Let's all pray our thanks for the Irma damages in our area being limited..
and congratulations for the City Service and law enforcement departments being
ready to react so fast.

From the "mainscream media still doesn't get Trump" department - Online
story: "President Donald Trump is weighing a strategy that could allow more
aggressive U.S. responses to Iran's forces, its Shi'ite Muslim proxies in Iraq
and Syria, and its support for militant groups, according to six current and
former U.S. officials. * The proposal was prepared by Defense Secretary Jim
Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, national security adviser H.R.
McMaster and other top officials, and presented to Trump at a National Security
Council meeting on Friday, the sources said. * All of the sources are familiar
with the draft and requested anonymity because Trump has yet to act on it. * In
contrast to detailed instructions handed down by President Barack Obama and some
of his predecessors, Trump is expected to set broad strategic objectives and
goals for U.S. policy but leave it to U.S. military commanders, diplomats and
other U.S. officials to implement the plan, said a senior administration
official." -- "In contrast to detailed instructions handed down by President
Barack Obama" ? Good grief, Obama would have told looters in Houston Miami what
time he was evacuating his home, to what veterinarian he was taking his guard
dogs , and when he was returning..... and that the key was under the mat.. and
the reasons mainscream media sources want anonymity is that they have no clue
either of what Trump's plan is.... and that is the way a successful plan is
carried out.

Good grief.. the Mayor of Seattle as well as this Connecticut Councilman are held to higher standards only after their personnas become public.. how come these standards weren't important when they were campaigning for office.. Oh, BTW, both men are Democrats.. and speaking of Democrat pervs, why didn't Democrats hold Bill Clinton to higher standards?

Gutierrez asked of Kelly." -- Good grief.. Gutierrez should be expelled from Congress... today.. not 6 months from now.. Kelly swore an oath to protect this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and a Congressman who violates the oath he swore to uphold our Constitution should be expelled for treason.

From above story: "“My heart sinks every time I receive a phone call from Chief Durham early in the wee hours of the morning, because I know what that call means,” (Mayor) Stoney said. * Durham said he will assign two officers to patrol Gilpin Court on foot, a method that has had success in the past, the Times-Dispatch reported. * Gilpin Court is among four public housing locations where the most trouble has been seen, with police arresting a total of more than 700 people this year from those areas." -- "he will assign two officers to patrol Gilpin Court on foot, a method that has had success in the past"? Hmmm... 2 questions: 1 - If it was successful in the past, why was it abandoned?, and 2 - How long will it be before "assignees" resign from the RPD and go to other cities? Let's face it, in the world of BLM, putting police officers on foot in this situation is basically a "death sentence".

But the State Department awarded the deal to a U.K.-based operation called The Blue Mountain Group. * "Blue Mountain U.K. is a teeny, tiny, little security company registered in Wales that had never had a diplomatic security contract, had never done any high threat contracts anywhere else in the world that we've been able to find, much less in high threat areas for the U.S. government. They had a few guys on the ground," he said.
* According to Torres, the Blue Mountain Group came in 4 percent lower than their bid – and they challenged the decision, claiming the American company should have been preferred over the foreign one." -- "the State Department awarded the deal to a U.K.-based operation "? Good grief.. and mainscream media blistered Trump because the company he no longer makes decision for hired a Chinese company to do work on a Trump golf complex in DUBAI!

Online story: "Hillary Clinton's newly released campaign memoir adds voter ID laws and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to the list of reasons why she lost the 2016 presidential election." -- Hmmm... wonder when she's going to blame the millions of Trump supporters for not voting for her?
Oh, and when will she call for an investigation of New Hampshire's voting lists for voters New Hampshire allowed to register with out-of-state-ID cards based on thenm getting New Hampshire driver's licenses within 60 days? Hellary "won" NH by less than 2,500 votes, and even worse is Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte was unseated by former Governor Hasan by less than 1,00 votes.. and with the votes required to get legislation passed, that 2-vote swing in the Senate proven itself very important.

It was heart-warming to see pictures of Historic Downtown home-owners out
cutting up and cleaning out the debris of storm felled trees on their streets..
Let's pray Columbus doesn't have a law against citizen vigilantism for doing
so.. There was a West Coast "pothole vigilante" group it's local government
tried to squash...

L-E headline/story: "Virgin Islands residents feel like ‘stepchildren’ of
U.S. after Hurricane Irma * As Hurricane Irma bore down on the Caribbean last
week, Laurel Brannick, a park ranger on far-flung St. John Island, flipped
through news channels to see how she might be affected. * “The weather channels
didn’t even include us,” she said. “All they kept saying was that Irma was in
the Caribbean and headed to Florida.” * Matt Gyuraki, a 35-year-old IT
specialist, worried that there wasn’t more of a coordinated U.S. effort to
rescue the islands. * “It feels like we’re the bastard stepchildren of America
and now nobody wants to help us,” he said. “America wanted us at one time, but
now they really don’t.” * The islands are an unincorporated territory, with a
nonvoting delegate in the U.S. House, and are about 40 miles east of Puerto
Rico.

L-E headline/story: "Uptown Float will let you float your cares away
downtown * Downtown Columbus is getting a new kind of business this fall, one
that aims to help the stressed and strained by allowing them to soak and float
their cares away. * The water is filled with 1,000 pounds of Epson salt, so you
just effortlessly float.* "“We have showers here, and people will shower before
floating, so it’s completely sanitary and clean,” Wolfenbarger said." -- Hmmm..
in this day when diseases are becoming impervious to strong antibiotics , we are
to believe 98.8 degree salt water will kill super-bugs, and stds? I'm sorry, but
no thanks..

Oh! What ever happened to that property next to the Downtown Marriott that
the Pezold's blocked another hotel from buying.. Is the City still allowing the
Marriott to park cars there? And since the Pezolds claim the property is worth
$1,300,000.00, has the City raised it's rent accordingly?

L-E headline: "Tax assessors process more than 10,000 tax appeals in wake

don't have property tax protection or special "conservancy" exemptions... It
also doesn't include landowners who's property was valued down or is
considerably under what they feel the real value is.. Yes, Tyler Technologies

company, has been to the MCSD.
