Online story: "The US Air Force on Monday said it had failed to record gunman Devin Patrick Kelley's domestic violence conviction into a federal database following his discharge from the military, which could have prevented him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people. * Kelley was convicted of domestic violence from a military court after he was found guilty of assaulting his spouse and child, according to several media reports. The military's failure to note Kelley's conviction into the National Criminal Information Center, a federal database, allowed him to pass several background checks and purchase firearms. * "The Air Force has launched a review of how the service handled the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction," the Air Force said in a statement. "Federal law prohibited him from buying or possessing firearms after this conviction." -- Hmmm.. convicted in 2012... during the "politically correct" atmosphere of Resident Obama...sorta makes sense in an evil way.

You know, no matter how Mayor Tom-LYING-son spins it, her economic legacy will be that both Sears and K-mart closed up shop in Columbus during her rudderless leadership. Let's face it.. Sears and K-mart are not fringe businesses.. they are multi-generational icons..

From the "wait a minute.. why should we care" department - Online story: "Although Republicans generally support the bill's broader themes, including a sharp reduction in the corporate income tax, they are torn over other elements, including the repeal of the deduction for state and local income tax (SALT) payments. * New York, California and other high-tax states would be hard hit by the loss of that deduction. There are enough Republicans from those states to derail the bill in Congress, given that Democrats are unlikely to offer any support." -- Why should the citizens of 48 states be compromised by the concern of two states that under-tax their own wealthy citizens and use federal money to compensate for it? Besides, it's New York and California.. which are not going to support conservative issues anyway, and who's Democrat representatives hold up economy aiding legislation to make sure its wealthy can continue their lifestyle by having special tax breaks.

Here come the judge... gotta new lawyer in the family... officially as of yesterday, but he was second fiddle according to the judge who gave her robe and gavel to the court's favorite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From the "Speaking of judges. when's one gonna call Comey back in: department - Online headline/story: "Early Comey draft accused Clinton of gross negligence on emails * An early draft of former FBI Director James Comey's statement closing out the Hillary Clinton email case accused the former secretary of State of having been "grossly negligent" in handling classified information, newly reported memos to Congress show. * The tough language was changed to the much softer accusation that Clinton had been "extremely careless" in her handling of classified information when Comey announced in July 2016 there would be no charges against her. * The change is significant, since federal law states that gross negligence in handling the nation's intelligence can be punished criminally with prison time or fines." -- Hmmm.. taking a line out of a movie favorite of mine.. Comey has "a lot of 'splaining to do".

With the number... no ..density of big rigs bumper-to-bumper on every I-state in and about Atlanta, the recent GDP figures are fixing to soar.

From the "how'da hell" department - L-E headline: "Police: Man with 6 prior DUI convictions charged with homicide by vehicle after Saturday crash" -- 6 DUI convictions? How'da hell can such a person be issued a driver's license. be allowed to buy a vehicle or get insurance to do so? And if you're thinking there were unusual or mitigating circumstances.. step away from your keyboard... and go visit the family of the man killed.

L-E headline/story: "Don’t count on roundabout along Warm Springs/Talbotton Road widening * The $34-million project will widen the heavily-used, two-lane corridor to four lanes. A reader wants to know why there is no roundabout in the plans at Warm Springs Road and 17th Avenue, where five streets send traffic flowing into the busy intersection. * Rick Jones, director of the Planning Department for the Columbus Consolidated Government, said the project was in the planning stages for more than 20 years before construction started more than a year ago. When planners were talking about the project, roundabouts weren’t even a consideration." -- Wait a minute! Is the Planning Department saying it hasn't revised/looked at 20 year old plans before beginning? While I do not share the viability of roundabouts in highly fluctuating traffic situations, a round about at that location would be a wj]=hole lot safer than the one planned at River Road/Bradley Park/Cascade/Green Island Drive because.. BECAUSE NO LOGGING TRUCKS will be trying to maneuver around it nor traffic be entering it at 45/50 MPH.

The Citizens Committee on the 2015 SPLOST, while potentially a good idea, is basically wasted time for the committee and school administative representatives..Dr Lewis considers himself an "ad hoc" member, but all that he adds to the conversation is a "muzzle" on what school personnel can/will say in front of him, so very little exchange will be had between the citizens serving on it and school administrators.

November 4 was the big day Antifa chose to promote anarchy...but nobody showed up... guess Antifa will be known in the future as "anti-FAil"

I want o know....now that the Clintons no longer control the political atmosphere of America, I want to know how much..and from who...money has been donated to their foundations...and I want to know where they have distributed such..

Online story: "I wantto know....now that the Clintons no longer control the political atmosphere of America, I want to know how much..and from who...money has been donated ti their foundations...and I want to know where they have distributed such.." -- Hey.. you heard that suggested first in "The Breakfast Club" last year. Yes!

Random thought: I do not want to hear a Democrat complaining about tax cuts affecting the National Debt.. There would be no National Debt if Democrats didn't spend money that wasn't there at the time..The fact that we have such debt, is because Democrats "kicked the can" down the road buying votes to get then elected/re-elected. Besides, the only way to reduce/eliminate the current debt is to make America Great Again by ramping up the economy with tax cuts.
---
Random thought 2: Just wondering.. I'm sure you have as well...How much in Tax Anticipation Notes (TANs) has the MCSD authorized/taken so far? Has the City done such as well?

It's nice that some politicians are concerned with voter fraud, but are any willing to stop "early voting" which allows the most opportunity to commit voter fraud?

From the "Fred Sanford, "Elizabeth, it's the big one" department - L-E headline:
"TURNAROUND ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS * 5 Muscogee schools on list of lowest-performing in Ga." -- You know.. no matter much much sugar is added to some lemons, it will not taste like lemonade... allowing new schools to be added to the list while others are being helped off of that list is not a good sign that any real solutions are being dealt with.
---
L-E headline/story: "Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs changes name, again * Rapper and producer Sean Combs has changed his nickname once again. * In a video posted to Twitter Saturday, Combs said he was celebrating his birthday by changing his name to “Love, a.k.a. Brother Love." -- Wait a minute..don't we already have a "Brother Love" in Columbus.. is the town big enough for two?
---
L-E headline/story: "Sony pulls festival premiere of Spacey film * Sony Pictures is pulling the film “All the Money in the World” from the AFI Fest following the sexual misconduct allegations made against co-star Kevin Spacey." -- Wow.. when mainscream media and other libs DO decide to look at themselves in the mirror, they really see their own viciousness.. even so. it's not as vicious as when they look at and go after conservatives on any issue.

From the "confirmation" department - L-E headline/story: "Acquitted in 2010 murder, man jailed for attacking officer * Three men went on trial for James’ robbery and homicide in December 2011, but only one was convicted: Willie Theotis “Jack” Jones, who was sentenced to life without parole. * A second suspect, Shannon C. “Scooter” Fields, was found not guilty of murder, and the jury deadlocked on his armed robbery charge. He went free. * The third suspect in James’ slaying was Tavares Deanco “Black” Lowe, whom the jury also found not guilty of murder and armed robbery. He went free, too. * Today Jones, 42, still is serving his life sentence at the Jack T. Rutledge State Prison here in Columbus. * At age 20, Fields was gunned down March 20, 2013, inside the Foxy Lady Lounge, 3023 Victory Drive. His homicide remains unsolved. * Now Lowe, 42, whose criminal history dates back to 1993, is going to serve time after pleading guilty Monday to assaulting a police officer last year during a drug arrest." -- Last week I penned a letter-to-the-editor about how the police, and DA's office are trying their best to keep criminals off our street but that "we".. the community.. as jurors.. are letting them back on our streets.. as a community, we have got to get on the same page and let gangs know that they will be held accountable... every time!

Random thought 3: Once again, Devin (_*_) Kelley has reminded us of the necessity that law abiding citizens should not have their Constitutional rights to own guns toyed with.. Criminals will get their hands on guns, and the best defense is for private citizens be allowed to defend themselves and other private law abiding citizens from attacks. 26 people were killed at a church service, and 14 more lay in uncertainty at hospitals.. how many more were saved such tragedy by a lone law abiding citizen who took out the killer before he did more harm.

L-E headline: "Broadcom offers $105B to buy rival chipmaker Qualcomm * BY MICHAEL J. DE LA MERCED * New York Times" -- Amazing.. not one mention of the Broadcom announcement made with President Trump, that Broadcom was moving it's headquarters BACK to America to be part of Making America Great Again.
