Remember the sidewalk program a few years ago? One such project built a sidewalk on the north side of Mobley Road extending from Whitesville Road for a few tenths of a mile westward. Can't say I ever remember any one walking on it, but it sure made the Post Office deliverers happy as they used it as their own private drive to put mail in the mail boxes that abutted the sidewalk. Now it's marked with the blue paint showing where the water lines are buried. Looks like the sidewalk will be ripped apart for some water project. That was your tax dollars at work being used unwisely.

Also, it carries the federal death penalty. 18 USC 1114 * The attempted murder of a federal official is a federal crime as well. * However, the federal offenses are not in substitution of state law offenses, but in addition to state law offenses. Loughner can be tried twice and sentenced to death twice for the murder of the federal judge, once under state law and once under federal law. And no, it’s not double jeopardy because the federal and state crimes are separate. Double jeopardy standards only apply to being tried twice for the same crime, not for two crimes arising out of the same conduct." -- I stand better informed..I think. Now, for the next question: Can Arizona try Loughner before the Fed trial, and if so, can Loughner be executed before the Fed case is ever heard?

Bill O'Reilly is right on in his column today. XPOTUS, Ambassador (or whatever his title is) to Haiti, lead dog in Haitian Hurricane Fund Raising, should demand, even be accountable for revealing where the BILLIONS of donated dollars have gone. It's obvious the bulk of Haitian families haven't benefited.
