The Chairman of the Psychology Department at Columbia University said teachers should have the ability to demand that students be mentally evaluated at their discretion. Would he have given gun-totin', brother and colleague shootin', U of A-Huntsville professor that right?

L-E story: " BIRMINGHAM — Have an idea how to make Birmingham (AL) better? You could win $50,000. " -- Can you imagine the "soundoff" responses?
---
Hindsight at what went wrong at Synovus/CB&T will always be clear; the future is not.

L-E story: " ROME — A teenager at the heart of the latest criminal probe of Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi said Saturday the billionaire media mogul gave her €7,000 ($9,350) when she came to a Valentine’s Day soiree at his villa but reiterated she didn’t have sex with him. " -- Who does this Berlusconi think he is...former NY Democrat Governor/current CNN talk show host Eliot Spitzer?
---
L-E headline: "Riots and looting erupt in Tunisia " -- Ooops, my bad. Thought for a minute the NBA had expended and Tunisia won its first NBA championship.
---
The "Columbus Regional Bi-State Economic Outlook" seminar/discussion is scheduled for this coming Friday at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. Two of the sponsors are Synovus and CB&T. Bad timing.

From the L-E: "Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie used a word found in no respectable dictionary to describe Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady, calling him an expletive." -- Why does the AP and the L-E deem this worthy to give Cromartie a national soapbox to show off his stupidity and failure of command of the English language?

Liberals...."Can't live with them" and you can no longer add the traditional option with out giving them a non-substantiated, non-fact supported opportunity to get back on their anti-gun soapboxes. Chances are better than even that Jared Loughner was one of their own disappointed by the failures of the DUMB&DUMBERat Congressional majorities at keeping their campaign promises. Can I substantiate my position? Maybe, maybe not, but what difference should that make to those who defend anything that supports their causes whether it's factual or not?

Have you looked at the Auburn team roster? 20 numbers are worn by 2 players, one number is worn by 3 players, and 8 numbers (under 100) are unworn (I understand why 7 & 34 aren't since they are retired numbers of former Heisman winners Sullivan and Jackson). In the scheme of things Aairon Savage is lucky he's a senior this year because when they retire Newton's #2, Savage would have had to get himself a new number next year. I wonder if BCS announcers had questions about their eye-sight during the championship game. They saw #18 catch his first career touchdown pass, and another # 18 kick the game winning field goal.

Have you ever wondered if the person who threw the first roll of toilet paper on the oak at Toomer's Corner envision him/herself as #1; do you imagine Mr Toomer thinking that the same person was a piece of #2 in his book?
