Yesterday, I wrote about the dismal employment figures released as "belonging" to Columbus's Council and Mayor..a fellow BCer reminded me that it's bigger than that.. our State Legislative delegation needs to share the shame.. John Pezold, Carolyn Hugley, Calvin Smyre, Debbie Buckner, Ed Harbison, and Richard Smith. Josh McKoon gets a pass because the "Republicans" shunned him because he was "too ethical".. Hey.. in my book, you're either ETHICAL or you're not.

L-E headline: "Columbus police seek two cars after chases, exchange of gunfire" -- This story was "edited" concerning the police vehicles "losing track of the pursuants.. the first L-E report described it as "calling off" due to dangers. Beside this sounding like a sequel to a "Keystone Kops" movie, every thug driving and seeing blue lights behind him will "jack rabbit" knowing our police will not pursue them if they drive fast and recklessly. I understand the dangers of a car chase to our police officers and the general public as well (documented sadly by the loss of a beloved Carver baseball coach), but at the same time, this policy will encourage EVERY criminal behind the wheel of a car to be emboldened to "get away" regardless of the dangers they create for the public.
