"a punk"? because President Trump is not going to let a "temporary protected status" decree of Obama become PERMANENT? Trump is doing the job that the voters of 30 of 50 states said they wanted.. to re-establish the U.S. Constitution as "the law of the land".. The Philadelphia mayor might want to try doing the same and recreate Philadelphia's image as a safe city of Brotherly Love.

Online "headLIE/story: "Richard Spencer is reportedly banned from over 26 European nations * Poland's state-run news agency reports the country's authorities issued a five-year ban on Spencer entering the Schengen Area, which is made up of 26 countries, including Germany, France, Spain and Italy. * The ministry said that "as a country which was one of the biggest victims of Nazism," it thinks the ideas Spencer and his followers promote may be "a threat to all those who hold dear the values of human rights and democracy.": -- HeadLIE in that it's the equivalent of one US state's governor kicking a protester out and and demanding the other 49 states do the same. What's really sad is that when the Polish "authorities" issued this ban, they dishonored their ancestors who picked up tools and rocks to fight off German tanks to keep and regain their freedom.

Whatta horrific injury Mississippi State's quarterback sustained last night. You could see his foot re-positioned at a 90-degree angle from his leg. Whatta brave leader we saw as he was carted off the field in pain but still cheering on his teammates and fans to carry on. He even rejoined his team on the sidelines wearing a leg cast and on crutches.. a real inspiration. A last quarter comeback was thwarted but the Bulldogs showed their worthiness of being ranked in the top 20 teams in the country.

Now, a bit of a personal story.. Nick Fitzgerald was in Columbus, GA on Tuesday.. I walked into Smokey Pig BBQ off Linwood for a pre-Thanksgiving treat/and change-of-pace. Ordered and got my regular chipped sandwich/8-oz stew with sweet tea and went into the dining area.. There he was,, with his mom and dad. I looked at him with that "I know who you are" look and he he knew I'd recognized him as he sat there. He nodded.. As they got up to leave a few minutes later, he looked again and gave a "thank you for not intruding" nod. Let me tell you, Nick Fitzgerald is a huge young man, He's described as 6' 5" and 235 pounds, but I was 6' 5" and 220 when I played frosh b-ball at State, and he must weigh 25 or 30 pounds more than I did.

LaVar Ball's son would be in a Chinese jail for the next 10 years had Trump not intervened (and to be honest, as a retired retail merchant, I was not happy that Trump interfered with the arrest/prosecution of a shoplifter), but I'm glad Trump did. LaVar Ball "is a fool" for not being eternally grateful for President Trump's actions.. and LaVar Ball should be even if he was white.

The boycott is working...we had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, and afterward, enjoyed playing with all the grandchildren/great-grandchildren, and one person even asked what the NFL games were being played!

I use to really enjoy the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade..but found it almost unbearable to listen to "guests" sitting in or being highlighted at different locations.. if the networks want to cover it because of tradition, then the networks should make the Parade its primary focus.

Good grief..the CBS announcer for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade said the Air Force Band had traveled all the way from its "home state" of Washington, D.C.. Washington, D.C. is NOT A STATE, and was never intended to become one when our Founding Fathers realized no state should be the seat of the federal government .

From an L-E article on "food" - " Castoreum, which is used as vanilla flavoring in candies, baked goods, etc., is actually a secretion from the anal glands of beavers." -- I am going into our pantry when I finish my blog and read the ingredients list on every box or bags of food stuff in it, and if I find "Castoreum" om any of it, I am going to have my lawyers file a "clASS action suit" against any and all of them!

There is an organization in Columbus called "Together 2017" that spends more money advertising on what and who is doing projects around Columbus than it spends actually DOING things around Columbus. One of the members is GA Power CO. That's right, the GA Power Company.. the monopoly utility company that has closed its office here so it no longer is a tax contributing member of our community. If there's ever a deserving moment to say "Bah Humbug" it's at GA Power Co claiming to be a participant in Columbus' growth and economy.

From the "Truth in Advertising... NOT" department - Earlier this week, my bride noticed an ad from Headquarter Nissan that she thought said that if you "bought a Nissan Titan truck, you would get a Nissan Versa free". We are in the mood for new vehicles and thought that if I bought a truck, then we could use the Versa as a trade-in towards another car of her choice. We went by on Monday and learned that the real deal was that if you bought the truck then you'd get a free 2-year lease on a Versa.. we walked away feeling that she just misunderstood the ad. Well, yesterday evening, I saw the TV ad which said "Buy a Titan, Get a Versa sedan".. it sounded like a "BOGO --Buy One Get One" to me. . Just wrote them off from future considerations.

There is a scam going on in Columbus! My mother-in-law got a call purportedly from someone with my daughter, and told her that our daughter was in jail following an accident and needed $3,000.00 and to bring to the caller.. My mother-in-law is still sharp as a tack, and asked the caller what our daughter's other grandmother's name was.. and the caller hung up. Then she learned another person she knows received the same kind of call and had actually taken the money to them. There's a special place in Hell for these kind of people.. I hope I'll get a chance to send them there earlier than they expect. Sorry Lord.. just said what I know YOU knew I was thinking.
