline/story: "Best time to merge is not early, but at the last minute * After the necessary groaning, you put your head on a swivel and try to merge as soon as you can, because you know that if you keep on in the same lane, you’re going to have to wait for some kind Samaritan to let you in at the last minute. * But waiting until the last second is exactly what you’re supposed to do, traffic experts say. * It’s called the zipper merge, and it’s been shown in studies to be more efficient, much faster and much safer than merging “politely” before you are forced to cut in front of someone." --  Good grief.. people run Red Lights here without thought of slowing down for a yellow signal, and the liberals want drivers to "be polite".. I guess it's theoir way of explaining how "roundabouts" on major highways will be a massive failure... I recommend driving like my parents and grandparents taught me.. "drive defensively,, the life you save may be YOIUR OWN!  In other words, if you're killed observing your right-of-way, you're just as dead as if you'd been wrong..

You know.. I cringe whenever I hear politicians shout out their support of "Fair Taxes".. What's really "fair" about taxes.. what I want to hear is a politician.. in fact, the majority of politicians talk about REASONABLE taxes.
